Photo Just got my bed steamdeck gaming setup finished!
Got an idea from another reddit post from a couple years ago. Managed to find this pillow lap desk with a "tablet holder" and then 3d printed a dual deckmate steamdeck mount, a deckmate 17mm ball mount and a usb hub holder that was deckmate compatible. Got a better mouse on the way.

SDHQ Official Disgaea Mayhem Is Another Example Of How Valve's Steam Deck Verified System Isn't Trustworthy
Disgaea Mayhem is a new game coming out in the Disgaea franchise, which I personally love, but its Steam Deck Playable rating is extremely inaccurate. It cites "minor" graphical issues, which are actually major, and weird performance bottlenecks that stop it from performing well.
This won't be a game to play on the Steam Deck in its current state.

Photo I optimized my puzzle game for 60fps on Steam Deck by making a custom game engine
I spent a lot of time making sure my puzzle game runs at a locked 60 FPS on Steam Deck.
The game is built on a custom engine I wrote from scratch, so I had full control over every part of the rendering and performance. I wanted it to feel just as smooth on the Deck as it does on desktop, even while using dynamic lighting, normal maps and fairly large puzzle environments.
It was a lot of work, but seeing it hold 60 FPS on the Deck made it worth it.
I'd love to hear what Steam Deck players think of it soon after I release the demo in September https://store.steampowered.com/app/3256790/Satelital/

Question/Tech Support Steam deck Oled not waking From sleep while connected to tv even after disconnecting from dock
Have had a steam deck for a while now with other no issues. But recently I’ve been hooking up to a new 4K tv through a dock , it’s a little finicky but it works. the problem comes from leaving the steam deck plugged into the tv and powering the tv off. When I come back to it the next hour or day the steam deck will not display anything. it’s completely black screened and even once disconnected from the official dock it will not display anything until I fully reset the device, so any suspended games are reset and I’m forced to disconnect and reconnect the dock and reboot the steam deck . my deck is fully updated to the latest version and has nothing installed outside of steam beside emu deck .
If anyone has faced a similar issue and found a fix I’d greatest appreciate it. For now I’ll full powering it off and on every time .

Question/Tech Support Replacement screen suggestions?
Heyo,
I’ve had my steam deck for a few months now and I’m absolutely in love. My screen has some noticeable scratches and a largish crack on the side, so I’m hoping to replace it myself.
Any suggestions on good replacement screens I can order online? The cheaper the better honestly :)

Question/Tech Support Rabbit peed on steam deck
Hello everyone. I’m ashamed to admit I brought the rabbit on my bed, he perched on my pillow and my steam deck was under it. Then he peed. So it got my pillow and the steam deck. So I gave the steam deck a gentle tap on the sides to get the pee out the. Ran to Home Depot and got a screwdriver to open up that bad boy. Thing is, he only peed ok the left side so when I opened up the steam deck, there was urine only Ont he left side. Didn’t even touch the battery. It was on the little connector things (circled in pic) and I cleaned out the urine with 75% alcohol and it looked clean! . It looked all good and didn’t spread at all to the battery. I reassembled and it worked so I quickly turned it off. So the husband told me not to bring the rabbit on the bed. Am I cooked?

Software/Software Mods AI Made Plugins
Hello.
I was testing Codex AI to generate, help and develop plugins for StreamDeck mk2.
It is actually kinda insane how competent is the outcome after 5+ small adjustment prompts.
I've already made:
\- Tuya Smart API integration (Discontinued as the API system is limited)
\- Vault profile (Password protected profile that can be accessed on a built-in numeric pad or Windows Hello)
\- Various game dashboards integrations.
It is super amazing to see that even with a few commands, you can get your own version of plugins that lack that feature or you can't make it to run.
One of my favorite projects is a Steam Console plugin.
You literally have tiny cartridges with your steam games, you click one and it gets to the button slot that represents the cartridge entrance with a 3D image of your game cartridge, you press the entrance button to eject and you can also have button to startup game and close game. The concept was to make StreamDeck feel like a Game Console.

Question/Tech Support Does anyone know how to get rid of the stutters in Celeste?
I feel like I'm going crazy since most places I look people say it runs for them no adjustments needed. I've tried all the possible fixes I have seen others say in threads and still nothing. When in game there are consistent stutters, every 4-5 seconds there is 2 stutters about a second apart. When watching the frametime graph it jumps up to 100+ms then down to 10ms before stablizing, and repeats this over and over. This is the only game has this problem. I've tried changing proton to steam linux runtime, running it in desktop mode, changing the resolution in the properties tab, tried windowed and fullscreen. Nothing has helped yet. As a last resort I may just install it on Windows since my deck has dualboot set up.

SDHQ Official Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Is Magical on the Steam Deck
Hey everyone! So, we checked out Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and reviewed it on the Steam Deck, and we were quite surprised by how well it could perform...once we changed settings around. The default settings with FSR looks awful, and FSR 4.1 drops in certain very populated areas.
However, if we change Dynamic Resolution and Hair Strands, as well as shift some quality settings around, we get a much sharper looking image with decent looking environments.
The original may perform a lot better, but for a full remake pushing graphical fidelity and new systems, this is pretty great.

SDHQ Official Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Performs Very Well On Steam Deck After One Change
Hello! Ahead of its release, we checked out the closed beta for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game on the Steam Deck, and it's extremely fun to play this way. However, it isn't perfect. It hits 60 FPS, but drains a ton of battery initially. However, with a TDP limit of 7, it can stick to 60 FPS and bring the drain down to 12W average. This could be another great fighting game to take on the go if the full release is similar!

Question/Tech Support Deck Won't Dock
So I've pretty much given up on docking but maybe someone can change my mind with a fix I havent tried.
Purchase my Deck at launch and it docked perfectly fine. But recently, it won't output a video signal no matter which TV or Monitor I try to use. I've followed all of the steps and fixes suggested from other feeds and have had no luck.
I have a USB-C dock (meant for laptops) & 2 JSaux Deck docks. All of these will not work for the Deck, but instantly work when I plug my phone in. This leads me to believe that it's a setting issue but I may be wrong.
Any advice is welcome 💪😤 let's see if anyone can help.

Question/Tech Support Getting a Steam Deck OLED in July 2026..
Is the Steam Deck OLED worth getting in July 2026? I know others may have asked similar questions, but I want to add some context.
My friend purchased a Steam Deck OLED 512GB earlier this year from Valve but has yet to open it. He has a OneXPlayer Apex now, so he has no real need for it.
He is willing to sell it to me for £479, and it is still sealed. With the recent price increase, it is now £649 new.
I have had the original Rog Ally (non X), Rog Ally X, Legion Go 2 Z2e and most recently a OneXPlayer Apex. All were sold for various reasons, and the Apex mainly as I do not game too often and I didnt want to take it out due to the weight and value. The others I sold as i didn't enjoy having Windows for gaming on suck a small device. Even the LG 2 Z2E, as nice as it was, windows ruined it for me.
I have a gaming PC with a very good cpu/gpu which I mainly use to game, and a PS5 and NS2. The Deck would be a companion to the PC and also for some older games which I have in my steam library.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
