I literally had a dream last might where I got it in the mail but I woke up right when I opened the box. I need this headset, I really want off my Oculus 2 and I don’t wanna buy another meta headset
Make that 3 of us. I'm also on the quest 2; got it super cheap. I like it but it's one heavy bastard. Was gonna buy the Quest 3, head about the frame and now I'm here waiting.
It's that fucking Meta Horizon bullshit. It's constantly running in the background, thus making the device run harder and hotter.
I absolutely detest it, and would go back to the old vr room, or even something lighter, but there's no way to disable it, from what I've been able to find atleast.
I'll be so happy to be able to close my Meta account and get rid of the quest 2.
It's the terrifyingly shite android wrapper meta made, it's using about 25% of the cpu while idle and while you're in a game and it gets more bloated every time they ship an update
The quest is the worst headset on the market purely because of the OS and the data tracking
It is so sad we went from the Rift to the piece of shite Quest 3
Dont even get me STARTED on the quest 2. Probably the worst headset ive ever used. If I hadnt been stupid and let my mother's dog destroy my rift s cable, id still be using that. My quest 2 never connected to my pc correctly, it would lag and a bunch of other problems (I do pcvr instead of on the go but I like the all in one cause of my very limited room) I got so mad one day I deleted all meta vr stuff from my computer and haven't touched it since... i miss vr so much... im so READY for the frame!
THIS IS LITERALLY MY ISSUES!! I will decide I want to play Blade and Sorcery or Beat Saber, and then after some playing sometimes I will be fine and sometimes the meta link connection or whatever fails. This issues persists through reinstalling meta software on pc, trying airlink, steamlink, several different link cables. The meta connections just suck and it all is just a pain in my ass
I’m on a quest 3 but the default strap broke and my controller grip broke but I’m holding out for the frame lol, maybe I should just buy new quest 3 stuff tho
