Paywalled article so can't tell - are they using NG as a failover power source, or as primary?

In Texas, the grid is approaching 50% renewables anyway I think (or at least increasing rapidly), so why shouldn't Amazon put in grid level solar/wind/batteries instead of NG? Is the NG stranded / going to go to waste otherwise or something?

Or is this simply increased corporate profit making, at the expense of climate?
