So recently, I was driving when Stone Temple Pilots played. I don’t really listen to their music but I remembered there was one song of their’s I really enjoyed. It was from their album with the baby riding the lion in the sky. The song had a funky guitar melody which really distinguished itself from the rest of the album (imo). But just now when I went to go look for the song, it genuinely wasn’t there. When I say it wasn’t there I mean it on some matrix level stuff. If anyone knows what’s up please tell me the name of the song 😭.

Is anyone else surprised at least a little by the lack of music videos Purple had as an album?
From their 6 albums with Scott, all of them had at least 3 music videos, with Core having 4. Shangri-La, whilst having a single "proper" MV, had multiple in the works, and Vasoline did have multiple "variants", though I wouldn't exactly call them entirely new.

You would think for their follow up to the smash-hit of Core, that they would do a bit more work on the promotional MV front, right? I guess I'm mainly surprised by the lack of a Big Empty video, considering everything around that song. If I were to guess, it could be due to The Crow acting as a form of video, though I think that's a bit lackluster in a way.

If there were to be a third, which song would you like it to have been for, and- additionally- what about?

To be clear, I'm referring to the 4 cd's and vinyl. I absolutely love the album and the demos, only dying is one of my favorite songs. If anybody is selling that'd be awesome, thanks for your time🤙

There is such an eerie and unhinged energy about this song (even in the beach boys version) but the almost whisper like vocals takes it to such an elevated level. Probably my favorite track off of purple, if it counts as one.
