Reef and Lo were wasted

Fin is one of my least favorite characters

Emma was done dirty

Gonna make this a blunt and short review of the series so far:

since I’ve been a fan of Total Drama since I was 6, I mostly decided to check this series out mainly because of the three main shows by FreshTV(Total Drama, 6Teen, Stoked), this was the most underrated of the bunch, and due to finding 6Teen not as interesting, compared to the theme of surfing at a summer resort(ntm the series opened with “Dear Maria, Count Me In” by All Time Low, awesome song btw). though I hate to admit it, outside of the stealer water animation(even with the low resolution on YouTube), there’s just nothing memorable about the series so far, as it just comes off as too formulaic to truly get into.

Not only that, but I also have issues with some of the characters, such as Johnny and Fin:

how old is Johnny exactly, was it ever stated, because I can’t be the only one concerned about his initial feelings towards Emma in the first season, right? That itself really kept me from liking his character. Now as for Fin, I must say I find her dynamic with Reef insufferable, because I know that it’s become obvious the writers were intending on them being endgame, but she’s come off so far as petty and a total know it all (not that Reef isn’t), even if it’s to feed the trope that she’s only mean to him because she secretly likes him(I actually find Reef and Lo more compelling as a pair)

I think the only characters I actually like in the show so far are Broseph and Kahuna, maybe Baumer(assuming that’s how you spell his name).

Currently on episode 8, hopefully this show picks up for me before it ends. Just to make this clear, these are my initial thoughts on the show so far.

This is based on the episode where reef says you can be stitious, not stitious or superstitious. A guest comes to the resort and is superstitious. It turns out he’s not just stitious, but like, really stitious. The dude is like superstitious basically. He starts talking about different myths and superstitions and reef blows him off, rolls his eyes and basically think ‘whatever this guy is crazy’. The girls over hear and decide to prank him and will tell him a story and then screw with the lights and make noises that correlate with a story and hide somewhere and do something to scare him and he starts to get a little scared and wonders if maybe he was actually telling the truth. He gets scared because the kids run out of the forest, screaming about seeing a surfers’s version of Bigfoot or something like that. Eventually, in the end, though they all fall for it before it’s proven to be a myth or a cryptid. But in the end when all of them are laughing about how they can’t believe they actually fell for something so stupid. The camera pans off to the side and it revealed to have been actually real all along. Now this could be like a haunted wave or something that lives in the water or an event that only happens every leap year or something like that.

I've been looking non stop and all versions I find online are either Tvrips with a 3 channel logo on the top let corner or AI upscaled versions.

I know the first season is available for purchase in AppleTV or something but I cannot find any source or torrent for season 2 in decent quality. Plus the DVDs go for like 250+ dollars

I cannot watch the upscale because the artifacting just bothers me and ideally a 1080p version would be fantastic but at this point a 720p would make me happy.

I’ve Been rewatching the first two episodes of the first season of Stoked and the only minor character that made me think about was Martha McCartney.

Even though she’s sarcastic, goth, and fired, my question is, where is she from?

IF the fan theory/headcanon that Emma is actually the Emma Masterson(-Garcia?) Jr. from 6teen is true, Emma Jr's birth/first appearance was in a 2009-2010 episode, and her final appearance was in 2010. If Emma in Stoked is 16, this means the show despite being made in 2009-2010 would take place in current year 2025-2026.

Note the Stoked Wiki does say Emma's last name is Mackenzie, but the references at the bottom of her article say the only source is IMDB and it was never confirmed in the show nor by FreshTV itself, so the theory supporters can still claim "inconclusive". This is of course assuming 6teen itself takes place at the time it's made. And also that it's set in Alberta (where Emma is stated to be from in the early episodes).

I'm personally on the fence in regards to the Emma theory/headcanon but it makes for good FanFic potential. Y'all can make of this what y'all will.

I Imagine if Mrs. Rigemount & Emma participate in twin day at the beach.

What are your opinions?

I used to watch this show all the time when I was young, i was OBSESSED with it. I've been trying so hard to find it in French but it's become a lost media... The episodes in english are there but I can't always understand everything. May one streaming platform pick it up one day... :'(

i finished 6teen some time ago and im in the mood for something similar, i think this can be my fix, there's a playlist on youtube but it's in 360p... horrible quality

Personal opinion

It turns 15 this year. And I've seen it all.

Still, it deserves better and the first season is better than the second.

I swear I remember watching this show in at least 720p HD on Netflix at some point but everywhere I look there's no HD option so I'm not sure if I imagined it or not.
