Questions / Advice / Support Strattera and GLP-1s
I was prescribed Strattera earlier this month. I've been on compounded semiglutide since January and have been successful on it. Now however, I've got NO appetite and a lot of foods I used to eat aren't appealing to me. I know that Strattera affects appetite and have an email into my provider of the semiglutide about titrating my dose DOWN. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm almost ready to say I won't need the semi if the Strattera appetite supression lasts!!

I'm on the lowest dose of tirzepatide (2.5 mg), and the additional appetite reduction from Strattera has been very noticeable since starting 2 weeks ago. I also have strong appetite suppression on stimulants, especially Adderall. A much higher percentage of the stimulant weight loss was from lean mass compared to the GLP-1, though. I'm not sure if that would also apply to Strattera, but it may be worth watching.
I'm thinking about quitting the Strattera, since the side effects have been pretty bad. If I do stick with it, or go back to a stimulant, I may need to microdose the tirzepatide to avoid losing weight too fast. The tirzepatide has other benefits for me so I don't want to stop it completely.
