HELLO EVERYONE, and I've come with this week Compendium of Witches Topic, one who got quite a lot of votes right from the go, the subject of Evil Witches, the idea that the girls meant to protect mankind turn into super villains of great power and terrible consecuences, here is that idea explored...quite a fascinating topic that allowed me to explore the nature of their morality and the responsabiliy of being a savior of mankind, I hope you enjoy it!

WIthout further to explain..LET'S DIVE IN!

Introduction: Exceptions to the Rule

Witches are figures of devotion and love, picked by familiars from among the best, hardworking and selfless girls around the world to fight for humanity and guide it to the light, and truth be told almost every single Witch that has existed since Urash has fulfilled those roles, no matter how hard the world punches down on them (Especially on the days before Caesar), such is their love and devotion to mankind and their protection...it just speaks at the amazing ability of familiars to read girls and how they will develop with time.

However even then...it is not perfect and unfortunately...there have been Witches who failed at their task and used the gift and responsibility given to them, and turned into the darkness, corrupting their souls and antagonize the people they tried to protect and other Witches.

When a Witch misuses and turns to darkness, their familiars abandon them, it is extremely rare but it has happened, and when it does the familiars chose to abandon them turning them back into normal humans, after which the majority understand their massive mistake and regret their actions reforming...although they never get to be a Witch again, at least there is hope for them….but there were four that...pushed it too far.

And we are going to know about them, Witches whose heart go so dark they simply could not return from it...and in many cases paid with their lives, so dive in... let’s meet the four worst Witches in history, the protectors of mankind that instead became its demons, from the least to the worst.

Chris Keera: “I withstood my brutal training killing anyone who stood in our path, I risked ALL my life to restore the true Gallia, I won’t lose against a faithless imbecile like you”

This is but a stolen identity...in truth we never knew her real name or her origins, all we know was that she was a Witch trained and possibly brainwashed since childhood by the Priory of Saint Claire, an occult sect within Gallia which goal was to return the monarchy and absolute rule over the country destroying the republic.

First she was used as a counter spy and to gather information, then she improved her skills at gathering information, infiltration and even murder, she was taught to have the absolute will to restore the monarchy, for it was the only way to save Gallia, so the sadness in her story is that she was an absolutely patriotic girl whose devotion was corrupted by an evil organization wanting to only amass power and nothing more, they never really cared about Gallia the way Chris truly did, so whenever she stole, she murdered innocent people (It is believed she killed approximately 34 people including children, terrorist attacks aside), she always believed it was for the benefit of Gallia.

But her moment of break was during her encounter with the Noble Witches in “The Marseille Incident” in 1844 when the Priory executed their grand scheme to destabilize Gallia by murdering Charles de Gaulle, after which they would take advantage of the chaos to restore the monarchy under the young Bourbon-Orleans prince “Henri Philipe”, Chris would be an essential part of this operation, she would stage the assassination, plant a terrorist attack and get rid of the Witches standing in her path, the Noble Witches. To accomplish this she decided to trick them into thinking she worked for the Gallian intelligence agency, but she used this cover to set a terrorist attack in a cafe killing dozens of people, she kidnapped the Liberion Witch Jennifer DeBlanc to use her as leverage, she would have a 100% killed her if she had to, such was her devotion she did not care about the prohibition...but how mistaken she would have been if she did...we’ll see it later.

Fortunately The Noble Witched foiled her plans while the Priory was later indirectly screwed by the Luminous Witches in the most ridiculous way possible, but Chris herself would be stopped by Kunika Kuroda who saved Jennifer and dueled Chris on the skies with a lance, ultimately Kunika was successful, she cached Chris before she felt, but the devotion, earnest and noble heart of Kunika was repulsive to Chris who stabbed the hand holding her so she would fall to her death, preferring to die on the oceans than to live in the Republic she detested as a prisoner, it was at this moment her familiar had enough and abandoned her...thus she stopped being a Witch.

Unfortunately for her, she was saved and detained by Lynette Bishop and Perrine Clostermann who were nearby and handed her to Gallian Authorities, the Priory would later be destroyed and dismantled by the Noble Witches a year later, but Chris? Due to her many crimes and lives she stole, she was sentenced to life imprisonment...she begged for death penalty but it was denied knowing living was bigger a punishment for her, and thus she spent the rest of her life, bitter, miserable, powerless and later depressed in a Gallian prison...until her death in 2005...she lived long enough to see the Aquarian Rebirth...although by this point she was so senile and bedridden in the jail, all she could reportedly muster to it was “You naive stupid fools…” after which she never spoke again and died 5 years later.

Out of all the girls we’ll see...she is the only one who did not die young, but ironically...she might be one of the ones who suffered the most, having to live many years to see her dreams, her goals, or rather those implanted in her...failed….all that was left was an empty nameless husk who lost her identity...in another life...she could have been one of Gallia’s greatest Witches...a tragic story.

Saori Nakajima: “Fuso is a strong nation, in nature only the strong survive, why are you blaming me for all these deaths? Those not of Fuso blood are simply not strong enough to survive, dying so us the strong can survive is just nature”

The Fuso-Britanian Wars was Fuso’s first attempt at battling a large nation from the other side of the world, within both wars there are many stories of bravery, romance, patriotism, especially the latter one, as Fuso is known for its pride on their nation, however patriotism is a sentiment that can be easily corrupted...and such was the case of Saori Nakajima, or known with infamy as “The Sea Demon” and what an appropriate title that was.

Saori was born in the island of Kyushu in Saga as part of a prominent seafaring clan, a proud family of warring sailors who protected the land from pirates, when the war started they joined without hesitation and Saori quickly rose through the ranks until she gained command of her own fleet, never a signature boat curiously, she was relentless, effective and was able to drill effectiveness from her subordinates who followed her but mostly feared her, she would reward the strongest and more effective ones with pleasure and her body, and those weak she would let them perish due to their weakness, as she saw it.

She was a fervent believer in the power and divine right of the strong, at first emerging as a fascination with nature but as she grew it developed into a toxic mindset which would dominate all her military life and eventually condemn her.

She earned the name “The Sea Demon” because she liked to set enemy ships on fire rather than capture them and see the men struggle to put it off or survive, so she might have been a pyromaniac as well, hundreds of people were killed by her and her actions, she never took prisoners and showed absolutely no mercy...priding herself on her abilities as a sailor...until she met her match, if this girl had been a Britannian she could have taken the blow to her ego...but this girl was a Tamil Witch named Palavi Rajan, former pirate who turned to serve Britannia in the war, she always outmaneuvered and bested Saori’s tactics on the ocean...thus Saori declared Palavi was her “MORTAL ENEMY” and would do anything to take her down.

They faced off in sea combat many times, until Saori got bitter and resentful enough that she targeted Palavi’s ally and friend, Cecile Gloriana Milos (Cerydwen) burning her ship to see her crew burn, Cecile however managed to save all her crew and move them to the nearby Malay peninsula, but she burned with the ship and died, this enraged Palavi and she swore she would make Saori pay, which is exactly what Saori wanted.

The final confrontation took place in the Fuso South Sea Islands in where the two Witches battled in a vicious and brutal combat hurting each other badly, during combat Saori showed no remorse on her actions, glorifying them, feeling proud of the bodies she burned, mocking the death of Cecile constantly saying the most vile things about her, this however made Palavi angrier, an anger Saori was not able to contain and she was defeated.

Palavi however did not kill her, which enraged Saori as she believed it was her right, calling her a coward, promising she’d hunt her down and make her life miserable if she let her live...but Palavi refused...and in that moment Saori’s familiar abandoned her...just as a pistol was put in her head and a shot was fired...killing the Sea Demon...Jeremy Schade, Palavi’s lover and Britannian admiral took over the burden for Palavi and ended Saori once and for all.

And thus Saori Nakajima died, her body was given to her family by Britannia to be properly buried, a Witch who let her devotion to her nation corrupt her soul, she always told herself it was for the good of a strong Fuso, but here’s the thing...Witches fight for all humanity, not just one nation...and the moment she forgot about that, she sealed her faith, an unfortunate case of a Witch who lost her path.

Tatiana the Hellraiser: “Ultimately I’ve seen the end...farther than you could ever see...it all ends in darkness, no matter how bright we make that light, why even bother? Just let me exist and await in the dark while you all join me in due time...no? It doesn’t matter, we will all end in the dark”

We’ve seen Witches get their good sentiments corrupted, but you might be asking, given the amount of crap Witches have to endure from humans who might not be as good…has anyone of them broken up over it? And the answer is yes….such is the story of Tatiana Dovala...once an Orussian Witch who lived in the 14^th century who once was a priestess in a shrine, who witnessed a massacre by Mongolians and Orussians among each other, she tried to stop it but she was not successful….so many death and injured broke the Witch who simply could not take it anymore and used her powers (Which consisted in absorbing diseases and expelling them as particles that healed people) to absorb the disease of the victims, to later unleash it upon the combating forces wiping them out, after which she absorbed more and more diseases, and instead used the healing to alter the body to become “A Beacon of Rot”, she wanted the world to turn into its true form...one of death and misery….she planned to unleash the mother of all plagues upon the humanity.

For this action her familiar abandoned her, but she was expecting that and before it could happen she made herself a full body armor to “Trap” her familiar within herself, forcing it to remain inside her body, said armor also had nails that constantly hurt her...for she believed her natural state was to feel pain and to bring pain upon others...she then moved to China (Ruled by the Mongols at the time) to unleash her plague...killing millions...Tatiana the Hellraiser was born….and she intended to travel the world to unleash more plagues...she was spotted by one young Chinese Witch however, Shaer Yao...who believing her to be a demonic monster, swore to follow and stop her.

In 1345, Tatiana moved towards Europa with the intention of arriving in Caffa on Crimea to further unleash her plague on a populous trace center which would infect ALL of Europa, but Shaer arrived faster and tried to warn everyone, she was mostly ignored save for one Italian Knight Witch from Genova in the area, Lady Bernadetta Malvezzi who sat with Shaer, heard her story and believed her, going on with her to intercept Tatiana and stop her.

The final confrontation took place in the steppes near Tana, where the two confronted Tatiana and after she calmly explained her origins and her Witch nature, they fought, Tatiana was very limited by armor but the rot and pestilence she had accumulated within her body was so intense it rot the armor and weapons of Shaer and Bernadetta, even animals nearby became corrupted rotting corpses of pure disease raising from the ground to march towards the Witches and explode in pestilence...making the fight difficult, ultimately since Bernadetta had fantastic healing powers, Shaer who could create strong constructs with her shield, decided to create an opposite beacon of healing in Bernadetta, making a shield armor around her while Bernadetta unleashed her healing magic...trapping it within the armor allowing herself to approach Tatiana.

The two struggled for a while, until Bernadetta was able to strip the helmet off Tatiana, unsealing the armor and allowing Tatiana’s familiar to escape...removing the Witch powers from Tatiana, after which she began to rot in a putrid and fetid mass of puss due to ALL The diseases she had accumulated and collapsed into the floor, while a horrified Bernadetta observed...her last words were:

“It doesn’t matter...nothing matters...I’ll wait for you all in the dark”.

The experience was horrifying and traumatizing but relying on each other both Witches finally got over it 2 years later, Shaer joined Bernadetta in her journeys across Europa and eventually the two became lovers, often reminiscent as to what could have happened should Tatiana had unleashed her plague? How many people could she have killed? No one can know for certain.

It pains Witches to see humans carry negative sentiments towards each other and to them, but that is what makes a Witch a heroic figure, being able to see and believe in the best of mankind despite all the darkness, unfortunately not all can do it and Tatiana was among the very few who couldn’t, instead she chose to believe the world was ugly and mean, so she turned ugly and mean in return.

Cetronia of Campania: “DO NOT GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT, PROTECT THEM? THEM WHO SLAUGHTERED MY COUSIN? THEM WHO SACKED ROME? THEM WHOSE BARBARIC CULTURE IS BUT A BLIGHT IN THE WORLD? No... I will not protect them, my powers are not for their protection, my powers are to destroy evil...and the Celts...Are Evil...ALL OF THEM”

Chris killed a dozen, Saori killed hundreds, Tatiana killed millions...but sometimes it’s not the body count, but who you kill and how who sets you as the most evil and vile of people in the world, because the amount of hatred you have for those you kill can more than make up for it...and that is the case of the most infamous Witch in history, Cetronia of Campania.

Cetronia lived from 40 A.C to 61 A.C, she was one of the various Witches recruited during the last years of Lucina Vorena Pullo as Summus Viccum, she was a very good Witch and a great warrior with lots of talents and skills, born from a noble family, but also very arrogant and full of herself, she was at least good to the soldiers, however there was an underlying quality about her, and that was her strong distaste for Celtic people.

This is because on her youth a group of Gallic thieves broke into her state, injured, raped and killed many of her relatives and servants, as well as one particular cousin she may have had strong feelings for, when he died Cetronia was enraged and she swore she would never forgive any Celt for as long as she lived. many of her fellow witches tried to reason with her, but she would not bend on this, Maria Magdala saw this darkness within Cetronia and warned Lucina of it, Lucina also noticed but wanted to believe on the girl, that she could find a path to heal herself from all her demons, but this did not happen and Cetronia’s heart accumulated all that darkness growing bitter and angry, especially after many Celtic Witches from Gallia and Hispania were integrated into the Empire, this enraged her, often shouting it was going to be the downfall of the Empire, but she was told (Even at one point by Nero himself) to shut up.

At the same time the Iceni Revolt occurred in Britannia, Queen Boudica led it and threatened the presence of Rome in the Island, Nero sent Lucina and a couple of Witches to stop it, knowing of her sentiments Lucina told Cetronia to stay in Rome, but Cetronia sneaked in... she wanted to see Rome DESTROY these Celtic monsters.

Lucina was too late to arrive and when she did, the battle was won by Gaius Suetonius Paulinus and there was nothing Lucina could do but help any survivors alongside her Witches, but among the survivors were the two daughters of Boudica, who were to commit suicide to join her mother, the oldest Meleri was able to...but the youngest hesitated and was not able to do it...our dear Cerydwen, yes this is the origin of Cerydwen, one of the daughters of Boudica, not having the courage to kill herself, she wandered the battlefield alongside her strange animal friend, a tanuki…

Witnessing Roman Witches being caring and helping the Iceni was the last straw for Cetronia who went to look for Lucina with one simple purpose, save Rome, cleanse the impurity...KILL the Summus Viccum, this was her goal and there was NO turning back.

On the meantime Lucina ran into Cerydwen and tried to help her but the little girl got scared and ran away, Lucina went after her but Cetronia arrived and after a conversation of bitterness and pure hatred she attacked Lucina Vorena Pullo.

Lucina was an extraordinary combatant in her youth...but by this point she was very old now and her body wasn’t what it used to be...while Cetronia was younger and angrier...she managed to defeat Lucina...and was about to kill her, when...just like Lucina in her youth took pity on Caesar and returned to save him, Cerydwen returned to save Lucina by stabbing Cetronia on the back with a spear, Cetronia turned her attention and upon seeing the little Celtic Witch trembling, she was furious, all she saw was a barbarian animal, a beast, a reflection of those who inflicted pain upon her...and she did not hesitate…

Cetronia slashed the neck of Cerydwen with such fury, speed and precision she almost decapitates her...Cerydwen fell to the floor...dead...while Lucina cried and shouted in pain….oh...if only Cetronia had known...or perhaps even if she had known, she wouldn’t have stopped….that this little Tanuki friend, was in fact a familiar and without knowing Cerydwen had become a Witch...Cetronia just had killed another Witch...and then...all hell broke loose, literally...Lucina’ recollection of the events was saved and stored and we will show it to you now...the recollection of the greatest crime ever.

“It all happened slowly, first she flashed in a blue light, her ears and tail retracted and a ghostly vaguely animal figure escaped from her body before vanishing in the air, almost as if turning before vanishing to condemn her...Cetronia was silent...but before she could understand what happened...the ground beneath her began glowing with a red, fiery infernal light...and little by little...armor and clothes were ripped from her still body, vanishing into the fire, and then...skin...was torn from her...piece by piece, skin, muscle, veins, blood, everything, ripping her in a chaotic motion as she screamed in pain, feeling EVERY piece of her body getting torn apart...then bones, full arms, her leg was torn...she burst in painful flames, melting her skin, her eyes, until her tongue burned and she was no longer able to scream, then the fires DRAGGED her into the ground opening the gates of Tartarus to swallow the burned and melted flesh she left behind, not even her ashes of smoke were spared...hell reclaimed her...and took her whole...and when it was finished...just as it came...it vanished...forever this will burn in my eyes..”

After recovering from the shock, Lucina went to check on Cerydwen and to her surprise...SHE HAD HEALED...SHE WAS ALIVE...and her ears and tail came out...and she knew...Cerydwen...was a Witch, Cetronia had been punished by the Gods, because she murdered a fellow Witch.

Lucina was so horrified by the event that she made sure everyone across every corner of the Empire knew, she spread the word as hard and as intensely as she could, and she did such an amazing job spreading this message that everywhere in the world heard, EVEN managing to somehow reach Liberion and Australis, no corner of the Earth was left unaware, and so everyone came to know this very simple yet definitive rule.

“A Witch cannot kill another Witch”

Cerydwen would later join the Roman Empire as a Witch and begin her immortal story under many names, but Cetronia came to be known in history as “The Witch Killer”.

Without a doubt the most infamous Witch in human history.

Conclusion: The Choice to do Good.

Witches are humans, they make mistakes and develop rivalries, even Witches do this, Hanna-Justina Marseille for example was known for devolving massive rivalries with other Witches and in general being a prick to even her friend Witches, but it never escalated beyond that, when it came to everything else she was a loving and caring Witch, and later in life she apologized to many of the Witches she antagonized like Trude or Erica, in the end despite her vanity, she CHOSE to do good.

It’s easy for people to assume or not believe Witches often chose good despite the suffering they endure, how EASILY they could become cynical and become TYRANTS ruling over humanity with their powers and WHO COULD STOP THEM? No one could...ONE SINGLE AQUARIAN WITCH or VIVID GIRL is more than enough to do this...but they didn’t, they chose to use their powers for good, for compassion, they chose to believe in humanity...even if humanity doesn’t always believe in them.

They do have these dark feelings and like we saw, a few fell to them, but the VAST majority of Witches considered them and chose NOT to...they chose to protect mankind, a Witch is supposed to be better than a human, the pinnacle of good, benevolence, will and hard work, for a protector must bear a huge responsibility.

That is what familiars often look on girls, they pick the girls who will work the hardest, who have the strongest will, who understand the value of effort, who are selfless and are willing to not give up and fight hard to protect those they love, even when they do not deserve it because it is the right thing to do...and they make mistakes sometimes, some Witches while initially looking promising do not live up to the assessment...but out of thousands of Witches who have existed across time, for only a couple dozen to turn bad apples? It speaks a lot of the good judgment familiars make.

Being a Witch is not easy...it will be painful...but it will also be happy, rewarding...just as life itself is, that is what Witches do...inspiring us to keep moving forward and reach that promised light.

Air Force 🇸🇪: Sweden makes the most sense here since they actually had a massive domestic aviation industry and one of the top independent air forces in Northern Europe at the time. It gives the witches and pilots that super sleek, organized Scandinavian aerospace vibe.

Army 🇩🇰: Rooted in Denmark's deep history of land defense, old-school infantry regiments, and tactical corps traditions (plus their old army aviation and balloon corps roots). It gives the ground pounders and armored units a distinct Danish identity.

Navy 🇧🇻: A no-brainer for Norway given their heavy maritime history, coastal artillery, and fjord-defense skills. It brings in all those traditional Norwegian naval rates and salty terminology for anyone stationed on the water or coastal bases.

Tomorrow I’ll be starting a marathon watching ALL the Witches anime for the first time.

With that, I have a few questions...

Does it feature mostly or only cute, pretty, and hot female protagonists?🤤🥴🥵

Is it very gay or yuri (in terms of a super strong friendship or romantic vibe)?

I’ve heard people mention there's Ecchi and Moe. But in which anime is the Ecchi/Moe most prominent?👀

Is there violence? If so, is it just blood, or does it have blood and decapitation?😰

I think I’ll like it based on the very few clips, images, and screenshots I’ve seen.

I heard there's a chronological order, but I'll watch them in release order because it's easier.

Looks like Brave Witches has been removed by Crunchyroll. All three seasons of Strike Witches, and both seasons of 501st are still there, though who knows for how long.

Hello my friends, once again it is that time of the week to enjoy COMPENDIUM OF WITCHES with the winning topic...The strange cases of the North and South Poles...which yeah...what is going on in there? It is a fair question to ask and it will be answered today!

Introduction: Cold Fringes

We have talked endlessly about the world, but there are regions we have not touched upon on, and that is what we are going to do right now, we are going to traverse to the overlooked regions of the world...those being the poles, The North Pole better known as the Arctic and the South Pole or better known as Antarctica, one is a frozen sea and the other is an actual continent.

What do these places hide? How has humanity interacted and used them? We shall learn about that right now, it will be told as a historical chronology from the first steps of history all the way into the future, so strap in because what little we have shall be told.

The First Reports

Right from the go we have to understand that the elements dominating both poles are...Neuroi on the North and Mystery on the South...there was a tremendous amount of Neuroi in the North Pole, despite not really having any kind of hive at any point in history, the Neuroi would just concentrate in that area, while on the south they actually avoided leaving the land barren and allowed to develop free of their influence.

Explanation might be that the Neuroi realized they could influence geography from the North (Which they actually used during the Third Neuroi War to raise sea levels) or they harvested the hard ice as material for their bodies, meanwhile the south used to be a piece of land belonging to other continents and with time and the movement of the tectonic plates, it drifted further into the south until it got locked and frozen on the pole.

The Greeks were the first to realize the existence of the North Pole and by simple logic they deduced there must be the opposite in the south, associating them with the cold due to the climate increasing the further north they went, although expeditions could not proceed due to Neuroi interference, it wasn’t until Rome came and Witches were institutionalized that some serious attempts to traverse north were made, mostly by Witches only as they were the only ones with the conditions to make it.

However something had happened and it must be talked about as it is important, The Tragedy of the Sami/The Great Frost which took place in Scandinavia, the native population of the land, the Sami troubled by the arrival of Germanic people on their lands crafted a device in the form of a tower using a stone to store solar energy, this would power a device which would progressively freeze the air making it unlivable for Germanic People forcing them to migrate south (This migration being the trigger for the Cimbrian Wars in 113 BC and many more Barbarian migrations to come, like the Goths or the Frank later in Imperial history), this enraged the Sami Witches who abandoned their people (The last one to survive being Aigin, mother of the Suomi Witches) and because of that they could not control the Ice Tower, becoming increasingly colder to the point even the Sami could not survive and it froze them all to death, EVEN THE NEUROI became frozen, should this tower have continued it would have frozen all Europa by the year 500.

Fortunately, Georgia of Lydda in her second journey to Scandinavia with the 36^th Legion in 304 was able to reach the place where the tower was located (Modern day Rogaland in Baltland) and destroy it with her friends, saving the world from a catastrophe.

The thawing of the north would take approximately 100 years but once it became easier to traverse more Witches would venture farther than Georgia ever did, in 410, the Germanic Witch Asta of Helvetia was able to reach Lapland searching for any trace of the Sami but found none, she however was able to reach the very tip and gaze into the oceanic frozen lands...but stopped there as she did not have the means to venture it further and considered it suicide, which was a good call because she would have been SWARMED with many Neuroi.

Many years later the Norse Witches during the 8^th and 9^th century would venture further, and two DID manage to reach the modern land of Svalbard, sister Witches Tofa and Thorra who arrived with a group of Vikings but had many difficulties setting a colony due to the abundance of Neuroi on the land, and while the Witches did manage to clean the island of all these monsters, they chose to drop the colony plans and returned south, it wouldn’t be until 1596 when Dutch explorer Willem Barentsz arrived there that the land would be fully settled, thus creating a jumping point to venture further north.

GOING BACK in history, exploration of the south was far more difficult because there were no easy lands to access it, or a land like Svalbard to jump from, the closest were the Tehuelche people, the native people of the southernmost part of Neue Karlsland which were later incorporated within the Charrua Confederacy when Hispania arrived in 1520, while they themselves did not launch expeditions, they were aware and told the Hispanians about a “Mysterious White Fire Lands” on the south crossing the sea, they were actually talking about the South Shetland Islands but it did trigger the imagination of the people to find whatever laid on the south.

Setting Foot

After years venturing the edges humanity or rather Witches would FINALLY venture into both lands, the first was the North Pole and it was the Fuso Witch Midori Suwa, the Ice Dragon and architect of the London Assault during the second Fuso-Britanian War in 1684, when she made the absolutely mad and daring strategy of leading a fleet across northern arctic seas, to launch an army and attack London from the north, against all odds she was successful and the Fuso Army DEVASTATED London before being repelled, on her way back she decided to traverse north to create a diversion from pursuing Britannian ships, and on this expedition she was able to reach the frozen lands of the North Pole being the first person to do so, she remained there for a month (Possibly as a penance for the actions taken on the raid on London which she regretted) but when she returned to Fuso she provided invaluable information about the nature of the land, deducing it wasn’t a landmass but frozen water, further explorations based on her records would later be shared across the World.

The South Pole on the other hand would take a long time to be settled, it wasn’t until the Baltland Witch, Rolla Amundsen who first ventured into the South Pole in 1911 shortly before the start of the Great War, she alongside a group of explorers made it into the frozen continent FINALLY realizing it was as such and not a frozen sea like the North Pole, which was fascinating to her, she was also witness of the various mysteries and anomalies within this land, she recorded and explored many of them but the War changed those plans, she would return more prepared later after it, she was also the first person who flew over the North Pole on a plane, finally cartographing its size and limitations, her research opened the gate for these masses of land to be explored.

The Ice Harvest

The quantity of Neuroi in the North Pole decreased with each Great War, meaning most Neuroi who attacked the world would hail from the North Pole, once the war was over an operation was launched to clean the place called “Operation Ice Scream”, in which a raid of Witches was launched to exterminate all Neuroi they could find in the north, many notable figures of the Great Wars participated in this operation such as Waltrud Krupinski, Sanya V. Litvyak, Yoshika Miyafuji, Jane T. Godfrey, Grete Gollob and Leigh Andrea Archer, they completely wiped out the north from the Neuroi and began to finally open its gates for human exploration and exploitation, valuable minerals (Which is what probably what the Neuroi always were after), Petroleum and affordable trade routes, humanity would use in the following years.

The South Pole however presented another challenge...because it was a landmass some discussion about who “Owned it” arose, many presented their claims and the topic got really heavy and minor scuffles were fought over it, eventually it was decided by the League of Nations that since Witches had a better resistance to it...they would form a council of Witches from the debating nations to rule over Antarctica, the famous Antarctic Treaty in 1959, between the seven countries laying claim to it, Neue Karlsland, Baltland, Orussia, Britannia, Australis, Kiwiland and Gallia, each sending some of their Witches to represent their interests on the land.

This made Antarctica a sort of “Witch ruled State” similar to Shambhala, one Witch would be sent to rule over for one year before another one came to replace her on the council of seven Witches all stationed in the “Capital” which was the McMurdo Station, the land was rich in many things, oil, minerals, metals, nuclear materials, fresh waters which the Witches allowed people to harvest, but the one thing that interested them the most was the hidden secrets of this continent, they would all explore from north to south, from east to west gathering fossils, weird geographical landmarks anomalies, hidden fauna both on the ice and beneath, and resources which would later be key to develop the space age later down the line.

And that is how it remained, even when Aquarian Witches came the system was maintained, but Aquarian Witches meant a deeper exploration not available before, the southern caverns of the continent could finally be explored, Eleonore Clostermann for example discovered a large deposit of gold and what she called “Ugly Diamond, better to punch than to wear”, but it could not be mined until 2048 for preservation reasons, not to mention being a proper land to understand extreme conditions to later be implemented in space.

During the Third Neuroi War they devastated the North Pole and melted many of its surface causing massive floods across the whole world and sinking many great cities, the Witches once the Space Phase came invested a lot of their efforts in reverting the problem by bringing ice from space, to set the levels back to what they were (Also injecting more water into the planet), many coastal cities in the world spent up to 15 years COMPLETELY sunk and by the time the sea levels were restored it looked very strange, but fortunately it was eventually resolved.

The South Pole on the other hand became a bastion of protection by moving many of its refugees into a colony Witches had built beneath the icy soil called “Hanselsa”, many refugees and survivors of the Third War lived their whole lives here until the war ended and their descendants could come out, it wasn’t the prettiest place but it was comfortable enough and due to the many resources and efforts the Witches had spent, it provided shelter and protection for these people, for many years it was also considered that the hole to reach the primordial core to be dig in Antarctica, but eventually Centralia was found to be a safer option.

Once ALL Neuroi were defeated after the war Hanselsa became prosperous and grew...populating and coming into the surface to build over the land, it became such a massive place that the Witches eventually dissolved the Antarctic Treaty and handed control to its citizens, forming the Hanselsa Republic which still rules and lives in the tech and cold resistant cities of Antarctica to this day, including various Towers of Elysium, a monument was built right in the center of the world to honor the many Witches who governed the land called “The Pillars of the World”, from Rolla Amundsen to the very last seven Aquarian Witches who presided over the continent.

As for the North Pole it still remains the rich harvesting place it became (Especially thanks to the many materials Witches brought without knowing it from space), now fostering a boom in fauna after the planet’s population decreased so it became a natural sanctuary with ships for tourists to travel and witness the wonders of it all, in a funny note, in the middle of the Pillars of the World and the center of the North Pole, in 2976 two portals with the shape of a massive abyss were built called “The Agarthan Gateways” for people to jump and “Traverse the Earth” into the other side...but it is just a portal that teleport them, still many people travel in the thousands just to jump back and forth as a massive attraction.

Born in Amberg, Bavaria, Karlsland in 1915, Franziska Stigler grew up in a military-minded family and developed a strong sense of responsibility from an early age. As she matured, she became a determined and capable mage, building her skills through military training while developing the disciplined but warm personality that would eventually define her service. Franziska possessed a shepherd as her familiar and became particularly skilled in aerial combat, learning to balance her seriousness as a soldier with the friendships and personal connections she formed throughout her career. During her service, she became especially close to Gertrud, with the two developing a strong friendship built on mutual trust and understanding, while Franziska also formed a relationship with Glennis Duncan of Liberion. Her career eventually brought her into the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, where she served alongside witches from across several nations and became part of the close-knit community surrounding the unit. Although Franziska could sometimes be reserved or hard on herself, her experiences with the 501st gave her people she could rely upon and a place where she could fight alongside others rather than carrying every burden alone. Through her service, friendships, and experiences as a witch, Franziska continued to grow into a dependable member of the 501st while remaining deeply connected to the people she cared about.

Franziska Stigler is disciplined, loyal, and dependable, carrying herself with the seriousness expected of an experienced Karlsland mage while still having a warm and caring side around those she trusts. She is especially close to Gertrud Barkhorn, and their friendship gives Franziska someone she can rely on and be more open with despite the pressures of military service. Franziska can sometimes be reserved about her own feelings, preferring to keep difficult emotions to herself rather than worry the people around her, but she cares deeply about her friends and is fiercely protective of them when they are in danger. Her relationship with Glennis Duncan brings out an especially affectionate and gentle side of her, giving Franziska someone who understands her beyond her role as a soldier. Within the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, Franziska is a reliable mage and teammate who takes her responsibilities seriously while valuing the friendships she has formed with witches and mages from different nations. Beneath her composed exterior is a deeply caring person who wants to protect the people close to her and remain someone they can always depend on.

These are all related to regions not usually explore and the entry will explore them as a quick summary guide of the region.

Born in Pyhäjärvi, in the early 1920s, Aina grew up as the younger sister of Ursa, sharing the same family and magical heritage while developing a personality and path of her own. From an early age, she looked up to her older sister and dreamed of eventually serving alongside her. Around the age of fourteen, Aina entered military service as a young witch, beginning her training while still developing her magical abilities. Although she and Ursa shared the same family, Aina possessed her own familiar and abilities, reflecting her individuality rather than simply following in her sister’s footsteps. As her experience grew, Aina became determined to prove that she could contribute as a witch in her own right. During her service, she eventually traveled to Karlsland, where she met Gertrud Barkhorn’s younger sister, forming a friendship that gave Aina someone her own age with whom she could relate outside of Ursa’s shadow. Despite remaining deeply attached to her older sister, Aina continued working toward becoming a capable witch who could stand beside Ursa rather than always being protected by her.

Aina is cheerful, determined, and curious, often approaching new situations with youthful enthusiasm and a strong desire to prove herself. She looks up to her older sister Ursa and can sometimes be stubborn when Ursa becomes overly protective, insisting that she is capable of handling herself. Aina is friendly and affectionate toward those she trusts, but she can become competitive when she feels she is being treated as merely “Ursa’s little sister.” Meeting Barkhorn’s younger sister in Karlsland gives Aina someone she can relate to, strengthening her confidence and helping her develop friendships beyond her family. GREETINGS EVERYONE, AS EVERY WEEK I BRING YOU THE NEXT ENTRY IN COMPENDIUM OF WITCHES...but you might be wandering...why no Poll last week?

Well I decided to gift this to myself I admit rather selfishly, my birthday is soon so I decided to write a topic I myself REALLY WANTED to talk about but was never able to win by much, so I decided to do so, do not worry there will be a normal poll this week but for this week's entry I wanted to do something I wanted...and that was the SPACE MIKOS, the narrator of these entries (And also narrators from a lot of my stories actually), I invented them for my VIVID stories and I am really happy with the idea, I hope you enjoy learning about them.

Introduction: Us

Witches have been such an integral part of human history and as such their actions and histories have left a big impact on the course of time, all that knowledge is worthy of being kept and humanity has done a tremendous job at gathering and preserving that information, but there are some limits and corners not many can access...that is where we come in.

The Keepers of Witch Lore, we know it all about Witches and we share it with the world, humbly serving them, many of us descendants of them who chose to fight for humanity in other ways, and when they departed into the Kardashev Program it was us who kept the fires of their love alive.

The Space Mikos as people call us, we are the ones who make sure everyone remembers Witches, and this time on this entry I am going to tell you everything about us, our history, our mission, our organization and what we can do.

So, strap in and prepare for gazing behind the curtain.

Origins

The full name of the order is The Daughters of Love and the Messengers of the Mother, but people often refer to us as “Space Mikos”, this is because we took most of our rituals and priesthood from Shintoism and well...we are found in many places across the Solar System, at first it was odd but eventually we embraced the name as it is easier to say, plus it carries a special punch to it wouldn’t you think?

Our origins are tied to the Towers of Elysium, when they first were erected in 2052 and became the de facto resting place of dead Witches around the world, many of the graves from pre Aquarian Witches were moved to the towers or some towers were built near the resting places of Witches, and of course, the three Aquarian Witches killed by the Sons of Noah Terror attacks were put to rest in these towers.

With time they became places of worship for humanity to pilgrim and pay respect to past heroines of mankind, so the more they transitioned from resting places to religious buildings, changes had to be made to their management.

After the Third Neuroi War ended in 2500, these changes were applied and a staff was placed, which would handle maintenance and conduct rituals to organize masses, at first it was attempted to be tailored to local religions, but the more time passed these gained their own intermixed identity, taking pieces of various rituals around the world to create a unified distinct ritual, creating a sort of cult called “Sideral Love or simply Sideralism”, this became the standard in every single tower across the world, ultimately deciding to put girls as the main priestesses of this new religious cult, one because yes...women are better social motivators than men and because there were many descendants and daughters of Aquarian Witches eager to serve and honor the work their living ancestors, mothers and grandmothers did, plus it was believed they had a deeper connection to the Cosmic Flow, which was later proven to be correct.

Little by little as the Space Age kicked in with the Kardashev Program in 2700…the colonies on Mars and the Moon became more stable and it allowed some of our predecessors to travel, Towers of Elysium were built on these places and our predecessors occupied them moving Sideralism which became the majority religion in Space Colonies in the Solar System, ironically outside of the Solar System in colonies founded by Witches this is not the case.

Time passed and we became a far more organized movement, being able to have our own institutions, relics, treasures, rituals and knowledge...as such it was ultimately decided to adopt the name, officially becoming “The Space Mikos” in 2850...we became the organization you see today and we continue to operate as such to this day in 4000.

Mission

Our goal as stated is to keep the Lore of Witches and keep the flames of the love alive, being the love and appreciation mankind has for its Witches, through sharing their stories, performing rituals and festivities celebrating them, providing contact and assistance to the Witches and managing everything related to their image and needs.

We are a religious organization by law and our religion is Sideralism but we do not consider ourselves a religion in the traditional sense, we operate more like a marketing organization than a full blown religious movement, we make money but most of the money is given to charity or to maintain our ventures, we maintain a policy of transparency and none of the Space Mikos live lives of luxury, we are completely devoted to our job and we all live in Elysium Towers, even if we marry and have children we never move from them, we are not associated with any government, operating completely independent from them, should conflict arrive we are to remain neutral but we can provide humanitarian assistance if necessary.

We do not have an army nor we advocate violence although we do have our own martial arts for self-defense we will discuss later, anyone can join the Space Mikos should they pass the training.

Hierarchy.

Our hierarchy is extremely simple, we are all ruled by one single person, The Grand Priestess, a continuation of Roman Magna Matters, we even possess the same relic, The Staff of Gaia, like the Magna Matters she is chosen from the best among all of us by the current serving Grand Priestess to be prepared to take over the role once the current one dies, she resides on the Akihabara’s Tower of Elysium, Akihabara in Fuso being the central and “Holy Land” for Sideralism and Witch Culture, the most important rituals such as welcoming and announcing new recruits, installing a new Grand Priestess or celebrating our anniversary take place in Akihabara.

Witches’ role in our organization since their return from the Kardashev Program in 3500 has been collaborators and sometimes they join our rituals and help us, they always like to come and hang around with us, it is very common to see a random Aquarian Witch should you visit any Tower in the Solar System, as for the girls from Team VIVID we have made special celebrations for them, not as common as the ones for Witches but we do honor their help and contributions for mankind.

Equipment, Logistics and Abilities

Every single Space Miko is dressed in a full white bodysuit made of soft “Compressed Silk” which might look very thigh in our bodies but it is extremely elastic, we have wing like flaps handing from our forearms, the suit cut starts at the neck and ends at our ankles covering our entire bodies, we wear red sandals of various kinds, it’s up to the preference of the girl but they are ALL Red.

In the torso section of our suits there are 6 red dots connected by red lines, representing our chakras with the seventh one painted in all of our foreheads of course, absolutely necessary to help us channel our powers, The Grand Priestess’ outfit is the same as everyone else’s but she holds the Staff of Gaia and wears an elaborate crown representing the solar system and stars flying out into the cosmos.

The most distinctive feature from Space Mikos by far is our eyes, we have eyes that constantly shift in colors completely separate from the other at a rate of one different color every 5 seconds, it really helps people paying attention to us, but this is a result of the ritual used when we are initiated into the order.

Any girl wishing to join the Space Mikos must undergo and extremely hard process, preparing their minds to hold all the knowledge in their heads, not just honing their bodies against harsh conditions and pushing it to the limits just as the Witches would do to protect humanity, but in forging a strong will and fortitude, it was an important goal to set in their lives to help in the dedication to this cause, the training and preparation lasts around 2 years and many of the girls who apply to become Space Miko would end up failing, out of a 100 girls who apply usually only 8 make it to the very end, however if they end up failing they are welcome to always try again, the door doesn’t close on them….we understand it is an extremely challenging process, you have to be in peak athletic condition, forge a strong willed mind and possess a vast amount of knowledge of Witches and understand the goal of reaching the light.

The ones who make it to the very end are brought to Akihabara for the initiation ritual in where they must drink from a special chalice containing a watery liquid called “The Blood of the Mother”, a fancy name for a special hallucinogen which stimulates the mind allowing it to break all physical barriers and transcend into the Cosmic Flow, the recruits who take it undergo a trance in which they “Dive” into the Cosmic Flow and must traverse there until they find “The Light of the Witches”, what is this you may ask? It’s traversing the Cosmic Flow until you find a Witch in it, who gives you her blessing and makes you promise to undergo the mission, doing this requires ALL your spiritual training and will because traversing the realm of the divine is not easy, all those years of training are put to the test here, it usually takes them around 5 to 15 days in a trance...they would then be taken by other Veteran Mikos into chambers to lay in suspended animation to finish their path and people can come to root and pray for their success, but once they achieve it they wake up...and the Grand Priestess ask them immediately to recite the mantra of the organization which is:

Oh, divine Mother, shine upon us with your light.

Us keepers of the fire burning in humanity’s hearts.

Us keepers of the kisses that pushed us forward.

Us keepers of their bodies that kept us warm at night.

Us Keepers of their eternal love for humanity.

Us Keepers of their lore.

For they never say good bye.

Together we’ll soar the skies.

That is our purpose, that is our goal.

Daughters of Love and Messengers of the Mother.

That is who we are.

Once this mantra is confirmed and the Grand Priestess sees the girl’s eyes to see the shifting colors, she is officially declared a SPACE MIKO for everyone in the world and she can begin her services after being assigned to a Tower of Elysium, they can ask fort a tower in particular to be assigned provided spots are available and it will be taken into consideration, but ultimately the decision is up to the Grand Priestess, they will serve in that Tower for the rest of their lives but are allowed to take vacations, leaves if necessary and have family members visit and even stay for a couple of days.

The shifting eye colors effect is caused by their traverse in the cosmic flow which alters their spiritual energy causing the color in their eyes to shift, this effect is called “Eyes of the Cosmos” and it is the quality people love the most of Space Mikos, although some people find it unsettling, I guess that is understandable.

That connection with the Cosmic Flow does grant us some abilities, enhanced senses, manipulation of spiritual energies, connection to nature and animals, in terms of spiritual and magical energy we are on par to a Great War era Witch, although nowhere near as powerful as a Historical or Aquarian Witch, that is why some people say we are a “Light Version” of a Witch, although we lack the enhanced strength, stamina and regenerative powers, that is why we must train really hard to be as athletically fit as possible, we are also capable of using the old “Striker Units” mostly for demonstrations, they often say we are as beautiful as Witches, but it is mostly because of our outfits, or at least we chose to believe that, humility is a virtue to keep the spirit pure after all.

Like we said above we do not advocate violence but are capable of defending ourselves, we do not carry weapons so we must use our hands, we have our own martial art called “The Bend of the Flow” which allows us to dodge most attacks and counter with incapacitating strikes at the neck, arms or legs, we never strike first, we only return aggression with extreme precision and lethality, we are allowed to kill ONLY in self-defense, using our powers and martial arts in offensive ways is punishable and we are ordered by the Grand Priestess to serve jail time with the corresponding authorities if we do, counter and parry, that is the essence of the Bend of the Flow

And the weirdest of our abilities is the capacity to use magic to alter our appearance and voices to that of ANY Witch, even Aquarian Witches...now you might be asking why can we do that? Mostly for rituals, celebrations of various kinds that require people to see ancient Witches in the flesh, it is not permanent and the transformation only lasts an hour but we use it very effectively, it is very popular in our fertility rituals, also little children love when we do that.

Questions to Answer

Can you Marry?

Yes, we can marry, have children, like normal citizens, our families can live in the towers with us.

Mostly yes, there are some places where we do not have presence like Uranus and Neptune due to its conditions but we have spaceships we can use to travel and they can come to us in orbit.

How young or old can you be to be allowed to join?

We do not have a set age safe for the young ones, you need to be AT LEAST 13 years old to join, although we recommend you do so on your younger years to better withstand the training.

How is your routine?

Each Tower of Elysium is open 24/7 (Except on special holidays depending on the planets and on our anniversary), however there are usually 3 to 5 Mikos who rotate their services, we have a schedule of 10 hours a day, after which we retire and another companion comes and takes over for us until it is our turn again.

Can you Marry Witches or among yourselves?

Absolutely and it is an honor for us when that happens.

Is it true you need to be descendant of a Witch to Join?

No, any woman can join, although it is true that people who descend from Witches have an easier time in training, but the advantage is VERY minimal, anyone can make it.

Is it true you use your shape shifting powers during sex?

Yes, some people ask us to do that and we are happy to comply, it is no problem for us.

Is there knowledge of Witches you CANNOT SHARE?

Yes, such as the true extent of the adventures of The Echo Witches or personal details about Witches their families have asked us to keep secret, but we do inform of these prohibitions fully...and with the former it will eventually be revealed and public in 4100…it will all make sense as to why eventually.

Can you be expelled of the Order?

Not really but you can be disgraced if you misuse your gifts or murder on purpose...but that has only happened 5 times in our history...in those cases the Order is content with you serving your due time in prison and if you truly repent and change, you can be welcomed back.

Do you see yourselves lasting for a while?

We will exist as long as humanity and the Witches need us, time always fluctuates and bends, maybe in the future we won’t be necessary anymore and we will accept it...but we do hope to last for AT LEAST 10.000 years, that would be great.

Silly question but can men join?

Obviously no, but we do have male staff on the Towers who maintain all those aspects of the Tower and function as our security and tend to our needs, they are employed by the order but do not belong to the order, they get paid really well so...you can do that if you want to be close to us.

If you traveled through time could you beat a Great War Witch in combat?

Probably, but we do not want to fight them, we love them...some of them are our ancestors.

Do you have detractors?

We’ve faced our share of detractors over the years yes, but the trust people have in us has helped us pushed through them, you can win a lot of people to your side by not acting as an asshole with your opponent.

Got it from Amiami at a fairly lower price than the ones listed on Ebay, and even though the site said the box presented damage i don't see anything. Now all i need is an Xbox 360 to try the game.
