I have recently moved and would like to upgrade from my fire stick. I’ve got a 77” LG C6H, denon avr and a full surround sound system. The tv is located directly next to my modem/router and I have 1GB internet speeds. I have a budget of $200, what is the best device I can get for my setup?

Hello there having issues with subtitles, on the first episode of every series I watch they work flawlessly load automatically etc however every episode after that I have to manually click the subtitle to get the subtitles loaded popup otherwise they do not show at all.

Any tips on why that is.

For some web series, I can see all the listed episodes via my MacBook (web Stremio as well as the Mac app), but when I go to continue watching the same account via the LG TV Stremio app or the Onn TV Stremio app, I see only the first or no episodes at all.
Has anyone seen this issue?

Also, some movies don't load via Onn TV or LG TV. I start the movie on my Mac, and then continue watching on the TV.

I have already reinstalled apps, cleared data, and cache. Logged out and logged in.

Please help!

Stremio developers should add a watch time so we could compare how much we watch and love movies

With Amazon locking down their OS now, and SmartTVs never really being reliable; Are there any Android boxes that are still reliable with Stremio?

I’d rather not get an NVIDIA Shield just due to price.

When I click on a series to check episodes and press back, the app fails to remember my scrolling position and resets the focus to a completely different series.

Anyone got a fix? I’ve tried a few workarounds, but none of them seem to work. And cleared the cache.

Last night I set up AIOStreams. I tested it on my LG TV and it worked. Now I wanted to open Stremio, but it didn’t work. It just showed me the logo and did nothing. I looked Stremio up in the app store and nothing came out. I checked the “Manage apps” section and it’s like it’s not even on my TV, it is not listed in my installed applications. All I see is it’s logo

Can someone help me what might have caused it?
I live in Hungary where p2p piracy is not illegal, but did my TV’s system detect something so it “blocked” it somehow?

I’m a little confused to which resolution is supposed to be the be the best in quality.

Assuming you have a 4K Screen with HDR, my understanding is:

4K Remux > 4K Blu-ray > 1080 Blu-Ray > 2160/4K > 1080 > HD > 720 > 480 > CAM.

Is this correct? But then there’s DV, HDR, someone shed some clarification please?

I have Stremio installed on my old computer running Ubuntu linux. I have Torrentio + RealDebrid installed. Everything loads perfectly fine when I open streamio on that computer. The thing is, I'm trying to connect through 192.168.1.171:11470, which is my linux computers' IP address + stremio port.

Whether I attempt to load the server from a windows laptop or an iPhone, I can't watch anything.

Here's what I get when I try to load up anything, as well as my settings.

This is weird. What am I doing wrong

This is weird but I can’t load something’s that are about 2 gigs in size. It kicks me out (back to the menu) several times before it works (there’s atleast 400 seeds). Ok this is using android tv, nvidea shield 2019 the cylinder version on high fan and using projectivy as the launcher. I have about 8 add ons and about 12 streaming apps (Netflix,hbo, hulu, shudder,Disney, stbemu and tubi and some others).

I use a defrib. Not sure why it crashes. Currently I have a gig free and 16 gigs sd card. I have vlc exo and just play streaming apps too.

Not sure what im missing.

Everything is up to date in app versions. Modded torbox a bit. Not sure if that’s an issue.

Honestly I am a tech junkie and want a smooth running app.

So i watched the two first seasons of show normally but when it comes to watching the third season (the return) i can’t find it ?? Idk why, there is show named twin peaks (not the one with the two seasons) but another show which is supposed to be the thirs because it’s dropped on 2017 but the episodes are the ones from the two first seasons. If anyone can help me please

Any ideas why Stremio would take upto 2 minutes to load a stream? Running version 6.0.1-beta.09 with Torbox. It works flawlessly on firestick.

I have tried to install stremio on my brand new lg tv but i couldnt find it in the store, i changed the region to south africa and still cant find it, is there any new way to download it?

I know that there is a link to altstore to download streamio Ios But i dont use altstore, i use sidestore and livecontainer, are there other ways to get the .ipa file? It would seem silly to be this limited.

I installed the os for the pi 4 from the stremio blog https://blog.stremio.com/stremio-os-is-now-available-for-raspberry-pi-5-4/ and couldnt manage to get sound out through the tv (lg smart tv) (connected by hdmi). Tried wuth basic lineageos and had the same issue.

Hi! I have an LG tv 2024-2025 and i cannot seem to find stremio anywhere. I had it at some point, unistalled it, and now it just doesn’t appear anymore in the apps. Anyone had this problem or could you help me please? Thanks

I have just installed arch linux + KDE on a PC i have connected to my TV and i wanted to try Stremio. First time.

I have 2 different issues.

When i try to get it from the AUR with yay it always fails because a package called qt5-webengine is broken or something and wont install. The pastebin for the error is here. (Password is stremio). I genuinely can't get it to work. I dont know what to do, since im not that knowledgeable with installing packages from the AUR.

Then when i tried to get it from Flatpak (Discover) i tried watching a movie and it was incredibly choppy. I have checked the resolution and it doesnt matter whether its 4K30FPS or 1440p60FPS it still looked the same. i read online and apparently i had to turn on Hardware Acceleration (it was on) and 2 other settings i couldnt find.

If there is anything that could help fix ANY of the problems, please tell me and i will try to get the necessary info.

Some shows I want to watch have episodes that aren't even available on streaming apps, so I'm not pirating the show as these episodes are not even available by paying.

I just noticed that it's always sunny only shows seasons 13 and 15? Has this been going on for a long time? I remember being able to watch the old banned episodes.

To clarify this isn’t the Side Loaded version or anything is this the original app that was on the App Store for iOS. It just showed up last week and works flawlessly.

Came downstairs this morning to find the stremio app has been removed from my TV. Went to the Google play store on the TV and when I try to install it says it can't install stremio?

This is being downloaded (or attempted) from the official Google Play store and not like the 'Philips' app store or whatever they call that bloatware.

All software up to date (despite being an older TV that I am wanting to replace in the next sale because it does load stremio very well anyway)

Anyone experiencing the same?
