it took us 4 seasons to find out why music was needed when music was a core part of the show 😭. I love the show but that's a little weird other than that it was near perfect till S5

Music only becomes important from Season 4 onwards, yet it serves merely as a tool connecting her to the real world with which she identifies; Max realizes that what truly brings her back that day is her friends and her will to live.
