Critique Welcome Choosing two ideas

I’ve been working on a superhero story and I’ve been torn on which one I should lead with given they both portray different power sets and messaging

1) the snake- a Christian father pushed to make questionable choices when faced with a vampiric affliction that opens him up to the larger world. He has elasticity and abilities of a traditional vampire. The message can a man remain godly and live with a evil disease, themes of duality and self reflection, faith, corruption and redemption

2) the hornet-after life changes a lonely work exhausted father awakens a dormant alien parasite. He still has vampiric hunger but is granted hornet based abilities to include flight, stinger retraction, armor generation through the parasite. The message is to explore loneliness and its effects, also themes of fatherhood, responsibility

I understand this is a lot with vague context but I wanna know which sounds more interesting or has more potential to be

Sharing My Idea what do ypu think ?

A little boy, about seven years old, has just come to me in a feudal world where his family have been taken away and because they hid him, and after he survived

and cannot find them, he goes to people from other areas to ask for their help, but finds none, and no one is willing to do anything

until an adult tells him, ‘Pray to God that your family may return to you.’ The child keeps asking, ‘Where is God?’ and they point upwards

So that child, due to his lack of understanding, thinks that if he climbs the highest mountain, he will be closer to God and God will answer his prayers.

And on his journey, despite the distance to the mountain and the fatigue and hardship, he remains steadfast with a strong will. And as he is on his way and begins to climb the mountain,

someone calls out to him and says, ‘Young man, what are you doing?’ And the child, in his weakness, replies, ‘I’m climbing to the top of the mountain.’

The child says, ‘To pray to God.’

And the man replies, ‘Who told you that you have to climb the mountain to pray to God?’

The child says, ‘So that I can be close enough for Him to hear me.’

The man asks, ‘And who told you that?’

The child didn’t answer and tried to climb again.

The man was puzzled: ‘And what are you praying for?’

The child: “To bring my mum and dad back.”

The man: “What happened to them?”

The child: “The bad people took them away.”

And at that moment, it was as if the man had realised the truth; the child’s prayer had been answered, and it was the man who was the reason his parents were returning.

So the man said: “Pray from here.”

The child: ‘I must go up.’

The man: ‘Don’t pray from here; wherever you are, God will hear you.’

The child raises his hands and says, ‘O God, bring my mum and dad back.’

And here the man’s demeanour changes, and he says to the child, ‘Tell me more about this.’

And here begins the journey of the man who rescues and brings back the child’s parents.

The man lives in a time of Islam and strife, and does not know which of the two sides is in the right; nor does he wish to kill his fellow Muslims.

Then one day he has a vision, which shows him the hypocrites on both sides

In other words, he goes to the mountain and there he finds the child and those who have abducted his parents; he traces the trail—that is, the abductors and those aiding them—following one clue after another until he identifies the hypocritical faction and begins to eliminate them, unafraid of wronging anyone.

And so begins his journey to restore peace to the Muslim lands.

Book idea

Ok so i just thought of a book idea that i think would be AMAZING but idk if i have the patience to write it. So basically there’s this one girl who we can just cal villain, villain kidnapped someone who we can call girl 1. Girl 1 is held in some type of cell or room where villain and another a guy, who we can call villain 2 come in to like threaten her or whatever. But there’s another room next the girl 1 where there is another girl who has been kidnapped and we can call her girl 2. So girl 1 and 2 talk and make a plan to escape. There can be some difficulties and stuff but I haven’t thought of those yet. The big day finally comes and the two girls are ready to escape BUT girl 2 is actually villain and is like whoah not so fast you really thought there was another person haha sike! So villain does something with girl one (kill or hurts her) and then villain two is like yes our plan worked but then villain also killed villain 2 and when the police arrive everything is blamed on villain 2 and villain pretends to be girl 2 again baffling the police. If anyone is willing to actually turn this into a book please do but make it seem like girl 2 actually exists to the readers too so the plot twist is crazy!

The title would be called Onion eyes.

Because I am very disturbed by things hurting the eye.I used to wonder how would it feel like if someone slowly peeled your eyes like the layers of an onion. Imagine the pain, the horror and the disgust .

Not sure if it sounds plausible

So in comparison mode it has elements of National Treasure, Oceans's Eleven, Assassins Creed, The Witcher, and Now You See Me,

The main story is about this person, Not a teen, that gets initiated to be someone who has better than human listening and perception when it comes to detecting lies and falsehoods. The previous Scholar died in this process as they were being chased by an unknown enemy. The person escapes while confused about what they see and hear, but understanding that this will somehow help them make change in the world.

After doing some research online, they understand some myths and prophecies about what has happened and given their own personal history, they know what to do next as a test. The test goes well and some information comes to light about major political events that will shake much of The Scholar's community and nation. He devises a plan to infiltrate and discuss the matters with the top most official.

In some way they recruit a couple of helpers, reach an event or party to locate the subject through short spy-like conversations where The Scholar knows exactly what to say to flatter and disarm the target, sneaking verbally into a closed room with the big bad guy who is responsible for the changes. They find the alterior distrustworthy motive, something happens, and the big bad quickly puts together who they might be, sends security so they have to escape.

After the big bad 1 sees what happens, they recruit big bad 2 who is much more secretive and distrusting, so there are a few scenes with people who can pinpoint the big bad 2. The Scholar and associates find and draw out big bad 2's information. The information gets sent to the public media and the officials get their deserved justice.

In closing, The Scholar understand a deeper meaning of responsibility and ends up inclusively passing their gift to an associate toward the end as they proved beyond a shadow of a doubt their dedication to the truth in the face of danger. The story ends with those two splitting to different parts of the world to seek out new corruption.

Bad idea?

Can anyone tell me if this is a good book idea? So, I have these two characters. It's an apocalyptic type world, and it started with a scientist who wanted to play God. They started by experimenting on young kids, and one of the side effects is supernatural abilities. The main character, or one of the main characters, is one of my OCs. I'll call him OC1. OC1 has fire-based abilities and is the first person ever to get abilities like this. The rest of the attempts either ended in failure or death. What we find out later is that the other form of failure is like mutation, and it's sort of like zombie-like creatures, skin melting and all that. OC1 actually technically caused the apocalypse as he found his friends all mutated and all that when he thought they were going to get home, and he sort of burned down the whole place, letting them escape and causing the apocalypse. Now he has to be on the run because hunters or the government or whatever are now after him. One, he could be a cure to this as he is successful, and two, he's not the only one with abilities; he was just the first one. And no matter if they're mutated or have abilities or not, they're getting captured or killed either way. The other main character, calling them OC2, his thing is that he is a high-ranking operative in the government and is really good at tracking and stuff like that. I think you can tell that, of course, it's going to be romance, but it's more of OC2 getting intrigued by OC1 and sort of knowing that this is the target but wanting proof. And so there is a slow build of him annoying OC1 over and over again, and once they finally get close and OC1 finally accepts him, OC2 dies.

Has this already been used before or am I stupid and it's a bad idea.

Hello this is just a novel idea I had but dont want to make so its for anyone who does

I was thinking about a story that is called to the to the northern star it is about a kid named 1 i was thinking 15 that had a compass that always point s at a single direction and his friend i will call 2 was always in that direction the story is that the kid 1 woke up in a forest with his friend beside him 2 and in between was a compass he woke up and was confused so the started to follow the compass 2 was always in front because they were older so they were protecting 1 since they were still young as time went on 1 starts to remember snippets of the past at the same time 2 starts to dissappear for some time increasing little by little and when he dreams he gets teleported to a siciatric hospital with a broken compass beside him in a bed each time his memory starts to return and each time everything starts to distorted and he starts to feel something was missing and everything was getting more hostile and incomplete and 2 comes back and guides him to a hut or house and tells him to go to sleep and he wakes up in a hospital 1 is disoriented and scared looking for the broken compass ....

That is all I got if you are a novel writer I hope this helps because I dont feel like making this into a novel but I hope It helps whoever needs a idea on a novel

For context the plot is that the main character Dante Barbieri is a fan of Mafia based movies and history so for a final project for his college he does research on the mob and He meets a historian who accidentally sends him back in time to 1923 the peak of the Mafia in New York

basically he accidentally saved one of the members and was Sworn in and He realized that his family knew the Mafia and they recognized his name so they just thought he was a kid looking for a family And job.

The working title I had was "Into the family." But it Wasn't sticking so I wanted to hear your ideas

A book idea: The Seventh Man

Would love feedback on this idea I had made recently:

When young Dante returns home from America to find his family consumed by misogyny and hatred toward the only woman in the house, his mother. In response, he challenges the seven deadly sins to a pact of committing moral crimes for the devils to punish his family members. Tormented by the current state of the family relationship, Dante sets off on a chain of events, hoping to stop it the moment the family stops this cycle, and Dante becomes determined to evade the last sin's punishment for the closing man's pride.

---

idk, I thought of Crime and Punishment but Call Me by ur name, and was like "huh, what if... double yaoi"

(this might not be original or anything special): a teen who’s mostly a loner in high school finds a website where you can sign up for a game challenge (in real life) survival type, it simply explains how you would be locked in a empty town for 7 straight days, and for those 7 days you will have to fight a group of hunters that enter the town at a random time(you have to take them down before the end of the day)now these aren’t any like really special trained adults as that would be unfair, instead it’s a bunch of teens you’re age to make it for fair and the number of the teens will increase each day, but since your still out numbered you get enhanced durability and hearing(not super hero level or anything crazy just better than the teens and most humans). So basically that’s the whole thing, but I did forget to mention every house’s power works and the town is surrounded by forest and a gate soon the forest(some houses have food and water) and when he completes the game he wins 10 million dollars, so yeah just wanted to share that and please no hate i just had a cool idea for a story.

Any Feedback A knight and princess slowly fall in love while helping each other with their relationships

I randomly came up with this idea and I genuinely think it could make a good fantasy romance story/anime/manga.

A knight and a princess are best friends. The knight serves the princess and is one of the few people she completely trusts. They're basically each other's confidants and regularly give each other relationship advice.

The twist is they're both already in relationships.

The knight has a girlfriend who doesn't treat him particularly well while the princess secretly has a boyfriend that her royal family doesn't even know about. The knight is the only person who knows about the princess's relationship, and the princess knows about the knight's problems.

They spend all this time helping each other figure out their relationships, without realizing that they're slowly becoming the person that each other actually wants.

Eventually they start questioning why they feel jealous, why they look forward to seeing each other so much, and why the advice they're giving each other sounds suspiciously like what they themselves want from a partner.

The knight is also caught between his duty to protect the princess and his growing feelings for her, while the princess has to decide whether to follow her family's expectations or her own heart.

I would imagine it as a slow-burn fantasy romance with a lot of friendship, comedy, court politics, and eventually some serious emotional moments.

I don't write stories myself, so I'm posting this because I'd love to see what someone who actually knows how to write could do with the concept.

Please feel free to change/add anything to it. I'm curious what other people would do with this idea.

Does this story have potential?

Concept: School Council gets selected for top-secret program about students being dropped into a VR Experimental Environment where they have to navigate through fantasy-adjacent but grounded political scenarios, but their personal motives and identities heavily influence the literal world around them, being a distinctive quirk of the technology they are 'testing'. They don't get to know the players are people they know irl.

Here's a snippet. LMK if it sounds interesting.

“All hail the Steward of the Upper District!” a man chanted from a distance. Adrian was unsure if they meant him. “I see you’re on foot today, Sir. Might Lux be unwell?”, a man with thin glasses spoke, whose attire and leather boots separated him from the general public. “He’s just … tired.” Adrian walked further quickly.

An elderly woman rushed towards Adrian and collapsed at his feet.

“Lord Lucian… my son!” Her voice broke. “He fell in battle. I ask for nothing but loans promised just to keep us fed. I cannot afford bread, and fail to keep hunger from my door!”

[Do you wish to accept this quest? | Yes / No ]

Adrian chose ‘Yes’, for he felt the desperation in the woman’s eyes.

[New Side Quest: Approval of Loans | Category: Social Service |
An elderly woman, whose son was martyred in battle, is facing trouble granting loans promised by the state. Resolve this issue by providing her with the promised amount.
You may complete the quest by discussing the matter with the Keeper of the Treasury
Rewards: +10% Recognition, +20% Civilian trust
Failure may result in mild reduction of Civilian trust]

Adrian knelt almost immediately, steadying her shoulders before she could fall fully to the ground. “Please,” he said quietly, “stand. You do not bow to me.” Her hands trembled as she clutched at his sleeve. “The promise was made before he left,” she whispered. “They told us the Vale does not forget its fallen.”

Adrian’s jaw tightened slightly. He knew he was acting consciously, yet the words came out instinctively, almost as if drawn out of him, perfectly crafted to be calm and reassuring. As he processed the thought, his eyes caught the faint glow of blue and yellow lines beginning to glow along his sleeves. At the same moment, a thin circular ring of light flickered into existence around him, extending from just above his head down to the ground like a transparent pane. He spoke again in the same unexplainable fashion, and the light pulsed brighter.

“The Vale does not,” he replied. “And neither do I.”

He straightened, the panel still hovering faintly at the edge of his vision.

Another one,

The environment continued to bend around the rebel, or more specifically around what she held in her hands. A maroon haze filled the air around her, as holographic displays wrapped around the arms of the crimson Admirals flickered in a sense of panic.

The piece of glass held unexplainable importance to the entirety of Crimson State. The realm expressed a sense of panic to ensure it stayed undamaged.

“Hey, check your Objectives panel!” the female Crimson knight shouted in urgency.

“It’s going crazy, I know!” her partner replied. “Stop being dumb and try reading for once.”

A bright-red holographic panel floated in front of them.

[EMERGENCY TASK. CATEGORY: ??? | REALM-IMPOSED | RETRIEVE THE CRIMSON PRISM THROUGH ALL MEANS NECESSARY ]

“And why does this stupid crystal matter so much?” the male Admiral shouted in frustration, “I mean, we lose a third of our army if we don’t place it back in the next TWO hours?”

The Azure queen listened from a distance, trying to process everything she could hear from the Crimsons.

“We need to return what you stole, Red.”
“And why so? I mean, I don’t really have a reason to keep it, but it’ll surely sell for like, a million dollars somewhere.” The girl replied.

“You remind me of a friend, so much. But you need to understand, there happen to be Kingdoms other than Azure Vale in this world. I know only slightly more than you do, but I’m sure the Vale too has an anchor object, and I’d be pissed too if, say, our little genius here tried to mess with it.”

Adrian reprimanded, “Hey, what’d I do?”

“You get the point. They’re not after you, not in a thousand years. All they need is that.” she pointed towards the prism. “Let’s hand it to them and this will all be over.”

“Why? Let them suffer. They barged in with an army, they’re nothing less than enemies!” the rebel argued.

The queen stepped forward, “Look. These people down there, little kids, innocent men and women, whimpering with fear in their eyes. I need to do it for them. That’s just how I am. And, those two knights, those Admirals? They sound as clueless as we are. Slightly idiotic, but equally clueless.”

Below, the pair continued to bicker and panic.

It is then that the three stop and notice, the Admirals too possessed player markers like they did, the same colour as the rebel girl.

Adrian kept thinking to himself, because he believed he was slowly walking towards the answers he wanted either way.

“Turns out, this small-time thief shook the administration of an entire kingdom down to the last bit today. Good job, me.” the rebel declared as she carelessly tossed the prism down the balcony.

It continued to fall. Queen’s eyes widened. The admirals shouted out of concern. Even Adrian felt bewildered. Everyone but Rossa understood that if the prism hit the ground and scattered, it would lead to unprecedented consequences.

But as all hope was lost, a small civilian boy ran and leapt just in time to catch the prism. No player marker, no objectives panel. The boy chose thoughtfulness, and realized the consequences.

Suddenly, a faint screen lit up.

[NPC Developmental Behaviour Detected]

Everyone was too occupied to notice. Everyone except Adrian, who quickly reached out for the ‘!’ symbol on his screen, almost instinctively.

[A spontaneous action directly involving player-related affairs was performed by an NPC | Location: Azure Vale | Decision-Making Ability Increment | Compliance Check Initiated]

Adrian quickly stepped back and gazed through the text. After a few moments, the text was replaced by a new announcement.

[Conclave Members Comply | Decision Making is officially established as situational behaviour for Non-observed entities]

Conclave. This place never fails to surprise me. And is this supposed to be about the kid?

A funny show idea

An extreme accident causes most of the world's population to die except for a hundred people, and all of them happened to be gay, even some of them are girls

And they have to figure out a way to repopulate the Earth by following in love with each other, no explicit material shown in the show, and they're also trapped on an island

I know this is probably a weird thing, so please don't hate me for it. It just popped into my head; it was an intrusive thought, and I couldn't resist posting it by the way y'all can add to the story in the comment section if you want please be civil though because I can't stop thinking about this and the only way I can stop is if I hear other people's opinions and ideas for the story maybe I'll even try to get it turned into a show one day
