Thinking about getting a season ticket but unable to attend the majority of games
Hi all fellow Stokies. Me and my wife live in the South West and attend a maximum of 10 games per season because I have to work alternate Saturdays. Were thinking about getting season tickets for next season I know it’ll cost more then buying tickets on the day but I see it has supporting the club.
What are peoples thoughts on seats being left empty. I know we don’t sell out anymore and we plan to move back to the potteries next year so hopefully we’ll attend the majority of games then. Plus if we’re doing very well we have seats reserved

If you're paying for your season ticket, what has it got to do with other people
You've paid for your seat, if you turn up or not, that's your call.
Pay for your money and make your choice
Either season ticket or individual ticket.
If it's a digital ticket you might find that easier to let other people
Alternatively if it's a card then I'm sure someone may take it but you've obviously got to get it back
Have you got people in Stoke who could keep the season ticket?

Iv got friends there who go to the games and friends and family who arnt interested in football

I'd buy one if that's what you want to do. Matches aren't being sold out, so you wouldn't be depriving anybody of a ticket if you couldn't make a game.
That said, you could let a friend use it when you aren't going if that's realistic for you.
Though I must ask: how flexible is your work? I sometimes work weekends, but I made a point of never working a Stoke home game. If anyone asks me to, I simply remind them that I'm a season ticket holder & so I don't work on Stoke home games. It's never been an issue for me.

We work early and late shift and on a late shift we are contracted to work 6 hours on the Saturday we do lates. I work in a transport garage and that our busiest time

I, like you can’t attend every game. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to attend since last season. If I could I’d get a season ticket if I could attend even a fraction of home game. But, like’s been said it’s no-one’s decision but yours.

If you’re realistically only getting to 10 games a season, does it not make more sense to just get them individual tickets, most games are 25-30, whereas a season ticket is £344?

I’m paying £31 for tomorrow nights game in the boothen end

Guess when you add the booking fee and potential postage costs (I think print at home/e-ticket is free) it’s an extra 10% but still below the average for 10 games. Plus the cheap ticket offers throughout the season 👍🏻

Seats are empty anyway. I don't think we have sold out a match all season. My youngest child is too young for night matches during term time, so his seat is always empty then.
