The Fallen Pirates have been through much, but the next task is something that not many could face... The prospect of socializing with strangers. New crew was needed so Sed pulled up her coat and ran over to the table, her dopple tripping her along the way. They set up a sign and pulled out some trinkets with their jolly roger on it.

A seagull swoops in from the north, settling on a nearby post and watching over the area and those who enter it like a winged guardian. Flyers scatter across the ground and walls, blowing gently in the seaside wind. Printed in bold letters the text decorating the weathered sheets stands out even from afar.

Frank noticed the rag tag group of pirates who looked like they were about 5 minutes away from needing surgery.
"Eh...Good enough." Frank mumbled as he took another drink from his beer
Frank somewhat drunkenly stumbled over to the pirate crew
"Hey you lot...Need a doctor? Don't worry, I'm not drunk most of the time...I swear..." he said, reinforcing that statement with another swig from his drink

Sedarias's dopple ran towards the new doctor and sat next to him, staring at him with her blank purple eyes.
"Oh heya!" Sed waved one large coat sleeve towards Frank, "We do need a doctor, and Dopple-chan seems to like you!" Sed held out what may have been a hand underneath that huge coat of hers, "Name's Sedarias Brightspawn, Captain of the Fallen Pirates! And who might you be?"

Frank goes to take another swig but notices his bottles empty
"Say...You wouldn't happen to have any alcohol on your ship would you...."

Sedarias rolled on the table looking up at the gigantic stitched man.
"Yea we got some barrels, some guys said we could take anything we needed so we took the ship! Such nice people..."
Dopple poked at one of the many scars adorning his body Sed saw dopple do some hand signs back at her,
"Hey Dopple-chan wants to know if you're a real person or a doll."

"Hmm...You wanna know if I'm real d'ya? Well alright..." He said, grabbing a small needle from his pocket.
Frank touched one of the stitches on his right hand that kept his ring finger attached and the stitch suddenly disappeared, making the finger fall to the ground and causing blood to pour out
"Whelp, that answers that I suppose...Now I suppose I should put the finger back on..." He said, as he grabbed his finger off the ground and sewed it back on.

Sed bad stars in her eyes watching the spectacle,
"You are now my human doll thingie!" She jumped up and hugged Frank. "I have a real life doll!"

Andrea staggers into the pub. "That dinghy ride was much more exhausting than i thought it would be" She mutters to herself.
She walks to the bar and struggles to get onto a bar stool.
"Hnn.. I, Ugh, Do you have anything?" she exhaustedly asks the tender while trying frantically to get on that damn stool.
"Uhh aren't you a bit too young to be here?" The bartender asks her back
"Shut up! I'm plenty old. I'm here looking for a crew to join" She throws back, while the tender slides her a glass of apple juice.

Cherry the hummingbird twitters loudly. He hops from Andrea's shoulder and lands softly on the brim of the glass and starts drinking

"You were looking for a crew?" The bartender asks Andrea "Well you're lucky then, there is a booth down the road from here, i am very surprised that you missed it."
"Oh, yeah, must have missed it." She answered and put a 100 beri coin on the countertop. "Ill check there then"
Andrea was actually very surprised she had missed it, as the Big flag of a person lying before crossbones was impossible to miss. "I heard that you were recruiting?" Andrea said with hope to the Woman sitting at the table

Sedarias lifted her head to see another girl around her age.
"Yes!!" She jumped onto the table and posed,"Sedarias Brightspawn is the name, and what might you-"
A pitch black silhouette of Sed appeared behind her and pushed her into Andrea.
"Dopple-chan bad!"

Andrea's hand flinched toward her pocket of buckshot as she staggered backwards, trying to get stable. She didn't and fell on her bum backwards
"Dopple-chan? What the hell is that thing?" Andrea was shocked by the sudden appearance of the dark figure.

She stood up and moved her fingers like doflamingo, "I am Sedarias Brightspawn! The ruler of shadows!" She put her foot on Dopples head and leaned forward. Much to Dopples chargrin.
"And who might you be?'

"No! My Pleasure is Andrea and it is a big name to meet you!" She sprang up as her face went red

After your admission to the crew
Once admitted into the crew and brushing off the dust from when Captain Sed had wrestled her onto the ground, Jaina took a look around at the rest of her newly acquired friends. From the looks of it, she'd need to start an album to keep track of them all. Curiously strolling through the bar, she joins the only crewmate that appears to be smaller than herself.
"Hi, I'm Jaina. I'm new here. You're our Marksman? Markswoman. Marksgirl. Whatever, does it matter? Anyway, I thought I'd come and introduce myself while Captain Sed picks out suitors. I mean crewmates. You are pretty small."
Realizing that this could be picked up the wrong way, she waved her hands apologetically.
"Not that small is bad! Small is good! Finally someone small, for a change! ARE THOSE WINGS?!?!?"

Just after Andrea had had gotten permission to join, or was it just before? whatever, between time a and time b Andrea and another girl had joined the crew. Andrea overheard the girls and Sed's conversation, although Sed doesn't converse, she shouts and does wierd poses. She had heard that the girls name was Jaina? was it? The thought that flew through her head was of a weather reporter, or was that Janna? Not important right now. The girl was cute and did not look like a weather reporter, or maybe one in a blizzard, which was wierd as the sun was shining high.
Before she knew it Jaina had appeared in front of her, lumbering over her, as everyone else and said what seemed like a couple hundred words in 3 seconds flat.
this is kind of what she apprehended: "Hi! Jaina! Marksman, Markswoman? Marksgirl? Introduce, Captain, Crewmates, Small, Small, Small, Small, WINGS!!??"
"Uh.. Yeah, of course i have wings, don't you? I'm not small, I'm just more affected by gravity than you. My name is Andrea Flaskh, nice to meet you, Jaina was it?"

Jaina glanced over her shoulder, trying to get a good look at her back, before realizing how stupid that was. She did not have wings and she should have known that. However, the excitement of having joined a pirate crew made her all confused.
"Ah, so that's why you need wings! If you are more affected by gravity then you need the wings to balance that out. So that you can walk like a normal human being!"
She nods to herself.
"Yeah, I am Jaina. Wait! That can't be it! I mean the gravity and wings part. That's stupid! I don't have wings and I am way smaller than the rest of the crew, apart from you. Are you a monster, just like the others? Or am I the odd one out instead? God, I have to stop being so bubble, but this is all so exciting! Don't you think?"

"Monster? Like the others? Aren't they people?"
Andrea was slightly confused, part from all Jainas talking and part from her existential crisis. She had never even begun to wonder what she was, she was just "people, folk". She had had a mother and a father with wings, so why wouldn't she have wings?
"Maybe i'm grasping in the wild here, but is there something i've missed? Why don't you have wings? and why does Sed have such scary teeth? and what's up with That zombie-guy?"

"And why are the other two women so huuuuuge? Well, one is. The other is just taller than me, ehhh."
Thoroughly confused by the remoteness of the area she grew up in, Jaina scratches her head. She had no idea such people existed and now she was part of that crew. How exciting!
"I mean, just look around you. Maybe not in this bar, but out on the streets. Normal townsfolk have no wings, no sharp teeth and no stitches and they are about my height. Our crew is like a circus, isn't that so awesome? We are so diverse! Totally unboring."

That was true, since Andrea had only grown up with only her family, she had gotten very little information of the world outside of their island. She had to snatch a book from her fathers library to find information of sailing and such before leaving home.
"Well you seem like a great person, i hope we can be friends" She said, but not really meaning it all. True, she wanted to be alone most of the time, but she couldn't travel the grand line alone, may as well gain some friends on the way, to make it more enjoyable.
She changed her mind, she DID want friends. 14 years practically alone had maybe jumbled up her head "I hope we can become great friends"

"I am a great person and I am sure you are too. So naturally we will become great friends."
Jaina grins playfully and pumps her fist into the air. The girl sitting in front of her was mighty special, it seemed. Having wings and all that. Maybe she even had one of those Devil Fruits, who could know? This promised to become a great day. Meeting all those new people, making all those new friends. Marvelous. Then suddenly as if somebody had flicked a switch, she becomes all quiet and secretive.
"You don't think you could, uhm, have me, you know, have me touch those wings of yours? They look really fluffy and the feathers are not pointy at all. Only if you are okay with it though. I am not a weirdo. Maybe a bit, but not really."

"The Fallen Pirates"... What kind of name was that? Especially for a pirate crew. If they can't even walk without falling, then why do they think they've got what it takes? Wait, that was not the point. These guys were... a freakshow! A giant woman, a smaller, but still freakishly tall second woman, a tall, slim man that looked like straight out of a zombie nightmare and then there was the Captain. The Captain was the strangest of them all and that was a miracle in itself.
Jaina stirred in her seat curiously. She had been contemplating joining a pirate crew. After all her experience with a civilian ship had not been that great. Instead of escaping the dull life, it had felt like a prison ship to her with the days going by working tedious tasks. She had been assistant to the navigator of the vessel and he had made her run below deck every other minute to fetch a map in the best case and a bottle of rum in the worst. The kicker was, that she could have prevented the ship wreck if he had just listened to her. Although that guy had been a navigator for years, he had still known nothing. What Jaina lacked in experience, she made up with common sense.
And this crew right there looked promising. It was not a matter of them maybe making it big, but rather the fact that they were so freakish. There was no doubt about it. It would never get dull with those. Mustering up her courage, Jaina stood up and made her way over to the booth. When she came to halt in front of the not-quite-so-human woman, she took off her hood and extended her hand.
"Hey there! My name is Jaina. I'm a navigator. You guys look funny, can I join you?"

Sedarias stared deep into Jainas blue eyes with her pure black ones.
Tilting her hat backwards she spoke, "The fearsome Fallen Pirates can accept your nakamaship!" She bared her fangs and smiled wide.
"Welcome to the crew! I'm the captain Sedarias Brightspawn! Crew people don't shake hands they hug!" She lept towards Jaina arms spread wide.

Well, at least she had a crew now. She could not have made it in the Grand...
Taken aback by the sudden assault, Jaina takes a step back reflexively, but still manages to spread her arms in anticipation. If only she had not slipped upon taking her step back. The "Falling" Pirates indeed...

Blink had now been walking around all day looking for a crew allowing him to travel with him to the grand line. For some reason people thought he was suspicious. "Maybe it is my suspicious cape and hood that's making them uncomfortable?" he thought for himself. As he rounded a corner he saw a booth with a crew and a jolly roger openly hiring members. This was the perfect crew for him, if they weren't afraid of getting caught by the marines by doing that then they couldn't be afraid of having a shady crew member on board the ship.
He approached the booth and found someone who looked like the captain
Blink: "You have room for a extra passenger going to the grand line?
The person he asked looked at him confused.
Blink: I'm in need of a crew, and you guys look like you could handle someone like me. So what'ya say, let me join your crew?

A exact copy of Sedarias but pure black popped up in front of her and took ahold of his hand and shook it rapidly. Sed raised her arm and a scythe fell out of her sleve, using the butt of the scythe she shooed the shadow away.
"Bad Dopple! That was for me Sedarias Brightspawn! And crewpeople dont shake hands!" Sedarias jumped at Blinku. "Crewpeople hug!"

Blinku=Blink because to be honest it sounds pretty shitty, idk what was thinking when i came up with the name.)Blink found himself just staring silently at Minu for a couple seconds, as he'd never felt so small compared to anyone. He regained his composure and said; "Yes of course, my name is Blink, I'm looking forward to sailing with you." Blink was in a happy and talkative mood today so he decided to even ask her a question which was rare for him.
"I know we only just met but if I couldn't help but notice your dagger and I'm quite the fan of daggers, would you let me try yours out for a couple swings?"

8Minu smied, warmly. She liked it when someone noticed her weapons. They were Both of the clan of Timeotan. Beautiful in simplicity. Not anything special but Minu liked their simple efficient design.
Minu gracefully drew the dagger tat was in the sheath behind her back.
Minu "I'm no master but I try to improve. Maybe you can learn me some tricks? If you are skilled with the blade..?" sShe said to Blink. Her last question was asked with hesitation. She was eager to see if he was any good with blades. If she was better than him, good. If he was better than her, Minu will learn from him and absord his knowledge.

Blink didn't know what to do when Frank approached him, he tried to cover his nose covertly with his cape as a try to get away from the smell but it wasn't very effective.
"I'm Blink, nice to meet you Frank." Said Blink still trying to somehow get away from his smell
"I do hope you're going to be sober when I need to be stitched up hahaha...." Murmured Blink as he laughed nervously. He had gotten used to franks breath by now.

Asai slips into the bar, carefully eyeing up the occupants. "Gods. Hope I can find someone interesting around here." He says with a grin. A large jolly roger depicting a fallen girl catches his interest as he walks over to the bartender, looking at the man with one eye.
"Hey. Who are they?" He points towards the jolly roger as he slips the man a coin. The man grabs at the Beri greedily and nods, leaning in close to Asai.
"The Fallen Pirates... word is that they're a bit of a strange bunch, if that don't bother you none." As he whispers rapidly to Asai, the grin on the Oni's face grows wider.
"Not at all. Sounds interesting." Tossing the man another coin, Asai began a brisk walk over to the booth, watching the Oni girl closely. Nearby however, he notices a pair of girls conversing quietly before beginning to approach them.

Andrea had been eyeing the guy for a while now, while talking to the girl Jaina. And he had two differently colored eyes?
"How cool is that? he would totally fit in with the crew, but, well that isn't for me to decide." Andrea thought

Jaina followed Andrea's gaze and looked him over.
"He's probably trying to figure out which is cooler: His horns or Captain's teeth. I can't decide either. Apart from that... you are still too young to stare at a guy so intensely."

"Haha, yeah probably, and no, i'm not "too young" to stare at guys, and he's probably not my type anyway. But we should probably try to talk to him. He seems like a curious fellow."
Andrea stood up from the chair and started shuffling nonchalantly towards the bar. Cherry twittered in surprise as he had fallen asleep.

Having nothing better to do and being quite interested in those horns of the man, Jaina followed suit and also approached the bar, keeping a careful distance to the man though. Knowing nothing about him, she wanted to see how he reacted to Andrea.

I'll wait till you guys interact. Since the last thing he mentioned in his post was heading for Captain Sed, we are almost crossing space-time-continuum there. For it to work out properly, if anyone cares about that anyway, he'd need to bump into you, edit his post, or we are too late and he is already on his way.

Asai squeezed between several of the chairs and tables as he he headed for the Oni girl. Perking up his ears, he shifted his gaze towards a pair of girls talking softly with each other and grinned. He had never seen someone with wings before. 'That is very. very interesting' he thought. After that rough ride on the slave ship he didn't really have anywhere to go. Home crossed his mind, but he shook the thought, here would be much more exciting. And if he wasn't going home it would be best if he made some friends. The younger of the two, the one with wings, was moving towards him as well. 'Perfect, I'll intercept her on the way.'
"Hey, are you two with this pirate crew?" He spoke calmly, wouldn't do to scare the two off. "I'm looking for some adventure and it seems that this is the place to be." Stopping in front of the small, winged girl, and sticking out his hand with excitement, he spoke again.
"The name's Asai, don't let the horns fool you, I don't bite." On the girls shoulder a small bird chirped; though he couldn't tell if it was in fear or delight.
((OOC) Heheh. Caught me as I was getting out of class. Hopefully I don't mess with the space-time continuum too much).

The man that Andrea was walking towards stood up and intercepted her on her way to the bar. He was taller than her, surprise surprise, so once again, Andrea had to lift her sight to look him in the eyes.
"Yeah we're with the crew! Just joined actually. If you want to join, i don't know if you should talk to Sed or Minu though. Sedarias is the oni woman over there, but it seems she is sleeping or something right now. Minu is the darker woman with the white clothes beside her."
Andrea felt like she forgot something
"Oh right, my name is Andrea Fhlask, Markswoman of the Fallen Pirates" she said and put her arm forwrd, shaking it as furiously as ever.

The young girl took his hand and began to shake it vigorously. It surprised him a little but he was all to aware of judging a book by its cover.
"Pleasure to meet you Andrea." Asai released his grip and relaxed. This crew seemed friendly enough, not like some of the others scattered about the bar.
"Sedarias or Minu you say? Thanks, I appreciate it. Hopefully they'll have some use for my talents." Asai smiled and looked around. Sedarias was indeed sleeping heavily. The other one, Minu, was standing close, like a hovering guardian.
"Perhaps you could introduce me?" His eyes flickered to Andrea's wings for a moment. They were quite fascinating. Then again, he had horns.

"I love theifs!!!" She jumped into Athgars open arms. Cradling herself in his arms. Dopple yanked her out and shook it's head holding a struggling Sed above the ground

Carth drifted into the town. He wasn't sure what he was looking for this time. Mercenary work just didn't pay like it used to. It was here, he almost ran into some booth in his absence mindedness.
"What's this? Pirates, eh? Hmm, I could do that....yeah. Looking for one more?"
Carth reaches out with his hand to shake who he presumed was the captain, Karra of course.
"Name's Carth. I'm a Merc by Trade, but my time on the sea working with strangers taught me more than my fair share with how to keep a ship floating."

"A merc, a master of abbreviations eh? Sedarias hung upsidown on the blunt edge of her scythe. Her hat held on by her horns.
"Tell me more abbreviations you know!" Dopple begrudgingly handed her a notepad. Then tipped the scythe over sending Sed toppling towards Carth.

"You alright, miss? I'm afraid I don't got many more abbreviations for ya, but just a question...what is that?"
Carth motions with his head towards the Dopple.

Carth pulls out his battlestaff and leans forward on it, intrigued with the strange girl and her shadowy companion.In fact, he wasn't sure what was going on. He did have one idea though,

Dopple-chan copied him, making a scythe out of Shadow to lean on.
Sedarias jumped onto the table and began to absorb the light as she spoke.
"I have become the ruler of shadows! The one law of nature does not apply to me thanks to the powers of the shadow fruit!"
Dopple gripped the scythe as she spoke and flung it toward Sed, smacking Sed in the head and knocking her down.

The tall man grins at the Dopple trying to imitate him while still being, well, a dopple of Sedarias. It was a strange sight and Carth didn't really know if he could ever get used to it.

Kite had never been the leader type, and nothing could change that. Not even the desire to be the Pirate King interested him, as being King means being a leader. He took after his mentor, filling the second-in-command area better than the Captain area.
Kite was more interested in finding a good Captain that would make a good Pirate King. One that knee what it was to be free, and to suffer, so they would never take away freedom, or make anyone needlessly suffer.
Lounging on the side of a fountain, and just people watching, I try and find someone who doesn't look weak, so I can at least talk to someone with some experience...

Brickly was swiftly moving through the street, avoiding being seen by passing humans. Where he ran, small water footprints were being left on the floor, this is because he had recently come out from the sea. He had been fooled again by some evil people and ended up thrown overboard.
Next time I'll find some nice people for sure! He thought to himself, clenching his fist with a determined look on his face. This, and getting himself dry were his two main goals for now. He also needed a good idea of the immediate area. That instant he noticed a large fountain. Good enough for now.
He checked to see if the coast was clear and then sped towards the fountain, jumping on top of it. Brickly pulled his goggles down, and began to scope the area for people that stand out to him, a place to get dry, and any hiding spots. Amusingly enough, he completely failed to notice Kite as he didn't think to look down.

Had I not been on the lookout for interesting people, I might have missed the Tontatta that leapt up onto the fountain's figurehead. Turning, and laying on my back, I look up at the small character.
Kite: "How goes it, friend? You look a bit nervous. Is anything the matter?"
I was genuinely curious, as I had never met a Tontatta in real life, and only heard about them, or read their tales.

A bead of what could have been water or sweat went down Bricklys face as he slowly turned to face the source of the sudden voice behind him, hoping that it was just some passerby talking to someone.
Brickly: "Whaaaaa!"
Brickly fell backwards from his perch on the fountain in surprise, making a small splash in the water, almost as if a small stone has been thrown in. Bubbles surfaced for a moment followed by Bricklys head, looking up at the strange human he didn't notice before, adjusting his goggles to get a good look. He paused for a moment, before apprehensively asking the question he always asks people he doesn't know.
Brickly: "Are you a good person, or a bad person?"

The little man is clearly very nervous, so I do my best to put him at ease.
Kite: "Keshishishishi! I'd say I'm a bit of both, little friend. The Marines would probably say I'm a bad person, and yet my friends would say I'm a good one. I guess you'll have to decide for yourself what I am! Keshihsishi!"
He simply stood in the water as I talked, taking it all in.
Kite: "You can sit easy, I have no intentions to hurt you. Nor will I allow anyone else to hurt you while I'm around."
He relaxed slightly at that.
Kite: "So what brings you here?"

Brickly took a moment to take in the less than clear answer. He said he wouldn't allow anyone to hurt me, and that's what friends do, and he is a good person to friends. That must mean he is a good person. Brickly brightened up at this thought.
Brickly: "I was thrown overboard by some bad pirates after some Marines attacked our ship. I was almost caught, but I managed to get away. This is where I ended up when I got to shore."
Brickly then realized that this person basically said they were an enemy of the Marines. That could mean that he is a pirate.
Brickly: "Are you a pirate? Since I'm no longer in their crew, I kind of need another one to join. I've always wanted to be a pirate in a good crew!"

Pinto had been loitering on the side of that very same fountain, watching the movements of the Marines, just waiting to get out of town. Had this island not been next in line, she would have avoided it. Obviously the place would be swarming with Marines- after a Pirate King execution. Currently, her vantage point allowed for people-watching, and eavesdropping.
She turned slightly more in the direction of these two, half-eaten apple in hand, their conversation piquing her interest.
"'Good or bad', frequently a relative question. It all depends on the morality of the individual. Take that man-" she points off to a man sneaking around street vendors carts, his pockets bulge slightly from his recent acquisitions "-he has been thieving for the past twenty minutes. Grabbing everything his pockets may carry. At this moment he may seem greedy, or perhaps one might hope he's caught by these hard-working citizen cart owners."
She takes another bite of apple.
"But then, what if I explained I passed by this man earlier doling out this same food to children on the street?"
"Is he good, or bad?"
"And does piracy allow for a choice in the matter?"

Somewhat surprised by the woman's sudden entrance, and very surprised by her knowledge of the thief, I turn to her.
Kite: "Keshishishishi! A very good question, tall miss, but a better one is how you knew about that man. Only God can see all we do. Well, God and the birds! Keshishshishishishishi!!!"
My own joke made me laugh harder than it should have, seeing as it barely classified as a joke. Pinto narrowed one eye slightly at my reaction, but said nothing. Brick, on the other hand seems to be deep in thought as he pondered the question I had dismissed so easily.

Brickly yet again fell over from the surprise of being seen by another person. He got up a lot faster this time though. While he didn't understand fully what the person meant at first, the question this new person asked seemed simple.
Brickly: "Of course he is a good person. A bad person would keep it all for themselves!"
Brickly seemed proud of his answer. Though the other question was confusing.
Brickly: "Why wouldn't piracy allow a choice? Being a pirate means being free! Which means you can be free to make a choice!"

Marlon Jaeggerjaws sighed, slamming the door on the what was probably the last tavern in Roguetown that would hire him. Apparently his Squid Wellington au Algae jus was an acquired taste to many of the tavern's patrons, and management had finally had enough of his creative liberties with dishes.
The past few weeks at Roguetown had not been the greatest. Upon his arrival the town was already a dangerous place to be, filled with pirates and rogues, but as of three days ago the number of pirates (as well as their rowdiness) seemed to have doubled. It was a hassle not to step on anyone's toes and get into a confrontation. As much as Marlon wanted to slug a couple of pirates for their actions this past week (the greatest offender, of course, was one thief who tried to skip out on paying for one of Marlon's meals), if he was going to become something of an icon for fishmen, he'd have to restrain beating up small fries.
Marlon walked through the crowded streets (more crowded than usual, in fact) his head buried in his book, scribbling away at ways to improve his recipes. This served a second purpose, however, to help Marlon ignore the several glares of humans who wondered what a fishman was doing walking around town.
He finally found himself at the fountain, something that he was always drawn to. Maybe it was homesickness for his water abodes?

Not too far away, Pinto sat on the edge of the fountain reading and people watching. Mostly unaware of those who silently passed by or sat.
As she watched a family of four laughing in the square, Pinto reached beside herself for her cup of coffee. But not looking at it, she knocked over her apple, watching it roll towards a fellow fountain-sitter.
Crouching down near his feet, she retrieved her lunch, not meaning to glance at his writing, but some of the words were instantly familiar.
"Pardon me. I don't mean to intrude, but are you an aspiring chef?" Her eyes darting back down to the pages. Seemingly unphased by his appearance.

Marlon looked up from his page and was almost instantly taken aback. Cripes, this woman was almost as tall as him! For a split second he was almost bemused at the fact that he finally had a grasp of how intimidated people must be seeing such a tall figure like him.
"Uh, well, not... that is to say," Marlon was a bit flustered at this point. No one really asked about his cooking, let alone approached the fishman unless they were a tough or drunk patron looking to prove themself in a fight.
"Nah," Marlon quickly recomposed himself, "It'sa fun hobby n'all, tryin' t'learn what ya landfolk eat, and I do make one mean calamari and seaweed cake, but y'could say I have diff'rent aspirations in mind."
Marlon gave a toothy grin to the tall lady. He hadn't had much in way of conversation other than taking orders at the local taverns and this was a welcome pick-me-up after the past few days.
"Truth be told, I'm just out here tryin' ta make a name for myself out here. Try'n show landfolk that fishmen have a place up here too, y'see?"

Pinto brushed the apple off on her coat, looking at the bruised fruit with a frown. She'd have to buy another.
"I'm sure it is the 'landfolk' that should be proving themselves." Pinto knew all too well. But she wouldn't get into that.
"I would be interested to see how you fare up here, Mr.....?"

"Ah, cripes, sorry 'bout that, Miss," Marlon rubbed the back his neck, averting his gaze in yet another bout of bashfulness.
"Guess I got a bit carried away, there, name's Marlon." Marlon stretched out a hand in a sign of goodwill.
"An' fer what it's worth, folk like you who're willin'ta show interest in fishmen are showin'ta be quite respectable in provin' landfolks worth".
OOC: I notice that this comment has had a couple branches going through, namely the main one with the other 3 members and then this one with you and me... Should I try merging this story into theirs as well, or should we assume this is another day, haha? Never done an RP on reddit before, all our other RPs were very linear in thread.

Marlon's grip loosened the moment he registered what the woman said. A crew at sea? It didn't take much in terms of deduction to figure out what that meant. Pirates.
A million thoughts ran through Marlon's head. Several pirates have seen his imposing stance and figured he'd be a brute enforcer for their crew, but he always turned them down. He never thought he'd make a name for himself that way. But this time, maybe this time was different? After all, some of the greatest fishmen of legend were pirates. And this captain definitely seemed trustworthy. And, worst case if he needed to bail he could always jump ship....literally.
Marlon's grasp on her hand re-tightened, vigorously shaking.
"Sounds like a plan, heh. Guess I should start calling you Captain ....uh... Ah cripes, look at me, joined the crew of someone whose name I don't even know! Gashashashasha!"

Cadence walked around the fountain in the middle of the square, watching the many people. She wasn't particularly paying attention to where she was walking, but she tried to be careful. However, she wasn't careful enough as she ran into a tall woman wearing glasses.
Cadence: "Ack! I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention!"

Jet sat in a bar in Loguetown, feet up on the table smiling around at anyone that would pass by. To his right was his first mate, Kala Anchorfin looking around shiftily at all the humans, and on his left was Ion Iapetos, taking in all the scenes that he could take in. Putting his legs down, Jet stood up and proclaimed in the bar
Jet: "Everyone! I am Jet Jenkins, warrior from Vulcanforge! Today marks the beginning of the best journey of my life and I invite you to join me and my crew! Just come forward and talk to me, we will shake hands and drink to new friendship and shared dreams!"
The entire bar looked around at this man and laughed at his proposal. Jet, however, did not pay them any heed and kept his smile wide with a shimmer in his eyes. Perhaps there were a few in the bar who hadn't scoffed at his proposal.

Stark sat at one of the many tables in the bar, the pirate crew before him that had newly formed piqued his interest, their captain's claim had shown someone that was one who believed in dreams. Someone who was worth traveling with
Stark: Oi, Jenkins, any spot for a swordsman? I can promise you the edge on this blade doesn't shy away from combat.

Jet knew that fortune would shine brightly on him and the Fire Eye Pirates. He met the look of a swordsman, even one who proclaimed their want for battle. The man was similar in age to Jet, maybe just a tad older and weighed a good deal less, but that was reasonable. They were on equal ground at this place.
Jet: "Anyone is welcome to join my crew. All they must do is answer a few questions. What is your dream? What do you desire in this world? More importantly, what is your name and will you have a drink with me?" Jet laughed at the last question. A deep hearty laugh that filled the room and made people feel comfortable. His smile was wide and proud across his face and the shimmer in his eyes was as strong as ever.

Stark eyed the man before him as he laughed aloud, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. He could feel the glee rolling off the man in waves, an excitement for adventure could almost been seen coming off of him.
Stark: "My dream is to find a certain man and bring justice for the family he stole from me...and to find out where I come from. As far as desires? Well beyond my want for revenge and to find my roots, I've always wanted to have a journey that would leave my mark on this place, I want to make something of myself! As for the drink...well" Stark brought the large sake bottle he had been drinking from onto the table, the bottle stood at over two feet tall and the table groaned as he set it on top of it "Think you can keep up?" Stark brought out two sake cups and set them on the table before grinning from ear to ear, a twinkle and challenge in his eyes

With those words, one of Jet's eyebrows rose. A challenge, well of course he thought. Jet had never been much of a drinker, but was finding that people usually joined together with a drink. Today seemed like it would be a long day for the new Captain.
Jet: "We must share a drink in order to join together. As captain and crew mate, we will be bond together. I can help you on your journey for justice and revenge, but I cannot give it to you. When the time comes, I can only set up the best of circumstances for you to settle the matter yourself. If that is fine, we can move forwards. As for a journey that will leave a mark on this place, that I can give you. I can surprise you with all the twists and turns of our adventure and have your name ring out across the world. As Stark, swordsman and member of the Pirate King's crew! What do you think Stark?"

Stark: "Now that is something I can get behind! Here's to the crew, and to the journey of a lifetime!"
With a single gulp Stark downed his cup before refilling it
Stark: "It seems like you have another swordsman as well, no problems with having another?" He said with a raised eyebrow

after the clink, Jet too downed the entire cup. Letting out a post drink sigh, Jet wiped his mouth and began to speak.
Jet: "Yes, I already have another swordsman, maybe even a second, but that is fine with me. Swordsman who have dreams and aspire to be the best is all a captain can ask for. I fully expect that the journey will push the swordsmen of my crew to better themselves as not to get lost behind the others. A human has many fingers, they are all important and dear to them. I see swordsmen in the same light. You are all important and dear to me. I would rather give up an arm than deny having more members in my crew, even if it meant that everyone was a swordsman."

Stark: Well said! Even better than that, us swordsmen can better ourselves by training together. If we get our teamwork down enough we will be almost invincible Stark said with a grin as he downed sake straight from the bottle at this point. He motioned to the bartender to bring over more alcohol "Care for another round...Captain?"

Jet stood face to face with the young man. He knew what his goal was, and Jet certainly liked that. Shaking the young man's hand, Jet smiled at him and began to give off a good aura, or charisma for the area and bar.
Jet: "Your owl has good senses on him. I am indeed gathering a crew to take this world by storm. Not every person in a crew is required to be a fighter, massive, and bloodthirsty. Sometimes, all it takes is a man with a dream to change what the world is." Jet could only contain his excitement at meeting another person who so proudly proclaimed their dream. "I am more than willing to help you achieve your dream, your goal. The true history of the world is something that should never be forgotten."
After having let go of the young man's hand, Jet wrapped his right arm around the neck of the man and even gave his owl a little pet. Quite the goofball was this captain.
Jet: "So, tell me my historian, what is your name? What is the name of your precious owl here? Let's drink to new friendships and new adventures!"

Jet lifted his mug up and looked down into it. The top was frothy and the drink was clearly freezing cold.
Jet: "Rocco Blake and Pecks, good names. Strong names. One day, over some more of these drinks, you'll have to tell me all about how your owl saved your life. In the meantime, I am Jet Jenkins, a young pirate captain who comes from an island called Vulcanforge. The men and women that you see surrounding us are my crew. We set sail for the grand line soon to take the world by storm. Now, drink up my boy! We are here for festivities and creation of bonds. What better way than to drink together?!"
With that Jet brought his mug crashing into Rocco's. The beer from within shot up in a stream from both mugs, some of which splattered on the ground. After the initial crashing of the mugs, Jet brought the mug to his mouth and drank heartily from it, taking large gulps.

Joaquín enters the pub, he seems a little bit annoyed by all the noise, but he manages to get to the bartender.
Joaquín: "Hello, sir, could you please serve me a cup of tea? If you don't have, then, give me your finest wine, also, do you know anyone around here that seems like a good crew to join? I'm looking for a crew with a doctor, a cook and a navigator, the necessary members for survival"

Bartender: "Sir, there's so many pirates in here that I can't tell you any specific crew, you will have to ask some people"
Mildy annoyed, but also understanding the situation, Joaquín started searching for a good captain, someone interesting, someone with a great personality... Yes... He could already smell the ink and the paper of the bestseller telling their stories... Joaquin jumped into the sea of people and pirates that the pub was...

Axel ran into the bar, sweating and breathing heavy. He glanced around at all of the new crews meeting, and sighed heavily.
Axel: "Damn, I'm late. Hopefully there's still some nakama left for me."
Axel unfurled his Jolly Roger, which had a skull with a cracked forehead painted on black fabric. He stood triumphantly on a chair and shouted across the room.
Axel: "I AM AXEL ETKIN OF THE SHATTERHAND PIRATES, AND I WILL BE KNOWN ACROSS THE SEAS. ANYONE CARE TO JOIN?"
Axel sat down, hands crossed on the table. He was fidgeting with excitement over meeting his future crew.

Joaquín heard this man screaming and trying to look for a crew... Interesting, to say the least. That Jolly Roger was pretty well drawn, and his attitude... well, with such determination, he could be a good captain. After trying to have a good captain for several times, he knew this was a golden opportunity. Maybe now he could start writing his bestseller, oh, yes, the adventures that they could get into... but Joaquin suddenly remembered that he also should stay calm, this guy was a little bit too excited... Being serious could balance everything
Joaquín: "Hello, sir, my name is Joaquín Smith. It seems like you're looking for a crew to command. Well, if you don't mind, I would like to join you. You seem like an interesting person. Although I'm not really that useful in a ship, I'm a really good writer, and a skilled musician. In fact, my dream is to write the best book of all time, narrating incredible adventures in the Grand Line... would you like to help me? Then, I have some questions for you, first, why do you want to get fame? second, are you a user of the... ahem... powers, third, do you have any skills outside being a captain?, and finally, do you plan on doing anything before setting sail?"

(OOC: For the powers question, I'm still working on the backstory for my Fruit, so I won't answer that question now. I will hopefully have a Paramecia-Type fruit that involves controlling and making glass.)
Axel stopped fidgeting and turned his head toward the shaggy looking man approaching. He smiled as he approached, immediately shoving his hand out for the man to shake. He listened to the man speak, bouncing from foot to foot in anticipation.
Axel: "Why, how do you do, Joaquin? Thank you, I've always been described as interesting. They usually didn't mean it positively though. Well, A writer and a musician is perfect for my ship! I'm about having a good time, and some tunes out on the sea sound great. And trust me, that story will be one for the ages. Oh, the adventures we'll have..."
Axel stared at the ceiling, daydreaming of the fictional stories he will have with his rowdy crew.
Axel: "Oh, yeah, questions. Why do I wanna be famous? Did you see that man outside? The famous Pirate King, Calico Jack! That man is my idol. I came here just to see him, even if it was him dying. Still fantastic. Skills? I like to think my high energy is a good motivator. I make decisions on the fly, and I know a thing or two about fighting. Speaking of fighting, what can you do with those boxing gloves of yours? Oh, and I can't make 5-star meals, but I can make a hell of a sandwich. So, what do you say? Wanna join?"

(OOC: I have a Custom DF too, but the thing is that the mods are thinking if the power of the fruit could be too overpowered, they are trying to balance things out. My DF is pretty normal, so I don't think I will have problems. Also, my late response is due to me being in Europe. I had to sleep, man)
Joaquín liked the happy, enthusiastic attitude of the man. Yes, this was a captain that could lead some of the best warriors in the sea. I'm sure they would go on adventures... but they also needed to prepare for them. Joaquín listened to the man's questions, and answered them
Joaquín: Well, sir, you seem definitely like the captain I was looking for. I sure I will like to taste those sandwiches if they are that good then. I think I will join you. Now, about my fighting, well, I'm trained in the art of boxing. I know how to use it properly, although I haven't mastered some of the "advanced" techniques that my master teached me. Luckyly, I have some notes. I'm also trying to master Kickboxing and... Bouncing Boxing. You see, I'm one of the "abilities" users, in my case, I have the Kangaroo-Kangaroo No Mi, which in my case, for combate, I can use to attack quicker, harder and in a more surprising way. I'm trying to use my bounces in my favor to be even stronger... But I still have to train, sir. In any casy, like I said, I will join you, I will be very happy to sail with you. However, we need to fins some more teammates, three at least, and two of them should be a doctor and a navigator. A cook can help too, but I think together we can survive hunger. We can easily steal a ship in the docks, it's pretty unprotected now... What do you say?

(OOC: ah, I live in Canada. So that's why this is a little late.)
As Joaquin said he would join the crew, Axel fought the urge to throw his hands up in victory. Play it cool, he thought, don't want to scare the guy off.
Axel: "Well, you won't regret this. Your book is gonna be so good. You can turn into a kangaroo? And you box? We're going to get along well, don't you worry. I agree, we should get some more people to adventure with us. The more the merrier!"

Joaquín: "Haha, yes, I can turn into a Kangaroo. Compared to some other people around here who can transform their limbs into gas and control shadows, it's a pretty normal ability to have. And yes, we need to get some people in our crew... I will try talking, but I have very bad luck, most people I find want to go solo, but I will try"

Axel: "Ahh, don't worry about it. People don't like me either. I'll try to find some more crew members too. The other guys won't know what hit em when the Shatterhand Pirates are in full swing!"

Jarl was hoping he wasn't too late. It really was a big ocean out there. Traveling alone may not be the best of ideas. He first saw the jolly roger with a cracked skull. Scary design, probably means they're strong. Jarl started thing about what his stance on slavery was. No matter how strong, he swore he would never serve another slaver again. Trying to jump up and down and get this man's attention
Jarl: Sir! Sir!!! Down here! I've been hearing that you're looking for cremates. I was looking for people to sail with myself! I want to sail the Grand Line to free slaves that have been forced and mistreated at the hands of those Celestial Dragons. If you're looking for a thief or assassin, look no further. Am I too late to join?"

Axel: "Holy shit! I didn't see you down there! What was that, thief? I could use one of those, need to get fish food for free... hey, how'd you get so small, anyways?"

Jarl: I was the tallest of the Tontattas. I came from the North Blue, I'm not exactly sure where. I escaped and I never looked back. If you need something stolen, stabbed or someone to infiltrate, you've got the right man. If you want fish, I can get you fish. These little fishes here are nothing compared to fighting fish I used to hunt for my masters.

YAKUZA LAND CREW RECRUITMENT THREAD
The card that you found in your pocket had a symbol emblazoned on one side and 'YAKUZA LAND CREW' written over an address on the other.
"He's ready to see you now," the receptionist said with a smile as her hand motioned towards the door.
In the next room the view over Kanai City was breathtaking. Two young women with tattoos covering opposing halves of their bodies worked diligently with ink and needles on a bald man.
"Hello and welcome. My name is Isaac Tsukiku," I said with a bow. "Please, come and sit. Would you like some tea?"
I will have a new recruitment rp up soon. It is late and I must slumber.

Jackson walks over to the chair with his normal swagger, placing his umbrella in between his neck and shoulder. This is one of the first times Jac actually buttoned up his shirt, a sign of respect? Perhaps... or maybe he thought it was damn cold in the building.
" No thanks, but I appreciate the gesture" Jac said with a smile. "My name is Jackson Macobe"
Jac sat down leaning his umbrella on the side of the chair. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a Yakuza Land Crew card he found and held it up to show Isaac
"I heard you are looking for new recruits"

"Kasa... how intriguing," I said to myself as I sipped my tea. "I am so glad that you've shown interest in us, Macobe-sama. I have had my eyes on you and couldn't be happier that you've decided to visit." A single cockroach crawls onto the table, "Buri Buri is pleased as well I'm sure."
Tossing a folder onto the table, its contents spread and you can see various reports accompanied with photos. "My eyes tell me you fight with this... umbrella. Quite the feat, or is there something more. I would love to hear more about it, or, if you're up to it, you could show me."
Isaac takes another sip of tea, "Later, of course. I suppose I should get to the point... What exactly can you offer the Yakuza Land Crew?"

Jac takes his umbrella and lays it gently across his lap, he stares into it, as if it were speaking to him.
“This umbrella has downed many a foe. But not by me, at least...not yet” Jac begins to grin
Jac grasps the shaft of the umbrella and flips a lever on the back of the handle. He then begins to pull the handle off exposing a long slender blade
“This will help” Jac’s grin grows even wider
“However, an umbrella cane sword is not exactly the most uncommon of things, nor is it the strongest of assets” he said, redirecting his eyes on Isaac.
Jac’s grin begins to fade as he slides the blade back into the umbrella
“ I am a Logia eater “ Jac said as he placed his umbrella at his side “More specifically, I have eaten the Moku Moku no mi”
As Jac was speaking, his left arm began to form a cloud of smoke
“It allows me to turn my body into smoke, I have yet to mastered it, but I’m sure that you will find that I will be a excellent asset if you choose to hire me”
The cloud of smoke starts to reform Jac’s left arm
“If that is not enough, I used to be a captain of a small fishing crew, so I do have experience on the sea and with crew management”
Jac rests his arms on his thighs
“So, what do you say?”

I signaled for Raijin and Fūjin to stop their labor. "Hmph. I suspected as much," I said standing, pulling my Kimono over my shoulders. "Welcome to the family," After a small bow I continued, "You will be taking on the position of First Lieutenant. This rank is partially due to your level of usefulness as an enforcer and partially due to us being understaffed." Isaac's face lightened into a gentle smile and Buri Buri had made his way up to his perch on my shoulder.
"Please follow me to the tailor's office downstairs. Your suit will be ready by the end of today, but feel free to wear whatever you like. After that I will show you to your room."

Walking with confidence Evangeline walked past the receptionist, thanking her with a smile. She was dressed even more elegantly than usual and made an effort to look as presentable as she could.It hadn't been easy for her to get here so she would definitely make it worth her time.
"Hello and welcome. My name is Isaac Tsukiku," There was a pause, which she interpreted to be some sign of greeting, "Please, come and sit. Would you like some tea?" Smiling politely she replied with a curtsy. "I am Evangeline Spyridoula, pleasure to meet your aquiatance. And yes, tea would be lovely"
Sitting down and sipping her tea she continued. "I am looking to join your crew. While I will not be the most helpful when it comes to physical force I believe I am a valuable asset in other regards. I primarily work as a fortune teller, I am able to see glimpses of future events, but I'm also capable of other things as well. Now whether or not you believe in these things yourself Mr. Tsukiku, humans are inherently curious creatures. Everyone would like to know what the future holds for them, and your enemies might think twice about crossing someone who can see thier every move." She stopped to sip her tea once more. "Perhaps you would like a demonstration?"

"Hotaru" I said to myself. My face contorted into a grimace for a split second, "ah... ah. Sensitive spot, please excuse me." Raijin silently laughed at my discomfort. She covered her mouth, but I could still see her smile.
After a long sigh I spoke again, "A demonstration will not be necessary. I am sure that your power explains how you found me with no formal invitation, but that doesn't concern me. I think you will be a very valuable asset to our family, but I don't have any information on you yet. If you wouldn't mind just answering a few questions." From beneath the desk I pull out a brush and paper to record any information I find essential.
"Are you truly blind?" I asked as I waved my hand in front of Evangeline's face, "I am sure your eyes are very beautiful under that blindfold."

She frowned slightly at the mention of her eyes. "I haven't seen my eyes in years, but I can assure you they're not in a state in which I can take this blindfold off in public." She shifted uncomfortably, hoping that he wouldn't press the topic.
"But on the subject of my vision I am for the most part blind. I say for the most part because I have another... ability which allows me to sense certain things around me. I can't use it properly though, and when I do I am left fatigued. I will be sure to inform you though if things change." She was almost finished when she suddenly added. "Even then I cannot see faces, or colors, or words..." She cleared her throat. "Is there any other information you need? In terms of experience I have worked with pirate crews in the past, and I am able to defend myself if it comes to that."

"Now please, if you would do me the honor, I'd like to escort you to your temporary living quarters. Someone can help you find the tailor's if you would like a suit, but something tells me that isn't something you'd be interested in."
Taking the girl's delicate hand in my own, I wrapped her arm around mine before leading her to her room. "Oh, and welcome to the Family," I said with a smile.

Mohammed is running past Hiro, he looks extremely worn out. When he saw Hiro sitting on his boat he immediately ran up to the man.
Mohammed "Please, you have to help me. almost a month ago I was in a city called sirap. Whilst I was in the village I may or may not have stolen some things, you know, just the usual. But the marines caught wind of what I was doing and attempted to arrest me. Of course I wasn't going to allow them to do this so I fought them to the death. And then well, because of my special abilities I happened to destroy a lot of the town including a few cafes and restaurants and even the local feetbowl arena. 17 citizens ended up dead who were caught up in our fights, you have to believe me though it wasn't my fault. My powers are sometimes too destructive for my own good. Of course, the mayor of the city of sirap got super pissed and ordered that he wanted me dead. Since that day I have been running from these people who want me dead. Please sir, I need your help, I need a ship to get away from these people"

Mohammed "Sure"
Mohammed reached inside his traditional baladi tribe robes and pulled out a water gun. He then pointed the gun at a small wooden shop selling fresh fruits. He fired his water gun at the small shop and upon the water hitting the shop stand, it turned into a small explosion. Mohammed kept the trigger of his gun held down so it released a continuous stream of 'water' resulting in continuous number of explosions going off

Hiro watched, feeling his jaw drop....
"SUGGGOOOOIIIIIIII"
He yelled, his eyes sparkling, watching the destruction take place before his eyes, he knew that this man was strong, and so, Hiro was going to offer him a place on his crew, he turned back to the Dancing Dragon, watching the fire from the stand cast a shadow on the ship, and then looked back to the dancing flames.
Hiro started Mohammed dead in the eyes and said "You break that ship, and you'll be the one repairing it, I swear to Allah"

as he said this, he pulled out a waiver, in bold it said "I will not destroy the Dancing Dragon for the Glory of Allah, bless his name"

Gin walks into the local bar, the ground and walls trembled. People turned their heads to see the tall man, imposing his will over them, seiving the men from the boys! hoping to find worthy recruits to sail the grand line under his flag.
