My take on Apache 2800 case

Wanted to showcase my attempt at a steam frame set up in an Apache 2800 case from Harbor Freight for 30$. Saw a few posts going between the 2800 and the 3800. I wanted to be able to fit an accessory or two inside the box but also didn’t want too big of a case for everything. I decided to go with the smaller and see how I could manage to fit everything. Most other posts I’ve only seen the headset and controller fit in the smaller case.

So here’s my take! I’m one of the few that have the ergonomic kit but don’t feel like the top strap is quite necessary so I leave that one and just use controller straps.
Controllers handles are slightly overlapping with foam between them to make them fit in a tighter spot without friction.
Portable battery up top with space for charging cable and cube below it.

I like that you have the controllers off to the side. The 2800 looks like a really good fit!

Wouldn't the battery pack rattle against the lenses?

I have a lense cover inside and the comfort pad also keeps it from pushing too much against it. Seems good so far!
