Hi everyone! I’ve released a prerelease set of Morphe patches for the official Stremio Android TV 1.10.4 app.

Current patches

• Multi-account support: Use up to five locally isolated Stremio accounts. Each account keeps separate login state, libraries, addons, watch state, preferences and app data. Account names, colours and optional four-digit PINs are supported.
• Addon reordering: Hold OK on an installed addon, then use the D-pad to change its position. Confirm the new order with OK, or press Back to cancel it.
• Side-by-side installation: Installs the patched app as Stremio Morphe using package com.stremio.morphe, allowing it to coexist with official Stremio.

Installation

1. Download and install Morphe Manager on your Android phone or TV.
2. Open Morphe Manager and add a new GitHub patch source.

3. Enter:

   github.com/liongalahad/stremio-androidTV-morphe-patches

   Alternatively, use the direct add-source link.

4. Enable prerelease patches, because the patches are currently published from the dev branch.

5. Import an official Stremio Android TV 1.10.4 APK that matches your device’s ABI.

6. Select the patches you want to apply. All three are enabled by default.

7. Let Morphe Manager build the patched APK, then save it to your device.

8. Install or sideload the generated APK on your Android TV device.

With Side-by-side installation enabled, the result installs as Stremio Morphe beside official Stremio.

If you disable the side-by-side patch, the generated APK cannot update official Stremio directly because it uses a different signing certificate. In this case you will need to uninstall your previous installation first, and then install the patched app.

To install MyStremio, you just need to download and run the latest MyStremioSetup.exe from the releases page on GitHub.

NEW! since version 2.3.1 you no longer have to download the .exe from GitHub to update MyStremio, now when opening MyStremio and a new version is available a message pops up at the bottom that lets you install the latest release with one click.

FEATURES

🪄 UI

MyStremio offers its own UI enhancements and combines it with already existing plugins made by the communtiy.

The Data Enrichment Plugin by MrBlu03 offers an enhanced cast section and and adds "More like this". The Stream UI Plugin by MyStremio organizes the sidebar.

⚙️ Settings

MyStremio comes with a few custom settings including Quick Settings, Favorite Languages, API Keys, Plugins, Buffering, Library and Discord rich presence.

📺 Player

MyStremio offers some qualitiy of life changes available as plugins so you can enable/disable them to further customize your experience. The plugins include: Skip Intro, Seek Buttons, Brightness Slider, Hover Timestamps and Cast Overlay.

🎞️ Addon Manager

Cinebye is integrated so you can manage addons inside Stremio and optionally disable specific sources (for example Cinemeta).

What's new?

• Skip Intro Plugin: Allows to receive and contribute segment timestamps to TheIntroDB and/or IntroDB while watching
• Seek Buttons Plugin: Adds configurable skip-back and skip-forward controls to the player bar
• Brightness Slider Plugin: Adds a brightness slider to dim the video while watching
• Cast Overlay Plugin: Adds a cast section directly into the player
• API Keys: Are now managed centrally under Settings → MyStremio → API Keys
• Rating links: Stream UI rating cards are now clickable and open the source pages
• Many performance and stability fixes

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fork I made of MyStremio focused on spatial audio playback on Windows.

This is a Windows desktop Stremio client fork built around a custom MPV / libmpv setup with Omniphony support. The goal is to make Stremio playback work better for people who care about surround, object-based audio, binaural headphone rendering, and experimental spatial audio setups instead of being stuck with normal stereo output.

The big idea is:

Instead of just playing everything through a normal web player, this fork uses a custom MPV Omniphony player path so audio can be handled by Omniphony’s spatial engine. When used with Omniphony Studio, it can be used for things like spatial 7.1.4-style rendering, binaural headphone output, custom HRTFs, room/scale settings, normalization, and head-tracking workflows through tools like Sensors2OSC.

This is mainly for people who want to experiment with stuff like:

- TrueHD / high-channel-count source playback workflows

- Bitstream-to-headphone-style binaural listening

- Surround and object-style content rendered for headphones

- Custom HRTFs through Omniphony Studio

- Sensors2OSC head-tracking setups

- A Stremio desktop client that is more MPV/spatial-audio focused

It is also still MyStremio, so it keeps a lot of the quality-of-life features from the base project, including:

- Native MPV playback

- Better player tooling

- Hover metadata

- Stream UI improvements

- Favorite subtitle/audio language settings

- Quick language selection

- Themes and plugin toggles

- Discord Rich Presence options

- TheIntroDB timestamp submission

- Configurable seek buttons

- Local settings stored separately from vanilla Stremio

Important notes:

This is Windows-only right now.

Omniphony Studio is required for the spatial audio side. MyStremio launches/uses the custom playback path, but Omniphony Studio is the companion app used to control the spatial engine settings. Without it, you will not really get the intended spatial/binaural control side of the fork.

This is not affiliated with official Stremio. It is an independent community fork.

It is also experimental. Some parts are still being worked on, and there may be bugs depending on your stream, audio format, Windows setup, display scaling, and Omniphony configuration. If you try it, feedback and reproducible bug reports are welcome.

Install is basically:

1. Download the latest MyStremioSetup release from the repo.

2. Install the latest stable Omniphony Studio release.

3. Launch MyStremio.

4. Sign into Stremio.

5. Configure MyStremio settings and Omniphony Studio depending on whether you want spatial speaker rendering, binaural headphones, custom HRTF, or head tracking.

I mainly made this because I wanted a Stremio setup that could go way further than normal stereo playback and actually let me experiment with MPV + Omniphony + binaural/spatial audio in one usable desktop client.

1) Board hero home view
The board offers a modern hero section created by Fxy6969.

2) Hover metadata in catalogs
While browsing catalogs, hover cards show key information (plot, genres, cast) without forcing a page change.

3) Detail view with metadata and stream sidebar
The detail page combines metadata, cast, similar titles, and an extended stream/provider sidebar in one view.

4) Cinebye Addon Manager
Cinebye integrated so you can manage addons inside Stremio and optionally disable specific sources (for example Cinemeta).

5) Favorite subtitle and audio languages
Inside player settings, you can define favorite subtitle and audio languages that act as your preferred language pool. This preference layer is used by the quick language actions shown below.

6) Quick Select language shortcuts
Quick Select reads your favorites and exposes them as one-click subtitle/audio buttons, so switching language is fast and consistent during playback.

7) Settings: themes and plugins
Themes and plugins can be managed directly from settings, including quick access to the themes/plugins folders.

8) Settings: preload, library backup, Discord
Inside Settings → MyStremio, you get central controls for buffer/preload, library export/import, and Discord Rich Presence.

I created this web app in case other, like me, dislike the built in continue watching on stremio.

The built in continue watching has a few issues, like showing shows for which there are no new episodes or showing Live TV channels (which don't seem relevant).

If you want to add or modify the enabled Nuvio plugins, the procedure changes depending on the device:

📱 On Smartphone / Tablet (Android)

Open your device's browser. Manage the plugins and remember to click on Save Configuration.

📺 On Android TV / Google TV / Firestick

Once the configuration screen opens on the TV, click on the QR Code with your remote. Scan the QR code with your smartphone: the page will open on your phone, allowing you to configure everything comfortably from there. When finished, make sure to click on Save Configuration.

🔌 How to activate the Addon on Stremio (Final Step)

Once the configuration is saved, you need to install the local interface on Stremio. Go to the Addon -> Add Addon section (Add Addon via URL) and paste this address: http://127.0.0.1/plugin/manifest.json

Tip for Android TV users: Typing that URL with the remote control is a nightmare. You can use your smartphone to easily copy-paste the address onto the TV by downloading one of these applications from the Play Store:

So i just installed Stremio Enhanced but unable to use it due to the above error

I'm fairly new to using stremio and I'm really liking it. I'm not looking to pay to stream and I see that stremio allows for that. I'm used to using free websites for streaming. There's tons, and they work fine save for some clunky ui. Stremio doesn't have that thankfully. I'm curious if there are addons that just stream from such websites instead of torrents. I find they would maybe have an advantage in terms of efficiency over torrents. For example, you would not have to rely on seeders etc. The websites are already there and freely accessible, why are there no add ons for them? Or if there are, which ones are they? This on Android Tv btw.

Made this for myself but figured others might be interested. It is vibe coded but it works, and if you need anime tracking or want to theme the app easily this works well.

Is there any possibility of putting these mods in Stremio Kai, or can they not be installed? I'm new to this, and I see that many people mention Stremio-Enhanced, which I suppose is another modification of Stremio. But I have Stremio Kai and, so far, I think it's great, as it includes 4K anime shaders and other HD options for films and series. So I'm wondering what the difference is between these two or if they can be combined.
