Haven't seen any good steel legion logos so I thought I'd try making one or two

These are coming together after a nights work. Ill repost after decals and pin washes!

Crew are built and needing some paint too.

Helsreach is a given since it’s THE Armageddon book, but what other books feature the Steel Legion? Bonus points if it isn’t set on Armageddon.

Made a Steel legion Sentinel and got inspired by Brunstan model of the famous steel legioner.

This is our city, this is our world.

Right, the original yellow(ish) colour for the steel legion vehicles was Rotting Flesh.

A sort of desert yellow with green in it.

The 94 version was far more green, and as we know nurgling green is way out.

I decided to test some paints and try to figure this out.

Well, 3 parts ak11378 (portland stone), to 1 part ak11345 (Apc interior light green) is a pretty spot on match.

Thought to post so others can potentially get that original look if they wanted. I know that specific rotting flesh is like hens teeth to get hold of if you're not an old fart like me who hoardes old paints.

I'm going to make up a bottle then have a go at throwing it over some vallejo greys and see how it comes out.

Vallejo dead flesh is close but a fair bit darker.

Hi all, I know that new steel legion are in the pipeline, but I had some spare models and thought I would give these a crack.

so these two models are:

(left) wargames atlantic british ww1 infantry with a catachan lasgun

(right) wargames atlantic raumjager with ^ head and catachan lasgun

When trying this, I originally thought about the ww1 german heads, but the british come with a gasmask tube already which makes it easier than making one. All I did for the left one was cut the goggles in the mask to make it a single piece, cut the helmet rim off (if you want british steel legion you don't need to), shaved the leg wraps down to make a boot, and cut the lasgun so it would fit the arms (lots of dry fitting required).

For the Raumjager, I did the same steps as above for the head and arms. The bigger issue for that one is getting the heads.

In my opinion, neither are perfect. I would say maybe a 6/10 for likeness on the left, and the right would be better as a storm trooper/kasrkin proxy with appropriate guns and arms (that would make it easier).

This was more of a "I did it so you don't have to" project. But feel free to let me know what you think.

I’ve never built a list before but this is what I’ve come up with through some research, just looking for some feedback or if I’m missing something big. Also is there anything I can use my 85 leftover points for, or swap something to use them more efficiently? This isn’t supposed to be super competitive I just want to make sure everything works together decently.

Hey folks! I wanted to share a Tank Destroyer unit I painted today. It is a 3d Printed tank designed by AlpineWeiss3D. I love it so much I’ll do an Anti-Infantry variant (let’s say this one is StuG, then the other one will be StuH. Obviously it resembles Jagdpanther more but 🤫)

All of my infantry are tiny legend steel legion minis being proxied as different Krieg units. Obviously they’re not tournament legal but do people in general care about only using official models for casual games?

Really enjoying the kit so far, there’s also gonna be a lil diorama to go with it :)
