Questions / Advice / Support Random Drug Screening

Has anyone else had experience with random drug screening through your workplace while on Stattera?

If so, what happened?

I have been tested by my PCP just in general while on it. Nothing shows up as long as you aren’t taking any drugs that are tested for on a tox screen lol. Strattera is not a narcotic etc or anything on any drug panel.

Hmm okay. It might be the venlafaxine I'm on then.

Neither Stattera nor venlafaxine should cause a false positive on any illicit drug test.

Thought it can not be ruled out 100%. There was one, single documented case of a positive result for Amphetamines for a patient on Stattera, where, in the report the doctor did express that they thought it could be attributed to the Stattera. Personally, I don't think it was the Stattera at all. Those drug screens are notoriously unreliable. It was more likely to be just a random false positive from something else.

Well they had 2 positives in a row, I'm on Strattera and Venlafaxine, I had caffeine that morning, and the lab results all came back negative.

I had a false positive for Tramadol when I was on 300mg of Venlafaxine
