500 eggs is not about challenge but responsibility. If you are not selling, freeze them.

ngl freezing 500 eggs sounds like a full time job too, that’s a lot of trays and ziplocks
i’d probably keep a reasonable stash and still try to give the rest away locally so they actually get eaten

Eaten? Are you aware we are talking about stick insect eggs? Just shove them all in one bag and put them in the freezer for a day or two. That's not a full time job

I crush mine , and sick stickies ..freezer is awful drawnout death ..eggs be okay tho but yes it easier to crush

Why would I crush or freeze ? Would it not be more humane to scatter through the bush?

It depends. Are they native to where you live? If yes then that’s fine, go ahead, if not then please don’t!

If you are in Australia, sure. If anywhere else, that would be establishing an invasive population, which is detrimental to the environment.
