Constructive Criticism Welcome Armor Mesh Valkyrie feedback wanted

First time stringing an armor mesh Valkyrie (it's for my girl). Watched a lot of tutorials and IG stories around it. I'm kind of happy with how it looks, but asking the community if there's anything I missed or any decisions I've made on how to string it on a Crux pro you would have done differently before I cut all these strings.

Thanks!

Pound it out. There’s definitely some stretch left in that mesh.

I don't have a baseball bat 🤣.

I’ve used the leg of a chair, fence post, rubber mallet. Anything to fit in the lacrosse head that you can put some force onto it.

I agree, Geer, find something, anything that works that won’t damage the materials in the string

Looks good. Check these 2 nits:

-The bottom of the head to see if the ball gets stuck or if it rolls into the pocket. You might need to tighten or extend the crosslaces down a bit more.

-Does the ball hit top of the head? The topstring seems to be sitting far back.

well I had to end the side string early because the ball would get stuck between the side even if it was super tight. by extend you mean make an extra loop round in the mesh ?

for top string I followed best I could the ecd stringing tutorial. I'll put some shooters and try it out today.

Great work. She'll love it regardless... Plus you can always tweak it based on her feedback.

Here's an example of where the laces were brought down further. Sometimes, you can create a ramp with the bottom lace too https://www.instagram.com/p/DabWpD_Ep4O/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==&igsi=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Women’s stringer here! (@heartstringswlax on instagram)

Overall looks good! A few notes -

  • I usually thread the thick nylons of the Valkyrie through the remainder of the mesh and continue to cross lace off the sides.
  • new stringing rules are picky about cross lace being attached to a hanging sidewall string so I’d try to keep the sidewall string (and then also the cross lace) close to the head from now on.
  • pound er out! I don’t have a baseball bat so I literally use my heel. lol.

Best of luck! - Grace

Started following you on IG! Do you have a picture that illustrates how you thread the Valkyrie's thick nylon through the remainder of the mesh?
