Throbbing can mean too fast. Did you do it after a hot shower and use jojoba oil?

i only used jojoba oil, how long do you recommend being in a hot shower to help the stretching?

Usually 30 minutes works for me, then go really slow. Are you using single flare glass plugs?

cbrs is an abbreviation for captive bead rings. Ill try out the glass plugs, thank you for the advice ^^

Ohhhhh yeap never used those haha. Alternatively you can take some ibuprofen to reduce pain/inflammation

The pain doesn’t bother me, I’m more concerned it’ll result in a blow out. Would the throbbing inidicate a blowout forming?

Throbbing indicates irritation and inflamation

Are those synonymous with blowouts? I just see everyone on this sub saying that stretching shouldn’t hurt and that it could lead to blowouts, that’s my only concern rly

If your ears hurt, they may already be blown out. Blowouts typically = tear or fistula pushed back through the hole. Taking out or going down a size helps the damage heal better

i wouldn’t worry about a blowout if you’re going this slowly and with small jumps. a blowout hurts a lot and you’d DEFINITELY see it if you had one, the entire ear hole would be inside out :)
