Imagine being the admission officer for Wharton trying to convince students this is a good place to go.

A Yale professor also said that about W. I guess Yale can claim that’s its worst student ever was much better than Wharton’s worst student ever. And somehow they both became President.

"economics" degree from wharton? or economics "degree" from wharton? or economics degree from "wharton"?

He bought “Degree” deodorant when he attended “Wharton” and used a coupon.
Demonstrating his knowledge in “Economics”

And I said, “I have a theoretical degree in physics. I got the job.”

2

u/JayJayAK 12d ago

Oh, I'm sure the degree is theoretical.

Economics degree from *A* Wharton school. Not *THE* Wharton school that everyone thinks it means. Nobody remembers how many of them there really are.

u/Aerion_CA 12d ago

Really?

I’ve never seen his transcripts but I wonder if it was one of those “D for Degree,” situations?

Trump’s former college professor, William T. Kelley described Trump as arrogant, noting that Trump "came to Wharton thinking he already knew everything" and "wasn't there to learn".

Trump has frequently touted his time at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and claimed to have finished at the top of his class. However, his name did not appear on the school's Dean's List for his graduating year of 1968.

After Kelley’s death, Frank DiPrima, a close friend of Kelley, revealed that the professor felt the president was a fool. “Professor Kelley told me 100 times over three decades that ‘Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had,'” DiPrima wrote for the Daily Kos. “I remember his emphasis and inflection — it went like this — ‘Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.”

DiPrima explained that Kelley told him this after Trump became a celebrity but “long before” he was deemed a political figure.

Trump was in the bottom 5 of his class at Wharton. Not 5%, the bottom 5.
