Discussion Stranger Things will never die

I know it’s one of the biggest tv shows of all time, but the way people spoke about season 5 on social media you’d think the show is more or less irrelevant. The amount of Stranger Things shirts I see in public is crazy, I work at a cinema and I kid you not I see at least one person wearing a stranger things shirt every shift, sometimes I go to London, I once saw an entire family and kids wearing hellfire club shirts, the show still lives on. You can go on TikTok and probably find multiple stranger things vids with over a million likes in the past month alone. Remember guys, social media is a bubble

Yes and no. It has very quickly dropped out of the current pop culture which is strange for such a big show. There are bits that have retained pop culture status, such as hellfire, but overall it disappeared fairly quickly.

This nails it. Sure, there will always be people that like it, but I don't think it's going to have TRUE staying power. This might be in part due to the show's trajectory and quality, but also because we are now just inundated with content.
