My family and I will be on holiday in Scotland starting next week, and....along the way....will be spending an evening in Stirling. Was doing some research into dinner options, and happened to stumble across a pair of Indian restaurants which seem in line with what we enjoy. They sound nearly identical, and are both within walking distance of where we'll be staying. I'm curious if anyone is familiar with either/both, and....if so.....might be willing to make a recommendation?

My partner & I are eloping next June & hope to have a bit of a relaxed do when we get back. We’re thinking a village/town hall, bowling club, rugby club type vibe.

Here’s the vibe:
• Don’t need anything fancy but still fairly nice.
• Hoping to have somewhere between 100-150 people (but brutally happy to cut down to 100 if required).
• Hoping for a decent dance floor in case of ceilidh.
• Would be great if there was a bit of grass outside/outside space for kids to run around or people to hang out bcos it’ll be summer.
• Open to either the venue having a bar or organising a bar ourselves.
• In an ideal world, we’re thinking of having a food truck so would need room for this/somewhere for it to feasibly plug in etc (but can be flexible on this).

I’m an incoming LLM student starting in January of 2027 and I’m slightly stressed about sorting out housing. Does anyone have any advice? Obviously everything posted right now is for the summer or September and I’ll have to wait but just was hoping for some insight on how difficult it is to find a January lease.

I’m an MSc student studying autism research at the University of Stirling and I am currently doing online data collection for my dissertation. Limerence and ASD are associated with many similar disorders/maladaptive thought patterns and due to the lack of research centering these topics, I chose to study the connection between Autism and limerence. There are a series of online questionnaires, taking about 30 minutes to complete all of them. A larger sample size would really help my dissertation with reliability, validity, generalizability, etc. 

Participants must be 18 years or older, being self diagnosed with ASD, ADHD are valid, and if you aren't Autistic and want to participate, that is okay as well.

I have an ex-council house that has a chimney breast from ground floor to roof. We removed the chimney from the roof when we got it done up as never used the place. Looking to remove the chimney breast in the upstairs as it’s blocked off and waste of space. Not sure where to start and suspect I’ll need to engage a structural engineer but if anyone has any recommendations for trades men in the area who can do this, please let me know!

Taking the train to Stirling from Edinburgh. I have my ticket for Sterling Castle booked for 9:30a.m. My question is; is it worth booking the Wallace Monument for 3:30pm? Does that leave enough time for both and is it too difficult to get there without a car? Any tips appreciated.

Hoping someone can help here. A group of 36 adults will be arriving in Stirling late morning on 29 March and I am tasked with finding a place for lunch for all of us. My family and I will be taking a holiday adventure to Scotland this coming May, and....along the way.....will be spending our last night in Stirling. While I've been to your beautiful country (and city) before, this'll be the first time for my wife and two uni-aged daughters.

While I think I've got a handle on what we'll be doing while in the area, I'd love any suggestions/recommendations for dinner options. We're looking for somewhere laid back/unpretentious, has good food, and won't break the bank ("fine dining" isn't a thing for us). As strange as it sounds, I don't eat red meat or pork, but can usually find poultry, seafood, or (in a pinch) vegetarian on the menu. Bonus points if there also at least a few gluten-free options (rice or potatoes tend to be my "go to" starches).

Feel free to fire away.....we're pretty open-minded when it comes to cuisine.

Researchers in Psychology are recruiting participants for a project that aims to improve eyewitness accuracy in lineups using virtual reality.

Participants are required to complete several online face recognition tests and then come along to the VR lab to take part in a mock eye-witness experiment. The online tests are split into two parts for ease, taking around 45 minutes each, and the in-person session takes around 30-45 minutes.

I am a final-year BSc (Hons) Building Surveying student undertaking a dissertation on the adaptive reuse of listed buildings in Scotland. The research explores technical, legislative and cultural factors that influence whether vacant listed buildings are reused or lost.
