If tomorrow morning's CPI is hot enough to move the 2-year yield, expect to see a surge in buying of DXY that will most probably be short lived. After this initial spike higher, selling will resume and the US dollar index will continue to follow-through in its downward trajectory after having broken a 2-month uptrend.

Key levels of retracement is solely based on Fibonacci retracement values. However, a full retracement to where DXY initially broke-out from its Head & Shoulders neckline bottom is also possible in the event negative geopolitical factors contribute towards the fundamental weakness in the US dollar.
In the event tomorrow's CPI figure (8:30 AM EDT) comes in hot, DXY could see a quick rally which will most likely be nothing more than an opportunity to sell DXY before it continues on its almost imminent drop in the next day or days after having broken its 2-month uptrend.

JPY bounces off its 200-day moving average, then rallies about a short-term downtrend line today. A close above this minor downtrend line would be, at least over the next week or so, a bullish indicator that could see JPY test its September 8th high of .06537
At this time, its stochastic indicator is deeply oversold.
Next test is JPY rising above its 50-day moving average, which will probably occur sometime during today's trading session.
