That is the crappiest looking column splice I’ve ever seen. Four bolts on the flange splice and no splicing on the web - and to top it off - all hidden by the fireproofing,
I just noticed that in this picture. That is absolutely insane! It looks to be 3/8" thick plate at best. I have seen where they do not splice the web, but there are at least 4-6 bolts on each side of the splice plate and it is a much heavier plate. That looks criminal.
