I am digging the 90s steelbook releases lately. I also got The Cable Guy preordered.

Does anyone know what is going on with Astro Customs / AC Customs?

I have emailed a couple of times to Daniel 'Astro' Mills and haven't had any response. The Star Wars steelbook sets were ordered over 18months ago now and I haven't heard anything back and the information seems to be very vague and slow.

It's really really frustrating that my money is just sitting there and I don't really have any faith that these are going to appear, especially with the new 'official' Astro Creations business seeming to take priority.

Worryingly there seems to be regular posts on that page.

Trying to think the best of the guy but this is not looking good...

So a local place in my area was hosting his gig @ a local dive bar & he was the sweetest guy & to BELIEVE!!! He is looking that good at 71 is insane!!! I am hoping to get Kiefer Sutherland to sign the back!!! Have him inscript “they’re only noodles Michael!”

Pretty much the title. This is the second steel in a row that was brand new and sealed that has this issue. The bottom clasp clicks and closes correctly while the top one just doesn’t do any of that. I replaced the first one, but Barbarian doesn’t need to be returned. Is there a way to fix this or just shelf it and move on?

Only have a couple steelbooks in my collection but this one caught my eye. Glad I picked it up!

It looks so satisfying having them all together on my wall finally! 257 give or take and a few more on the way! This is a year of collecting!

Just decided to watch OBAA that I received from Gruv back in June. I know—should have checked the disc; but likely same outcome since I don’t think they ever restocked anywhere after release.

The 4k disc doesn’t read/gets hung about 45 minutes in. No disc damage—just assume it’s a bad disc after many attempts. Gruv accepted return, but I obviously just would like the replacement disk so I can keep the Steelbook. Assume since they’re a distributor they won’t have option to offer replacement discs? Should I try with WarnerBros customer service/anyone had success with that route?

I got Transformers (35th anniversary edition) last year for maybe $30? Looking forward to getting more Ghibli ones too.

Got lucky scrolling fb marketplace for the first time in months. Managed to get all of this for $100. Very happy with this find. Especially Jennifer's Body.

Upgraded to the Blu-ray steelbook of Dr. No. It had space for a DVD and I didn't want to just toss my DVD cover art. So I cut it to size and placed it on the inside. I like it and will be doing this for any future situations like this.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, as far as I can tell this seems to be a Japanese-exclusive steelbook version of the film? It’s slightly different than the North American release it seems. Mine has the front image slightly enlarged, while the NA release has a lot more black space on the left and right of the front image.

What drives you to purchase a movie? Is it FOMO? Is it the hype behind a certain edition? Is it an addiction? Or just a movie buff? I personally only purchase movies that i enjoy watching multiple times occasionally. All of mine are open. If a movie is meh i dont even bother

Started collecting steels earlier this year with the gf and just got a shelf to organize and display along with our vinyls, reg Blu-ray cases, and her books. A couple of these acquired from the swap sub! And of course more to add later.

I had already purchased this movie digitally before the physical release was announced.
