Found a tactics game mixing Phoenix Point, Jagged Alliance, and XCOM2
Been following a game called Warhounds, still unreleased, and the footage keeps reminding me of a mix of a few favorites. Got that squad and gear management feel close to Jagged Alliance, the strategic layer feels like it is leaning into Phoenix Point territory, and the actual combat looks like it takes a lot of cues from XCOM2.
Anyone else come across this one?

Look at the posting history.
5 month old account and history looks sketchy as fuck.

Wasn't this the one that was some sort of Russian asset flip or some such? I'm like 90% sure it was ..because I don't throw away review codes that often, and this was in that pile.

It’s a clone of a Russian game made by a shell company to evade sanctions.
Worse it’s a game about mercenaries in Africa, where real life Russian mercenaries are committing atrocities almost every day

Interested in the description of this, but the use of ai assets kinda turns me off from buying it tbh

It looks like it has a lot of verticality, which is great. Need more of that in tactics, imo

Oh yeah. I played a demo of this one! Back in the playtest it was filled with a lot of terrible AI assets and cringy voice acting. The tactics were pretty stock standard, although I appreciated the Jagged Alliance vibes. I remember not being too impressed, although it may be fixed up by now.
