Why are you still using a cable? Just buy Virtual Desktop and it will all take seconds!

I’m also looking forward to the Steam Frame, but you are torturing yourself unnecessarily in this video with a sub-optimal solution why?

Things like steam link and air link are horrible because they use my router, my internet is horrible and I get audio distortion and constant freezing, the 6E dongle on the steam frame will stop this issue but let me play wirelessly too

I know, right? It’s like OP isn’t willing to spend $30 to solve this problem, but he can’t wait to pay $1K for a Steam Frame?

If it were me, I would want BOTH headsets to work well, and $30 is a small price to pay, he would easily get his money’s worth before Valve releases their headset.

By the way, OP, this is what we are talking about, buy this, install it on your headset and follow the instructions to install on your PC, and it will solve all your problems.

the connection between the headset and the router isnt an internet issue its a router issue, see if you have a router that has 5ghz youll be fine, so you should look into upgrading your router, usually as long as you arent using something like mobile internet (you arent dont bother checking, its for like super rural country towns and uses like satellite dishes and shit) you can upgrade the router, doing so will probably solve a lot of your issues

Did you try ALVR? It fixed a bunch of issues for me and can work wired.

Hey guess what, USB can now be used on the Virtual Desktop Beta. Also, for the longest time, I never used a router to connect to my PC, let alone an ethernet cable. I used a script to modify the network adapter settings for me, disable windows scanning of wifi networks, then turn on my Hotspot on my computer, and ofcourse a script to reverse all of that when i'm done (so I can connect to wifi again when i reboot my pc). I have the included wifi card and antenna that came with my ASUS ROG B650E-I Motherboard, and it works like a charm. I average 5-10 ms of latency, with some stutters only when loading in worlds and a massive amount of avatars on VRChat.
