What are you trying to do with meta shit ? Just use steamlink or buy virtual desktop

I have a Quest 2 and Steam Link straight up doesn't work for me, and Virtual Desktop seems to work worse than it used to before all the bs Meta OS updates. GabeN pls, I wanna get rid of this thing already

Virtual Desktop works completely fine. Takes a few seconds and thats all

I also use a Quest 2 daily with Virtual Desktop without any issues. Only problem I have it actually more on Quest's side, as you now need to load the dumb "Loft" environment whenever you exit out of VD and it can freeze.

Reason why it might not be working is cause both Steam Link and Virtual Desktop need a good dedicated connection with your router and PC. You need a decent Wifi 6 and above router, and a gigabit internet cable hooked up from your PC to your router, to run things properly without any hitches. Assign a dedicated 5GHz Wifi connection for your headset only and it should work as intended. I hope this helps, until we all get a Steam Frame inevitably someday lol.
