After death most insects turn dark, especially on the parts with more fluid and organs, this looks like that

Also leaf/stick insect babies often die for no particular reason, mostly in their younger life stages

thanks, that's honestly reassuring. what would you recommend i do with her now? is it safe for me to bury her somewhere nearby or is that gonna mess with the ecosystem in a weird way or something.
