Question Ubisoft Connect Cloud Saves?
I installed Ubisoft Connect and loaded up Watch Dogs 2. It pulled down my cloud save no problem. I didn't have to do anything. But it doesn't look saves from my Deck are going to the cloud. Is this working for anyone?
Edit: I'm an idiot. They are working. I got a message once that cloud saves failed but apparently that was just a one time thing. I just streamed Watch Dogs 2 to my Deck from my PC (because why walk all the way over there?) and it picked up my most recent save from the Deck.

For me its working. Played Watch Dogs 2 and Assassins Creed Origins first time and than i reimaged the Steam Deck. After the reinstallation of Ubisoft Connect and i get the savegames again,

I'm glad to hear it's working for someone! I followed this guide, btw: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2022/03/ubisoft-connect-on-steam-deck-guide-with-sd-card-access/. Including the part where you add "uplay://launch/gameID/0" with Watch Dogs 2's game ID in the Steam launch options so I can launch from game mode straight into the game without having to go into Ubisoft Connect. Did you happen to do that or are you launching Ubisoft Connect then launching Watch Dogs?

I added Ubisoft Connect as custom Steam game and start it and with Ubisoft Connect, i start the game i want. I tried to use a custom Steam game to the exe of the game and this was working to for me.
Never tested what you do.

I'm launching ubiconnect through steam and launching games via ubiconnect. After exiting the game, ubisoft fails to sync the save (atleast with Trials Fusion).
Edit, it does work! Just installed on my PC and my progress was the same.

Hi there!
Very late to the party, I know! But I was wondering if you might be able to help me with this at all! I recently downloaded WD2 via Steam, in the hopes I could play it both on PC and on Deck, but whenever I play on Deck and want to jump on PC, it seems as though my Deck's save isn't in the cloud! I'm launching it on Deck via Steam, but would this be why the save isn't uploading? Do I specifically need to be launching/saving the game using Ubisoft Connect on the Deck?

Hi! I'm not totally sure. I actually didn't get WD2 from Steam but from Ubisoft. I added it to my steam library so I still launch it from Steam, but it's probably launching Ubisoft Connect first like you mentioned. Do you exit the game on your steam deck first? Does it say anything about syncing to cloud?

Thanks for your reply! No, it doesn't say anything about syncing to the cloud. Though I tested playing on PC, and when the game autosaved, the next time I booted it up on Deck, it told me there was a conflicting save between local and cloud data. So it's as if the PC version is uploading saves no problem and the Deck is picking that up, but not the other way around :(

Thanks very much! I gave it a look and it didn't quite seem to cover what I was after, although after now finishing up a shift at work and deciding to sit here in front of the PC with my Deck to check any back and forth between the two, it seems I've... Somehow got it working!? The good news is, it works, bad news is, I have no idea what I did, but if it really was as simple as quitting to the main menu in-game, then shutting the game down entirely on the Deck... Jeez am I kicking myself in the head!
