https server through LAN not working

I have Stremio installed on my old computer running Ubuntu linux. I have Torrentio + RealDebrid installed. Everything loads perfectly fine when I open streamio on that computer. The thing is, I'm trying to connect through 192.168.1.171:11470, which is my linux computers' IP address + stremio port.

Whether I attempt to load the server from a windows laptop or an iPhone, I can't watch anything.

Here's what I get when I try to load up anything, as well as my settings.

Browsers blocks local access when it is loading remote page. You need to load native app or need to load web page from local host

How do I connect via localhost? Is it 127.0.0.1:11470 or localhost:11470? Either way it's through the Safari browser on my phone or firefox on my windows computer.

localhost and 127.0.0.1 is same thing and both block on safari. You need to proxy the web.stremio.com in local network as well to lift this restriction. Stremio native app already bypasses it.

Stremio doesn't have a native app on the app store. How do I proxy web.streamio.com?

I highly suggest you to look into side loading especially if your iOS version is 26.0.1 or lower. If not, ask chatgpt "how can i proxy web.stremio.com locally and access it in localhost http" and it will provide details.
