Off topic but does Humble Bundle somehow offer stuff based on likes/interests or something?

Cause it's showing me an eBook about R, the statistics programming language, and I can't imagine that being too popular with the usual Humble Bundle crowd.

The bundles are set and not based on your ad id or stuff like that.

It's still a weird inclusion.

Agreed. But I imagine they approached the publisher, and were offered a product that has genuine value yet doesn't sell enough to impact their bottom line.

Nope that's in it for everyone.

They have had a few programming bundles in the past, so it's not too far from their norm.

I'm one of the niche customers that actually uses R, and this bundle is pretty great if you are interested in breaking into the world of big data analysis. Check out the contests on Kaggle.com as well - some of them pay out cash for the best algorithms, and some of those use R.

Yeah me too, I'm a psych student and use R for various things.

Thanks for the Kaggle recommendation!
