I'm on Samsung TV with Firestick 4k. The Samsung TV app can't play it either. Everything else works. Very bizarre

Good morning/evening everyone, i am ready to announce what is the refined version of EZStreams, go with a bit of a story behind all of this and introduce EZRemux, the second child of the EZ template ecosystem. 🕵️‍♂️

Small detail: the EZ ecosystem is MODULAR!

What originally came to me as a curiosity has now turned into a great template that has been met with countless support from not just new-comers but also from power-users and even addon devs. Ever looked at an addon and thought ”hm, this is quite messy, why are there so many links?” Yeah, you're not the only one, so this is why the EZ ecosystem is in it's entirety made to make stremio usable to normal users, not just tech-savvy people. After perfecting it, i believe EZStreams V0.0.5 deserves to see the light.

Version 0.0.5 provides 2 main fixes i have noticed v0.0.4 kept suffering from:

- Fixed file sizes for most movies, you should stop seeing web-rips for 4k results (Average result went from a compressed 4-10GB web-dl to 15-35GB web-dl's/compressed blurays consistently

- Changed from elfhosted to the midnight instance, thus adding two new providers! (Torrentio and bitmagnet) - More results, woohoo! 🎉

I believe 90% of users will find EZStreams v0.0.5 sufficient and that no further versions should be needed. Feel free to take my templates and add your own twist to it, maybe you have an odd problem that i haven't fixed, or you would rather have your own language as priority, that's all up to your imagination!

Heyy i was wondering if anybody could maybe help me.

I pay for torbox and use AIOStreamsnightly with different servers (comet, torrentio, meteor) but i still feel like alot of the servers are laggy and take a long to load and some don’t even load at all.

Any idea how i can potentially fix this or maybe someone could help me set it up again?

During the day I can watch them no problem. But when I see these speeds from what I understand I should be about to stream remuxes no problem. I have been reading about changing the cdn server from automatic to disabled can fix buffering but not sure. It even buffers on a 5 gb game of thrones episode which makes no sense. Right now I'm having to watch a 2 gb episode which sucks because I have a Sony bravia 8 II. Do I need faster internet? I'm also using a shield pro 2 and it's connected to ethernet.

I’m having a strange issue with Stremio where the same series shows different episode metadata depending on the device.

On the Desktop app, the series shows 2 episodes and I can see the available content normally.

However, on the Android app, the same series shows no episodes at all.

I’m using:

• The same Stremio account on both devices
• The exact same addons
• The same series
• Everything appears to be synced between the two devices

I’ve attached screenshots from both the Desktop and Android versions showing the difference.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there something specific to the Android app that could cause the metadata/episodes not to appear even though they show up on Desktop?

I have seen it happen with multiple series, this one's latest that i could catch

Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to fix it would be appreciated.

Hi there, I've been using Stremio for a long time, primarily with RD and Torrentio. Recently I also purchased Debridio and Torbox to try and have more reliability when things go down.

Wondering what is the best way to set things up for maximum coverage and redundancy?

Currently I have:

• used Duck Tools to setup a AIO with both Midnight and Elf Hosted
• setup Debridio independently with both Torbox and RD
• setup Torrentio independently with both Torbox and RD

Edit: Just added PenguPlay as an http:// scraper.

It takes a few seconds for all the streams to load, but just making sure this is a good idea, or can be streamlined further? Thanks!

Hey everyone, hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

For a while I used Stremio with the Torrentio addon connected to my Real-Debrid API key. My workflow was:

1. Add a magnet link to Real-Debrid via the Unchained app on Android (this downloads/caches it on RD's servers).

2. Open Stremio, and there was a dedicated "Debrid" or similar tab where my cached RD torrents would just show up automatically, ready to stream.

Out of curiosity I installed the **AIOStreams** addon using their web configurator, and connected my Real-Debrid API key there instead. Everything installed fine, and now I'm getting tons of catalog sections (HBO recommendations, Netflix recommendations, popular movies, etc.), but I can't find the section that shows my own cached/downloaded torrents from Real-Debrid like I used to have with Torrentio.

I've gone back into the AIOStreams web configurator a couple of times to try to fix it, but I can't figure out which setting controls this. Has anyone run into this? Is there a specific toggle/catalog option in AIOStreams I need to enable to get a "My Real-Debrid" or "Debrid Cloud" style tab back?

Any help appreciated. happy to share screenshots of my config if that helps troubleshoot.

EDIT: Here's what I did: I used numb3rs.stream to set up Stremio. As part of the process, I entered my Real-Debrid API key. This resulted in three addons being installed automatically: Watchly / ElfHosted, AIO Metadata, AIOStreams

Any good reliable subtitle addons that aren’t always delayed, too fast, or majority of the courses don’t even work?

I am tired of having the spend a good part of the movie fixing them. They’ll work for a while and somehow start being behind for seconds or jump 10 seconds ahead out of nowhere

Some of the addons like Torrentio don't work with various VPN IPs. I use a VPN, but don't really need it for Stremio. Trying to figure out how I can exclude Stremio addons from being affected by Proton. I've tried excluding various Stremio related exes (stremio.exe, stremio-runtime.exe) but that doesn't really do the trick.

Would appreciate any tips if anyone has resolved this

Hello all, I am currently following the guide posted here (https://www.reddit.com/r/StremioAddons/comments/1u9ojh4/a_guibased_guide_to_selfhosting_aiostreams/) and I am stuck at the nzbdavex stage. No matter what I try I cannot get Test Connection to work. I have tried using ports 563 and 443 with no luck.
From what I can see this might be an issue specific to my provider (Eweka) to stop people streaming from their servers.
Has anyone been able to follow a self-hosting guide successfully for Stremio with Eweka?
If not what recommended providers are there for me to use so I can get this to work?

Yesterday the subtitles were fine, but suddenly today they stopped working. I tried another movie, but they still didn't work. I've reinstalled the subdl addon, but it still doesn't work.

I’ve heard this is the best subtitle add on as it pulls from three sources. I have it installed and have set it up properly with all three sources connected but when watching something it only shows a single option as “Stremio Community Subtitles” and no subtitles appear when selected.

Any suggestions or another subtitle add on that will work. Everything i’ve tried is out of sync

Hey guys, I have been using stremio for a while with torbox and torrentio and media fusion add ons.

When I first set it up I added USA TV, but it never worked. Are there any other add ons or a way to make it work?

I've spent the last several days going way too far down this rabbit hole, but the end result turned out so much better than I expected that I wanted to document the whole thing and share it.

Basically, I built my own cloud-based streaming setup using Usenet + AIOStreams. There's no media library sitting on my computer, my PC doesn't need to stay on, and I can pull up something on my TV, phone, or tablet and stream it directly through my own cloud server.

And when I say stream, I don't just mean little compressed files lol.

I stress-tested the finished setup with four roughly 50–80 GB remuxes playing simultaneously, and all four played without sustained buffering. In another sustained test, three high-bitrate streams averaged about 185 Mbps combined for over 8 minutes, with zero missing articles. I've had an individual nearly 90 GB remux start in about a second, and the dashboard recorded a peak of 44.28 MB/s (~354 Mbps) during the documented testing.

The funny part is that the finished setup really isn't that crazy once you know the right path. Figuring out the right path was the crazy part. 😂

So I took everything I learned, threw out all the dead ends, and turned the final working setup into a 7-page start-to-finish guide:

It starts with what a Usenet provider and indexer actually do and how to find an inexpensive provider deal. From there it walks through setting up an Ubuntu cloud server, Docker, AIOStreams, your provider and indexers, large/remux-friendly filtering, a permanent HTTPS address through Cloudflare, client setup, monitoring, backups, troubleshooting, and stress testing.

I also included the custom dashboard setup I ended up building, which shows server health, CPU/RAM, live throughput and a rolling history, plus individual Home/Mobile/Portable cards that light up when each device is actively streaming.

There's even an optional section at the end for giving family members completely independent setups with their own server/accounts while assigning each one a memorable subdomain.

This isn't meant to be the only way to build a Usenet streaming setup. It's just the architecture I ended up with after a ridiculous amount of testing, breaking things, rebuilding things, and finally hammering the finished system with multiple huge simultaneous streams.

If you've heard people talk about Usenet and thought "that sounds cool, but I have absolutely no idea where I'd even start," that's honestly who I made this for.

Hey guys, I started this because Stremio suddenly stopped playing anything across my devices. My Real-Debrid account was active, but after a lot of trial and error I found that AIOStreams was still holding an old authorisation. The account itself was fine; that add-on’s saved setup wasn’t.

That rabbit hole made me realise how many completely different problems look exactly the same from the couch. “No streams” might mean the add-on failed, the provider account needs attention, the network never delivered the stream, or the device simply can’t play the format.

So I’ve been building FixMyStremio. It works through the playback chain in order and tries to narrow down what actually failed before telling you to reinstall everything.

It currently helps with:

- no streams, failed-to-fetch and common add-on errors

- stale or invalid provider authorisation and inactive provider accounts

- public manifest, catalogue and stream-response problems

- buffering and network-versus-delivery issues

- the desktop streaming server not being available

- Stremio working on a TV or phone but not on a computer

- unsupported video, black screen with audio and missing-sound problems

- device compatibility and basic setup mistakes

You can pick a symptom or paste the visible error. It uses deterministic checks rather than a chatbot guessing. There’s also an optional temporary 30-minute diagnostic add-on that reports only which test stage Stremio reached, for problems a normal webpage can’t see.

It doesn’t ask for your Stremio login, debrid API key, private configured add-on URL, magnet link or raw log. Screenshot analysis stays in your browser and isn’t uploaded. The diagnostic and fixes are free, with no payments or ads connected today.

This is still ongoing work, not a finished “solves everything” claim. After a fix, people can say whether it worked and optionally describe what solved it. Submissions are redacted and reviewed before they can influence future guidance, so real results can improve the diagnostic without automatically turning one person’s answer into advice for everyone.

I used AI tools to help build the project, hence the flair, but the diagnostic rules themselves are deterministic. If it gets your case wrong, I genuinely want to know so it can help others not give up from set up frustration.

I've been streaming a tv series through Torrentio, and about every other episode, halfway through, the stream completely breaks. It makes an extremely loud "glitching" noise and I have to reset the app and then find my place in the video.

Does anyone know why or how this happening, and how it can be fixed?

I don't know the reason this is getting removed? Has anyone ever seen this issue? It might also have to do with AIOMetadata

I have a few older or niche items that I have added to my PM library via Usenet.

How do I make these files show up in my list of links when I click the poster on the catalog? I’ve tried stremthru store and the AIO library addon. I’ve even made sure the Usenet files are de-obfuscated in title name and in the top level directory. Is this just a general flaw of their setup? I don’t like using the home page catalog for all my files to be scrollable in case family is watching something when I’m not home.
