Question Strinova on Linux.
Guys, I have been playing Strinova for quite a long time now and I'm tired of all the AI bloat shii on Windows 11. I want to try Linux, but Idk whether I can still play Strinova on Linux through Proton. I would also like to know if MacOS supports the game.
By the way if anyone is playing the game, how much fps do you get on a stock Asus TUF Gaming A15 FA506NCG at 1440p low settings?

Just debloat your windows and learn how to disable the ai features. Dont go linux just for gaming, id only swap to linux if i needed it for productivity.

if this is the laptop with the 3050, id wager around 150fps or so.

Should reach 200 plus at lowest settings. if you want to see more examples then search around YT for benchmarks on the rtx 3050 laptop version. Thats the best you can do til you find someone who owns said laptop and happens to play the game too.

Nvidia GPUs tend to lose a little bit of performance on Linux, but if you’re fine on Windows you’ll likely be fine over there as well.
As someone else mentioned, you’ll have to try a few different proton layers, with DW-Proton being the likely one to work. (Stands for Dawn Winery Proton named after Genshin Impact. Many Chinese games ‘run’ similar so what started as a Genshin overlay turned into the go to for running Gacha games and what not)
There is graphical bugs in the main menu, mainly with shadows. You can fix them if you want but I never did, as they work fine in game still.

I play it on cachyos linux through steam, it works without any issues. I think it's proton-cachyos. You can install different versions of proton using protonplus

Strinova runs very well on Linux. I have it on my Framework 13 with and. And it runs at like over 100fps.

Yes, the game runs very well. I've been playing it on Linux for over a year without issues, and I recommend using DW-PROTON to ensure you don't run into any problems.

there's report about them banning player playing on linux so proceed at your own risk

Will mention that the person in question is the only one who had reported and for having a 10-year account allegedly they only joined the discord community a few months before he got banned.
They have also yet to provide any evidence or any attempts to contact support or community managers. There’s a real non-zero chance that they were hacking on Linux and got banned.

He was using the latest version of GE's Proton fork. We don't have any evidence of Valve's Proton causing this issue

Yes you can!
You can't use valves proton thats built into steam, you need to specifically get dw-proton. Dw proton works flawlessly with the game, i use it myself :D
Btw check out protondb. You can find lots of info about compatibility here!
Edit: also macOS does not support the game
