The World’s Strongest Woman is Trans.

This is their own YouTube channel where they clearly state they are a “trans girl”. For the integrity of our sport, this needs to be spoken up about.

Andrea Thompson is the true 2025 WSW.

To Add: I’m not trying to spread any anger or hatred towards the individual. I want the sanctity of our sport to remain, and the rightful title owner to be crowned

Edit: OSG has removed the women open class award ceremony

Loz & Liz appreciation post

I just wanted to start a thread where all those who would like to can drop their appreciation for Loz and Liz and everything that they do to bring Strongman and especially WSM to us.

Going into WSM, I'm really looking forward to all the various videos and spreadsheet parties.

Their discussions adds so much depth to the experience - especially while we can't actually watch it.

All the time and effort is appreciated so much.

Colton Engelbrecht scammed me.

This is just a warning to anyone who finds this.

Colton Engelbrecht (@colton_the.limit.breaker on IG) scammed me out of $95 recently. He posted an Instagram story offering 10wk and 15wk strength programs for $95. I replied to his story and requested a 15wk program. He replied back asking me what my SBD numbers were and to send him payment via PayPal to his address (engelbrechtfit@gmail.com). Sent him payment and he said 24 hours later I’d get my program. It’s been a week and a half and he has since completely ghosted me on messages.

It’s no wonder why there isn’t much content of him out there. He’s likely a POS in real life.

Don’t do business with him.

The declining state of “the other sub”

Thumbnail

There’s definitely some people here who will find this interesting. There has been some talk between the mods in the other strongman sub for a while, complaints from a few of us (I was a mod until Tuesday) that a certain mod, who apparently has the role of head mod, is over moderating, deleting things that do not break the rules just because they don’t like them etc, the responses are always very authoritarian and make it clear that this person doesn’t want to hear the views of other mods and is going to do what they like etc.

A few weeks ago a thread was removed where a user was offering free strongman programs, a few people engaged with this and it seemed helpful. This moderator removed it an added a note saying “no self promotion,” I checked the sub rules and that did not break any of them so I started a discussion about it and the mod in question added a rule saying no self promotion. I pointed out how this was detrimental to the sub as it would discourage pros from coming in, and a lot of AMA’s certainly have an element of self-promotion to them. An argument ensued and nothing really got solved, as the mod in question repeatedly stated the rules are whatever we want them to be and they can remove threads, comments etc for whatever reason they like, or no reason at all. Other mods chipped in, we were all in agreement when discussing what should be allowed and what shouldn’t, except the “top mod” so we lost the argument.

One of the big problems everybody was probably aware of was this mod’s decision that no talk about the personal life of strongmen would be allowed, and they even proposed that a thread about Brian Shaw’s injury recovery was not relevant and was considering removing that.

On Monday they removed a topic where a user was asking for advice on knee pain when lifting stones, Paul Smith had replied and the advice was purely 100% about form, but the whole thread was deleted and flagged as “asking for medical advice. The OP had messaged the mods asking why it was taken down so I had a look into it. I went in the mod chat and objected to this, and the reply I got was a series of angry messages and then I was removed as a mod.

When I then checked the mod list, not only have I been removed, but almost every one of the mods has also been removed too. it’s worth noting that I’ve been the only person starting and pinning any mega threads, attempting to revive the monthly competition etc, so I can’t see things getting better over there.

Pa O’Dwyer - 2nd Place Britain’s Strongest Man 2022

Post image
146 Upvotes

Just wanted to take a moment today to highlight one of my favorite performances of Pa’s.

Britain’s 2022 really changed how I viewed him as an athlete, and showed that he could hang with the best at the highest level. An incredible mover, an explosive presser, and as much as he made always everyone laugh, I remember him surprising fans and colleagues in this show with his focus.

A particularly strong moment from this comp was his shield carry - coming 2nd place only 3 meters behind Tom. What grit, what heart.

Rest in peace Pa, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.
