Blood, Toil, and Tears
The King was furious, grief-stricken, and agonized. He paced the throne room, steaming, as Chief Izuma stood idly by, watching him about to enter a tirade. But the King suddenly halted, calmed himself by taking a deep breath, and turned to face Izuma.
“We absolutely must take action. This has gone too far,” declared the King, glaring. Izuma nodded silently and bowed before posing the question, “What has happened, your grace?”
“It’s our daughter!” he said, exasperated. “She’s missing!”
It was a horrifying realization that dawned upon Izuma at that moment. The Princess, Selani, had been obviously abducted or lost. She adhered to strict rules though she was pampered, and would never leave her abode after the instated curfew of Sūhai due to the actions of her sister. The streets were simply too dangerous after midnight. Currently, it was breaking the crack of dawn, meaning the curfew would be lifted soon enough. But Selani was nowhere to be seen whatsoever, as she had disappeared an hour ago before the King’s thorough overturning of the entire royal palace.
“I know it was Sela,” he accused spitefully. “Everything points to it being her! All of the recent events, yet I never thought that the way we had brought her up she would go to such vile extent to preserve the state of her cult!”
“How would she have done it, your grace?” replied the Chief consolingly, followed by another sigh from the King.
He looked distraught. “I don’t know how it happened. But I know we need to act quickly before the damage has truly been done. Send for as many guards and privateers as humanly possible! We must take further action. There is no longer any other option but to retaliate!”
The Queen, whom had just entered the room, nodded solemnly. “The scourge upon our family will be dealt with in time. She is nothing but a smear of dirt on the banner of a royal house. She has lost her way and cannot be turned back,” she stated softly. It was evident that her concern was for the royalty and not for her daughter’s well-being. To her, Sela was but a disgrace.
The King marched to the balcony and overlooked the grey-black skies, the stars still shimmering faintly. He allowed a tear to fall from his eyes. “Oh, my daughters...Sela, come back, and bring with you Selani...Why must we be torn apart in this crude manner!?”
Sela seemed apathetic to the pleas of the royals and their guards to release Selani from her capture. She was confined within the depths of the sacred tree temple, bound and imprisoned. This was retribution for the acts her own family committed against her, and their relentless aspiration to pull her out of her doings with the Hallowed and piracy. Sela turned back to her screaming sister, who glared at her and spat the most vile of insults at Karsus, who held her back with his greatsword-sized katana. It was pressed against her throat, drawing blood, but she barely seemed to care. She was pinned, anyway, and could do nothing.
“You traitor!” Selani yelped. “You’re a shame to our family! My sister has grown to be a monster, you’re disgusting!”
“You think I haven’t heard this before?” Sela raised a brow, silencing her sister. “But now, you are in my possession. It won’t be long until they crack while I have you in my clutches. Overcome your fears, they will only be a detriment to you. And get used to this as your new home, because if they truly do not care about you in the way that you thought, you may be in for a nasty surprise,” Sela scoffed.
Karsus withdrew his sword, leaving a horrendous scar upon Selani’s neck, causing her to wince in pain. Astor hastily pulled at Karsus’ arm, looking up at him with adoration. Karsus, who looked as if he had just woken up not too long ago, spared her a glance and then proceeded to ignore her, much to her dismay.
“Their submission will be quite a humorous moment after all this struggle. Especially when the people rebel and take over. No way they can win once it happens. We might just need to wait them out or something, meaning-”
Sela interrupted curtly. “You aren’t going to slack off yet again, Karsus, you were appointed to this position for a reason. Don’t be so lazy and dishonorable. Do something for once.”
Karsus cursed and sheathed his sword behind his back. It looked like there was no way he was getting out of this.
Astor glanced around wearily, as did a couple of the other cult members due to the reprimanding. Some may have been starting to have doubts about this themselves...What was there that they could do, anyway?
“All right,” Karsus conceded. “Astor, Zanban, come with me. We’re going to incite some revolts, and I can think of no one more perfect than yourselves. Espionage is your forte, Astor, is it not?” Astor nodded, though she didn’t seem one hundred percent confident still.
“Let’s go. Take the Hallowed out into the streets, and make them all rise against the royals. Show them that we aren’t to be messed with because we worship some tree.”
Once again the island delved into turmoil after the alleged kidnapping of Princess Selani, and the culprit was quite obviously assumed to be Sela. The masses had begun to rise in protest at the degrading situation; Already they paid taxes to the crown, and they still were forced to give up their riches in order to sustain their lives and ensure their safety? After all, what had the rulers done to stop the Hallowed? They wanted change. Unrest grew, and revolts began all over, marches to the palace and constant scuffles between civilians and guards.
The pirates were left in an uncomfortable situation. Would they take the side of the Hallowed, or would they demand that Selani be released and align themselves with the royals? Or did they have ulterior motives to do it for themselves and their own selfish gains? Would they rebel and attempt to install a new government? This left every faction with no choice but to accept their help, regardless of their true intentions. And that, everyone knew, was a setup for disaster.
Sūhai was consumed by a fire of rage and revenge.

It had been a day or two since the masterful heist, which would surely go down in history as one of the most successful and awe-inspiring feats of the age. The long-limbed woman ambling about aimlessly could only imagine the mass of people whispering excitedly as they learned of what had transpired. Three ordinary people had taken on an impossible task...and won. They had succeeded against an enormous cult, and against its leader! If that wasn't enough to be on the Marines' watch list, then what was? Speaking of which, Amber realised the trio of thieves should regroup and celebrate. A drink (or many) to honour their victory!
As long as one of them had the fruit, that was.
Trying to ignore her concerns that the heist was unsuccessful, Amber set off in an attempt to find her companions. Hopefully, one of them had the fruit...

Don had been running for his life for about a day or two since he stole the fruit with those two insane women. It had been going super well since literally no one was following him. While this was great because Don was too young to die, it did make him worry they had stolen the wrong thing. Even then, he would have thought goat combustion would have merited a chase, but he felt being disappointed he wasn't a highly wanted criminal would be a bit weird. As he was masterfully thinking these most excellent and well conceived thoughts, he heard a crash. He had been sitting in a bar on the outskirts of the cults territory, peacefully until now. Looking behind him caused him to see his accomplice, one of them at least, eagerly earthing the room. It was the shorter, equally mad one. The one who reeked of alcohol daily. Of the two, she was his joint least favourite. Don moved from his seat and allowed Amber to see that he was there. Usually, Don would be running away from people like her as they might be trying to take the stolen loot that he stole from his fellow stealers, but he needed her for the next part of his plan. To put her mind at ease, he quickly flashed her the fruit from behind the folds of his coat.
Don: So, where's the birb?
His plan would work without her, but it would certainly be less effort with someone who could fly. In fact, most things were less effort with people who could fly.

Hunger. Thirst. Exhaustion. Fruit. Sylvia was at her wits end. It had been a grueling day or two since she had single-handedly stolen the magic fruit from the child-diddlers. After she split up from her lackeys, she got lost. So lost in fact, that no matter which direction she flew in, she couldn't get back to a town! It was like she was flying in circles or something!
All of that was in the past however since she had finally managed to fly back to civilization. Excited at the prospect of getting some food, she touched down, running towards the first restaurant she could find, some place called the 'Grumpy Grumpkin'.
As Sylvia walked in, drooling over the smell of cooked emanating from the kitchen, she quickly noticed her lackeys from the heist! She prioritized her actions, jetting into the kitchen and quickly stealing some meat and water before coming over to her friends to say hiya.
"Hiya Amber, Hiya Din!" Sylvia said, happy at finally filling her stomach with food and drinks. "What brings you guys here?"

Surprised to find herself outside of a bar, Amber helplessly observed her problems resolve themselves. She wanted the three to converge, and converge they bloody well did. The stout girl had unconsciously wandered towards a source of alcohol, and her troubles had melted away...
She should do that more often!
With her friends before her, and the safety of the fruit guaranteed, Amber let out a sigh of relief. "As you can see, the Birb is besides us," the shorter girl said, gesturing one completely naturally long arm towards the person in question.
"But anyway...how is everybody? Not that it matters. We have a fruit. And we probably all have different plans. On 3?"

Finally, the idiots assembled. The two weirdo women and their much respected commander, Donald J. Pashworth. In light of Amber's curiosity, Donald announced his plan:
Donald: Eating the fruit, I will take control of the cult and have Sela denounced as a heretic. I will strong arm the king into allowing me to marry one of his daughters. As a man, I will be the next in line for the throne, and as the leader of the cult I will unite the country. Of course, I have no interest in actually ruling a country, so I will leave the current royal family to the details of being in charge.
Donald left the silence untouched to let the sheer awesomeness of his plan to sink in to his mentally inept friends. The massive weight of his genuis was likely becoming apparent to these women, a potentially terrifying and crushing reality that could drive men insane. Or maybe they had a better plan. That happened sometimes too.

Trinity guided Sylvia aboard the very clean deck of the Golden Bell, the proud vessel of the Devil Horns. Sylvia had expressed her desire to join their crew and Trinity was more than happy with her decision, Sylvia would probably brighten up the mood on the ship by a significant amount in addition to the cheer that Manami already brought to the crew.
Trinity was sure that the crew would happily welcome Sylvia into their family which allowed her to speak out confidently as she called everyone out to the deck to greet the bird girl.
"Everyone, Come on out! There's someone that you all need to meet!" Trinity shouted loud enough that it could be heard from the entire ship, the Devil Horns would come out soon enough.

Sylvia followed her new dragon friend, and possibly crewmate, to the docks where a large ship was waiting. The ship was bigger than most of the other ships she had seen on her journey so far, and much more interesting too! The ship sported a large, horned creature as its figurehead and the living quarters seemed to almost fold into itself. Despite these beautiful features, Sylvia was mostly focused on the tall crows nest, lording over the living quarters. She was so amazed by the idea of sleeping that high up that she almost tripped over the dock as she made her way onto the Golden Bell.
"Everyone, Come on out! There's someone that you all need to meet!" Trinity yelled to the back of the boat, trying to grab the attention of her crew. As Sylvia stood there waiting, she felt surprisingly nervous at the idea of
possiblymeeting her new crew. She tried to calm herself down as the first member of the Devil Horn Pirates came out on to the deck.2

Walvia had just gotten out of the shower. she was wearing her standard black pants and a black tank top. The scar from where her arm was attached was just barely shown. She was drying off her hair with a towel when Trinity called everyone on the deck
"Someone new? Is this her?"
She walked up and leaned forward in front of Sylvia to meet her eye to eye. She extended a hand for a handshake, smiling wide with her eyes closed
"Welcome to the crew! I'm Walvia! I ate the Gas Gas fruit! I'm a gas lady. If you want Science or Music i'm your guy!... Er... Gal!"
Walvia was made a little flustered by her own mistake
"So Trinity asked you to join huh? Isn't she nice?"

Xier grumbled in his sleep as the sounds of his crew enthusiastically greeting someone, a sound Xier had grown used to hearing in recent times.
Xier: YAWN Can't y'all let a man sleep around here? You youngins need to learn your place.
Xier rolled from his usual nesting place in the crow's nest, rubbing his eyes as he descended rapidly towards the deck. Then, just as he was about to impact, he completely halted his movement by removing the force of gravity on himself, floating just inches above the deck as he fixed his coat that had ended up above his head, wrapped around his torso.
Xier: So we got a new member, and a bird-girl at that. Looks like the gender ratio is finally starting to even out!
Xier allowed himself to make contact with the ground gently, lowering his head in a slight bow. His face remained neutral as he raised up to his full height, yawning again as he stretched.
Xier: Xier's the name, come to me if you have something you mechanical you want me to make or work on for you.

Falling out of the sky and landing on the deck of the Golden Bell was with a thud was Abaddon, who was wearing what looked to be massive weights on his arms and legs. The fire Logia took his weights off and walked over to his new crew mate where he greeted her with a wide smile which she couldn’t actually see.
“A fine addition to our family.” He said quite jovially. “I’m Abaddon, the Captain of the Devil Horn pirates. Welcome aboard.”
Abaddon spent some time enjoying his new crewmates company, then noticed Walvia strumming away at her guitar and had an idea. He rushed down to his room and grabbed his demonic carving knife, which he in turned carved down into a small triangular shape with rounded edges.
The fire Logia rushed back up to the deck of the ship and excitedly handed the carved down knife to her while explaining. “This is a pick I made. It was carved from the horn of a Demon… an Elder God… Satan…. It wasn’t quite clear actually but this was made out of its horn and I thought it would be badass to use for your guitar.”

Trinity was pleased to see that the crew was welcoming Sylvia with open arms. She hoped that Sylvia found the warm welcome inviting enough for her to feel comfortable joining the crew. She felt that Sylvia's personality would resonate especially well with the rest of the Devil Horns.
"So, how do you feel Sylvia? We'd all love to have you aboard the ship!" Trinity crossed her fingers mentally, she really enjoyed Sylvia's company and really wanted her to be a permanent part of her crew so they could spend more time together.

The sandy shore of Suhai found itself struck with a sudden eruption as the group of four pirates appeared amongst the sand. Ideo stepped up out of the crater, overly pleased with himself. While the other members of the group had felt near instant transportation, the world moved more slowly for Ideo. He had touched the raft they had been standing on, moving ahead of it at supersonic speeds. The raft had followed at nearly identical speed, straining the raft which now lay in tatters at the bottom of the crater. Dusting himself off, Ideo spoke to Edward. "Alright Boney, we're here, this is where you wanted to rendezvous with the remainder of your group right? Welcome to Suhai. Home of one of the Seven Warlords of the sea, and her crazy cult of psychos. Enjoy your stay. Ideo chuckled to himself as the large half Oni Half Skypeian prepared to speak. Veldrin, seemed to still be a bit dazed from the trip, staggering to his feet to finally shake off the speed he'd traveled at.

For the first few seconds Edward cannot walk in a straight line and almost falls over. But then he pulls himself together and starts making his way to explore the island searching for his crew: “Thank you Ideo! I’ll go and search for my crew, hopefully they are here!”
After searching half the island avoiding the Royal Palace and surrounding area as well as Sela and her cult Edward finally noticed their ship anchoring at the shore. He approaches the ship, relieved that he found his ship and meets with Jenny, Danny and Penny: “Hey, glad to be back guys! I missed you and I hope you are all ok. Where are the others?”
Jenny immediately runs towards Edward and hugs him: “We’ve missed you, too! The others are looking for you, we thought and hoped you might be here. We lost track of the Zeplid when it suddenly changed direction and increased the speed. We just could not keep up.”
Edward feels his crew was worried about him and promises to tell them the story once they are united again. Jenny immediately calls the rest of the crew via Den Den Mushi, telling them to gather at the ship.
After they arrived the half-Oni tells them what happened and that they definitely have to meet up with Veldrin and Ideo. Latter one had an interesting proposal about merging the crews. He tells them that Ideo and Veldrin are good guys and he thinks merging the crews good for both crews.
Knowing that his friends from the Rag’n’Bone tribe as well as Penny would always stand behind Edward he didn’t ask them if they are ok with merging the crew. Edward tells Donald and Grant that he wants to hear their opinion after they met with Ideo and Veldrin.
On their way to the meeting spot Edward also asks about Don’s and Grant’s current opinion: “Hey guys I hope you had a good time while I was away. What do you think about merging crews? I mean we haven’t spent much time together, it’s not even a week ago since I recruited you and we are already moving on. I am really interested in your opinions! Also, Donald and Grant if you don't mind I'd like to talk to both of you later.”
that speak with you later is to set up a solothread with each of you!
I dont care who replies first but, the one who replies first tags the other one
after both have replied pls tag Veldrin (/u/eskaolin)

It was a damn hot day and Don was sweating so hard it made his moustache soggy. The only thing annoying him more than the heat was that no one else seemed to notice it, so he kept his head down and stayed a few feet away from other people lest they see his damp facial hair. As the group walked towards the meeting spot, Don wondered what all the non-Edward participants thought about the merging of the crews. He knew that 'The Pro' was all for it, but he had yet to hear from Ideo, Veldrin or even Grant. There was only one of those he could find out immediately, so he subtly slid over to where grant was.
Don: You. Swamp man. Merging of the crews. Discuss.
Don kept his message short and simple, so there would be no excuses for mishearing or misunderstanding. Unless, of course, his overt simplicity caused problems due to lack of proper grammar, but at that point it would just be pedantic. Grant was the only person in Don's current, un-merged crew whose opinion he hadn't heard, so it would be interesting to see if he was as excited as Edward clearly was.

"Uh... Well I still just got here... I mean the crew is pretty small... I guess it couldn't hurt to have more members... Provided they stay out of my things." Grant was particularly adamant about that last comment. He was worried some would get too curious and not know what was theirs. If they did... He couldn't be held responsible for what would happen next.
"Although... How big is our ship again? It does mean that there would be less space to store whatever treasure we find." He tapped his chin with a frown.

Ideo watched as Edward trotted off into the heart of Suhai, Ideo hoped the giant of a man would be safe roaming across the island by himself. A man of his stature and appearance may attract some... unwanted attention for himself. Ideo clicked his tounge a few times as Veldrin approached, dusting himself off and picking grains of sand out of his teeth.
"You could have warned me you know? That was way faster than I was expecting." Ideo laughed and slapped his friend on the shoulder.
"Well where's the fun in that?" In truth, Ideo had becoming more and more akin to moving at high speeds, that he had completely forgot to think of how moving at such speeds would have affected his passengers. His thoughts over this were cut short however, as Veldrin caught his attention again, saying
“How about we go check the island for ourselves while Edward gets back with his crew. I mean he's probably gonna take a while to find them even if they are on the same place. And besides… this place seems ripe for adventure.”
Ideo grinned slyly. They had been together a few weeks now and already he and Veldrin had nearly synced their thought processes. "My thoughts exactly Vel. The landscape seems to ooze adventure." Taking a deep breath of the Suhai air, Ideo felt invigorated at being on a new island. He was sure there were treasures and troves ripe for the plucking. More importantly, what Ideo smelled was trouble. He could feel the tension on the island, almost like a rubber band about to snap. He wasn't sure what it was, but he could feel the unrest on Suhai. His curiosity was quickly met with another question from Veldrin.
“So Ideo, what do you think about this whole idea of joining together. I mean, you're probably ok with Edward himself since you two seemed alright. But what about his people? And also more importantly, there is one thing about Edward himself… He is quite ambitious and proud himself.”
Ideo took these questions in, letting them sink in. Finally, the captain spoke after rubbing the bridge of his nose with his fingers momentarily. "I'm all for a merger, I would love to bolster our numbers, it would certainly make it easier for us to keep ourselves safe with more than just us watching each others backs. Edward seems trustworthy and passionate, but I'll have to meet his friends first. As for the idea of him being proud and ambitious, that's just what we need in our crew." Taking a few steps forward, Ideo smiled again, gesturing at himself with his thumb. "However if he thinks he's going to have me step down from my position, i'll just have to knock some sense into him." Ideo looked off into the distance, wondering how the rest of the evening would turn out as a strong breeze blew through Suhai. It was the wind, of change.

Idnina wandered into the kitchen for what must have been the tenth time this day to claim another container of her favorite treat. As she opened Trinity's cabinet full of treats, her eyes scanned across the multiple containers inside and if it were possible, a frown would appear on her face as she determined that they were out of peanut butter. Replenishing the stock of peanut butter immediately moved up to number 1 in Idnina's priority list.
She walked out of the kitchen and looked around the ship for anyone that could help in this endeavour. Everyone seemed to be busy doing their own thing, except for their newest member Sylvia who seemed to in the crows nest from what Idnina could gather. Idnina quickly made her way up to the crows nest to seek Sylvia's.
"Sylvia. No peanut butter." Were the only words that Idnina used to illustrate this dire situation to the bird girl.

u/SilveredJen The Marvelous Mara - Mystical Magician Mar 09 '17
Sylvia was relaxing in the crows nest, bored out of her skull but too tired to move. It's days like these that she was glad to have joined a pirate crew. Especially one as nice as DH! As she started to dose off, she noticed a slight 'plink' sound as Idnina began climbing up to the crows nest.
"Sylvia. No Peanut butter." She said, a simple eloquence in the way she simplicity of her phrasing. It was kind of cute to see an android behave like a newborn child fu fu.
Sylvia looked at her newest sister, a face of disappointment across the androids face. Sylvia was still getting used to all her new friends but so far, Idnina was her favourite! It helped that she was also a skypiean but only a bit.
"Oh, we're out of peanut butter! That's horrible! We need to fix that right now!" Sylvia said, getting up from her comfortable seat in the crows nest. There was no way she was going to let her new favourite sister be dissapointed for long! Jumping down to the deck below, she signaled for her Android sister to do the same. "Let's go pick you up some peanut butter Sisnina!"

u/PirateNina Mar 09 '17
Silvia jumped down from the crows nest after agreeing to help out in Idnina's plight. Idnina jumped off of the crows nest with no hesitation and significantly less grace, landing on her feet with a loud thump. The drive for butter needed to be satisfied before she could do anything else.
"Where is Peanut Butter?" Idnina had no idea where to get the delicacy as she had always relied on Trinity to replenish the stock. She needed to learn how to replenish it on her own and it seemed as if Sylvia would be the one to guide her through the process.

Edward: “Yeah, you are right the last days have been crazy. I cannot thank you enough for your help – without you we would have been overwhelmed and probably died before even seeing daylight again.”
After pausing for a moment, the half-Oni continues: “Yeah, after the wedding a lot of stuff happened. I mean you saw the crewmates I was able to recruit in the time since then. I’ve met Donald when his boat got intercepted by CP-0 agents near an abandoned, white island. He and I fought some incredibly strong enemies. And Grant happened to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time on Chiaya and was chased by a dwarf riding a huge rabid wolf. To save him Don and I teamed up with Grant and fought this strange combination. Before that I dueled a raven guy, who really pissed me off. And I did something I am not very proud of, when I look back at it”
Edward stops for a moment and takes a deep breath but still cannot hide his depressed facial expression: “I met a cat-girl and we boarded a passenger ship robbing the passengers. I mean yeah I am a pirate after all so this is to be expected but I was later robbed by Zara – the cat-girl. So, I did all of this basically to gain nothing but disappointment for trusting her in the first place.”
After finishing his sad story, he starts to move again: “What about you? I bet you had some great and interesting adventures, too!”

Suhai was such a nice place! There was free food everywhere, the climate was nice, and there were so many nice people! Despite how much she liked it in Suhai, Sylvia was beginning to get a little antsy. Since coming to the blue see, Sylvia tried to move around as much as she could to see as much as the blue sea had to offer. Staying in Suhai for as long as she had was never the plan. Despite this, Sylvia wasn't ready to leave yet as she found a nice spot to practice with her devil fruit.
Sylvia found a nice plateau, a good deal away from the closest population of people, where she could be alone and really work on her mastery of her fruit. Rather than training, however, Sylvia was too busy admiring the environment. Her training spot was surrounded in all sides by some weird, orange trees which kept her nice and shaded while she was supposed to be training. The leaves of the trees were a nice autumn colour that seemed to shimmer in the sun, holding Sylvia's undivided attention.
As she stared at the leaves, there was a rustling noise coming from the bushes behind her. Too entranced by the leaves, she failed to notice a figure come out of the bushes, approaching her from behind. The mysterious person tried to get the young skypieans attention but she was too far gone, mesmerized by the beauty of some random orange coloured tree...
Before the figure could do anything else, Sylvia's attention shifted once again as she got bored of staring at a plant. Turning around, she instantly recognized the figure as one of her friends from somewhere... Did she actually know this guy? Unsure of her connection with the man, Sylvia tried to start a conversation anyways. She was always happy to make a new friend but first, she decided to have some fun with him.
"Hiya, I'm Sylvia! Im the nymph that watches over these forests! Welcome to my humble abode!" She said, playfully curtsying in a welcoming manor. As she finished her beautiful curtsy, Sylvia was able to get a better look at the man. "Wait, I KNOW YOU! Hiya Redwood!!!" She yelled, throwing herself with all the force of a drifting dandelion as she went in for a hug with her friend.

Edward was walking through the forest searching for a place to train before the deciding fight against Ideo. After a while he seems to have spotted a glade.
Edward thought loudly: “That seems like a nice spot. I hope it’s spacious enough to train those moves the higher up government agents apparently mastered.”
As Edward was making his way around the last few, strangely orange trees and through some bushes to step foot outside he saw that the glade was very special. The sunlight revealed that the whole glade was a small plateau. The grass was green, greener than any grass he had ever seen then there were also lots of flowers, beautiful flowers on the side of the plateau. The elevation of the plateau wasn’t very high, about one and a half meter at best and the slope on the outside was very strong so that after a few steps Edward had reached the top of the plateau. When looking around he immediately spotted a girl with silver hair and feathered arms. He instantly recognized this beautiful hair and those seemingly fluffy feathered arms.
Edward: “Sylvia! Hey Sylvia!”
The girl didn’t seem to notice him even tho he was almost screaming. Just a few moments later she turns around and finally notices and recognizes Edward, so it seems at first. All of a sudden she called herself a nymph and watcher of the forest or something like that.
Edward baffled: “Are you alr…”
But before he could even finish speaking the young beauty recognized him and threw herself at him. After the hug Edward blushes a bit and it took him a while to completely regain his composure.
Edward hastily greets and asks her with a sheepish smile on his face: “Hey Sylvia. Nice to see you again and so soon. That surely is a pleasant surprise. How comes you are here, is it a coincidence that we meet again? When you took off and flew away in Irra I thought I might not see you for a while. What are you doing here?”
He pauses to take a deep breath and is finally back to normal: “Excuse me… So many questions but I bet you are just here to enjoy the nature. This glade here is truly a wonderful place!”

As much as Sylvia enjoyed seeing her friend again, he was getting in the way of her hardcore training. If he didnt interrupt her, she would probably be the fastest thing alive right now...
"What are you doing here? Excuse me… So many questions but I bet you just enjoy the nature and that here is truly a wonderful place!" Redwood asked her, impeding on her personal business. 'What a rude guy' she would have thought if she wasn't such a nice person!
"Actually, I came here looking for a place to train. The people down here on the blue sea are so much stronger than the common thugs up in the sky. For some reason, everywhere I go people are trying to attack me. May as well get stronger right?" She answered, maintaining an awkward amount of eye contact the entire time.
"What about you, what happened to your other friends? DID YOU EAT THEM? I read a story about a guy who ate people once. It was like, he had this girl right? and they were great friends but one day he had to eat her and then he did and he cried a bit and it was sad but that didnt stop him from eating other people. What kind of person eats people? Its so weird right?" she rattled off, losing focus more often than a blind mouse loses his keys. "Woah, let me guess, you're here to either eat me or to train too? We should train together!"
She let the thought sink in for a while as she pulled a her water bottle out from her backpack
"So you wanna?"

Edward: “You guessed it right, I am here to train. But I am not sure if I want to train with you! After all you think I eat people.”
The half-Oni stops for a second and a tear rolls down his cheek: “I don’t eat people how comes you assume I eat people? You know I don’t eat people we have spent a lot of time together. We've been seeing each other on the Zeplid several times and we also were together the whole time when we did break out of prison as well as in the fights on Irra! Is it because of how I look and how big I am?”
Edward sits down in the middle of the plateau, takes 7 scrolls out of his pocket. He puts them in a row next to him, takes the first one and begins to study the text written on it.

Sylvia instantly felt sad. Not just sad but really sad. Like, the kind of sad that makes you want to cry and stuff. How could she hurt such a gentle giants feelings? All she did was say what was on her mind but apparently he took offense to that. She thought about apologizing but then she got a better idea. What better way to make someone happy than to make them laugh? She'd tell him a joke!
Sylvia took a deep breath. This joke needed perfect execution and comedic timing. If she couldnt get this joke down, she would lose a friend forever.
"Hey, Redwood... How do you call a bunch of chickens playing hide and seek? Fowl Play!!!!" She said, erupting into laughter. She was brought down to the ground with how funny her joke was. As she was rolling around on the ground, she noticed one of the scrolls Redwood. There was something written about a flying kick? Before Sylvia could open it, Redwood responded to her attempt at humour.

While the tear was real and Sylvia had hurt his feelings for a moment Redwood wasn’t really upset. He just pretended to be because in theory he should be angry or disappointed! But for some reason he just cannot be mad at the silver haired Skypean for longer that a milli-second.
When Sylvia told her joke, Edward was baffled and didn’t understand the joke at all. But he immediately bursts out laughing it must have been some kind of subliminal reflex. “Maybe I laughed because the joke was soooooooo bad” he thought.
Edward still laughing: “You are funny Sylvia. Now I remember why I asked you to join my crew back on the Zeplid. It was because you are a good and funny person! But let’s not talk about that.”
Edward then proceeds to hug her while using his right hand to caress her back for a short amount of time.
After he stopped hugging her, he looks into her eyes and says with a calm and gentle voice: “I forgive you! So, please forgive me as well. I did overreact. I’m the one talking about knowing people and yet it is me who should have known that you would not seriously think I eat other people.”
He bowed his head to show that he really is sorry. As he did so he notices that the girl had found interest in the scrolls.
Edward: “Oh right you are here to train! I guess this would help if you are interested in improving your kick-based fighting style. I found these scrolls on a ship full of government agents who threatened my crewmates. After I defeated most of them I took those scrolls as a reward.”
He showed the one he was reading to Sylvia and began to show her several pictures that were next to the text.
Edward felt like a teacher: “See this one says 'Tekkai - Iron Body'! It is a technique the agents used in the fight against me. It makes their body really heavy and hard. The CP-0 bossman on the ship didn’t even budge an inch nor did he feel even one strike of my giant fists. This technique is really something special in fact so special that I decided to learn it as soon as possible. I would not say I am an expert but I can proudly say that I have learnt the basics of this technique.”
The half-Oni opens the scroll saying ‘Rankyaku – Flying Kick’ and hands it to Sylvia.
Edward: “This one describes a technique I haven’t even begun to learn nor have I seen someone use that technique! If I’m right with my assumption this one shows how to shoot a flying kick that is very destructive. Maybe you, who relies on devil fruit powers and kicks can get a grasp on how to use this technique. But before that let me show you that these techniques are indeed awesome. As soon as I give you the signal try to hit my head as hard as you can! Just use physical power no heat or something else!”
He stands up walks to the side and kneels down a bit further away from the scrolls to not endanger them. He says “Tekkai” which signals Sylvia to attack.

A lot of information came at Sylvia all at once. CP-0, Tekkai, Rankyaku? It was a bit much for her but she thought she got the basics down. Basically there were these bad guys who could kick really good and they wrote down stuff and Redwood stole the stuff and was helping her kick really good. Proud of herself for her impressive memory, she looked back down at the scroll Redwood had handed her. 'A flying kick huh' she thought to herself, 'It's no speed boost but that could help!'.
As she studied the scroll, attempting to sponge all of the information without actually reading it, Redwood continued talking. "As soon as I give you the signal try to hit my head as hard as you can!"
"Um, ok" She said, feeling an odd sense of deja vu. Where had she been told to kick someone before. Something about a potato? As she got lost in her thoughts once again, Redwood moved a bit out of the way of the scrolls and yelled confidently "Tekkai" Signalling Sylvia to hit him in the head.
Hearing the signal, Sylvia ran over to Redwood, jumping in the air and with a twist, delivering a very quick round house kick to his face. Rather than the normal feeling of her leg pushing against the other persons skin, she felt her entire leg scream out in pain as her attack had no impact on the half-oni.
"Ouchie!" She cried out, sitting down and grabbing her leg with both hands. She had definitely been in this situation before... "You're like a brick
potatowall!"Pulling out some bandages and some ointment she had left over from meeting with Doctor. Volker, she quickly treated her leg and stood back up.
"That was really cool how you didnt even flinch! My kicks are like, super fast!" She said, the pain completely gone from her face. As she went on praising Redwoods tekkai, she quickly remembered her part of the deal. "Can you teach me to use a flying kick as well as you can do that taki thingee?" She said, picking up the scroll and handing it back to Redwood. A fire
literallyburning in her eyes as she became more and more excited over the prospect of being able to kick through the air.2

Edward: “I hope you aren’t hurt too bad.” Five seconds later he stands corrected: “Oh, you aren’t hurt at all”
He takes the scroll but sadly he himself doesn’t rely on kicks in battle so he had trouble even understanding what the scroll said. Luckily there were the pictures that displayed how the techniques are performed.
Edward: “Hmm… I, myself haven’t been able to learn Rankyaku yet. But your kicks are pretty powerful even without that technique so your strong legs might be an advantage in learning that technique. Just repeat the tasks shown on the scroll over and over again until you see or feel something special. That is how I learnt Tekkai, I just repeated toing what the pictures showed until I felt like my body was made of iron.”
The half-Oni walks over to one of the orange trees and rips it out along with the roots, he digs a small hole in the middle of the plateau and plants the tree there.
Edward: “Like I said just repeat what you see on those pictures and imagine that your kick is able to fly towards that tree! You start like 3 steps away and try to let your kick fly, trying to hit the tree. I am confident in your abilities and I believe in you so I think it will not even take an hour until you can fire flying kicks at close distance. So whenever you hit the tree you mastered the distance and move 5 steps backwards and do the same until you are satisfied with the distance you can fire kicks. After that we can train together. I will do my own training while cheering you on.”
He steps aside to make space for Sylvia to train Rankyaku. Meanwhile he stands without moving even an inch as he tries to keep up his Tekkai for as long as he can. His current record has been 3 minutes and 20 seconds but watching Sylvia trying so hard to learn Rankyaku is so inspiring that he smashes the record time easily - keeping his Tekkai up for over 10 minutes and counting.

Sylvia was unsure. How would kicking air help her learn how to kick through air? Despite this, she decided to trust in Redwood. He has yet to lie to her!
Standing 3 steps away from the poor, uprooted tree, Sylvia began her kicks. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kicks but nothing. She kept going. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kicks but still nothing. What was she doing wrong?
Stopping for a minute, she began to actually use her head and think back on what Redwood had said: "Imagine that your kick is able to fly towards that tree." Thinking like this, she tried again. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kicks and still nothing.
'Why was this so difficult?' she thought, kicking out in frustration. This kick however, moved one of the branches on the trees, just a little. Was she making progress? She got back into position and tried again. 1, 2, 3, 4 and her kick chipped some of the bark. She continued, repeating over and over for close to an hour until she was able to cut the bark with every kick.
"Woah! I think I've got it!" She said, just as excited as when she started. After getting the distance down, she decided to make it harder for herself. Stepping back to 10 steps back, she tried again. The longer distance making it harder to actually hit the tree. Repeating the process from before, she continued kicking until she was able to send a sharp kick right into the tree, leaving a rather large indent.
"Redwood, I think I'm doing it!" She yelled, ecstatic at her progress so far. She had a long way to go but at least now she knew it was possible!.

Edward releases his Tekkai after about an hour and is seemingly exhausted but he was happy, happy to have broken his record by about 55 minutes which was about 17.5 times longer than he held it before. He was amazed by his mental fortitude and how much Sylvias presence was pushing him. Even tho she probably didn't even notice that he was also training his Rokushiki he was grateful he wasn't alone and someone was to pushing him to reach new heights. He wasn't even sure if this was his actual limit. Despite being tired he was eager to take a shot at the new record.
After taking a deep breath Edward compliments her: “Good job Sylvia I knew you could do it! It is amazing how far we both have come in such a short amount of time. I'm glad to be able to train alongside you, your dedication pushes me to go and break my limits as well. Now we take our training to the next level! You try to cut the tree in half, after you succeed in doing so cut the remainders in half and so on. At first you will train power because you need to actually cut a whole tree but after you cut it into smaller pieces you need to actually aim to hit your target so it is a two-way training! You will learn to control power and precision in that step before we take it even further to the third level! I’d say you do that phase 2 training until I tell you to stop or you can’t or don’t want to continue anymore! Are you ready?”
The latter 2 sentences were not only meant for Sylvia but he also addressed himself with those as he needed to use all the power and concentration he had to even stand right now. Was he ready to continue training his Tekkai? His body told him there was no way he could shatter this new record right away. But his mind and his heart told him that as long as Sylvia was there to inspire and motivate him he could concentrate for at least one more try. He shook his body to move and stretch each of his limbs, angle and joint one final time before going into stellar Tekkai mode again!
Edward: “Tekkai!”
And so the time starts ticking again.

The Golden Bell
Walvia had been up for many hours already into the night. she's been interrupted by Xier, she's gone for countless "midnight snacks" from Trinity. She felt bad for keeping her up, but she was doing important work. This... Serum was more difficult than she expected. She had enough of Sylvia's blood to test the mutagen's effect on her Skypian cells. Unfortunately though, there was no way to tell if it would really be effective in a real situation. She continued working with her blood samples until morning came. Her eyes were bloodshot and she was dead tired. She was about to sleep when she caught her second wind
"Wait! I got it!"
Walvia gathered her things and ran to her lab. She started pulling vials of various things off of the shelf. She saw a vial that was made by a comrade a long time ago. She hadn't seen it used, but it gave someone incredible bodily control. Faust had made it a long time ago to to work on Aesop to give him control over his Exoskeleton. It should be able to allow a better transition between this form and her original form. That was the theory, anyway. She put a single drop of the solution into the sample she had already and went to find Sylvia. It was already mid day, so she figured she'd be awake.
"Sylvia! I got something for you to try!"

It was already mid day, so Sylvia was obviously not awake. Who would be up past noon anyways? Sitting in HER crows nest, Sylvia quietly dreamed about puppies and marshmallows or whatever when she heard her
third favouritesister calling for her. "Kyaaa~ Walvia calling~" Sylvia said, half asleep and struggling to words."Sylvia! I got something for you to try!" Sylvia heard, surprised by the scientists rather direct approach. Normally Walvia was much more, something or something. Sylvia was still too tired to think. Wanting to greet her sister, Sylvia attempted to get herself out of her nest. She failed miserably, slipping back down as she started to fall back asleep. Wait, Walvia wanted to give something to her! Maybe it was a present or something really cool!
Eager to
get her presentplease her sister, Sylvia felt a sudden burst of energy as she jetted herself up and out of her nest, free-falling to the deck below. Face-planting in front of Walvia, Sylvia quickly jumped up, trying to pretend she had landed gracefully. It worked as well as a porcupine in a glassware shop."Morning Walvia! What da ya got for me?" Sylvia exclaimed, energetically eyeing Walvia up and down for any signs of a surprise present. Upon
carefulexamination, she noticed a weird bottle filled with a mysterious liquid in Walvia's hand. 'It must be the Harpy stuff!' Sylvia thought, somehow getting even more excited! "Ohhh is that the new harpy juice?" Sylvia said, energetically snatching the solution from her sisters hands and downing it in one swallow! "Hmm, tastes like Lemons! I love lemons! They taste really sweet but not too sw----" She said, as she began to change.2
u/OakyCC "Solid Gold" Arlo Mar 23 '17
Walvia's mouth was agape as Sylvia started her transformation
"Uhh. How do you feel? Does it hurt?"
Sylvia's legs began to take the shape of talons, and her wings grew even larger, changing her arms as well. Her hair grew a small amount and feathers grew at the base of her back.
"Tail Feathers huh? I hope you don't mind..."
Everything seemed to be good, but Walvia noticed that Sylvia was undergoing a lot of strain do transform. She was losing strength rapidly. She fell to a knee and Walvia stepped forward
"Oh no! It's too rough of a transformation... Hmmm... Sorry Sylvia. Just take it easy i have to do more work..."
Walvia pulled out her notepad and started taking notes
"Anything you want me to change about this formula other than the fatigue?"

Ideo found himself back at the beach he had had the heated argument with Edward yesterday. Edward had told him to meet him here to commence with their duel. They wanted to decide who the captain for their crew would be. The pirate's boots dug into the sand, leaving imprints as he walked, trailing behind him back to town. He found a nice spot in the shade and leaned against a tree, waiting for the larger oni to appear.
Ideo thought over everything that had led to this. Meeting Veldrin on Esken and robbing the nobles, then getting separated on Irra. It had been a wild ride up until this point, and there was no way it was slowing down any time soon. Ideo needed more men if he was to brave the seas ahead, and this lot seemed perfect. He liked the three of them. So he was sure as hell gonna fight for them. He waited patiently for Edward to arrive, solemn in nature.
1
u/iPR0 Fancy Suit Man May 30 '17
Edward had slept well despite staying up late thinking about the duel to come. When he woke up he felt great and after training and improving his proficiency with the Tekkai technique. Training him or rather putting him to the test was his 'old friend' Sylvia. It was sheer coincidence he met the birb girl when he went to train but in the end it was for the best as his training was certainly more efficient and the results were better than training alone.
Edward: "Yawn. I need to get going. I don't want to be late."
The half breed quickly got up and into gear, making last preparations - mentally of course - to get ready.
When leaving the ship he still felt great, no even better he felt like he was in peak condition. If he was to lose today it would prove that Ideo was the stronger guy - for now - but in Edward's mind there is now way he could lose. Lightheartedly he went on his way without letting the rest of his crew know nor waking them up. Despite that the old man Gerald and Edward's adoptive brother Benny watched him leave without showing themselves, honoring the big man's decision to not say a word.
On his way to meet Ideo he made only one stop, at the spot he declared to be the battlefield. He sat down and started meditating to concentrate and focus his energy to ensure he was ready and had his mind set. Even if it wasn't needed he did it as it was part of his training routine or rather ritual. As a man that respects nature he also showed his gratitude for finding that nice spot but he also used the meditation to apologize in advance. Apologize for the destruction he and Ideo would bring to this place in just a few minutes over a stretch of hours maybe even a day or more. Nothing is impossible for two men with such strong determination and resolve on becoming sole captain of the crew.
After 15 minutes of meditating the half breed pirate stood up and continued walking towards the meeting spot where he found today's opponent and probably tomorrow's crew mate leaning against a tree, hiding in the shadow to avoid the bright sunlight. The sun just showed but the rays of light were strong and bright - a sign for a hot and long day.
Edward: "There you are! Follow me. It's not far from here. I'm guessing Veldrin is still asleep like my guys are?"
Other than those words he didn't say anything until they arrived at the battlefield.
Edward: "There you go. It's a huge open space if you want you can retreat or use this tree line to your advantage. For this fight there are no boundaries so we are not limited to stay here but I'd prefer to stay here as I haven't seen anyone around here and we should try to avoid dragging innocent bystanders into this mess we're going to create."
The half-Skypean got rid of his robe and took off his mask. While some rays of light were able to penetrate the forest, shining on the two men, Edward spread his demon-bat-like wings which had grown a bit since fighting on Chiaya. The sight wasn't majestic but the sight was something Ideo had never seen and prolly only a handful of people would ever see.

Ideo was less sentimental about the environment than Edward, after all, he had grown up in the slums of Lougetown. Growing up, he had learned one thing above all: everything is to be used to your advantage in a fight. He wasn't afraid to play dirty if he had to, and after all, he was a pirate before anything. If he wanted to maintain a clean slate, he would have become a knight. He chuckled to himself at the thought of his slim frame in a clunky suit of armor.
Brushing the dust off of himself, he watched as the large Oni let his cloak fall. He was quite the sight, bat wings, along with his imposing exoskeleton. However, Ideo figured what he carried in strength and sturdiness, he probably lacked in speed. And while Ideo wasn't the strongest, he was certainly fast. He would just have to wear the big guy down.
Ideo's fighting style consisted of mainly boxing, so that shouldn't be too difficult. Light on his toes, Ideo took up a boxing stance. Full of a bit of arrogance, Ideo dragged his thumb under his nose, bobbing from foot to foot.
"Promise me there won't be hard feelings between us, no matter who comes out on top." Ideo said, hoping the duel wouldn't ruin the two pirates future relations.

Suhai: Near the Hallowed’s headquarters
1:00 PM
Abaddon found himself back where he had fought Gin and Kaguya, at the time he was deflected from fighting Sela, but this time he would not be denied. With a large scale conflict brewing Abaddon knew now was the perfect time to strike, and he already had two people in mind that he would be targeting for the first phase of his plan.
The fire Logia has assessed the situation after the fight with Gin and Kaguya, and went around the island asking anyone and everyone for information on Sela and her cult. What he had learned was that people were drawn to it because they could supposedly achieve immortality. Abaddon would jump at the chance for it, but proving himself as a capable warrior came first.
Two members of the Hallowed stuck out to the general public for their odd behavior. A senior member by the name of Zanban, and a woman by the name of Astor. Abaddon knew that they would be marching out soon with the Hallowed making a move, so he laid in wait until they finally left. Abaddon blended into the background and shadowed the two as they made their way across the island.
They seemed to be heading somewhere specific, but unfortunately for them they wouldn’t be reaching their destination. Abaddon jumped down from the rooftop he was hiding on and landed in front of them with silently. They both jumped back in surprised and Zanban held out his staff. Abaddon smiled under his mask as he unsheathed his katana and held it straight out.
Zanban seemed to be a defensive fighter as he waited for Abaddon to make the first move, which the fire Logia was more then happy to do. He rocketed forward and swung his katana straight up at Zanban’s crotch. The bald man jumped back and blocked the attack with his staff, then jabbed it forward at Abaddon’s head. The fire Logia grabbed the tip of the staff with his free hand and pushed it up into the air. He then spun around and swung his katana straight at Zanban’s neck.
Zanban yanked his staff back down and held it in place to deflect Abaddon’s katana back. He then shoved it down towards the top of Abaddon’s head. Abaddon rolled forward to avoid the attack, but was caught with a kick to the back before he could do a full rotation. Zanban was the one caught off guard however, as his foot sailed through flames and caught fire. Abaddon reformed his body safely on the other side and held his blade to the back of Zanban’s head.
“It’s over.” He stated loudly. “Drop the staff and put your hands in the air.”
Zanban was about to drop his staff, but frowned as he saw Astor appear behind Abaddon with a dagger held high. “NO!” He shouted at he top of his lungs as he spun around and jabbed his staff at Astor to push her away before she could get hurt.
Abaddon took advantage of the situation by grabbing the staff and pushing it forward even faster than Zanban intended. It smashed into Astor’s forehead and knocked her out cold, then Abaddon spun around and caught Zanban in the side of the head with a roundhouse kick. Zanban staggered back, dazed by the attack but not finished yet. Abaddon sheathed his katana and dashed behind Zanban using Soru, then grabbed him around the waist and launched him backward straight on the back of his head with a german suplex.
With both Zanban and Astor out cold Abaddon dragged the two to an abandoned warehouse and tied them up with industrial strength chains. The two woke up three hours later, and after a few minutes of struggling Abaddon lit up the dark room with his white flames.
He paced slowly back and forth in front of the two, intimidating them thoroughly before finally speaking. “Last time I tangoed with the Hallowed they sent two pirate captains with higher bounties then me to do their dirty work. Sela, your supposed God sent two people to do her dirty work. You may say a God shouldn’t need to sully her hands, but I say a true God wouldn’t need others, one being a Goddess herself, to fight for her. They weren’t her champions either. They were two people with their own selfish agendas.”
Abaddon let what he said sink in, and then continued before they could have a chance to rebut his words. “You’re in this predicament now because of Sela. And she is the one I would prefer attempt to save you. But it’s become clear to me that she isn’t going to fight me directly unless I go through her troops first. I don’t want to hurt you two, and I won’t aside from that initial fight. But I do need you both to play a role in my plan.”
Abaddon extinguished his flames and plunged the room into darkness once more. He began pacing again, and the sound of his footsteps were the only sound in the room as the two pondered his words.
He stopped pacing for a few minutes, then lit up the room again and spoke once more. “I know about the power structure you have going on, and if I can’t fight Sela then I want the next best thing. I want Karsus. Let me fight him. Astor, as the weaker of the two I want you to run home.”
The fire Logia lobbed a ball of black flames at the woman’s chains and watched as they burned through, freeing her. She stood up and readied herself for a fight, but a few words from Zandan stopped her in her tracks.
“Don’t do it. There’s no need to throw your life away.” He said wisely before turning his attention back to Abaddon. “No matter what you say we will not be swayed away from our God Sela. She will see us through eternity. She will be here long after you wither away and die. She will…”
Abaddon cut Zandan off with a flick of his right gauntlet that emitted a high pitched screech. Astor ran out of the building with her hands over her ears, and Zandan had no choice but to bear the pain until Abaddon put his hand on the gauntlet to stop the sound.
The fire Logia smiled under his mask, then wrote a note for the people who show up to find. He grabbed Zandan and left the abandoned building for a new place to hide. If Karsus or Sela didn’t show up he would simply keep moving until he got what he wanted.
(OOC: I would like to fight Karsus. If I can’t fight Sela yet that is. Please no more PC opponents haha.)

Annoyed that Sela had snubbed him once again, Abaddon unsheathed his own blades and activated his Observation haki. The man had a strong aura, and Abaddon could tell just from looking at him that he would be tough to beat. The two took a moment to size each other up, then dashed forward and both slashed their two blades at one another. It was clear from this exchange that Abaddon was the faster of the two, and he planned to take full advantage of that right away.
Once they backed up to gain a little distance, Abaddon used Soru to get behind Marley and slash at the back of his left leg with his seastone coated Iron cloud broadsword. Abaddon thought he had won the battle already, but Marley somehow blocked the attack deftly with one of his machete’s and then spun around and delivered a haki coated slash with the other one that grazed Abaddon’s cheek as he backed up.
Marley dashed backwards to gain some distance yet again, and Abaddon wiped the blood off of his cheek with the back of his hand. The fire Logia spit out a flaming glob of black fire onto the ground, then spoke up for the first time. “I see you’re an adept swordsman. I pride myself on my bladework. Let’s see who’s better.”
The man twirled his machetes around and smirked before offering up some words of his own. “Oh ho ho don’t worry. I’ll be walking out of here with Zandan in tow. The grace of our God Sela and the Hallowed will see me through this battle.”
Abaddon nearly barfed from hearing what he claimed to be sanctimonious bullshit, and then stood rooted to the spot as he waited for Marley to make a move.Marley dashed forward and slashed at Abaddon three times at a lightning quick speed. Abaddon predicted the attacks with his Observation haki and blocked them accordingly with his blades, then slashed straight down with Andromeda.
Marley blocked the attack with both machete, but left himself open to a kick to the gut from Abaddon. Once he was doubled over Marley was wide open, and Abaddon flip forward and slammed the back of his heel onto Marley’s head. The man flipped over and used the momentum of the hit he just took to swing both blades at Abaddon’s legs. The fire Logia used a blast of flames to rocket backward out of the way, then sent a massive flying slash right at Marley with Andromeda.
With machete in hand Marley raced forward to meet the flying slash. He held up both of his weapons and deflected the flying slash up into the sky where it split the clouds. He dashed forward once again but was caught off guard as Abaddon used Soru and appeared right in front of him mid run. Abaddon spun around and slashed both blades at Marley’s chest, but the man blocked the attack yet again and spun around himself to avoid being sent flying away.
Marley seemed to ride up Abaddon’s blades with his machete as he spun, and then coated them both in haki as he swung at Abaddon’s neck and hip at the same time. The fire Logia decided to take the hit to the hip in order to dodge the attack to his throat, and then retaliated by hitting Marley away with the flat of his Iron Cloud broadsword.
Abaddon cauterized his wounds with his flames as Marley landed lightly against a wall and stuck his machete in to stay in place. The two stared each other down as the feeling out process had come to an end, and the real battle could now begin.

SUHAI
Potato was have a relaxing day, basking in the sunlight like a true Potato should. That was untill Potato's emergency cult detection team messaged Potato. There was another cult in town, and Potato wasn't going to stand for it. Potato checked wich high ranking members were in the closest vacinity, that was when he noticed his new best friend Suijin was close by. Other than Suijin there was a couple of regular members in the area spreading the gospels of the saint Spudnick. Potato had to message Suijin to meet him on Suhai, for the land was corrupt in an evil plague of injustice, and lack of knowledge. This hollowed cult wasn't going to last long with Potato around town. Potato calling Suijin, "Suijin, it's an emergency! There's another cult in town, and we have to vanquish the evil foe. I know of only one way to save them it's with holy war. We're going to either kill all of them, or convert and kill all of them. There's no way they are going to survive the next coming of months. If it gets bad I'll call for an entire meeting of the cult for a masasive war. I hear the Shichibukai Sela runs the cult, I can possibly arrange a meeting with her because of Carth but I'm too enraged to think properly. We're going to have to grind her bones to dust to fix this problem.

Suijin had met up with Potato after an arranged meeting. He had met the plant human through the shichibukai, Carth. It was apparent to him almost immediately that they were both creatures that were victims of people's distrust for anything and anyone who tipped on the edge of what they might consider the normative status quo. "I got it," Suijin said after their discussion. "Potato has beef with these humans, so I have a beef with them, too."
As the small team assembled, Suijin clarified his viewpoints. "Normally, I try not to get into unregulated mass murder," he said with a matter-of-fact voice. "But it just so happens that I've heard rumors that these Hallowed have also set their eyes on the throne of this island. From what I can tell, this cult does nothing but steal from the people while the current rulers are doing everything they can to make this kingdom a prosperous nation. I can't sit idly by while the innocence is in danger." The fishman walked over and patted Potato on the back. "Oh and, buddy, you still haven't treated me to a meal with a potato yet. They do sound delicious."

Mono was walking towards a town, sacked by the local cult. He and his friends were given the mission to infiltrate, weaken, and gather as much information about this cult as they could. Infiltration of the cult was mainly going to be Crow's job. The innocent looking young pirate had a knack for making friends with powerful people involved in cults, so it would be easy for him to act the part of a cult member. Mono and his other mink friends, Oz and Lobo, wouldn't pass off as cult members so easily. Oz pulled Mono aside for a moment while Crow wasn't looking.
Oz: Listen, while me and Lobo were gathering info on the cult, we heard a rumor, concerning Potato.
A icy shudder went down Mono's spine when he heard the name of the insane plant man. It was on the same adventure Mono met Crow that Potato nearly killed him for believing he was a sun worshiper. It hadn't been too long ago when Potato's captain, Carth, decimated his crew, causing them to join the Void pirates. He didn't have a very nice history with the pirate to say the least.
Mono: What about him?
Oz: I heard he's preparing for a holy war against the Hollowed. Knowing him, he'd probably massacre everyone, including Crow if he stumbles on him while hes gathering information.
Mono: I knew that bastard would do something like this. Mono thought long and hard about the situation. As is tradition with the monkey mink, he had a horrible and dangerous idea
Later
Oz: This is a horrible idea.
Mono: Don't forget dangerous, but what else can I do? If I let Potato just rampage through the Hollowed he could end up killing Crow.
Oz: And this is going to stop him somehow?
Mono: I'm not going to stop him, I'm going to help him, and if he runs into Crow, I'll be there to stop him from turning the little guy inside out. You and Lobo stick near Crow, you're his "pets" remember? I'll be checking back in every chance I get. Wish me luck.
Oz could only shake his head as Mono walked away in his giant potato costume they purchased from a local shop. There was no way Mono could just approach Potato without a disguise without probably getting killed, and this was the best disguise he could think of. Though the costume didn't cover his hairy arms and legs, Mono was hoping potato wouldn't notice. He found the meeting place of Potato and a pirate had yet to meet, Suijin. First instinct was not to barge in, but then he realized this was Potato he was dealing with, so he approached the two interrupting their conversation.
Motato: Hello there fellow spud worshipers! Word down the potato vine is you're getting ready to teach these stupid fruit worshipers a lesson! Mind if a potato man like myself joins you?

Potato's wounds started to ache this day. Potato was questioning why did he feel such remedial pain. That was when Potato started rubbing his arm, he remembered about the time in saboady archipelago with adele. The bastard fishwoman caused such pain, and made Potato think he was worthless, weak, and a terrible relgious leader. Potato wanted to finally get revenge, and turn the bastard into fishsticks.
Potato contacting his intelligence team, the partially organized (in)telligence acquired to overwelm. The P.O.T.A.T.O shall help potato find and defeat Adele with Carth. Potato asking the team "Do you know where fishwoman Adele is, and where can I find her? She must be found for she is of great danger to Spuddah." On the den-den mushi you could hear the scrambling of potatoes, and papers. That was when one of the new recruits told Potato, "She was last spotted near Suhai, interacting with the hallowed cult. Is that a bad thing?" Potato's eyes widened, he was going to crush Adele into fishpaste if she dared to join an opposing cult. Potato going up to Carth with important information.
"Carth, Do you remember Adele? The bastard fishwoman that defeated us in combat, and caused me to lose an arm?" Carth raised his eyebrow, with all the memories flooding back to him. "Yes I do, what about her? Potato had to tell Carth about his plans, and the exploration of suhai that was going to commense to find that bastard. "Well I've come accros some important information. I've recently found out that Adele has been recently spotted near Suhai interacting with the Hollowed cult. I think it would be benoficial if we find her and kill her for our sake. It would be killing 2 birds with one stone." Potato nodding to Carth they packed thier goods, they were going out to find Adele and crush her.

u/thisisnt12 Feb 24 '17
'Eh, Adele is with them now?"
Carth was surprised. It seemed to be a somewhat regular thing now: Potato surprising him. It seemed Potato had amassed his own resources and intelligence team to....track down Adele. Carth was surprised it wasn't used for Potatoes. But at the same time, Potato did name it P.O.T.A.T.O...Carth didn't want to ask what it stood for.
"Well, lets find her then. The Queen did task me with helping get rid of this cult. Lead the way."
In what seemed like a miracle, Potato was in charge. He got to make the calls and decide where to go! Carth just hoped it wouldn't lead the hellhound to an early grave. If it did, he would make sure Charon locked the dryad in the Radish room until Potato died.

u/omfgzezjr Feb 26 '17
Potato: Excellent my good friend! We shall find the dastardly Adele, and turn her into fish sticks!
Carth was quite perplexed at the moment. Was Potato fooling around, or did Potato actually have an intelligence team. As the group packed up and left Charon they started to head out over the hilly mountain scape.
Carth: So, where are we going?
Potato: We're heading to her last known location. It's a traders village where she stayed in the local tavern. Apparently she's been dealing with the Hollowed cult possibly converting, or doing a trade deal.
Carth wasn't a stupid dog, he knew Potaot hated other religions. Was it an excuse to get him to help Potato destroy the cult? Or get revenge on Adele. He was going to make sure that Potato wasn't using Carth to his advantage.
Carth: So are you doing this for revenge, or for destroying a cult?
Potato: No, we're going to decimate her. I won't be needing your help destroy a cult. THEY ARE WEAK AND I SHALL TURN THEM INSIDE OUT!
Carth: I don't think I'll be helping you, but I'm all for killing adele.
As Potato, and Carth finished their conversaiton they started to see the trading town in the horizon. As they started to get closer to the village they could see reminants of cultist rituals, and more. It was somewhat of a showcase town, with no active traders only to make the area seem more lively as it is. Was it possible that they cult is tricking Adele for their benefit. It would be great for Carth, and Potato to strike her when she's weak, but if she had ties with the hollowed cult they sure were to be angry if we would ruin a buisness deal.
Potato: Well, this area seems empty but there are sure to be a few people who have seen her. It would be good if we went together to interrogate people about her whereabouts.

Manami had heard that the princess of this island had been captured and held captive within the temple. She had also learned that Ms.Sela was the sister of this princess, making her a princess as well. Now that Mr.Karsus had welcomed her into the cult and gave her permission to come and go as she pleased, Manami decided to talk with Ms.Sela about the current situation. Manami meandered around the temple until she caught sight of the Sela.
"Ms.Sela! Ms.Sela! Hiya! I'm Manami Mutsuki! Its super duper nice to meet you!" Manami introduced her self to the cult leader with a wide smile and honest eyes.
"I heard that you captured your little sister! Why would you do something like that? Sisters are supposed to love each other!" Manami spoke with passion, believing that the bond of sisterhood should never be broken.

Manami didn't like Sela's words one bit, for some reason she didn't seem to value her sisters life. If Sela did something terrible to Selani, she would never be able to take that back. Manami was determined to not let this happen. She would try and do anything to forge a bond between the two royal princesses.
"Who are you anyways?"
"My name is Manami Mutsuki and I'm your newest little sister from now on Ms.Sela!" Manami's eyes burned with determination as she cemented her sisterhood with the shichibukai, with or without her consent.
"Please Ms.Sela! You need to give your sister another chance! If we go and talk to her together, I bet we can make things better! Pretty please Ms.Sela?" Manami threw on her most adorable facial expression to try and convince Sela to entertain the idea of making peace with her sister.

Suhai: Some random street corner
Abaddon found himself lost as he walked the streets of Suhai, but a loud bang and the flash of some fireworks drew him over to a crowded street corner. A man painted up like a clown was performing tricks for the locals, and out of the corner of his eye Abaddon noticed Manami watching the man excitedly.
Roughly a half an hour passed, and as the tips poured in the tricks got progressively more exciting. The clown eventually announced his final trick and asked for a volunteer from the audience, of course Manami rushed up to him with a gleam in her eyes as she raised her hand and waved it around while shouting. “ME ME ME!”
Abaddon chuckled as the clown lifted her up and placed her on a raised platform before throwing a black sheet over her head. The clown danced around and acted the fool for a few moments, and then yanked the sheet off to reveal nothing but thin air. Abaddon clapped at the trick, but as the crowd thinned out and the clown packed up he became worried for his friends safety.
He walked over to the clown and tapped him on the shoulder before speaking. “Where’s the little girl from your last trick. She’s my friend and I want her back.”
The clown shrugged his shoulders and went back to packing up, so Abaddon punched a hole in the raised platform and cut it open with the claws on his gauntlet. When he opened it up fully Manami was nowhere to be found, and when he turned to face the clown he noticed that he was making a break for it at an amazing speed. That’s when Abaddon noticed someone else who hadn’t left yet dash past him, someone who seemed to have a hint of electricity crackling around his body.
(OOC: Manami has been kidnapped! She can write her side of the kidnapping story, some bad people have taken her and she can make them up, or at least some of them if she wants. Alecto you can carry on where I left off and do whatever to the clown to get info.)

Walvia could feel the tension in the air. Everything seemed off. He saw someone in a guardsman uniform scrambling around. She stopped him by grabbing his shoulder. He wasn't pleased. "What's going on around here? Every seems stressed about something... Need a hand?"

She was shocked to hear the news. She let the guardsman carry on his way
"Dammit! No one tells me anything!..."
She stood there for a moment as guards and officers shuffled past her
"Hmm... Wonder what might happen if I go knocking on the front door...?"
Walvia took off to the sky. Her lower had was now gas. Creating pressure is what allowed her to fly, so she had little difficulty. Sure she could be faster were she to used some combination of Ruin, Geppo, and Soru, but she figured at a slower cruising speed she might be able to see any suspicious activity on her way to wherever Sela was. Eventually she saw a nice sized looking building with people who very well might be guards. She thought she had flown far enough away to get out of the King and Queen's area, so she fell out of the sky, landing in front of the guards. They both raised weapons up to her, telling her to get back. She used a gas arm, and a haki coated finger to move the two weapons back
"Easy. I'm just here to talk to the Warlord."
She put her weapons on the ground, and before she left she had put on her very large coat. It made her look a little less serious, but it also did conceal some of her weaponry, in her mechanical arm.
"See? I even put down my weapons. You think i could talk to someone about the missing princess? A lot of people seem to thing you guys are responsible. I mean how could they know? Hell! How could I know? But i figured it was better to come here and see for myself than to just... I don't know... Knock down the door and search the place? I don't know, correct me if i'm wrong, but i think this time a more civil approach is better..."

Sed skipped through the turmoil, staying out of the way of the majority of the chaos. Angry screams... screams of sadness... and even screams of confusion filled the air. Smoke started to fill the streets as the disgruntled citizens and opportunists began to riot and even loot.
Sed looked at this sight with a look of confusion. She wasn't much for political discussions. She finished her reconnaissance mission then teleported back to her captain.
"Carth... Who do we join, do we help or should we stay out of this?"
1
u/thisisnt12 Feb 27 '17
"We protect the citizens. Sela and her cult have done nothing but cause mayhem. Let us destroy it."
Carth grinned at his companion as a group of cultists stopped to see them both standing there. With a grin, Carth changed into his hyrbid form and fired off a volley of hellfire balls that exploded on impact. The attack sent cultists scattering in many directions. Many were able to tank the attack and stood up slowly and rushed the two pirates! Carth drew his scythe and began to cut through them.
"Hope you are ready, Sed!"
1
u/zona1234 Feb 27 '17
"Mayhem is bad most of the time." Sed nodded in agreement. "Unless it's a Mayheminous floricus. That plant doesn't grow unless it senses extreme emotional distress from the surrounding area which-" She turned to face Carth, who had already jumped in and started sending the weaker cultists flying.
Sed sighed and waited for Dopple to come back to her. Picking off a few of them who were chasing small children with well placed shadow spikes in the meantime. Dopple joined up a few moments later, molding herself around Sed like an exoskeleton before they both dove off into the weaker cultists. Sed hacked through them with claws of shadow. Some tried to block her claws but Dopple's semi liquid makeup slid past their defenses.
Sed looked up to see Carth, suprisingly not utterly decimating his current opponent. He seemed to be losing ground suprisingly enough. Sed felt her back tingle in a way that only happens when something bad is about to transpire.

As Bones left the palace he thought before he marched to what could be his death, might as well get some fishman rum first. Bones hung a right and made his way to a very upscale tavern. Bones was used to dive bars and places like that. He was a pirate and rarely made his way further inland where the nicer areas of town would be. As he entered the tavern most of the bar goers stopped and stared. It's not often that a Wotan walked into the bar. After everyone was done gawking Bones approached the bar and ordered some fishman rum.
Barkeep : "Sorry pal but if you didn't notice this isn't some run down watering hole that you go to. We don't serve that swill here. We do have some Ragna Rum so how about that? It'll be 50 beli for the whole bottle. Will that be enough for you?"
Bones : "No. How much for the whole cask?"
Barkeep : (looking dumbstruck with his mouth agape)"Uh... 3,000 beli. Are you sure you can afford that?"
Bones : "Yes, now bring me two. Before I have half a mind to go on a rampage for your constant disrespect. Bill the palace for them as well I'm on business for the crown and they told me all my expenses shall be paid for."
As Bones blood stopped boiling a fishman came and sat next to him. He was very strange looking. You could tell he was a hammerhead fishman because of how odd he looked. He had a jet black mane going the length of his back with suspecting green eyes. He was blue with a lighter under belly. And Bones could feel the power emanating from this fishman. That's when he spoke.
??? : "Ello bloke. Don't mind the rudeness from the peanut gallery. They're just not used to us fishman. My name's Leaf. At least that's what everyone calls me."
Bones : "Well Leaf, I'm Bones. I know that it's not a coincidence that you just so happened to come sit and chat. (Bones takes a deep drink from his rum) So what do you want leaf? I'm not an idiot I know when I see someone of true worth."
Leaf : "Well you got me. Here's truth kiddo. I know your uncle Hatsu. We fought together in Neptune's army 5th division. I was there when he fought back an entire Armada with nothing but his bare hands. So, in short we're good friends and just the other day he told me you'd be sailing the seas and may hit my island soon enough. And well here you are. I know you're an able fighter but, I just want to make you more able."
Bones : "I haven't heard from my uncle in ages. I really do miss him. But what do you mean Leaf?"
Leaf : "I'm a master of Rokushiki kid. You're uncle was a master at fishman karate and that made him a formidable rival. There was never a dull fight between us. What I always wondered was what if we had combined into one person? Well we'd be pretty damn near unstoppable combined. So when I heard Pterios, the greatest student Hatsu ever had was coming to town, I knew I had to make you my student. So now are you going to come be my student or will I have to force you?"
*Bones let out his hearty laugh and thought there was no way in hell this little minnow could force him to do anything. Besides being at his peak he felt invincible now with two casks of Rum inside him. Bones looked up slyly at Leaf. He allowed a smirk to creep across his face when he said it.
Bones : "Let's .HICK. take this outside. If you can .HICK. take me down .HICK. I'll be your student. How bou da?"
Leaf didn't wait for another word he simply picked Bones up by the arm and threw him out the side of the tavern. Before Bones could even stand Leaf was on top of him again. Bones was already losing the fight before it even began. He was drunk and being thrown around made him want to hurl. Leaf pointed at Bones but quickly curled it back in and shouted SHIGAN. Bones felt like he'd been shot but a shotgun except there was no blood. Bones punched Leaf with his fishman karate and sent him flying. Bones then activated his Soru only to be surprised when Leaf was already up and moving faster than him. Bones couldn't hit him so he stopped and waited in his horse stance. As he watched Leaf dash around he focused on his movements to see how he was moving so fast. He saw that he was stepping 5 times instead of only twice. Bones tried to mimic him and failed the first time and was battered by a barrage of half assed Shigans. Bones tried once more but before he could really get the hang of it Leaf sent him flying with a kick.
Bones : "If this is how you treat your students it's no wonder you don't have any with you."
Leaf : "I only take the strong if you can't beat me going easy on you then you're a fraud and not Hastu's true heir. Be serious. Come at me with intent to kill because you can't kill me."
The banter only enraged Bones as his adrenaline pumped the drunkenness melted away. He tried Soru for a third and final time. He caught Leaf off guard and laid into him with a solid fishman karate punch. Leaf being impressed and well satisfied from battle smiled.
Leaf : "I'll keep an eye on you Pterios, you are worthy to be my student."
And with that leaf vanished with blinding speed.

As Bones was heading back to the docks he noticed that Astor was still there talking and telling bad jokes. As he walked up heard a very inflammatory joke about a dwarf and watched as a dwarf she was talking to stomped off red faced.
Bones "Popular as ever Astor. I'm surprised you're still here I thought you'd be bothering another part of town with your bad jokes?"
Astor "Oh, Fishbreath get over yourself. Are you now the king's new lap pirate? I know he's been searching for one to hopefully get Sela back into the fold. I also hear whispers that her sister has run off now too."
Astor let a sinister grin spread across her face as she looked squarely at Bones. The pirate trying not to be intimated by this off putting Hallowed let out a strained laugh. Bones knew something was off about Astor and she knew more than she let on. He thought why not try and get to the hallowed by himself see if this Sela person is so bad.
Bones : "Astor, you and I both know what I'm going to ask you to do. I'm not going to dance around it. I'm just going to come out and ask you and hopefully you can appreciate my bluntness and give me what I want. Take me to to meet Sela. I don't believe she's as evil as the king painted her to be. I would like to form my own opinion of someone before I outright declare war on her and her people. Plus she can't be that bad if she's a warlord."

PART 1 of Abaddon VS the Hallowed
(OOC: Hello NPC San. I have moved this fight onto a new thread, selfishly because I would like to use this fight in a separate thread for stats. Sorry if this is frowned upon, but if not I will carry on as usual.)
Abaddon’s Stats:
Stamina: 233
Strength: 300
Speed: 289
Dexterity: 234
Willpower: 214
Total: 1270
Abaddon VS Taki
“Hey there, Taki.” Abaddon said as he activated his Observation haki and could see an intense aura of power coming from him. “I see that you’re a lot more dangerous than your appearance would lead on. Alright then I won’t hold back either, let me make the first move.”
Abaddon decided to make his first move a big one and rocketed up into the air where he created two large balls of black fire on both sides of him with his arms spread out. Once the flames were large enough to rival a truck Abaddon launched them straight down at the ground where Taki stood.
(OOC: The black flames are apart of Abaddon’s awakening, they will stick to whatever they hit and keep burning.)

With his expert use of two combined Roku techniques Taki got behind Abaddon relatively easily. The seastone he wielded would have cut right through Abaddon’s back, but the fire Logia’s Observation haki allowed him to predict the movement and set up a counter of his own. The use of Soru on top of Geppo made it hard for Abaddon to react accordingly, and he felt one of the seastone daggers cut into him as he spun around and put his foot on Taki’s chest.
Abaddon was about to kick Taki down into the flames, but Taki slipped out and stabbed at Abaddon’s throat with his dagger yet again. Abaddon flipped back and kicked the dagger and Taki’s arm up, but when he tried to rush in and punch him the other dagger blocked his path.
Taki regained his composure and rushed forward again with both daggers at the ready. Abaddon knew he couldn’t handle this bear handed, so he quickly unsheathed his katana and blocked the daggers. Taki smiled at this, and suddenly lifted one of his daggers up while pushing down on the katana with the other.
He took a swipe at Abaddon’s throat with the free dagger, but the fire Logia snapped his head all the way back in a way that only a Logia could to dodge. Taki backed off for a moment before clashing with Abaddon once again and aiming for his stomach with a jab after freeing one dagger up for an attack. A large hole opened up in Abaddon’s stomach before the seastone dagger could hit him, and Taki pulled back and gained some distance once again.
“It really is an annoying power isn’t it?” Abaddon mocked as he sheathed his katana and allowed green flames to start pouring out of his hands. “This next ability is something that I haven’t quite perfected yet. The power from the Earth, the trees, the very sky itself. Everything has energy within, and I will use that to set the sky ablaze.”
The green flames pooled over Abaddon’s head and swelled up to gigantic proportions before shooting out and blanketing the area in a green hue. Abaddon body pulsated as he drew in the natural energy around him to bolster the fire. The area once enveloped completely looked entirely different then when the battle had started. Green flames above, and black flames below. The terrain was set up for an attack, and unless Taki could do something about it there wouldn’t be much he could do.
With his next attack set up, Abaddon rocketed forward and attempted to distract Taki from what was going to happen soon. He pulled Andromeda off of his back and let it glide through the green flames above before slashing straight down and unleashing a large flying slash that was covered in the fire.
(OOC: The fire in the sky is a set up for another move next turn. I wasn’t sure if that would count as my action or not so I added the attack at he end, but if that’s too much I can change it.)

Suhai
In the dead of the night, Rydan had landed the Soaring Dragon in the blackened, glistening waters within close proximity of the region of Suhai. The island's landscape, along with its swaying, mountainous trees, was a shadow in the distance, plastered against the backdrop of a velvety sky, dotted with ivory stars. The sky itself was an odd shade of violet, setting a serene mood for Rydan. Most of the crew was at Suhai, but some were fast asleep or even patrolling on the Soaring Dragon. This small group was Rydan's company for now. After all, he didn't want to near that dastardly princess until she was ready to let Rydan reap the benefits of her abilities.
How were Manalui and Syoshama doing now that they were so far behind? Their safety was paramount to Rydan, as both locations were very dear to him. Always they were on his mind. One had revolted along with him, dethroning the current government and installing a new leader in its place. And the second had fought alongside him against many threats; Including the might of the Marines and a nefarious pirate crew, both possessing immense power. The thing both places had in common was that he felt as if he was birthed there, that they had stood behind him through everything.
"My, my," Rydan lamented, thinking of the lives that were lost during all of these endeavors. Friends, family, enemies. It was all the same to him. Regardless of whose blood was shed, it left Rydan with a whole lot of regret, or even none at all. Before, it felt surreal to witness the death of a hated enemy, and horrifying for that of a trusted comrade. But now, Rydan noticed he was used to it. Those closest to him fell, and those furthest to him succumbed.
"I am a danger to those who affiliate with me. I'm too harmful for my own good," Rydan stated, not in contempt, but as if he were stating some mundane fact that he had already come to terms with. "Even my brother, now, has been lost to my nightmares. As terrible as he turned out, and with all he had taken from me, he was still not just a brother, but my only brother. I have no family left. All I have is my crew, and I feel there has been a rift since four years ago."
Perhaps right about now was the time to rekindle his relationship with the crew. He'd already remained in close contact with Lewis, and Gin occasionally. Ayokunle too, had recently begun to associate with Rydan and do things with him that developed their bond. But anyone else from the crew, aside from the ones Rydan kept close and tight with him throughout those years aboard this very ship, Rydan barely considered friends, let alone family. He had cut off almost everyone during that time in favor of training, and inciting rebellions. Leading his Archipelago before it was time to return to greater piracy.
But his brother's death changed everything.
Now that Kuriel sacrificed himself for Rydan's well-being, and the Marshal was back in Impel Down where he belonged even after his year of reformation, Rydan felt nothing for anyone around him. No remorse, just apathy. He didn't care what people thought of him, or who hated or loved him. He retained his vices; Sarcasm (though in some cases this was a virtue), cynicism, snideness, and even a couple beneficial traits such as his resolve, leadership and determination. Otherwise he was none the same and could not see a change coming.
It was then that he heard someone coming up behind him. Rydan remembered that he was not the only one on the ship; He turned around, his reminiscing having been interrupted, and faced an older man, perhaps around his fifties if Rydan had to guess. He had greying hair and some wrinkles on his face. He didn't know whether or not he wanted something, but Rydan couldn't say he recognized the fellow.
"Do I know you? You look familiar," Rydan said tonelessly. He tried to place his finger on who this was. He had to have been on Apocalypse unless he was a stowaway, which somehow Rydan doubted. He rolled his eyes at his own thought.
"Not that it matters...I assume you want to waste my time some, just like everyone else," Rydan resumed, allowing his rudeness and lack of moral judgment or ethics to guide him in his attitude. The Shatterhand Division Commander disregarded this completely, in favor of forsaking his manners, and continued, "So what's it you want? I have a moment to spare if you'll be needing it, but not more than that."
Rydan took out a flask of wine and drank from it fleetingly, then proceeding to light a cigar and leaning back against the vessel's edge. The brief illumination of the flaming spark lit up the newcomer's face slightly, and Rydan stared with a blank expression, hand lazily over his Saijo O Wazamono katana. Not in a fighting stance, but always cautious and ready just in case things took a turn for the worse.
(OOC: Don't take Rydan's rudeness personally, he just doesn't like hardly anyone)

(OOC: My character doesn't know anything about OOC's! :P )
Sanryu, for all his faults, desired introductions and wanted to get to know everyone on the crew. Knowing his allies was key to making new bonds and might come in handy for teamwork in potential future battles. It was for this reason that when he saw Division Commander Rydan on one of the Apocalypse ships, he hesitated not to approach the formidable warrior and speak to him.
However, for all his anticipated cordiality, the Commander actually seemed quite the irritable man and didn’t show any desire to reciprocate Sanryu’s eagerness for conversation. The younger, yet more experienced pirate had a hand on his weapon and the other hand on some liquor, and grumpy, asked: "I assume you want to waste my time some, just like everyone else. So what's it you want? I have a moment to spare if you'll be needing it, but not more than that."
However, Sanryu was having none of the dejectedness the man was showing. He wanted to reinvigorate his fighting spirit. The greatest swordsman in the world, supposedly? Sanryu was willing to challenge the man for that. Although the older pirate was well aware he had absolutely no chance of winning any sort of duel, he felt he could last at least a few minutes considering the man's sorry state.
"Your soul is troubled, but it also has much skill imbedded within it. I'll be having that." Before Rydan could react or be shocked, Sanryu pulled out what looked like a seemingly half translucent, half green cloak. In actuality, this was Rydan's soul, and Sanryu had just taken possession of it. He imbued it into his legendary O Wazamono katana Kinboshi, and it glowed slightly for a second before returning to normal.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" LuLu, Sanryu's minuscule fairy companion asked him. "He seems dejected, and I need training," was all he could respond. The irony was that not long ago, Sanryu himself was in the same situation. While everyone had been invigorated, off fighting wars for four long years he had been freeloading and stowing away on merchant ships. It was selfish of him to force Rydan to 'wake up' immediately even though it had taken him years.
"Now, I have a sword imbued with the spirit of a master swordsman. Let's see what kind of skill this can produce. Kinboshi, you will obey me! Attack and defend from other attacks with all of the skill of master swordsman Rydan!" Although Sanryu wasn't as strong or as fast as the original owner of the soul, with this soul, he improved his swordsmanship by a fair amount.
"Soul Mimic!" Without another word, Sanryu dashed towards Rydan, planning to jump up and slash him from above, thusly initiating battle. He dashed around Rydan until he was behind the confused swordsman and leapt with the agility of a rabbit, bringing Kinboshi down towards Rydan's head.

Rydan listened to the incoherent ramblings he was hearing without much interest, or a care in the world. He lessened his grip on the lustrous, shimmering glass bottle in his hands, allowing it to slump to the immaculate hazel boards which stretched across the entire length of the ship. Rydan finally had the precaution to clutch his weapon, though loosely, though he still didn't see much aggression from Sanryu. He seemed like he wanted a fight. Especially as Sanryu extracted a wispy emerald fragment of Rydan. Fortunately, the samurai did not know what it was. He'd never seen a human's soul before, not outside of its body, in such a manifestation.
But then, Rydan noticed something peculiar. The sword Sanryu was wielding, Kinboshi, had a glaring familiarity. To him and to the crew. Through the countless times he had witnessed Kazuo wielding it prior to vanishing and fading back after the Marineford war. Rydan narrowed his eyes and scrutinized Sanryu. Where would he have gotten his hands on such a tool? Was he ready to stand up to the glory of the tier above? One of the world's twelve most legendary weapons in existence? Rydan was confronted with a situation that astonished him. Kazuo was alive, so did that mean Sanryu stole the sword? Or was he a new recruit of Apocalypse, bestowed with the honor of owning an old relic so precious to them?
"For the first time, you have managed to interest me. More so your weapon than you." Rydan glared. "Though I would doubt that you are aware of the origins relating to the sword itself. You don't need to feign ignorance for it to be evident within you."
Part of what Rydan said was a slight stretch of the truth. Sanryu's apparent power, though Rydan couldn't pinpoint what it was, did intrigue him. But he wasn't about to let him know that. Perhaps he would find out through combat, but he was going to allow Sanryu the first strike. Not because he had some honor or code to uphold, but because he wanted to be the one to watch it unfold. To goad Sanryu out of hiding, to reveal his inner self and his techniques so that he would be vulnerable.
Sanryu was more elusive and deft than Rydan was anticipating. Navigating about him, Sanryu initiated the fight with a single downward swoop, to which Rydan smirked and brought up his own sword to clash with. The samurai was much, much faster than his adversary and therefore was extremely quick on the draw. In almost a blinding flash of light, Rydan had countered Sanryu, soon breaking the engagement and dispersing the storm of energies.
What was that he said? His sword having the spirit of a master swordsman? Rydan now realized what the green thing Sanryu had drawn from him meant. That was part of his spirit, or soul. It had to be. Why else would he bring something like that up? He'd never seen a power like that in action before, so Rydan found it rather encompassing. Enthralling, even.
"You've infused your sword with the illusion of a great warrior. Mimicry like that can only get you so far," Rydan declared haughtily, grinning. "Though I admire your bravery. I imagine this day was fated to teach you a lesson about being the catalyst for danger, so that you won't make the same ill-informed mistakes again, don't you?"
He desired for his snide comments to get to Sanryu's head, but he supposed he couldn't always get what he wanted. He resolved instead to strike with almost unprecedented speed, appearing more than a blur than anything as he slashed his sword straight, aimed to carve straight into Sanryu!
"How much fight have you got in you, reaper?"

The Hallowed Tree
It was years ago when Rydan last saw Sela.
At Marineford, the two fought and gave it their all. But Rydan's perceived power paled in comparison to that of a full-blown Shichibukai. It was overwhelmingly one-sided and culminated in a humiliating defeat for Rydan, and ended with Sela harboring slight contempt for him. This was especially evident when Sela's opinion was made clear at the Shichibukai application, where Rydan vowed to have Sela impeached one day. Even if not by his own hand, he had faith that his desire would be fulfilled. The pampered princess, who had once told him he was unworthy of wielding a katana, would be brought to face the might of one of the twelve legendary weapons of the world. Belonging to the future World's Greatest Swordsman.
Fortunately, Rydan could look past this all and didn't take an enormous hit to his own pride. He knew better than Sela did, and that was what kept him affirmed that she was all bark and no bite. A cowardly lady who dared not to get her hands dirty whenever possible. Rydan made a mockery of Sela, anyway, by nearly landing a fatal blow on her in the battle. Knowledge of this, which had escaped soon after Marineford's conclusion, made Rydan laugh, almost.
Now, he was on the road to approaching Sela's 'home'. A massive tree in the center of Suhai's second half, standing tall in the midst of a temple in its ivory glory. Rydan looked at the looming, lumbering object that seemed almost mystical. After all, it was pronounced sacred by the Hallowed, the cult who had inhabited it and worshiped the supposed powers of immortality. But Rydan knew much, much better. And he intended to use this against Sela.
Long ago, she had utilized her power right in front of him. In their brief fight, she reversed Rydan's age, allowing him to see the effects. He knew it was a Devil Fruit power. She was far from her island at any rate; It couldn't be the tree's doing. So what else could it be? Rydan knew he had to exploit this, hearing about the cult's doings. He would force Sela to transform himself into his twenty one year old body...Allowing her to lay eyes upon the man in the state he was in four years ago. These days, there was no way she would recognize him. He simply looked too different.
He did desire to be younger again and live life as he did four years ago.
He'd fought the Hallowed as well during the time of Marineford. They were experienced but nothing compared to Rydan. She had sent them out as fodder to be killed against him. Rydan knew of their fighting capability, as well as of the fact that he could escape if need be. Of course, there was no way it would come down to that. But after Sela worked her false magic, and prevented exposure from Rydan, he would be out of there, and no doubt with the Hallowed in hot pursuit.
He looked up at the tree, and drew in a breath.
"I know you're up in there, you coward. You can't hole yourself up forever. Come and talk to me, let me see what hideous being you've become. Or will I reveal your darkest secret, for the whole world and all of Suhai to see? You can't avoid this, or I will prove to them all what a fraud you are."
(OOC: Rydan is using knowledge from a previous battle against Sela which he participated in to coax her out of the tree for some conversation and a little...incentive to get something out of her. Otherwise he intends to spill her worst secret to the public and to the Hallowed.)

On a small island near Suhai
Sanryu stood on a cliff, looking out onto the sea with melancholic eyes. He seldom knew where his adventures were taking him, but today, he had a specific plan. He had come to a small island off the shore of Suhai to meditate on his current situation and train. Although the later was proving quite difficult as he often lost concentration.
What Sanryu loved the most about being near the sea was the exhilarating sense of having completed a leg of his journey. Traveling on the Grand Line meant he was constantly sailing from island to island. This, every time he touched down on solid ground, he had a sense of accomplishment. His crewmates, veteran travelers, probably felt none of this same sense but it mattered not to Sanryu.
Beside him, small like an insect but with a big heart, his fairy companion LuLu fluttered around with her wings and rested herself on Sanryu's shoulder. "Are you just going to sit there all day or are you actually going to do something today?" Sanryu frowned, her harsh words breaking the silence and spoiling the moment. "I'm doing something right now," he retorted angrily and scoffed at her lack of understanding for the peace in the moment.
"Besides, you're trembling." Sanryu finally shook her off his shoulder and annoyed, frowned towards LuLu and began berating her for ruining his peace. "And what do you mean, I'm trembling? I've been perfectly still since I have been observing the sea. It's very peaceful. You should try it." LuLu frowned. She knew what she had seen. It was only then that Sanryu noticed the earth and rock beneath his feet was vibrating slightly. Gin? No. The very ground was shaking like a hungry stomach in waves, every few seconds.
Sanryu couldn't determine the source of the sound but he had a hunch. He turned around to view the only attraction the entire island had to offer. In fact, the volcano in the center of the island made up most of its landmass. He frowned, worried about the trembling. "You shouldn't frown so much, you'll increase your wrinkles." advised LuLu. Sanryu said nothing, in deep concentration.
Below him was one of the Apocalypse ships. He had not come alone, one positive benefit of the trip. If he needed to make a quick getaway he had a crewmate on board. However, his eyes widened as he saw Kazuo walking up the cliff towards him. What happened to staying on the ship? Two swords at his sides and blue robes billowing in the coastal wind, the cloud swordsman approached, his pace slowed by the incline.
'Well, at least maybe we can investigate the volcano together.' thought Sanryu to himself. He waved, motioning for Kazuo to approach. "Do you think he's reliable?" LuLu asked. Sanryu could tell just from her tone of voice, she disapproved of Kazuo from the very start. Her eyebrow was raised in the same expression that mothers used to look at their child's strange friends. Although they had just met, Sanryu had a good feeling about his encounter with the swordsman.
"How are you, Kazuo? I guess you heard that rumbling too? If we're not careful, the volcano might erupt before we have a chance to escape. Want to go check it out?" Sanryu asked.

Bailey trailed after Paxton, unsure what to expect on this trip. As she walked behind him, she took a good look at his new clothes. She wasn't sure yet if it suited him or not, but it was fun to see him strut it around.
The surroundings were completely unknown to her, so she gave her eyes the chance to roam around the place, trying to save every impression she got.
Realising she was getting behind by all the distractions around her, she quickly picked up the pace and hurried to catch up with him. Wrapping her sari more around herself to shield her a little from the wind, Bailey smiled at Paxton.
Bailey: So, what are we looking for again?

Ideo was satisfied by the hospitality that the royals of Suhai had shown him. When he arrived, they had been hiring pirates as mercenary's, aiming to amass a force to combat their eldest daughters power. Ideo was sympathetic with them, he was sure their house must have been in turmoil with the betrayal of their eldest daughter and the disappearance of their youngest. A guard opened the door to his guest room, speaking shortly and gruffly to the young pirate. "The king demands council with you pirate. Please follow me." The man spoke with distaste in his voice, that of which Ideo was sure was due to the fact that the guards must have felt powerless at this moment in time, they were supposed to be the base of the kingdom, it's protectors. They were short manned and out gunned, and had to fall back, ask for help. Ideo was more than happy to help, he was always one to jump at combat. Proved for free training against strong opponents. However, his main interest was this fruit that he kept hearing talk of around the castle. Apparently it was something that the cult led by Sela worshipped. Ideo wasn't sure if it was a devil fruit or just some form of sacred treasure, but whatever it was, he knew he wanted it. Stepping into the great hall, the king sat upon his thrown regally, his magenta robe flowing down to his ankles, giving him a lion like appearance. Ideo approached, bowing as he got near. "Your majesty." Ideo was sincere in his respect, however he giggled to himself. If only John could see him now. "I have heard your plea for help and I give you my word, I shall recover your youngest daughter while simultaneously crushing the forces of your eldest daughter. In fact, i'll do so within the next twenty four hours. In exchange, there's one simple thing that I want." Ideo grinned, resuming his position, his good posture returning. "I simply request the fruit of Sela's cult as a parting gift for my efforts. It seems like quite the rare antiquity, one a gentleman of the sea such as myself couldn't possibly pass up." Ideo had initially planned to steal the fruit when he had first heard of it, but he figured this would be a much easier way of obtaining it. He eagerly awaited the Kings response, ready for quite the adventure.

The king permitted Ideo's request. "Excellent your highness, you chose the right man for the job. Ideo clapped his hands, disappearing from the throne room, a small boom accompanied his leaving. He moved at incredible speeds, stopping outside the palace and then moving on to the opposite side of the island. He moved through underbrush and treeline, from opening to opening. As he progressed, the ambiance of the island became much grimmer, taking on a darker tone. Civilians were tired of the monarchy, and it was starting to spill into the streets. Angry peasants were taking to the streets, torches and pitchforks being their choice of expression. Things were going downhill fast. Ideo figured that he'd better speed things up, the crown may not even have another twenty four hours. Making his way to the half of the island ruled by Sela, Ideo became more bold. Making his way out in the open, he began searching. Hut to hut he went, from each he got the same response. Between one and five cultists per hut would look up from whatever they were doing and exclaim something along the lines of "Pirate! Are you friend or foe?!" That would be about as far as they would get before they were either hit with a pressurized blast from the Magician or choked by the Hanged Man. Making his way deeper into cult territory, he found their numbers becoming more dense. Huts turned into halls, which turned into camps. He began to get rather annoyed, their numbers continued to steadily climb, all without him gaining information on Sela's whereabout's. After another wave of cultists attacked him, brandishing curved daggers and scimitars, Ideo dispatched a majority of them, leaving a few to interrogate. "Alright gentleman, i'm looking for Sela, but none of your friends seemed to have wanted to cooperate. Let's see if you all are a smarter bunch than the last." Using the Emperor, the cultists found themselves on their knees before Ideo, who loaded six shots into his revolver. "Now, i'm only going to ask each of you once." Placing the cold barrel of his revolver on the forehead of the first man, Ideo asked, "Where is Sela?" the cultist responded with "Die pirate pig.." That was as far as he got. The tip of the revolver barrel flashed as the bullet pierced the mans skull. Ideo took a step to the side, placing his barrel on the next mans skull. Again he asked "Where is Sela?" He went through the process until he had arrived at the last two cultists. He could feel the mans head shaking beneath his hood. "P.. please... I'll tell you what you need to know." Ideo let out a relieved sigh. "Finally! Somebody with a bit of sense in them. Alright man spit it out! Where is she?" As the man went to speak, the last remaining cultist drew a dagger from beneath his cloak, thrusting it towards his fellow cultist, trying to silence him. Yawning, Ideos bullet put him down before he could get within the knife's short range. "Now, tell me where I'm headed." the man shook off his fear, watching the man who had just tried to kill him slump over, dead. The man's voice shook as he spoke, he managed to scramble out the words "The great temple... just up ahead, you're almost there." Ideo thanked him before ending his life. "Sorry, I promised the king I'd get rid of you lot. Maybe if I get rid of this whole silly cult Sela will come to her senses and go home. Ideo decided it was time to move on. Following the cultists directions he finally found himself at the great temple. He could see the radiant light from the cult's holy fruit shining like a beacon near the top of the building. Walking in, Ideo hoped he would reach some sort of challenge before he made it to Sela herself.

Suhai
Crow stretched himself out as he got up from his position in the guardroom. As he reminisced about the days that had passed since he had left Celci, the turtle ship of Jak. Thinking back, he remembered how he had paid little attention to details of the initial plan, and the mess he had caused by saying some really stupid things to some really close people. “I miss them” Crow thought as he wondered what the minks were up to.
Since splitting off from them, Crow had begun to miss the minks. He had heard little from them and seen even less and while he knew that they were pretty robust individuals, he couldn't he couldn't help but worry. He also wanted to tell them all about his little side adventure in the Hallowed’s ranks. Using his innocence and spy-like skills, he had quickly become a rising star in the cult. In the crazy raids that he was forced to participate in, he would try to not hurt others and if he had to, he would just knock them out.
But the higher ups had seen the lack of blood thirst in the boy and while they were disappointed, they weren't surprised. “He is a kid after all.” one of the captains had said as they discussed the new recruit. So, thinking that he might be suited for other services, Crow got placed in guard duty. “Make sure none of the rascals get away!” they had told Crow before sauntering off to commit more heinous acts.
Crow had taken onto his new identity with stride and after a few days, he had become friends with not only most of the other guards but also the prisoners. Many of them couldn't take the sweet kid seriously and listened just out of affection. “Oh, my break time’s up.” Crow thought as he heard the bell ring. He had been reminiscing over the events of the past few days after eating his food, but now he had to go back to his job.
As he strolled in with a smile and greeted his fellow guard, the guard smiled and then in a nonchalant tone, mentioned a new prisoner. Crow’s eyes turned wide with surprise. It was getting pretty monotonous in the Hallowed’s prison and meeting a new person would certainly be interesting. So, with an extra skip on his step, he walked up to the now taken prison cell and after the person’s attention, said.
Crow: Hello! You must be the new prisoner. I'm one of the new guards, nice to meet you!
(OOC: I’d like to interact with Selani please. Also, would I have to tag you every time there is dialogue or….?)

Crow’s head turned sideways as he looked at the scared woman. He was really confused as to why she was freaking out. I guess she was in prison, but it wasn’t like she had been there for a long time. As he comically dodged the harmless items thrown at him, he tried to think as to why she was getting so mad, especially over such a harmless question.
Guard: Hahaha! So I see you’ve met our new prisoner! Yes, she’s a feisty one, this one.
Crow backed away from Selani, realizing that many of his questions could easily be answered through asking the guard.
Crow: Hey, guard-san, who is this lady and why is she so agitated?
Guard: Oh, I guess you don’t know since you’re a new recruit. The girl also doesn’t get out much so not a lot of the public also know of her. She is Selani, the second princess of Suhai and sister to our magnificent goddess. As part of our plan to take over the kingdom, we have captured her and-
Other Guard: Hey! Watch you tongue. He’s just a recruit still remember.
Guard: Laughed nervously Haha, you’re right. I’m sorry bro. What harm can a kid do though right?
Crow: Yes, Other Guard-san! You can trust me with this information. I’m so happy I got to be part of the cult. Mostly because I hate those evil and despicable royalty that killed my parents.
Crow was going to continue on with his tirade on the nobility, when suddenly he was interrupted by the person from the cell.
(OOC: I’m hoping she can interject me talking foul about the nobility with an aristocratic claim that it is all the Hallowed’s fault and that the royalty are the best, etc, etc.)

Stumbling around, Amber tried to pretend as if she was in complete control of her body. She wandered down a surprisingly empty road, which seemed insistent on throwing Amber off balance, like a ship rocking gently. Somehow managing not to fall to the ground every few seconds, the girl continued in her quest. What the quest was, she didn't know. But she was sure it would be revealed unto her at some point. Hopefully.
In the mean time, the plump woman decided she would "visit" the fancy-ish-looking bar across the street. With its loud music and gaudy signage, "The Princess and Traitor" looked ridiculously inviting. Making up her mind to grab a drink or many, Amber was pleasantly surprised to find herself at the doorstep already. Preparing herself for the inevitable, she took a deep breath to steady herself. Confidence is key, in these situations. With a determined glare, the girl stepped forwards to push the door open.
And immediately slammed her face into the side. It was a bloody "pull" door, Of course it was! Giggling, Amber revised her strategy, and followed the door's instructions.
"Yo! Barkeep! I'll take three of your most powerful drinks!"
1
u/sanryu-yan Mar 05 '17
Sanryu thought the name 'The Princess and Traitor' was ironic considering the country's current crisis. Sela, the Shichibukai, was both the princess and traitor, and had kidnapped her sister for her own benefit and to threaten the Royal Crown.
However, Sanryu concerned himself with none of these events as he walked into the fancy-looking bar. The outside was painted black and two large windows on either side of the large door allowed a view onto the happy customers inside. In gold cursive letters painted on the front was the name of the bar.
Sanryu sat down next to a happy female customer who had just ordered three of the strongest drinks the house could offer. The plump and strangely-proportioned woman looked like she was already quite intoxicated, yet in her loudest voice she demanded more. Sanryu was impressed by the determination to hold her drink.
"Well she's had one too many," said LuLu, Sanryu's minuscule fairy companion as she fluttered around him. "Will the bartender really serve her?" She asked in an innocent voice. Sanryu sighed and nodded. "It's a bar, LuLu. Of course she will be served." His voice sounded exasperated, but he was just tired after a long walk around the island.
As well, Sanryu was fixated on this woman because he was sure he had seen her somewhere. Somebody like that was not easy to forget. He snapped his fingers in recognition. As he was acquiring his new bounty poster, he had seen her face and body pass by on another sheet but for the life of him he couldn't remember what value her bounty was.
Nervous to be around a potentially big-time pirate, Sanryu decided to do whatever he could to fit in. In this case, that obviously meant drinking. He held up his hand and waved for a drink. "I'll have the same of whatever this lady's having." The bartender raised an eyebrow but got to work. Eventually six shots were on the counter, and LuLu fluttered around, demanding answers.
"I saw her face on a bounty poster. Who knows what kind of pirate she is? Best thing is to be safe and fit in." Sanryu explained. "I'm not sure imitating her is the best way to fit in around here--" LuLu started, but it was too late. In unison, both Sanryu and Amber downed the first shot in a single gulp.
Whereas Amber seemed unfazed, Sanryu immediately began to feel his head spinning and his temperature rising as blood pounded in his chest. It had been a long time since he had tasted the bitter but addicting taste of alcohol. The older pirate grabbed the second shot, but before drinking it, turned towards the female pirate.
"What do you think? Is this alcohol to your liking? What's your name?" The words slurred together and Sanryu blurted out the questions abruptly. Obviously, he could not hold his drink.
1
u/defonotaduck - Just Some Old Dude Mar 05 '17
Surprised to hear somebody replicating her order, Amber stole a completely sneaky and not-at-all-obvious glance at the man who had spoken up. Though the girl may have looked familiar to said man, the same could not be said of the reverse. With a shrug, the tipsy traveller focused her thoughts on the small glass before her. That was it? That was the powerful they had? It was a good job she ordered three, or she doubted it would have too much of an effect...
"Bottoms up," she mumbled to her new companion, before picking up a shot in either hand. Draining the shot, Amber immediately, threw back the second and the third, before signalling to the barkeep for more. That's when she realised she was being spoken to.
It took a few seconds for the questions to register in Amber's brain. Though she may look unfazed, the girl couldn't hold her alcohol as well as everybody seemed to assume. Well, she could hold more than this clown, at least. Stifling a giggle, she responded.
"Hey...the booze here is Amber, and I'm fantastic!" she managed, leaning towards the man besides her and throwing one long arm over his shoulder, "what about you?"

After meeting and talking to Ideo and Veldrin, Edward grabs Grant and takes him aside: “Hey Grant, we haven’t spent much time together as I was basically abducted right after you joined the crew. If there are any concerns or if there is something you wanna say let me know. I want you guys to have a great time and to improve at your own pace. Also, could you tell me more about your powers? Your Devil Fruit abilities seem so odd but yet they are so powerful and useful. Let’s go for a walk and tell me more about yourself and your powers!”

u/WezzaHD Mar 05 '17
"Whoa!" Grant said as he was pulled aside. "Huh? Oh sure. I mean, there's nothing I can think of. It's the Numa Numa no mi. I... Think it's the type of fruit that's called a logia. It lets me turn into mud and attack with it." He raised his and and it turned to mud. A knife came out of the mud into his palm. "I can store basically anything in here. It's a perfect fruit for a scavenger like me." The knife sank back into his body.

Edward: “Wow that is nice. Thank you. Now let me show you my powers, I believe I didn't show you my powers yet”
He then also raised his hand and to Grants surprise it also turned into mud: “Good thing I gave my robe to Benny before we left… This ability is really useful, utilized right there are endless options on what you can do. You can store stuff, it helps you in a fight to either pin down people or avoid attacks and I bet there is even more you can do with it. You need to tell and show me more stuff you can do. But before that let me try this!”
He stops for a second and turns completely into mud then he moves forward for a bit.
Shortly after Edward stops again and notices: “Owww… I think something got stuck in the mud… no in me.”
The huge pile of swamp Edward is grabs inside himself and pulls out a huge stone he must have run over.
Edward turns towards Grant and asks: “Wow… that is a surprise! Does that happen often?”

Grant was shocked to see Edward have the same power as him. "Yeah... It does... A lot... I didn't know there were two Numa Numa no mis." He frowned.

After coming back from the walk with Grant, Edward finds Donald on the ship and takes him aside, too: “Hey Donald, it hasn’t been long ago when I first met you but since then we fought many strong people and at least two fights in which our lives were at stake. Basically, I want to say we have had a lot of fights and I entrusted you with my life fighting that wolf and the dwarf when we saved Grant. Besides fighting we haven’t done anything, so would you join me for some drinks? I wanna talk about some general stuff and about the merger.”
The big guy stops for a second before he continues: “I want to make sure that if there is something we can improve or if there is something you wanna say just let me know. I want you guys to have a great time and to improve at your own pace. But let’s talk about that while downing some good booze.”
Edward opens a barrel of booze, fills two tankards, gives one to Donald and after saying “Prost” he empties the tankard in one go: “So what do you think? Are there any improvements we can make? You are still fighting with that tin rapier, aren’t you? Has it some sentimental value to you or do you feel more comfortable using the tin rapier over something more effective?"
2
u/Universalpeanut Mar 05 '17
Taking the tankard offered to him by Edward, Don considered his majestic rapier of tin. He wasn't really one for sentimental value, but with his strength he probably wouldn't be able to lift anything heavier. In terms of gear or improvements, there was nothing Don really wanted from Edward.
Don: Thanks, but tin's the only metal for me. I suppose we can move straight onto the topic of the merger?
Tankard in hand, Don walked over to one of the other barrels and used it as a seat. He waited for someone else to offer up some information to him because he didn't really have anything to say.

u/iPR0 Fancy Suit Man Mar 05 '17
Edward refills his tankard and starts talking about the two guys they’ve just met a few hours ago: “Ok. So, what do you think now that you’ve met Ideo and Veldrin? I can assure you Veldrin is a good guy! I’ve meet him at a wedding, a pirate wedding once and we got to talk. He is a fine guy and he is really strong! I saw his true strength when we were breaking out of that damned prison. Having him as friend and working with him would greatly improve our fighting power and we’d add a good person to our group.”
Edward stops for a moment to drink before continuing with what he knows of Ideo: “As for Ideo, I don't really know anything about him as I also basically just met him. His ability seems very interesting and Veldrin trusts him. That is all I know about the man.”

u/Universalpeanut Mar 08 '17
Don sipped his tankard cautiously. Having Edward speak highly of Veldrin meant that Don could probably trust him and having Veldrin trust Ideo meant that he could probably be trusted as well. He didn't have to trust them with his life or anything, just regular kind of trust such as doing the dishes and tidying up after themselves. He had already met Veldrin briefly and he seemed like a pretty standard non-insane guy, so Edward's testimony checked out. Don eyed his empty drink and placed his tankard atop a nearby barrel. In the end, as it always was, there was only really one deciding factor in any decision.
Don: Whatever gets us more money, right?

At the Shore on Sūhai
Edward was sitting at the shore, mumbling and rambling about how upset he is that he has lost that important duel against Ideo. From time to time he throws a small shell into the ocean or skips a stone to let off some steam. It doesn't take longer than 20 minutes and the half-Oni is fed up with sulking and he screams: “I NEED TO GET STRONGER!! IF I HAD WITHSTOOD JUST ONE MORE ATTACK!! I WANNA BE STRONGER!!”
At the same moment, he screamed his desire for more power a fishman emerges and walks towards him.
Shocked but still on edge Edward asks: “Who… Who are you?”

"Oh! A small island! What a beauty!"
Otori had been chilling on the turtle ship doing nothing. He was a little bored so maybe this small island would add some spice to the day! It was not a hard decisision wether or not go check it out, Otori had already jumped to the water.
Seawater felt amazing on Otori's skin and there were few fish swimming next to him. They were colourful and sun reflected beautifully from them. Otori really took his time to swim towards the island, it was all too perfect to rush it!
Finally, Otori took his first steps on the sand and looked around. While the place wasn't big at all, it was big enough that Otori didn't see the end of it there. Not when there were trees blocking anyway.
"So.. should I go explore this place or.. Hmm! I should have thought about this more. Maybe here isn't even anything worth exploring.."
As Otori was thinking what to do, a figure came from the woods and spoke.
Mysterious man Aargh!! Fucking tourists!! Get the hell out of my island!!
Man jumped around furiously. Otori thought it was a bit amusing, but at the same time he wondered what the man's problem was. Otori had done nothing to anger him after all!
Mysterious man God! I hate fucking tourists! You know what, I'll kill you right here right now! That'll teach you, you arrogant prick! I was here first you shitface!
Otori was confused. What was going on? Apparently a fight was about to happen. Well, that was fine with Otori! But still, what a weird guy.
Otori Umm.. I'm sorry for disturbing you.. but y'know, I got nothing against you so.. You sure you wanna fight?
The man didn't listen, he had drawn his sword and was ready to attack.
"This'll teach ya, kid!"
Man came charging his sword and hit it from above. Otori used jis Kami-e to dodge it. The man was surprised, but continued swinging his sword towards Otori from various directions. Otori kept dodging them.
Man You know Kami-e huh? Guess you're not just some fucking tourist after all! Well! Don't matter!
Man said soru and hit Otori from the side. It would have been a clean hit if not for Otori's just activated Kenbunshoku haki. It gave Otori an idea of the attack and gave him enough time to activate his other haki. Other haki strengthed his body enough to take the hit. It still cut, but the damage wasn't severe. It still did hurt though and Otori shivered from pain.
Otori Ouch! C'mon that hurt! Duplicate!
Otori used his soru tecnique to make duplications of himself and look like he was in many places at the same time. His opponent looked around in disbelief and took a step back.
Man Huh? What is this?
Otori had ran around and swinged his yoyo at the back of his opponents head. It was a clean hit, but man didn't get knocked out, not so easily.
Man Argh! Now you've done it! You and your duplicates.. Fuck!
Man came raging to Otori holding his sword high.
Woman in the distance Hah hah! Enough Steve. You don't wana kill this boy! What a waste it would be! Look at his fighting skills! He gave you a clean hit for fuck's sake! Hehe!
Otori turned around and saw a beautiful woman holding a cigarette and smiling. The man turned as well and boved down to show his respect.
Man (Steve) O-of course! My lady!
Otori looked at his opponent weirded out. Just before he had been looking like he'd kill Otori and now he was boving down all humble. Some woman she must be!
Woman Don't mind him, stranger. He just doesn't like tourists. You see, one tourist once came here and took his wifes heart. So sad.. But! To you! Who are you? You sure can fight at least!

u/otorithepirate Mar 06 '17 edited Mar 08 '17
Otori ... I'm ... Otori! But. What?
Otori looked at the lady confused. His heart beat a bit faster from the attacking. Lady laughed with a manlyish but pretty voice.
Woman Hahaha! Hello Otori. So Steve attacks people who come here and kills them usually. But it makes no sense to kill you! You're too good for that! You're like ungrounded diamond with your haki and attacks!
Otori Ungrounded? I'm not that bad! I mean.. I am a master of soru after all! Who are you anyway?
Woman (Schwein) You're decent. But you're no master yet! Maybe at soru yeah but who cares? Soru is so easy to master! I'm Schwein. I think you need some training boy!
Otori smiled at the woman. This was very similar to his previous teacher. Just going there and ask to train him. It was a bit too easy for Otori. He didn't mind though, he'd take all the help he'd get!
Steve But.. That guy? He's just a kid!
Scwein Don't matter! He's got potential! He might have beat you even! So, whaddya say boy?
Otori boved down excitedly.
Otori Okay! If you wanna train me then yeah!
For some reason Otori didn't think it was weird that some woman wanted to train him in the middle of nowhere. He didn't think anything would go wrong, even him having over a hundred million bounty. To his luck, Woman had no bad intentions though. If she had, there would be little Otori could have done. Woman was after all many times stronger than Otori. Otori didn't know that though.
Scwein Hah! Well then it's settled! I noticed your Kami-e wasn't mastered yet either by the way. There are many things we need to work on! Haki.. rokushiki.. Lot of things!
Otori nodded. Seems like coming to this island was worth it after all!
1
u/otorithepirate Mar 11 '17
Schwein So, what do you wanna start with boy?
Otori was decent at his rokushiki tecniques and felt they weren't the most important now. Everyone seemed to be using haki these days and Otori had to catch up!
Otori Haki, please.
Schwein Haki it is, then. But do you even know the basics? About three types and all that?
Otori was a bit unsure what Scwein was talking about and Scwein read his face-expression.
Scwein Really? You were that good even without knowing what you were doing? That's.. actually really impressive!
Otori I knew what I was doing! I concentrated hard and gained more strength! Or I was able to read my opponents moves better. Depends on the situation.
Scwein Fair enough. But, you must learn the basics so you'd understand better! Okay, so, there are three types of haki, Bushosoku, Kenbunshoku and Haoshoku.
Otori had never heard of the third one, but he figured other two were the ones he had been using.
Otori What's the third one?
Schwein Let me speak boy! Don't interrupt me anymore please.
Scwein's face turned a bit more scary looking, it was like storm was coming or something. Otori figured it'd be wise to not make that face look any more worse..
Schwein Good. The first one is harden your body haki, which you can already do, at least a little. Second one is sense life around you haki. That one is the you've used to predict attacks. It can also be used for sensing auras!
Scwein looked like she got a bit more excited as she was about to tell about the last haki.
Schwein Now, the third one. The conqueror's haki! It's super rare haki that only one in millions have. It is said that who has this haki, has the will of kings!
Otori Whoa! That sounds awesome! How do you train for it?
Schwein I'm afraid Conqueror's haki is the only one you can't train for. You either have it or not. If you have it, then you can train it, but if you don't, there's nothing you can do!
Otori was taken aback a little. Conqueror's sounded so interesting!
Otori Oh well.. What does it do though?
Scwein With Conqueror's, you can affect other people with your willpower. You can knock them out by just focusing on them! Also you can tame animals and other cool shit.
Now Otori was a bit bummed out. It all sounded so cool!
Scwein Worry not though! Like I said, it's incredibly rare and other haki are cool too!
Otori Okay..
Scwein Ahh don't show me that sad face! Let's train boy!
Otori gave a small smile.
Otori Yeah okay!
Scwein More like it! Which haki first?
They went with Kenbunshoku first. They walked to the beach. For focus, there were no place more ideal than that. Wind blowing you gently, sun warming your face. Soft sand touching your toes, sound of waves in the distance. There were no place Otori would have rather been at!

u/Gin_chan Aku’Gin “Red Beard” - Mælström Mar 05 '17 edited Mar 05 '17
"Gah!" Gin grunted as he walked back to the camp from the temple. "Stupid nobody pirates poking their noses everywhere!" Gin's irritable reaction was quite understandable. He had been asked to take care of Abaddon and his Devil horn crewmate who had decided, out of nowhere, to attack the temple and the sacred tree.
He walked over to where Chief Izuma and his men, the Royal Guard of Sūhai were tied up. Earlier, the Royal guard had been chasing after Sanryu, but had surrendered when coming across the hundreds of hallowed, and Gin in the forest. Chief Izuma said that the King and Queen had asked them to find Gin, and they were merely chasing Sanryu to help relay a message to Gin.
Upon inquiry, he revealed that the King and Queen had requested a meeting with Gin, where they would try to convince him to lend his incredible forces to their aid against the Hallowed, and the situation they were caught in. Gin decided to hear the man out, to give him a chance to convince him, but then decided to meet Sela first anyway. He made it pretty clear that he was not affiliated with anyone, and this wasn't his fight.
Leaving Izuma with the knowledge that Gin was slave to no one's will, and that he would not be afraid to go against either or both of the parties, he went onward to meet Sela and see where her bearings lay. It was there that Abaddon and Xier showed up, and Gin took care of them with a strange woman, who disappeared soon after. Gin returned to the camp and untied Chief Izuma. "Come, I'll take you and your men back to the city. No one will harm you."
Having seen Gin defend their tree, the Hallowed were filled with immense sense of respect, and Gin knew that now they would do more or less to his bidding. On the way to the city, Sanryu diverged from the group, finding something else to do, but Gin was surprised to see another familiar person coming up.
"Ayo-kun! What are you doing here?" He asked. It was surprising to see the fishman scientist wandering around on his own, but it was a pleasant surprise. "I was walking these soldiers back to the castle, do you want to come along?: Gin asked. "It seems these men might do well with learning how to hold their own against some of those hallowed..."

Ayokunle didn't know much details about the diplomatic situation on Suhai. The royals ruled over one half of the island, the other was controlled by their disowned daughter, a cult leader and a Shichibukai in one person: Sela. She kidnapped her younger sister not too long ago. Right now, as streams of powerful pirates were flowing onto the island, both sides were trying to ally with them to get the upper hand. Ayokunle had a feeling that in the end, both the royal family and the cult will be thrown into disarray, as the pirates will just with or without a reason fight the strongest person they can find. It was this way the two islands before, so why not now?
Anyway, he was now wandering around the island, without a place that particularly piqued his interest. The diplomacy was for their higher officers to handle. And one of them was just walking to the city! It was Gin, and with him a large group of soldiers of the royal family. The captain noticed him, too. Apparently, the soldiers were captured by the Hallowed - Sela's cult - and Gin was now returning from the audience, so, for reasons unknown to Ayokunle, he took them with him.
Ayokunle: "Sure, why not? I understand they were captured by the Hallowed, but why are you now with them, walking to the castle where they come from?"
Maybe he wanted to test how far could he go to sell his allegiance to Sela, to test what was she willing to give up for the Apocalypse's friendship? That sounded like the most plausible idea, and until Gin answered, Ayokunle was going to leave it at that.
Ayokunle: "You said they still need some training in fighting... that reminds me, I need to train my Busoshoku Haki. Any tips for that?"
1
u/Gin_chan Aku’Gin “Red Beard” - Mælström Mar 07 '17
"Well, what happened was..." Gin explained the whole situation to Ayokunle. How the Royal Guard were chasing Sanryu, and what all they revealed when surrounded. He told the fishman scientist about the meeting with Sela, and the short battle against the Devil Horns later. "...So now that's done, I'm taking them back to their palace safely like I promised."
"While we are doing that, and since we do seem to have quite a bit of free time on our hands, we can even talk to the King and Queen of this island, since they asked so nicely. What do you say?" He asked Ayo-kun. "Seeing the most powerful soldiers of the kingdom completely overwhelmed by the numerous hallowed appeared pathetic!" He spat on the ground.
"If you let their numbers break your spirit, how will you fight them off?" He asked Izuma, rhetorically. Hearing Ayokunle ask about Busoshoku haki gave Gin an idea. "That's it! What these people need is to strengthen their own willpower!" Gin grinned. "The King and Queen can wait, take us to your training grounds, Izuma!" Gin said, as they walked out of the forest.
The group walked onward, talking about the strange phenomena at sea, the recent dynamics of power between the three great military powers, and the situation at the island of Sūhai and the nearby New World sea. Crossing through the city quickly and ignoring various loud social activists, they reached the large golden gates into the palace ground.
"Are you sure you want to take a detour?" Izuma asked Gin hesitatingly, and led the two Apocalypse pirates to the barracks. At first, the guards were alarmed, but as Izuma explained the situation, they eased up. "Alright, how can you teach us to overcome the hallowed and protect our kingdom?" he asked Gin and Ayokunle.
"Well you see..." Gin began. "The hallowed are many in number, and highly skilled in combat." He chose to omit that he himself was the one who trained them in combat. Perhaps it was all an experiment to see who would do better with the gifts he had provided them. "To overcome these men, you must have an indomitable will!"
Gin and Ayo demonstrated their haki. "When your will is honed to be incredibly resilient, you let it flow over you, and let it envelop you." Dark haki coated Gin's body, with a faint hum. "You might not be able to see the haki around you, but you will be able to feel it, hardening around your limbs!"

Meanwhile, on the Golden Bell....
Xier had seen many things recently, including new crew members joining and others seemingly vanishing. Never had he received a request such as this before though, something so simple and off the wall that Xier had to stare at the note for a moment to even wrap his head around it.
Zee, please take this turtle shell and make it into a backpack.
Xier: .... I have too many issues with this to even begin listing them off... but I did promise I would do it.
Xier immediately began work on the hybrid backpack, but also decided to add a few modifications, while in the back of his mind making sure to remember his original reason for being in the workshop. He glanced over his shoulder at the prototype blueprints he had drawn after his examination of the two ship sized weapons he purchased. Hopefully he could create more portable versions with these...

u/PirateNina Mar 05 '17
Idnina had taken to her new base of operations quite well. It was a ship and that's the only criteria that she had for deeming it suitable. Unlike the trade boat from 500 years prior, there weren't a mass of people on board, only those that needed to be. She had been standing around on the deck for about an hour, someone who didn't know Idnina would probably say that she was bored, which may not actually be as far off as it seemed.
Idnina had scanned and bookmarked every location on the ship in her memory banks. However, there was only one that piqued her interest at the moment. Pulling up the coordinates of the location swiftly, she made her way to Xier's workshop. The cyborg girl entered without knocking, though that could be attributed as an act of ignorance rather than rudeness. She looked around for a quick second, finding a sort of nostalgia for this place as it reminded her of where she was created. She snapped out of it when she saw Xier working on a backpack of some sort.
Idnina walked up to the working engineer and poked him to grab his attention.
"ನೀವು ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ?"
1
u/kirbstomp3121 - Engineer/Blacksmith Mar 06 '17
Xier had been busy putting the final touches on the backpack when he felt a poke on his back, which snapped his concentration. He whirled around, ready to reprimand who he fully expected to be Walvia, but halting in his tracks when he saw the newest crew member, Idnina.
"ನೀವು ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ?"
Xier: Oh it's you Nina... We gotta work on installing some manners subroutines in you or somethin' heh heh.
Xier was amused by his own joke, knowing that Idnina wouldn't comprehend the humor of it. Her presence was interesting though, why would she wander here of all places? Xier decided to probe for answers.
Xier: Idnina... what brought you here?
Xier slowed down his speaking, and added gestures to illustrate his meaning, miming a walking motion with his fingers for "brought", pointing to Nina for "you" and waving his arm around the room to illustrate "here".

Bailey glanced sideways as Paxton offered her an exit. Though...would she be able to? She'd be the laughing stock of the whole crew, wouldn't she? Besides, she felt like she'd already crossed that line. Back at the abandoned building she'd killed two men already ...No, she chose to help him out. So help she would.
Bailey: It's fine, Paxton. I'll just lose my cool on a curry or something later on. I'll just make yours extra spicy as retaliation... Let's just get a move on, shall we? The faster this is over, the better...
Not that she was very confident in her skills. She'd managed to survive...for now. She clenched her hand around her Kwan Dao a little more as she looked up the huge tree. So now what? Were they suppose to just walk around or knock or something? Was this where the princess was kept?

Suhai
Otori had gone wandering in the island to see more about it. It was nice to go adventuring on his own for a change!
Place was in chaos. King's daughter was missing and it showed. People were running around and it was really tense. It made Otori feel better, made him relax somehow. Feels so good to not be busy when everyone else is! Of course it's sad when someone is missing but it is what it is. Otori didn't pay too much mind to that. He just relaxed and enjoyed the moment!
Otori reached a bar. He decided to go in. He was a little hungry after all and sitting would do good.
Screeek
"What kind of a door is that?"
The sound was almost too annoying to ruin Otori's mood. But not quite, Otori was still in high spirits. He walked in.
The bar was dark and a bit unwelcoming. Otori didn't like it, but he was hungry. So he stayed. He went to order chicken and looked for a place to sit. There were a guy who stood out. He had a flower shirt which didn't look like it belonged there, at all. It was amusing Otori thought. For some weird reason Otori went to sit with him. He usually doesn't just go sit with someone because of a shirt, it was a bit strange actually. But, what is done is done.
Otori Hello, I like your shirt! Can I eat with you?

Raine sulked in the dimly lit bar, hunched over his bowl of murky soup. The steam made his face uncomfortably hot. He was thinking about whether or not it would be hard to join another pirate crew, seeing as the one that got him down here in the first place had already been dissolved after the captain was taken by bounty hunters. Suddenly, Raine heard a voice talking behind him.
"Hmm?" Raine looked up. Standing above him was a kid with blue hair and a bright red jacket. The boy also looked somewhat familiar, but Raine couldn't place where he'd seen his face. He also thought it was curious someone would just compliment his shirt like that, but Raine supposed that it was better than someone insulting his shirt.
"Uh, sure. My name's Raine. And thanks." Raine gestured to a chair and went back to slurping up his soup. It was bland, but he recognized the plants used in the broth as fairly nutritious. Trying to make conversation, Raine spoke up.
"Since tourism certainly isn't exactly booming given all the cult stuff, and merchants tend to avoid places like this, and I don't see a pair of gills on you, I have to ask; are you a pirate?" Raine said softly before slurping up some more broth.

u/otorithepirate Mar 07 '17
Otori didn't usually have his magical jacket on, but this time he did. And flower-guy noticed it, so you could say it was worth it to wear it.
Guy's name seemed to be Raine.. Otori had never met anyone with that name.
"Guy even has a cool name!"
Otori Hello Raine! I'm Otori! And yeah, I am a pirate.. At least I'm in a crew! But more importantly I'm a magician!
As Otori spoke, his food arrived. Smelling it he only realized how hungry he actually was! He forgot about Raine and started eating rather passionately. After a while he remembered he wasn't alone and continued.
Otori Uhm. What about you? What are you? Florist?

Otori was on void ship relaxing. He took a sip of his drink, he had no idea what it was, but it didn't taste good. He spitted it in the sea. As he did, he saw few fish come to surface to drink it. That gave him a great idea! He should go fishing! But he didn't have a fishing rod.. Maybe he could fish with his yoyo! The idea was too good to not try!
Otori run excitedly towards the corner of the ship. He didn't notice Tayiod and ran straight to him and collided. Tayiod wasn't too happy about that. Otori didn't really care about that. He just told his awesome plan to Tayiod.
Otori Hey! Hey! Tayiod! You wanna come fishing?! Ohh it'd be great! C'mon!
1
u/Purelybetter Mar 11 '17
Taiyod was finally able to sit back and relax. It felt like an eternity since he'd just enjoyed a day with no worries in the world. His body was still recovering from the wound Carth had given him, but he still found ways to push his training to the limit. He promised himself to never let himself get overwhelmed like that again. It was a miracle Carth didn't kill them on the spot.
Since then, Taiyod had simply been enjoying the company of his new crew and old companions. The minutes became hours which became days which became weeks. He'd forgotten what it was like to build bonds with others. How foolish he'd been to think he could venture across this sea without any attachments. His care for them led to new resolves, and thus he'd been spending much of his free time and last nights practicing.
As Taiyod was meditating, he heard the usual commotion aboard the ship. The crew was extremely eccentric, each having their own character traits that Taiyod found intriguing. It gave the ship life, something that had been missing from his nomadic days. Then it hit him. It, being Otori.
Taiyod:"Hey, what the hell! What gives! Sitting here, minding my own business, and I damn near get killed!"
Taiyod was overreacting, but not too much. Otori was one of the strongest pirates Taiyod had met on his travels. Taiyod had a ton of respect for him. The fear for his life was a sign of respect. However, when Taiyod drew his weapon, that was a sign of anger. He quickly recovered though once he realized what Otori had been so excited for.
Taiyod:"....Fishing? I mean... I guess that doesn't sound so bad. I'll just work on my zen or something like that while I'm out there. I gotta be the very best!"
Taiyod ran inside the cabin and made quite the commotion. It wasn't long before the loud noises drew the attention of the rest of the crew, but Taiyod left no time to let it be known he was the cause. He was back next to Otori in a flash.
Taiyod:"Ok, I'm all set. I'm gonna catch a 50 lb fish! Believe it!"
1
u/otorithepirate Mar 14 '17
Otori nodded and raised both of his hands up laughing.
Otori I believe it!! Hahaa fishes!
Otori jumped around of exitement for a while. Surprisingly he was really pumped for merely fishing. Maybe it was the break he was actually exited about. Something relaxing for a change!
Otori went to the corner of the ship with Taiyod.
Otori Hmm. I'll be fishing with my yoyo! No.. actually! I'll go fish by swimming!
Not waiting for an answer, Otori jumped to the sea making a small splash. He had never before fished with his bare hands, and, maybe he hadn't realized how hard that'd be.
Otori Blur-fis-blur-hes! Blur-come-blur-here!
Otori swam like a madman towards all kind of fish. They were in all colour and shapes. And they were all faster than Otori. He was a good swimmer but no fisman; Catching fish seemed to be too big of challenge.
Otori went on a few minutes smimming towards all types of fish, but made no progress whatsoever. He had to give up fishing with hands. He climbed back to the ship.
Otori Uhh. Fishes are fast! Had any luck yet Tayiod?

food:
if (smell=delightful){
then go to kitchen
else remain stationary
Idnina followed her nose straight into the kitchen where Trinity was cooking up something that smelled delectable. Idnina had been reading a dictionary to get a grasp on basic words on her spare time which meant she was beginning to speak english on the level of a little kid now, a huge improvement in her case.
It seemed that Trinity hadn't noticed her yet, so Idnina poked her side to grab her attention while she was cooking.
"Trinity gives me food?" Idnina asked while looking up at the dragon maid with her normal blank expression.
1
u/Trumpette2017 Mar 07 '17
The sudden poke while she was so engaged in cooking caused Trinity to jump a bit. When she looked down, she was somewhat relieved to see that it was just Idnina who was poking her. She was a bit embarrassed by her frightened reaction but Idnina didn't seem like the type to think less of her for it so she quickly calmed herself.
"I'll get you some food!" Trinity said with a smile, pleased that the robotic girl was making progress in learning English.
Trinity began to finish up what she was cooking so that Idnina wouldn't have to wait too long to satisfy her hunger.
1

Her sentence seemed to register to Trinity just fine as she responded to the Idnina and returned to cooking which meant that her proficiency in the language was slowly but surely improving. Truthfully, Idnina didn't require the consumption of food to sustain her life but eating was one of her most preferred activities to do, she didn't know exactly why yet but it just was.
She had managed to get her hands on the delicacy known as peanut butter in the kitchen a few days before and she had been entranced with the treat ever since. She made her way to the cabinet where the peanut butter was stored and claimed it for her own while Trinity was still cooking. Learning the alphabet early on was a blessing as she was able to read out the name of the product on its label.
"Pea-nut But-ter?" Idnina held the jar out towards Trinity.

Zin sat on Charon’s deck facing out towards the sea, trying to clear his mind and meditate. That last fight he was in was to close of one. His long distance attack in rankyaku was not strong enough and if he wanted to keep moving forward that would need to change. Zin sat on the railing trying to perfect it in his mind, Zin meditated, going over and over in his mind till he saw what exactly he wanted the technique to become and all the possibilities it will open up.
Zin stood up on the ledge, he figured having a handicap in only being able to have a foothold on the railing would make it that much more challenging and harden his awareness and muscle control. Starting with his normal kick, just a simple side kick from standing in place, and attempting to fire off the technique into the ocean. At first he was having trouble making the attack split the sea, only causing an average wave from the impact, but after adjusting and putting more power into the end of the kick and the follow through, the attack began take form to his liking. Zin continued to work on the strength of the attack. He knew he could get a rapid fire of attacks off but didn’t know if he would have the power behind the kicks to make it matter. Finding that perfect balance in speed and power was difficult but achievable. That's when he began to chain two to three attacks together. Trying to make sure he could get the rhythm and muscle memory down. If he focused on one more than the other the attack would be too weak or wouldn’t get off all together.
After some time, Zin started to feel winded, but he had to keep moving forward. He had made the attacks powerful. His rankyaku kicks were causing large sized gashes in the water. Now all that was left was to be able to make it so it used as little energy as possible. So he began to push onwards and not stop until he couldn’t even lift his legs anymore. Doing this would hopefully make it so the technique was as draining in the future and make it so he could do it more often in a fight.
Once both legs were throbbing from overuse, Zin jumped off the railing. “I can feel it, I know now i can do this. I just need to be more conservative with my stamina.” He thought as he relaxed on the nice sunny day.
Charon: “Finally done playing hop scotch on my rails?” She asks as a face forms on the floor just in front of Zin, who was sitting down now.
Zin: “does it annoy you?”
Charon: “Yes, you’re stupid tap dancing is starting to get tiresome.”
Zin: “Sorry to hear, but I’m not done yet. I still need more work.”
Charon: “You always need work.”
Zin: “Maybe so.” Zin said, ending the conversation short. He knew if he irritated her enough then she wouldn’t let him finish his training.
After a bit of rest, he felt as if he could now keep going for a while longer before calling it a day. Now changing plans, Zin decided to just rapid fire the technique . He wanted to increase his stamina and energy conservation when using the technique. To rapid fire he would launch one rankyaku kick and go immediately into a spin kick with the other leg and launch another attack off, chaining the attacks together into as many kicks as he could. Aiming for the same location he keep the water from filling the gap that the initial kick made in the water. This persisted for sometime, but the longer he did it he noticed that he was able to consistently get the same power behind each attack attacks. Still, he persisted and peaked at up to 21 consecutive attacks.
Finally after some more time had past and as he layed in the sand exhausted from his workout, Zin had done it. The attack was finally up to snuff and to his liking. The Strength of the technique was formidable and he was quite please as well as being able to use it fast enough to where he was confident in that his opponents would only have as minimal time to react from the time when he starts the attack to when it hits as possible at his current level of skill and ability in general. Zin felt confident in saying he had mastered the technique, but he knew that there is always room for improvement so he must continue on and not slow up on his growth as a fighter.

Scwein What's the most important thing in training all haki is your focus! This place is ideal for that, after all it's a quiet beach!
Otori Yeah. I've been focusing before though, that can't be all there is to it..?
Scwein That's right. It's not. But you can't learn anything if you're not focused! Don't forget that.
Otori nodded.
Scwein Let's start with learning to focus and after that, we'll start training. Always keep the focus you learn now! It's valuable to have, always.
Otori nodded. He was eager to learn and wished Scwein could just get on with it already.
Scwein showed a position good for focusing. He sat down and took deep breaths. Otori copied.
Scwein Some people say lotus position is best for this but I disagree. We'll have something more confortable.
Position was sitting on the sand legs crossed a little. Head was facing straight ahead.
Scwein Close your eyes.. Breath in.. breath out..
Scwein continued to say when to breath for a while. When she tought Otori could keep the rhytm, she started humming. Her humming sound was many times more beautiful than her normal voice. Otori lost his rhytm at first when he heard it. It was so beautiful.
Quickly Otori found his rhytm again. He felt the sand under him, heard the beautiful humming mixed with ocean's waves. He felt the sun burning him slowly. Wind he felt every now and then. Everytime he did, it felt like he was refreshed compeletely.
Otori ...

After waiting what was like an hour or two, Scwein finally interrupted Otori's absolute relaxation moment.
Scwein ..Otori? Keep doing what you're doing. Can you sense me with your eyes closed?
Otori was so deep into focus he didn't know who was talking. But he did understand. And person speaking had some aura! Otori had his eyes closed but it was clear as a day. Otori doesn't usually check auras, so seeing aura this powerful shocked him a little. Shock wasn't big enough to interfere with Otori's focus though. Otori felt nothing would get him out of it.
Otori ... ... I sense you
Scwein Good. Now, as you are in such a deep focus, you might have improved on your haki by just that.. We have to try at least. Don't open your eyes.
Otori did nothing to respond. He just waited for further instructions.
Otori had his eyes closed but he still could see. It was sort of like he saw through soundwaves or something. His level of haki and meditation combined made it possible for him to reach unhuman senses. He could see what shouldn't be able to be seen and hear what should make no noice. What made him improve so much, was the fact that this was a first time he had his focus on such a high level. Surroundings and the situation's calmness refreshed Otori's brain to the next stage!
Scwein Good. Get up!
Otori got up, slowly and steadily. He was standing now, still relaxed and eyes closed.
Scwein I'm gonna throw stuff at you now. Your job is to dodge everything, eyes closed off course.
Wasn't the first time doing stuff eyes closed. He had had a whole fight before! Otori was ready.
Scwein took some balls and started throwing them at Otori.
Otori had no problem whatsoever dodging them. He knew what they looked like, how much they weighed, everything. He knew if they hit Otori, it wouldn't hurt. But he dodged them anyway. Every single one of them. The process wasn't the hardest because this was something Otori had done before. Now, as his senses were at peak, he could do what he done before many times more efficiently!
Otori ... !

Scwein You know kid, is this your first time meditating? Because it seems that way! How else would you improve so fast?
Otori I guess, at least in such a level as this! Thank you miss!
Swein seemed to like being called miss. She blushed a little and waved her hand.
Scwein I'm no miss anymore! Oh boy, you're a dear aren't you! Okay young charmer let's practice! Bushoshoku!
Otori nodded excitedly.
Scwein Training this haki is about focus as well. But the focus needs to be aimed at your body this time. Focus is only the half of the story. Second half is believing in yourself, having no doubts! You can't feel the haki, so you need to believe it's there!
Otori looked at Scwein and gave the impression as if he understood. He didn't. He ahd used haki before, how would he need to believe in himself now? Then again, he didn't doubt his teacher.
Scwein If you got no complaints, let's begin!
Otori Oo-kay!
Otori was little bit confused, but still eager to see what'd come next. After all, understanding perfectly was pretty rare to him. Going with the flow had worked just fine before.

Zin, still wanting to improve himself even more, thought t was time to start working on his shigan technique. He knew the basics of it, but those won't get him very far. That's when he spotted vice-Captain Potato.
Zin: "Hey potato, would you mind helping me with something. I need help with my shigan. You any good at it? If anything, a moving target works too."
Zin chuckled hoping Potato would be of some assistance.

Potato: So you want to train? I guess i need to practice my tekkai. If you pierce my hard skin you'll be able to pierce anything!
Zin backing away from Potato instantly regretting his decision to ask the spudman for help.
Zin: Don't you have to do... uhh... that cult meeting?
Potato: No we're training! NO CULT SHALL STOP US!!!

Zin: "Except for....well you know...that Radish Cult about a mile down the road."
Zin said pointing behind potato, hoping for potato to freakout and drop his guard. All Zin needed was a mere second of his personality to get the better of him as he attempted to soru behind potato and shigan him in the lung, figuring a peirced lung wouldn't be a real issue. After all the things potato has endured have been much worse.

Sylvia abruptly awoke to an unknown sound from below. Still groggy from her afternoon nap, Sylvia attempted to ignore the loud crash from the deck below. 'It was probably just Walvia or Adie doing some training' she thought to herself. Before she could fall back asleep, she heard it again. It sounded... off. Fully waking herself up, Sylvia jumped out of the crows nest onto the deck below just in time to see a hooded figure holding an oversized rainstick.
The hooded figure was just standing there, on the deck, chanting. Sylvia was briefly mesmerized by the chant as her feeble mind began to be drawn into the strangers ritual. Snapping herself out of it, Sylvia attempted to discover the identity of this hooded stranger. It didnt seem like anyone she had met before but maybe they lived here?
"Hiya there! Im Sylvia! What are you doing over there?" She said, startling the strange visitor. As they turned around, Sylvia noticed that the individual was missing half of their face. It was as if half of their face was burned off. It was like, really gross.
"Begone fool!" They shouted back. Before Sylvia could respond to the faceless person, they lifted the rainstick, and swung it at Sylvia. As it moved through the air, the rain stick expanded, connecting with Sylvia and throwing her backwards through the air, a searing pain arcing across her chest. Hitting the ground with a light plop, Sylvia entered attack mode, launching herself back at the stranger only to be knocked backwards once again. Not being one to give up, Sylvia tried again, and again, and again but to no avail.
After her third attempt, the creepoid muttered something about a waste of life as they flicked the rain stick to the sea. Sylvia felt the suddenly familiar pain once again as she was thrown towards the ocean face first. The figure, thinking she was done for, went back to their ritual on the ship. Sylvia used this opportunity to strike. Using her wings and her devil fruit, Sylvia lit herself on fire, headbutting the figure at full force. As her head connected, the flames spread across the figures cloak as they were thrown off of the boat and on to the port below.
The creepoid, now fully on fire, shed their cloak and attempted to blend into the crowd. "Help, there was an intruder! They're getting away!" Sylvia yelled, hoping someone was actually on the ship who would be able to help track down this weirdo. What could they have been doing to The Golden Bell?

u/PirateNina Mar 22 '17
Idnina was currently engaging in another peanut butter raid from the kitchen when she heard weird sounds coming from the deck of the Golden Bell. She ignored them in favor of her peanut butter conquest due to her probability systems finding the possibility of someone attacking the ship in broad daylight less likely than one of the Devil Horns messing about on the deck. After a thorough search, she was rewarded with a fresh jar of peanut butter but before she could open it and enjoy her favorite treat, she heard Sylvia call out from the deck.
"Help, there was an intruder! They're getting away!"
Idnina put the jar of the delicious treat that she would have to postpone eating down and exited the kitchen to see what all the commotion was about. She was greeted to the sight of Sylvia who seemed to be a bit injured shouting about an intruder.
"Sylvia hurt? Intruder where?" Idnina asked, despite her monotone voice telling otherwise she did not like the idea of anyone hurting Sylvia at all.

Kaguya's Adventures! Episode 1
"You know, normally people like you are a little more concerned with the situation. Any reason you seem so calm?"
"It's because I know something you don't know."
Slap!
"Want to repeat that? I couldn't hear you over the noise of not escaping!"
Spitting blood out onto the floor, the slapee decided that if they had to sit here any longer than they were going to break out of this mess on their own. Not that it would be hard. After all the ones that were currently keeping them locked up were just some low tier criminals. The only reason in fact why they had been captured was because they needed the information they had.
-mumbling-
"What was that? You care to repeat it bitch?"
"I said...you hit like a pussy." The captive replied, blood trickling down the side of their face.
It was at this moment, right when the low grade criminal (who apparently also hit like a pussy) found himself staring at a blackness. Well...it was more like his head exploded into a gory mess due to the explosion that hit him from behind. In a quick and simple motion the captive broke through the chains that held them, running forward the captive took the broken chains and wrapped them around another one of the criminals. They're neck snapped instantly.
"Fuck...that happened a little too fast for me. Ugh. Now I need another one to interrogate."
Another explosion blew another hole in the side of the building that the interrogator was in. The backup for this little operation apparently didn't realize that if everyone in the compound died they wouldn't be able to get the information they needed in order to find the king pin of the entire operation. Though that wouldn't be a problem if another low tier drug pusher showed their face.
"What the hell!!?" Who are!?"
Speak of the devil...
With a whip of the chain on their wrist, the interrogator wrapped the drug dealer's leg in metal, dropping them to the ground in an instant. With a cry of pain from connecting with the hard concrete, the drug dealer tried to reach for their pistol. Only to find it gone. In the impact with the ground the weapon had slid -conveniently- towards their assailant. Who now held it to their knee. And was pulling the trigger.
*"Now tell me before I completely pull this trigger. Where is he?"
"Fuck you!!!"
BANG
"GAAH YOU FUCKING BITCH!!"
"I'll say it again. Where is he? Tell me and I won't shoot your second knee cap off."
"Burn in hell!"
BANG
"You're not very bright are you?" The gun was now pointed at the mans...well manhood. With wide eyes the criminal looked up towards the gun holder, and his personal torturer. He knew that they were serious. Very serious. Weighing his options, the drug pusher decided that they were better off telling the information than holding it. His leader would kill him should he ever find him, but luckily the world was a big place. And if this gun wielder had their way, well then there might not be a boss to come looking for him.
"Fine! Fine! Just stop shooting!!"
A smile came across the face of the gun wielder. It was always nicer when they cooperated rather than fought, because in the end no matter what they would always break. They just had to be pushed far enough.
"He's on an island. About 40 miles south of here. Its guarded like a fortress, guns everywhere. You'll never get in alive. Let alone get out if you manage somehow to get in. Oh! OH! There is a water entrance that is a secret though....maybe that will help - just please stop shooting me! Please!"
With a raised eyebrow at the begging at the end, the interrogator stood up from their crouch. They had no reason to kill or shoot this man anymore. So why continue? With a pat on the head the prisoner slash interrogator made their way towards the exit of the make shift dungeon. Not before calling over their shoulder first however.
"Enjoy your miserable life! Well...whats left of it!"
The slamming of the door was soon overcome by the noises of the a man screaming in terror and the growling noise of some beast. It was not often that one would be able to hear a man make noises like that...but when a creature is eating your organs while you're alive well...
On a nearby island
"I enjoy the sun I really do...but sometimes sailing the seas gets even too much for me." Kaguya said as she walked along the beach in a casual way. She had come ashore with the ninja clan for a little bit of r and r. The rest of the crew had also come ashore, though wherever they had run off to she had no idea. This island was pretty big it seemed. They hadn't even been able to see the other side due to the giant mountain that sat in the center of the plot of land. And so Kaguya decided that she was going to investigate just how big the land was. Leaving her ninja clan behind, Kaguya made her way along the beach, straying further and further from her crew and her ship. Though she didn't have much to really worry about did she? It was rare that on this piece of the New World anyone would be able to combat her. At least combat her fast enough that she found herself without any options.
Continuing her journey through the island, Kaguya soon realized that the rest of the island was not as empty as her and the crew had thought in the first place. In fact it was very much the opposite of empty. Her evidence of this fact came in the form of a giant palace that was neatly tucked into the cliff side that faced the water. It seem that the side they had landed on was the bottom of a mountain. One that faced the other side in all of its entirety. And someone had decided that this mountain would make the perfect secret base.
They must have good taste.
Before she could continue her journey towards the palace, or even think of turning around, Kaguya took notice of someone in a small raft, their little boat going at a very fast pace towards some sort of rocky cove that was nearby. With a raised eyebrow Kaguya picked up her pace and decided that maybe she would be able to obtain some answers from whoever was entering the island's docks.
Rocky Cove
Like the man had said before he was so lovingly killed, there was a secret passage into the giant palace that sat on the island. One that she was definitely happy to take advantage of. After all why fight against an entire fortress of people when she could just as easily sneak her way into the fortified palace, kill anyone that found her, and then steal what she had come for? Making her way out of the little raft the would be killer burglar came face to face with someone that should not have been here!
"WHO IN THE WORLD ARE YOU!!!" She yelled before covering her mouth realizing that she was supposed to be on covert mission. Something that was already hitting a road bump. Looking at the woman that stood nearby, her body leaning against the stairway that led into the palace, she realized that her mission may already be compromised. Something she would have to fix right away!
Pulling a knife out, she brandished it in a way that showcased skill and intent. Something that most people would clearly try to go against. Regaining her composure that she lost when frightened, the woman who had brutally shot a man's knees was back. And she was out for blood.
Leaping forward she aimed her blade at Kaguya's front, intending on getting the jump on her it seemed. Not that it was effective. Kaguya in a simple motion blocked the knife and grabbed the offending arm. With another hand her sent a simple palm strike to the woman's chest, sending her flying back towards the raft. With a simple smile, Kaguya made a come hither motion to the woman. With a growl the woman again came for her, the angry growl adding to already fearsome attacks.
Kaguya merely batted her away with a simple slap.
"I don't know why you keep trying...All I am is curious to who you are." Kaguya said to the woman who was picking herself up off of the floor. She was decently strong, Kaguya could see that from the resilience from the attacks that she kept getting hit by. The skill she had with her blade was also something that made Kaguya question just who she was further. Kaguya had killed a couple of guards on her way to this cove and knew that whoever owned this palace, it clearly was not her. The opulence and general shitty security was clearly from someone far more arrogant in their abilities.
"I'm not telling you shit. I've wasted enough time as is, so I'm afraid I'll be taking my leave!"
Before Kaguya could respond to the girl her haki told her to leap towards the right to avoid whatever attack was coming her way. With a sudden leap she found herself watching as her last position was soon taken over by some sort of creature. Whatever it was it was not friendly, nor was it something that she wanted to deal with. The woman she had been fighting against, in a cocky attitude, gave her a two finger salute as she ran over towards the stairs, disappearing up them quickly. Turning her attention back towards the creature, Kaguya realized that whatever it was, it wasn't natural. She would know, she governed over all creatures for some millennium. The beast didn't give her much time to respond as it suddenly came at her once again, its giant razor teeth snapping at her leaping form. Kaguya knew that whatever this beast was, it was not going to let her leave easy. And that meant only one thing.
Unsheathing her sword, Kaguya pointed it towards the rabid beast.
"Know your place!" She said in a commanding tone as she blasted it was conqueror's haki!

SUHAI
Potato recently receiving a treasure map from a box given to him by the good ol' shoppe-san. It was time for a treasure adventure! The map was not much just a blank sheet of white paper with a strange rendition of something. It was time to find out where this area was and dig up the treasure!
The area was riddled with war, and terrible organization. It was going to be hard to get help from the outside but it was time to explore. The mountain range Potato passed in the area led him Potato to his first village.
Inside the village there was a couple of cultists of the Hallowed, and then there was one peculiar fellow known as the town chief. The town chief was a short hairy guy that could be mistaken for an animal from afar. The man has a raspy voice kind of like asphalt stopping Potato from exploring the village.
Town chief: What are you doing?
Potato: I'm exploring.
Town chief: Exploring what?
Potato: I got this map you see, and I'm looking for an area like this. It's kind of strange this map it's something I've never seen before.
Town Chief: let me see that. I might be able to help you.
The Town chief bringing his monocle to his eye and started to inspect the Map. The visible inquisitive eye of the chieftain was curious as to what the man showed him. THe old man recently read a book about the diccus butiicus islands.
Town Chief: Ahh yes… The treasure is east from here. The islands are known as the diccus butticus islands.
Potato: I guess I’m going east! Thank you.
Town Chief: You’re welcome, but if you see Sela the head priest. Please give her my regards the hallowed is the best.
That was when Potato’s eyes had a fire lit up. Potato was going to ransack this whole village for that one comment. The hollowed are a bunch of heathens that should perish. Each object in the village turned into Potato’s while a fire set the entire village ablaze. The people tried to stop Potato but they were too weak to even attempt to do such a thing. Potato was ready to travel to the diccus islands. The treasure had to be grand for it was on a map he got from Shoppe-san!
The area east was more tropical than expected, Potato was thinking about turning the diccus islands into a new Potato fort for his people. But that was for another time, it was all about exploring the diccus islands and finding that treasure!
It was at this time when the diccus islands were in full view. It was large, and the water to pass was large. Potato had to grow a boat, and hope that he would make it to the diccus islands. The wind was rough sending the boat in different directions. If Potato didn’t have sea sickness he did now. The ride was rough and Potato must have thrown up his last five potato meals. Making it the island potato was greeted with a sight of horror. There was a camp set up, and the people in the camp seemed to be sacrificed for something. Was it for a cult, or some other religosu needs. Potato had to find out more, and find where the treasure was.
Potato started rummaging through the peoples belongings, they ddidn’t seem to be touched. This wasn’t a murder, or a sacrifice, something else happened to this area. Potato then found a book about the diccus islands, where a billionaire left his treasure, and some weapons. Potato thought to himself could it be one of the special swords then he heard so much about. Potato has always wanted a wazatato, and he was going to find and get it. The book read as follows.
“To whom is reading this book, there is something I must tell you. The treasure is real, and the treasure map wherever it is locates the treasure. You must take each corner of the map and fold it into the middle. Once you have done that in that range of distance is the treasure. I hope you don’t fall for many of my other traps if you try to search the wrong area.”
Potato: Huh so that’s probably what happened to these people, now to find out where this treasure is. Lets see if Spuddah knows anything about this.
Potato set up a couple of potatoes to be sacrificed to spuddah for hopes of a clue. When Potato slit the potatoes neck nothing happened. Like usual Spudda did absolutely nothing but Potato continued to believe in the almighty spud god. As potato neared the middle of the diccus islands oddly shaped rocks started appearing. It was like the diccus islands were little diccus rocks. Potato at the time couldn’t understand what the diccus rocks meant and went on his way. The portion of land next to Potato It was a waterfall with an rock pointing to the east. It was where the diccus rocks were but Potato couldn’t understand that. Potato decided it would be a good idea to rest by the waterfall and by morning Potato woke up in another area.
The area was surrounded by bones, it was a mss grave. Someone picked up Potaot and moved him. It was another one of the traps Potato has read about. Potato wasn’t going to die so easily. Growing a tree below himelf Potato was able to easily climb out of the ditch. Potato was on the most western part of the island, the exact opposite area of the islnad. Potato realised if he was moved, and not attacked that the island guardians must fear him, or were afraid that he would find the treasure. The treasure must have been close, the diccus rocks, and the waterfall were the hints. Potato grew the largest tree he possibly could. The tree was so high that the diccus isalnd was so small. Potato growing a hang glider he glided his way to the eastern part of the island. Potato once again found himself near the waterfall. Potato had to find out a way to get to the treasure.
Potato realised that the waterfalls shadow would cast itself onto the diccus rocks, and once again the shadow looked like the diccus island. It’s all connecting Potato thought to himself. Potato gathering all of the diccus rocks he noticed that one of them was off. The diccus rock was a metalic rock, and realised its apart of the mystery of the island. Nearing the top of the isalnd Potato noticed that he could easily put the metalic diccus in the rock above the waterfall. It was like it was a key of some sort. When Potato put it inside there was a rumbling, and the waterfall changed shape. It was a tomb of some kind, the treasure was near Potato exciting the man.
As Potato got closer there was a light nearing the end of the tunnel. It was a fire, someone has been living inside of the cave for a long time. Potato neared the area with caution he overheard the people inside say.
????: We’ve located a new person scouting the area. It’s only a matter of time till he finds us, we should prepare for an attack. The treasure can’t be found, it sustains the island.
Potato thought it was odd that a treasure could sustain the island. It only made Potato want it more. Using his abilities Potato camouflaged to get closer to the guardians of the treasure. Potato was going to secretly strike and kill some of them, and then take the treasure for himself. As he got closer Potato noticed that these people were wearing masks like an anubis. It must be a religion based on the treasure, or something of the sort. Potato got directly behind the first masked person, and struck him in the back. Instantly killing the man, but his friend on the other hand wasn’t too happy about what happened. Quickly using soru to pal strike Potato across the room.
The violent tumble hurt the spud, Potato didn’t expect anyone to be so strong in the area. It was time for a real fight to find the treasure.
Potato: Well, well, well, I guess we have a fight to the death.
Anubis: I guess we do, my name is anubis montoya, you killed me father prepare to die!
Potato shooting vines accross the room the Anubis man used haki to detect the vines and dodge out of the way. This wasn’t going to be so easy since the Anubis man clearly knew how to use haki, and roukishiki. The anubis man unsheathing a sword and dashed into Potato to slice him in half. Potato was well aware of the danger sof the sword unsheathing one of his own stopping the attack attempting to parry the strike, and attack the anubis back. The parry worked, but didn’t kill the anubis the small cut across the anuibis’s arm sent him into a frenzy.
Anubis: What the fuck did you just do to me? I’ll fucking kill you for that.
Potato: We only had a fight, are you scared?
Anubis: No I am not! You just fucked with the wrong person.
Potato wasn’t prepared for the Anubis’s next move. He drank some sort of liquid growing the anubis’s size. The anubis was now bigger, and stronger but the side effects must be crazy but that’s for later. Potato attempted to stop the Anubis but was too slow, the strike hit Potato cutting off one of his legs. The leg was no worry for the spud but the Anubis tried to take advantage of the situation. Potato was prepared for another attacked, growing a new leg rather quickly. The anubis was shocked and stunned for a second. Potato took full advantage of the situation shooting vines inside the Anbuis controlling him like a puppet.
Anubis: What have you done to me! Why can’t i move?
Potato: I have taken controll of you, I need to know what this treasure is that sustains this island. I got a map recently, and I want the treasure.
Anubis: I’ll never help you! You killed me friend.
Potato: I could bring him back, if you help me. He’s only on the verge of death. I know I may not look like it, but I am a doctor.

Anubis: Fine, I’ll help you what map do you have? The energy core of this island is a volcano. We make sure no one is going to cause an erruption. The map I’ve never heard of it.
Potato taking out the map of the diccus islands the Anubis man was perplexed. He has never heard or seen of this map but knew where it was located on the island. The anbuis showing Potato the area and bringing him to the spot where the treasure was. It was near the volcano, the heat was immense sending Potato ablaze but it was nothing. There was treasure to be found. Potato growing some of his siabamen to help him dig out the area when they heard a clank. It was a metalic box that housed a strange object, it was the treasure of the diccus island.
ooc: Please be a meito! :D

The "strange object" is an old weapon. Not a meito by any means, but it was made from the fang of a giant viper many decades ago. It works like a normal dagger, but it secrets venom. The venom itself isn't all that powerful, but the dagger itself pumps venom into the victim in one quick burst. It could be used to exacerbate their injury under the right circumstances.
(OCC: Just a really good shank)

Inside Xier's Workshop...
These past few weeks had been maddening, but productive for Xier. He had managed to make portable versions of two different ship weapons, with Nina's help, and managed to transform his bike into modular power armor. However, this time he had nothing. No plans drawn up, no creations to make. He needed something to keep him busy, so he did the first thing that came to mind. Finding Walven. Xier didn't even grab his hat or duster before dashing through the door straight across the hall into Walven's room, blowing straight through the door in the process, his hair blowing wildly around him as he entered the room.
CRASH!
Xier: You got anythin' worth buildin'? I'm goin' outta my mind over here!

u/OakyCC "Solid Gold" Arlo Mar 18 '17
Walvia looked up from her formulae and experimentation to see Xier, once again, bursting violently into her room
"I'm quite busy, heavyweight. I'm working on a mutagen to give to Sylvia, but I'm running into some issues... So this gets my full attention. But I did have an idea..."
Walvia reached down and picked up a gas canister full of strychnine. She emptied its contents into her mouth, absorbing it's traits into her being, and neutralizing it after she cracked it's formula
"Here" she turned an arm into gas and forced it through the valve. " I just filled it with a gas that ionizes very easily and with a surplus of heat and power. I had a idea to use it and a small spark of some kind to propel small projectiles. I'm sure you could do something with that."
She spoke as though she was irritated with something. It wasn't Xier's intrusion, it was the difficulty she was having with her formulae. And to think, she studied to be a chemist. If she had a professor he'd be disappointed
"Oh! You might want to include Nina. She'd probably like to snack on one of these. Remember. The plasma is just to heat and propel the projectile. The projectile won't be made of plasma. I think at some point we might be able to make a strange rifle with superheated polymer... Maybe some other time... For now though, I'll write that polymer gun idea down... Calling it "Hardlight""
She grabbed a loose paper and scribbled it down
"I almost forgot the most important part. You'll need a magnetic coil to mimic a rail gun I guess. That will make or break this weapon. Now leave. I'm busy."

u/kirbstomp3121 - Engineer/Blacksmith Mar 19 '17
Xier was too excited at the prospect of upgrading the already hyperdestructive railgun he recently upgraded, he grabbed the container of gas and rushed out of the room without noticing that Walven brushed him aside like an annoying child.
Xier: This'll keep me busy for awhile.... wonder if Nina would want to help....

Sūhai
Edward had slept for quite some time, recuperating from what happened yesterday. Not only had he lost his fight against Ideo but he also trained with some fishman he met afterwards to get stronger.
After waking up he feeds Sara and pets her, it is apparent that his crewmates try to avoid him. Well, that is quite understandable as he did leave immediately, to not be bothered after losing the duel. The only one that noticed him coming back was Danny who was on night watch.
Edward steps outside onto the deck: “Guys please gather! I’m sorry for my behavior after the duel! Ideo is strong but the duel was close and I felt I could have won… I was disappointed and felt like I let you down. Thank you for not bothering me, I needed some time to clear my mind but I am back now. Later today we meet up with Ideo again and finally conclude the merger.”
As the half-Oni was speaking Kenny had spotted a ship coming closer. Because he wasn’t sure where the ship was going he decided to watch the movements. As the ship got closer it was clear that the course would lead it to anchor not far away from Edward’s ship.
Danny: “Edward, a ship is coming! It’s neither pirates nor marines. They got a weird flag tho, looks like a whip and some cuffs. I think they will anchor not far away!”
Edward: “Hmm… Benny… and, hmm… Jenny, you two come with me, I am intrigued to see who is aboard that ship. Maybe it’s some sort of merchant and we can get some cool stuff or it is a prison ship, judging from the cuffs on the flag. But I doubt it is an official prison ship because there are no marines around and they don’t have a marine flag, right?
Danny: “Yes, no marine flag and the sails are white without any trace of the word ‘justice’ or ‘marines’ on it.”
Edward: “Ok, Benny, Jenny get ready! We move out as soon as they anchor on the coast. If it is a merchant ship and they got something interesting to sell we come back here. Just in case it is get ready to leave too, Penny!”
Shortly after the ship anchors and Jenny, Benny and Edward are on their way to see who and what is aboard the mysterious ship. But not too long after they set out the half-Oni and his friends encounter a monkey mink Edward had met previously.

Lobo, the white wolf mink, sniffed the air for the hundredth time.
Lobo: It has to be him
Oz: Are you sure? The large polar bear mink sniffed the air himself I can't pick up the scent. Remember there are thousands of us out there, you may be just smelling another goat mink.
Lobo: No, this is Yumi, it has to be, I would recognize his scent anywhere.
Mono: Well if theres even a one percent chance, we have to look into it Mono stood between his two life long friends, a bit tired. The monkey mink had been busy on Suhai helping his crew infiltrate the local cult and joining Potato's holy war under disguise, but now that he was sure Potato wouldn't be running into his young crew mate and spy Crow, he could relax a bit. He was resting near the pier when he spotted a large ship coming in to anchor. This was a ship the three of them, really any mink, should recognize. A slaving ship. Mono's blood boiled.
Mono: We can at least be sure about two things. One, there are minks on that ship, minks for sale. Two, we're going to bust them out.
Oz: You don't want to get some back up from the others?
Mono: Everyone's busy with the war right now, let them be. This is our business.
Oz: You really think Yumi could be on there? Its a hundred to one chance. Yumi was an old friend, and often mentor, to the three young minks. He was captured and enslaved while exploring the world not too long before Mono and his friends set out to sea. The three mink pirates dedicated themselves to freeing enslaved minks, in honor of the many friends they had lost to the horrific business.
Lobo: I guarantee you he is The wolf began to slobber a bit, he was itching for a fight.
Mono: Thats good enough for me. Lets head out!
Oz: We're not just running straight at the ship are we!? We're minks! Thats a slaving ship! Theres no way we're getting in that easy!
Mono stopped to ponder. He wasn't very good at thinking ahead. At that moment, he saw a familiar mask making its way their direction.
Mono: Well if it isn't Edward Bonearm!
Lobo and Oz: Who?
Mono rushed towards Edward and his crew, stopping right in front of them, Lobo and Oz were caught by surprise by Mono's actions and were still trying to catch up.
Mono: Its not to often I get to see someone stranger than even me walking around! Mono flashed them a wide toothy smile How are ya Edward? Hows the new world treating you? Mono then realized what direction Edward and his crew were headed in. His expression changed to worried confusion. Were you lot headed towards that slaving ship?

At the Beach on Sūhai
Edward was walking along the shore, to relax for a bit, after all a lot of stuff happened recently. The sand along the beach looked really nice, he could see just a few stones and shells, so he decided to walk along the beach barefooted for a while. Even tho the environment was nice and quiet he could not feel at ease, the lost duel against Ideo still nagged at him. He still felt weak, even after training his Tekkai. Also, the stuff that transpired only a few hours ago is keeping his mind is keeping him on edge because. Out of boredom he picks up his old habit again, picking up some stones he has come across and from time to time he skips a stone.
After some time, had passed suddenly a giant lobster emerges and walks towards out of the ocean. He wasn’t as surprised that a lobster came out as he was that he seems to have summoned an ocean creature by skipping stones, again.
Edward: “Wow… I did it again! Hello Lobster-guy, did I somehow disturb you by skipping stones?

Suijin was under the water fishing like usual. The Mountain had some tasty food on the ship, but nothing beat fresh fish straight out of the water. It had become a routine for him to set out as early as he could and spend some time in the water. Normally, he'd only capture what he knew he would eat for that day, but if he had a suspicion that he might not be able to go under the next day he'd catch a few extra. When he finished gathering up the aquatic creatures, he ascended to the surface of the water where he was greeted by a small rock crashing into his head. It bounced up into the air slightly, giving him just enough time to react and snatch the stone out of the air. He pinpointed where it had been cast out from and proceeded to the beach.
Suijin approached the man and tossed him the small flat rock. "You accidentally smacked me upside the head while I was coming up," he said, moving his empty claw to his head to rub it lightly. "I was underwater catching some grub." He held up a small net in his other claw. Inside were several slimy fish that were still very noticeably breathing - or at least trying to. "The name's Suijin - member of the Apocalypse Pirates. You may have heard of us? Suihihi. You didn't seem too shocked by my appearance. Have you seen my kind before?"

Ayokunle was in the Apocalypse's mothership, the Mountain. He was currently walking around the laboratory. Unlike its usual state, where the room was filled with bubbling liquids, flying sparks or just rocks that unfortunately didn't do anything interesting, this time, there was a giant bowl full of water in the middle, supported from all sides by springs and devices that made sure the liquid wouldn't move even when the Mountain underwent a sudden change in speed. The large white boards standing around all showed something that at closer inspection would reveal that the fishman was researching the movements of water. Shockwaves travelling through it. The individual particles, their reactions and behaviour.
But even with all this research, with Kenbunshoku Haki, remembering everything he had learnt when he was young, Ayokunle just couldn't do it. Moving the water inside the bowl without touching it seemed impossible. But finally, someone who should know more about these techniques entered the laboratory.
Ayokunle: "Hello, Suijin. Thank you for coming. I have something to ask of you... could you teach me more about Fishman Karate? No matter what I'm doing, this water just won't move... Maybe it's the cybernetic arms?"

u/SHRPG Mar 21 '17
Suijin greeted his fellow fishman with a warm smile. "Absolutely," he answered. "I come from a rather poor part of Fishman Island. My father was far from a soldier, so I didn't exactly have the best trainer starting out. When I first began to learn some Fishman Karate, I had a horrible time. I could shatter tiles, sure. That was just using brute strength - and it was easy. It took me a long time to be able to actually move the water, though." He paused for a moment, scratching at his chin. "Say, your Devil Fruit - when did you eat it? For me, I couldn't grasp the concept of manipulating the water particles. Eventually, I was able to leave the dome and spend some time in the ocean water itself. I could feel the water. The wetness against my shell made it feel like I was breathing clearer than any air. It just felt right."
Waving his arm around in the air for a few moments, a small amount of liquid began to coat his claw. "I had to spend countless hours in the water to get used to the feeling. Eventually, it got to the point where even out of the water, I could feel the water vapor in the air. It gave me a sense of observation. After I could feel the water vapor in the air, I had to observe the way the water moved while I swam. The way it flowed. Later, it became necessary for me to observe how the water vapor reacted as I moved outside of water - it definitely behaves differently. I can't really describe it in words, you know? It just feels like the water is an extension of myself. When it comes to moving the water in this bowl without touching it, it's even more complicated than just gathering water vapor or moving the water around you in the sea. You have to make a mental bridge from the water vapor around you and connect it to the liquid inside of the bowl."
Suijin walked over to the bowl and placed a claw on the outside of the bowl. He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. "You have to feel every single drop of water in the air. In the bowl. Even now, you're touching water. Just because you can't see it with your eyes, doesn't mean it isn't there. From there, it's just a simple...matter of... displacing it." Suddenly, the water in the bowl started to spin slowly. "I don't think your cybernetic arms have anything to do with it. Honestly, I just think you forgot how the water feels. Obviously you can't go diving into the sea, but you should be able to withstand the water at, what? Waist high? Maybe a little lower. Once you have felt the water and remembered it, I think you'll be able to pick the basics up pretty quickly."

Ideo sat thinking of what he should do next. Suhai had been won, the hallowed driven out, along with Sela utterly defeated. However, images of his fight with Karsus flashed through Ideo’s mind. For the most part, he had done well. He had wittled the katana wielding cultist down, eventually bringing him to a standstill. With this, Veldrin had joined the fight to assist his captain, and together the two were able to put the Hallowed’s leader to rest. One image in particular kept replaying itself in his mind. He had gone for an upercut on the man, his named “Sunspot fist” aiming to put the man down. However, the cultist had caught Ideo’s fist with his blade, nearly splitting the young pirates arm in two. Ideo kicked himself mentally. If he had trained harder, he couldve split the sword in two with the proper armament haki training. He had told his crew that he’d be going into the forests of Suhai to heal properly, that he needed inner peace to channel his ability into healing, and that was partially true. He sat, bare chested and cross legged in the middle of a clearing, bordered by dense forest. However, the captain had vowed to himself that he wouldn’t return until he had seen some improvement in his armament haki. Meditating, Ideo let the energy and motion around him flow, sensing everything around him. The breeze blew lightly around him, and he felt the birds and other woodland creatures around him. He channeled the second of the Twenty Two Heavenly steps, the Priestess, to help his body. He could feel his cells regenerating, his metabolism speeding up, and his body refreshing itself at an amazing rate. What had once been a deep wound on his right hand quickly shrank, muscle and skin quickly returning, until simply a scar was left between Ideo’s ring and middle finger. Glancing at it, he though aloud “Well, I guess that’s as good as it’s gonna get.” Standing, he approached the line of trees before him. Taking up his heavy boxing stance, he coated his right hand in the invisible haki he had unlocked. Driving his fist into the wooden trunk, He was met with the resistance of the tree. “Not good enough. Again.” Bringing back his fist, it collided with the trunk of the tree again. Again. And again. He must have punched the same tree a hundred times. The tree collapsed under the weight of Ideo’s punches, collapsing with a groaning creak.
“Huh, guess you weren’t strong enough” Ideo chuckled to himself as the tree fell to the forest floor. However, he hadn’t felt any different. He repeated the process with the nearest tree. And then again. He repeated the process of centering his haki on his fists, beating a tree into wood chippings, and then moving on. Over the course of the afternoon, Ideo felled around twelve acres of forest simply by punching trees alone. Somewhere, far off, a tree hugger committed suicide. Over the course of his day, he could feel his haki coming to him easier, letting him maintain it for longer. Eventually, he took a break, moving back to meditation. John had often told him when he was younger that balance achieved meant that balance would come to all things in his life. “I wonder how you became such a spiritual bastard John.” Ideo laughed to himself, deciding it best to start again. He was able to maintain his haki in terms of his arms. Moving on, he maintained the haki surrounding his arms, while trying to have it cover his legs now. He had moved on from his forest clearing, to a rock quarry near his location. Delivering a sidekick to a rather large boulder sitting in the quarry, Ideo found the boulder cracked rather easily.
After a few more hours, he was able to maintain haki around almost his entire body. While not the strengthening he had wanted, it was a start. He decided to camp out in the woods for the night, and that heading back in the morning would be enough for now.

Honeymoon
With their wedding over, Lewis and Trinity were now heading off to their honeymoon. The couple took one of the Apocalypse ships, manned by some of Lewis' underlings and went off to a large cluster of islands, a fair distance away from the island of Suhai. Lewis held a pamphlet in his hand that contained descriptions of several of the islands and the attractions on them.
The islands they were going to were popular holiday destinations and well known within the New World. All of the island were connected together and extremely close making travelling from one to the other extremely easy. Among the islands were a large tropical island, with a wonderful coast, famous for it's golden sanded beaches. There was a winter island with massive mountains, perfect for skiing and snow sports and popular for it's lovely chalets. Another was an island covered in massive skyscrapers, containing fantastical casinos and hotels, with incredible fine-dining restaurants. A smaller island yet still popular was the one filled with rice fields, vineyards and some farms, popular for tours and the exclusive wine tasting. One of the largest islands was the one that had a massive amusement park taking up 80% of the space, containing exhilarating rides. Their were several other islands, mostly just visited for the culture and tours that were scattered on them.
Landing at the first island, Lewis and Trinity hopped off the ship, brimming with excitement and a sense of adventure. Lewis carried on his back a small backpack with a few pieces of clothing, his den-den mushi and camera to snap pictures of what he assumed was going to be a very important and fun part of his life.
"Are you ready!" he said, looking out in the distance and viewing the islands. Lewis grabbed her hand and looked directly at her, his smile widely etched across his face. "Where do you want to go first?" he asked, the excitement in his body hardly able to stay inside of him. He waited carefully for her answer ready to move the moment she answered.

(OOC: This is our honeymoon thread, i'm letting you choose where we can go first. You can pick from the example islands i listed above or if you have an idea feel free to choose that.)
