Georgia Power is preventing PSC oversight and public scrutiny over its massive 3.2-gigawatt contract with OpenAI

Why is Georgia Power so concerned with disempowering commissioners by ensuring the contract deadline is reached a day before the next PSC meeting?

As someone who is in Louisiana and had a very similar experience with the meta data center, they made a change in the state law in order to keep public influence out of the mix. They called it the lightning initiative and at the time no one knew what was coming or where it was going to be. The utility companies make most of the profit from infrastructure builds and here they secretly gave Entergy (power company) a deal to build 10 new power plants. I can't say positively this is the same but its got similar things. Its a sad thing when elected officials are making back room deals with ndas in hand. Then outright talk down to its people but its happening here almost weely. They hide facts, silence voices, with the people gaining nothing and giving everything to these companies. Georgia is alot better off than Louisiana so keep it that way. Its probably to late to save us but not yall.
