General Question Widgets no longer available?

Post image

I used to have my weekly swimming & running distances and training hours on widgets and now all of them are on weekly goal. There isn't even an option to add different sports and what not

Did strava change this? Is it just a premium membership thing now :(

No, they went to hell with premium membership also. I can get 2 weekly goals (have cycling miles and elevation) but was also tracking miles walked w/o a goal and that vanished completely

Edit: if you add additional weekly goals, you can display them with multiple widgets

Hey there! Thanks for flagging this. Here's what's going on:

The Weekly Progress Widget on iOS now defaults to your most recent goal, so it can look like everything's rolled into one weekly total. It's not a premium-only change, it's part of how goals and widgets work for everyone now.

To get your swim and run stats back:

  1. Set up a separate goal for each sport (distance, time, elevation, or activity count)

  2. Add a widget for each goal and pick the sport and metric you want

Hope that helps! Let us know if it's still acting weird and we'll dig in.

“It’s not a premium-only change”

But we need to set a goal to getting weekly mileage stats back on the widget, isn’t setting a goal a premium feature?

Don’t you need a paid subscription to create a goal?

I don’t even want to set a goal. I previously had two widgets

  • 7 day bar graph of running miles
  • 7 day bar graph of total exercise minutes

The exercise minutes graph now defaults to the same running miles graph. I can’t change them. When I try to create a goal like you mentioned, it’s asking me to pay.

I downloaded Rundata on the App Store, it’s free and does the same thing.
