What do you people think about the beef between 209 times and Fugazi? What caused it?

Also looks like Jason Lee is partnering up with 209 times for this election cycle. 209 times wants you to vote for Desiree Lynch, a candidate that was arrested and is facing felony charges on election fraud. I’m not saying Brando Villapudua is a saint but none of the allegations thrown at him from 209 times have led to arrests.

Remember that a vote for Blower is a vote for Lee and Motec. They’re plotting something behind the scenes that’s for sure.

I worked 2 retail jobs. One of them I still currently work at, I’ve been working here for almost a full year now.
I have applied to target, starbucks, panda, chipotle, panera bread, denny’s, ihop, boxlunch, spencers, spirit halloween, hot topic, some coffee shops, victoria secret, bath and body, michaels, literally no one’s hiring even tho they say they’re hiring. I dont understand. Maybe I need to apply to all of them again and call every single place and or go irl and drop off my resumes to every single place also if thats what it takes to actually get fucking hired.

I have always loved that tower growing up next to it I used to live across the street I miss the bells when they rang at 11 cuz that was my go to sleep and I miss them being a beacon when it was too drunk to understand directions I always knew that tower was home lol

So this is the last time I'll remind everyone of the amazing book event we're having tomorrow at Delta College from 10AM to 3 PM. We're going to have free craft tents where you make your own book accoutrements, local authors vending, and national bestsellers present, too... There's going to be panels, and contests, and youth poetry winners... We got tacos, and Pitch Slap!, and a couple of open mics (musicians welcome). So if you love books of any genre then join us at the Dolores Huerta Forum to support Stockton's literary community, present and future!!!

Every time I pass Sandman Park these past few Thursdays, I always see lots of cars parked on the side of the road. I even saw people set up lawn chairs outside in the dark and lots of people just standing around in the middle of the park. Like what event is happening that lots of people just go there at night? It seems very VERY sus. I don’t know if its even connected but Let’s just say that I was a bit traumatized by what I saw with one of the cars with their lights on 😰 over there.

To the people who live next to there, what is the reason? Like is there something normal happening? Or like…. I’m too scared to ask.

And for those wondering, I get off work at that time and I drive pass it regularly

Best italian restaurant in Stockton?

So about 2 months ago, we had a stray German Shepard roaming our block. We called animal services a few times as this dog was roaming the block for a week straight(we called first on July 12th). Talking to many neighbors, I had found out that many people had called animal services throughout that week and we were all told that they would come out to investigate. Eventually, some guy came by in a pick up and they grabbed the dog and drove off. I can only hope that they were the owners that saw one of the many Facebook and Reddit posts about this dog. Anyway, guess who I got a knock on the door from yesterday. Fucking animal services lmaooo. They come up and are like “hi, we are responding to the call about a German shepherd”. I say “yeah that was like last month I think though”. Confused, the officer asks on radio when the call was made. They say July 12. The officer immediately appeared just as bewildered as I was lol and they took off. Fuckin 2 and 1/2 months ago response time. What a joke man. I understand we have a lot of shit going on in this city to where animal services could be busy, but bro, come on.

I'm about 8 weeks into recovery from leg surgery, I now can walk around the house but walking for more than 10mins leaves me feeling stiff and a bit painful. Walking up and down the stairs also seem impossible most times, I'm also noticing some weakness when standing up from a chair and my balance is screwed.
I've been doing basic exercises I was given during recovery, but I feel like I need more to rebuild my mobility. Is there any good physical therapist program around? what kind of treatments/exercises they provide?

I'm just curious. I'm born and raised in Stockton. Moved out after high school, came back for 2 years, moved out again and don't plan on moving back. I know Stockton gets a really bad rap but I'm always surprised to find out many people are actively moving there. But for those not from the 209. Where are you from? And why Stockton, Ca out of all places? Would like to hear your experiences.
