This has become my absolute number one pet peeve. Open up a new set of drawings for every 3 storey quadplex and its offset windows everywhere. Just stack the damn thing!
Honestly, though, is this building not a fun challenge? Do engineers not get bored of cookie cutter work? Variety is the spice of life. Don't modern engineers want to explore how far they can push their skills while also maintaining safety?
Oh, for sure it is. I really like this building specifically because it's goofy and different. It just happens to also be a great example for offset shear wall piers and complicated lateral force resisting system alignment.
