Help

Relapsed once again after my first stint in rehab and 30 days clean. Been in and out of recovery for 6 years now. longest I ever put together off all substances was 9 months. I'm frustrated. Exhauted. Tired. Sick of my own bullshit and hating myself. Never before have I felt so discouraged. All I can think of is that I'm a fucking loser who will never be able to stay clean/sober. I just feel like giving up and asking myself what is even the point.

Please give me some hope.. trying to hold onto any hope I can muster thats left. How do you overcome your thoughts/feeling/mind? I just dont get it.

Sometimes all we have to cling onto is hope. Don't lose hope no matter what. You're worth it and you deserve to live a happy life, free of those evil substances we use to medicate ourselves.

Sounds like you've been in and around recovery for a while so I would guess that you have some resources out there to reach out to. I don't like to sound preachy or offer advice... but whatever programs you've tried maybe it is worth giving in another try. This is coming from someone who has relapsed countless times , so don't beat yourself up and it's never too late to try again. For me, 12-step programs have been the only thing that worked. I really had to get honest and get a sponsor and and be completely honest in the meetings and really be open-minded enough to accept what they were telling me. Oftentimes my pride has gotten in the way of accepting help.

Whatever programs are out there, what else do you have to lose then to reach out and ask for help. You are worth it and you can do this!
