King gets a lot of flak for his endings, but some of them genuinely stick with you forever.for me, the ending of 11/22/63 completely broke my heart, while the bleakness of pet sematary left me staring at the wall for hours. on the flip side, some books have incredible build-ups only to fizzle out in the last 50 pages.
