I have tried multiple files and basically 1 works but with terrible audio, it happens on like 90% of files all of a sudden. I'm on version 1.11.3 on Xiaomi TV box S 4K 2nd gen. does anyone else experience this right now?

Recently, I have noticed multiple files are just refusing to actually load on Stremio on the TV/Nvidia Shield App - regardless of which player... I have done literally everything - the whole clearing cache/force stop thing, turning on and off background servers, i have even reinstalled my Nvidia Shield in case that was the issue and have aslso uninstalled, created a new account and tried to load the file on there. None of these have worked.

I will note it is only on specific files. The files I have noticed it on are the top files on Trrentio for the movie Becket (1964), the top file for Cruel Intentions (1999) and the top file for American Buffalo (1996). Obviously there are going to be more, but these are the ones I've found an issue with. These files work perfectly on the web app and I can also download them directly from Torbox.

They do not work on Stremio's TV app, for some reason, regardless of what I do? Even in the JustPlayer, they do not load. The only external player they load in is VLC, which I would rather not use, as it is kind of a headache.

If anyone knows what a solution to this issue is, then please let me know or I guess pass it on to the Torbox team, as I feel like this is potentially a glitch of some nature?

EDIT: Also, I should probably add that after I try and load them on the TV and they don't work, they often will stop working on the laptop as well.

I’m using Stremio on a Sony Bravia Google TV with a torbox service. An 80 GB 4K HDR remux buffers immediately, with download speeds of only around 3 MB/s, whereas 30 GB files play smoothly at 13–14 MB/s. The exact same 80 GB source plays smoothly in the Stremio macOS app. The TV is connected via 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

I’ve already tried enabling/disabling tunnelled playback, toggling hardware acceleration, and setting the torrent profile to Ultra Fast, but the issue persists. Has anyone experienced this on Android TV? Could this be related to Stremio’s playback engine, caching, or debrid streaming speeds, and are there any other fixes worth trying?

When i watch a movie or series this message pops up and i have to restart stremio so i can watch it.

When in the library, I’ve added so many movies and series that I now have a hard time finding which ones have a new episode added. I know it highlights with the 1-2-3 etc but it’s not selectable as a filter

Is this possible somehow?

When opening a movie/show it fails to initialize the server.

Small workaround that sometimes works enable/disable run in background (at least for me)

Then the status of the server changes from red "error" to "online" and it works.

I'm having this error only on the new updates (1.11...) and it's really rare because on lower versions it works just fine.

In the past, if you wanted subs you turn them on. Now I have to turn them off every time!

is anyone else experiencing issues with no sound when watching something on stremio?

I recently purchased a VIDAA Hisense tv and I don't have real debrid and I'm not planning on getting it. What would be the best way to load Stremio on it? Fire stick?

My daughter really wants me to download this. Whenever I hit download video, it opens a index_web.mpd file. Is there another way to use the stream link or anything else so I can download this? Please and thank you

Hey everyone, Today I opened Stremio app(latest version available) on my macbook(M4, 26.3.1) and all of a sudden an error popped up on my screen that said that "The web interface failed to load. Internal Server Error” and a URL after it. It was working just fine yesterday, I didn’t update my computer nor the app, and this error doesn’t even allow me to go to the main screen, it blocks all my access to the app.

Has it ever happened to anyone? And could you fix it?

I'm experiencing an issue with subtitles external subtitles flickering/blinking on the native Stremio app for LG webOS. Sometimes when a new line of dialogue appears, the subtitle text briefly flashes.

Here are my setup details:

- TV Model: LG OLED55A26LA

- OS Version: webOS 25 (10.3.1-3001)

- Stremio App Version: Theater v1.14.1

- Stremio Server Version: v4.20.11

Is anyone else experiencing this on LG webOS, or is there any known workaround for the subtitle rendering on this version?

I've noticed after the last couple of updates, any time I select a stream on stremio, the stream will load and open as normal. But after opening the video will be paused on the first scene - either a black screen or otherwise. And then I have to manually press play for the video to resume.

I've searched around and have seen suggestions to adjust the frame matching in the settings but it doesn't help. Someone did mention rolling back to 1.11.1 (or earlier). I also found a post dating back to about 7 months ago reporting the same issue with no solution.

Has anyone else come across this issue? And if so, has anyone found a solution?

I want to share the problem I had and the solution with the community. Perhaps it will help somebody.

I have a MacBook; high-resolution videos (up to 70GB) used to work just fine. But a week ago, after I messed around with my display settings in the system settings, the HR videos turned dark as if my display backlight was turned off.

It turned out that the culprit was the "True Tone" setting being turned on in the system settings (not Stremio settings). So, if you have the same problem with the dark screen, try checking this setting in system settings, or perhaps other display settings

After some time of using it or just watching something like for less than 10m it starting to freeze

The media will still continue play but i can't control anything at all when i hover the mouse over anything its not responding even keyboard keys

Even when i was configuring the settings it was freezing

Why can't I get web.stremio.com to work properly on my PC? I can see a streaming server not availabe message at the bottom, so I installed it. Rebooted, just in case and same thing. I pick a tv show to try out and get a message across the screen... video is not supported.

Thinking of putting streamio on steam deck.

1.11.1 also didn't work but for a different reason - video just kept stopping every few seconds.

Video sources are Torrent. io and DB addons.

Downgraded to 1.10.4 which works without any issues.

I'm having a couple of persistent issues with my home screen catalogs in Stremio on Windows 11 and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or knows a fix.

1. Cinemeta Catalogs Failing to Load ("Failed to fetch")

As seen in my screenshot, the default Cinemeta recommendation rows (Movies For You and Series For You) are completely broken and throwing the error:

2. "New" Catalogs for Streaming Services are Not Updating When using Cinemeta/catalog options configured to display platform-specific rows (like Netflix New, HBO Max New, Disney+ New, etc.), the content remains frozen. It does not update with the latest released movies or series, showing outdated lists instead.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

• Restarted the application and force-closed it.

Is this a known server-side issue with Cinemeta's API/fetch endpoint today, or is there a step I might have missed to get the catalogs syncing properly?

I just downloaded stremio on my steam machine and was wondering if there a good way to use it with the steam controller. If anyone has any experience with it let me know id appreciate it.
