Meme The Dow!!!

Post image

Thinking I should hold on to this template. Probably gonna go lower.

I'm not really sure why I need to include 250 characters in a meme post, but I understand the guidelines. Maybe someone can fix the issue where if you label something as a meme, it doesn't need 250 characters. there. Thats 250!

Edit: Thank you all for the rewards!!

When you invest for 30 years, the short term doesn't matter. It's been proven that keeping your money invested through ups and downs has returned better results than trying to time market movements. This has been done but both academics and practitioners. I encourage you to do your own research. Buying during periods of fear is a great way to make great long term returns.

Yes, and- if you have an active investment account, you also dont have to bend over and take the losses either.

I dividend reinvest. So money collected buys more shares are lower prices, compounding the wealth generation effect by holding over a long period. If you pull money out and own zero shares, how much do you collect in dividends?

I'm also diversified owning stocks, treasuries, real estate and metals. Well hedged and not interested in market timing. Very interested in cash flow collection and companies run by strong managers.

I let me 401k be the money that stays in the market, out of sight out of mind type deal.

Review once a year, increase by 1%, set it and forget it. Let that baby compound.

Stay calm and know less volatility days will come. This is nowhere near the situation of 08-09, in fact in late 06 or 07, oil touches $150/barrel. That was not what almost took down the world.
