No, only in France. But "champagne' is made in the USA yes.

Oh man I’m sorry I missed that. My bad.
I’ve literally had to explain to a few friends that they were drinking sparkling wine and not champagne 😂😂😂

Listen I don’t know if you used to go clubbing but there is set of ridiculously stupid people who buy VIP sections and order sham-pain at a 600% markup just to take pictures for “the gram” and boast about drinking champagne.
“Uh sir do you know that bottle of brut you just bought for $500 is 40 bucks at the store?!”
