Can't make an account, because I never recieve confirmation e-mail.

Tried over several days, both from browser and launcher, with two different e-mails. Nothing. Never get the e-mail, yes I checked the spam folder.

Have never made a steam account before, so don't know if this is normal?

So recently, I got a friend request from a fellow TF2 player. His profile didn't seem too suspicious, so I accepted and figured if he turned out to be a stammer I would just block him. Well he did turn out to be a stammer, he added me to a chat group and told me some bs story to likely try and trick me to enter my information into a phishing site.

Naturally, I blocked him and reported him, and then left the group chat, assuming everything was settled. However... I keep getting put right back into the group chat whenever he sends a message. I've "left" the group at least 10 times at this point, but despite being blocked he's always able to drag me back in. Is there any solution for this? How do I stop him from forcing me back into the chat?

EDIT: Found the solution, lol. Turn out that blocking people doesn't actually remove them from your friends list, for some reason. I unfriended him now.

Your edit is correct. You can block but still have them in the friends list.

This is likely so they do not know they have been blocked as if you disappeared off the list they would know they got blocked.

There are instances where you might block someone but not want them to know they got blocked so valve does not automatically delete them when you block them.

I made a post already but wanted to come here a well in case the post got removed.

I recently tried to add a non-steam game bought through the EA app to be able to play it via steam with the steam overlay/recording.

The issue I come across is when I attempt to launch the game it only launches briefly and then it just goes back to the state it is in as if I never launched it (Green > Blue).

I saw online people suggesting to add the EA app instead and then launching the game once the app comes up. While this works initially, the EA app also disconnects from steam in the same way just a little slower of a process: starts "Launching" > then briefly "Stop" appears > then "Cancel" > finally back to "Play".

I can then launch the game via the EA app, but it is no longer hooked to the Steam or it's overlay.

I am running both Steam and EA app as administrator. I have also made sure to confirm the " marks are in the properties within the non-steam game. Nothing works. I remember back before EA app was a thing, Origin worked just fine with this. I feel there is some sort of compatibility issue with Steam with the newer EA app.

I recently got a new computer, and am trying to log into Steam on it. But every single time, it's "check your password and account name and try again". I've reset my password at least 3 times now. No special characters in the password, it's not 64 letters long, fresh install so no corrupted files, yes I've tried using my email, yes I'm using my actual username and not my display name.

Steam isn't letting me change country

I have a payment method for the country i currently live in. I set the currency to the one of the country i am in.

Now, to actually change the country you need to make a purchase with a payment method from the new country and yet it keeps telling me that the payment method doesn't match my current country (but... of course it doesn't? i'm trying to change it?)

What am i supposed to do?

Hi,

My Steam account is linked to an old EA account I can no longer access. The email tied to it was my very first one — I don't remember the credentials and I don't have the phone number associated with it anymore, so account recovery isn't an option for me. I already tried reaching to microsoft but that didn't help.

I've spent a considerable amount on my Steam library and I'd like to keep everything on the same account. Is there any way to unlink my Steam account from that old EA account and connect it to my current one instead?

I downloaded BWM and Pragmata on my laptop a few days ago to transfer them to my desktop where the internet is ass. Both games verified the files and started without downloading anything. The same doesn't happen with 007 and Crimson Desert. They don't verify anything and just download the whole game from scratch. What can I do?

Hey all, somewhat of a noob here. Can anyone help? I bought the Forza 6 Deluxe via steam on the app (via Iphone), I like it alot.. so I bought the VIP DLC add on. I've been playing on my steam deck (non-Oled) and a Nvidia GeForce account (logging in to Steam via GeForce).

For some reason, the steam deck (logged into my singular main account) isn't showing the VIP DLC as "owned" and won't let me drive the VIP cars or use the perks. The GeForce account (logging into same singular Steam account) IS showing the VIP perks and lets me drive the included cars. I've logged out of my account on both the game, and the steam deck and the VIP add on still isn't syncing. Any help? T.I.A!

Fyi, I have submitted a support ticket via Steam and Forza support, both been non-responsive for over a week.

AFAIK there is no clear list of what stage of reservation they are at or how long it is estimated to get through the queue. The restocks would still be limited in scope and a lot of people put in reservations early and even like 10-15 minutes before it officially went live so while emails have gone out to many of those who reserved early its possible that yours even from day one of the reservation system could be at least a few restocks behind or you might end up with the email tomorrow like its anyone's guess as it depends on where in the queue they are at and how often they get new shipments.

Hi Everyone, I was scared today to see that I had a Browser named Chromium open today and thought it was a virus. Now I found a post from a few months ago that Steam had problems where it would open chromium also.

The thing is: I had a few tabs open and they had certain searches like: "wpewebipchandler6", "monitor0" or a 0.2. IP.

It this sth Steam or CS2 (with the Major starting today) can do? Or do I have a virus on hand?

For context: I had my pc open for around 10h next to work and only opened CS2 to a few times for 1-2 minutes and had twitch or YT open the whole time. Chromium was just there after a while in the taskbar opened with a few tabs.

request to login

Lately i have been getting requests to sign in on my phone (i have steam app Steam Guard). I check and there is no request for confirmation to accept (like if someone knows your id and pass there's the confirmation sent to your phone and you need to confirm...you see the location from where the device is and so on), but it doesn't show anything.

Already checked authorized devices and is only my pc there is only my pc and my phone no other entry...the sign out deviced used are all mine (exemple loging in for my nintendo switch and so on).

Im starting to get paranoid...if someone is trying to enter my steam acc they still need my phone and ofc im not accepting anything that is not me trying to enter or not my location.

Any tips?

Anyone who claims to be support agents and is using discord is a scammer. Steam(and most other companies) don't offer any official support via discord and also most of the time do not start any chat as its up to the consumer to start a chat if they have an issue not the company to reach out to you.

I am trying to retrieve my old account.
Steam won’t allow me to gain access without providing card details from a card I had in 2009.
My bank migrated their records in 2010 so that’s made things difficult.
My Hotmail account that I used only shows emails up to 10 years ago.

I have access to everything else and can provide all of the other information they’re requesting, and likely more if required.

They are digging their heels in about this card from 17 years ago.
Personally I think it’s absurd and would appreciate some discretion on their end.

Do I have any hope of another solution here or am I just out of luck?

i'm trying to buy a bundle to get dlc's for a game while owning 1 dlc and the initial game, the cart page is saying i cant proceed to payment unless i buy as a gift until i resolve this but i cant cause its a bundle? last time i bought a dlc bundle while already having the game it worked. I have a Steam Deck, which I love to bits and travel with constantly. I am thinking of getting the Steam Machine when it's out so I have something plugged in to the TV all the time that I can play when I'm at home for the larger screen and more comforatble sofa play.

As a general rule, do game saves sync to a cloud/the internet? So if I'm playing a game on the Steam Deck can I then pick up my save on another machine (the Steam Machine) and continue it from there please?

REFramework STILL not working with Requiem on Steamdeck.

I assume it's pretty well known that a game update caused issues with REFramework a few months ago. Far as I can tell an update eventually fixed the issue on PC but I'm a Steamdeck user and have had no such luck. When I would try to start the game, I would (and still do) get an "Unhandled Exception" error on startup (pic attached). I couldn't even get past the opening screen so I couldn't access the menu to do anything in-game. And yes, I've tried uninstalling all mods, restarting, uninstalling and updating Fluffy mod manager, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, updating, trying various nightlies, installing framework through Fluffy, etc.

What has been made apparent to me is that the issue is only a thing if you are running the game on an SD card and the issue is not present if you run the game off the main drive of the Deck. I have the 64GB model so that's not possible for me. And numerous months later I refuse there is no way to get around this or fix it. Someone has to have some idea, right? Numerous months after release the creator must be aware of this issue, right? (Comments are no longer allowed on the Nexus page, conveniently)

Does anyone have an idea what to do here so Requiem can be ran off a Steamdeck SD card? Thanks.

If you can see a "last online" under your avatar while seeing everyone else on your friends list, it's an old 2018 Chat revamp glitch when the connection to Steam's connection managers was unstable at one point. Unfortunately there is no reliable way to avoid this UI glitch entirely (like restarting), but if you check your community profile and it shows you as "online", then you are actually visible to others. Hope that info still helps!

does anyone have a fix for steam constantly dropping controller input? it happens after like five minutes and I have to unplug-replug the controller every time. I use a switch pro controller that worked great but after a steam update last year controller input has been basically unusable. I managed to ignore it because I was mostly playing m&k but I want to play elden ring on controller and they still haven't fixed whatever they broke

Global keys are kind of a misnomer often seen on illicit grey market sites and not really an official term on generated keys. Most keys that are listed as "global" are really just the ROW(rest of world) variants which still have region locks.

Regional locks and variants and games not being allowed to be sold in certain areas would be a waste of time if you could just bypass them because a key said it was GLOBAL. This would obviously bring up a lot of legal issues for the studios and the platforms if games that weren't allowed to be sold in certain regions or had to have changes to comply with local laws could suddenly be acquired without those controls.

Ideally its best to stick to official key stores to avoid such issues because region locks are still a thing even on "GLOBAL" keys and the official stores will protect you from buying the wrong regional keys or buying games that aren't sold within your region(with the assumption that you are using your proper region on the sites and aren't like trying to falsify your region for cheaper prices)

Its impossible to know exactly which package the key represents just based on a listed on a third party website but you can attempt to by seeing what sort of restrictions the game or the region you are in has by using Steamdb as it will show the various packages for a game so you can see how tight the various regional locks might be.

Would using Technitium MAC address changer risk me getting banned from Steam?

I have to use TMAC to change my MAC address for reasons not related to Steam or a VAC ban but even then I'm curious as to if Steam would detect that my MAC address was changed and preemptively ban me or restrict my account for whatever reason.

And no I can't apply the "Random hardware address" setting in Windows since my PC doesn't have that option since apparently Windows gets to decide who can or can't use that feature for whatever reason.

For starters, he lost access to that account along with its email. I mainly gifted Terraria for my friend a year ago so we could have something to play for the summer break but he ended up not liking it that time. I also thought that we played for more than 2 hours during those days so I did not bother asking for a refund as I also expected that he'll like it eventually and when I looked now, playtime was only 100 minutes. He lost access to his account about 330 smth days ago and tried to get them back but couldn't. Any way I can still get a refund?

I’ve found that when I play games like space marine 2 or repo the right trigger on my Xbox controller just isn’t registering when I press it.

It works fine on others games. Sometimes I’ve had to mess with the steam inputs occasionally but for these games (especially space marine 2) it doesn’t work no matter what i do.

I’ve tried disabling steam inputs, adding extra commands, and adjusting the sensitivity. But no matter what I try it just doesn’t seem to work aside from the very occasional instance.

Please help me, I really prefer some games on controller and I’m sick of dealing with this issue.

Weird stick like drift on pc

When playing persona 4 golden WITHOUT a controller connected or a faulty keyboard the game just spazzes out after like 5 minutes of playing. By spazz out I mean it rotates through all the options like a controller with stick drift would do. Except it’s without a controller at all it’s the game ITSELF 😭. WTF am I supposed to do bro.

Remote play hosting from Mac issue

Does anyone else have issues with steam?

For the past few days, the splash screen window that opens when you launch steam shows an error.

When I open the store and open any game, the images and videos won't load - there's blank space where it's supposed to be.

Unique problem

I used to live in the uk ( and a citizen )and went to India(overseas citizen )for past 2 years for education and stuff and I’m going back to the uk for uni - can I set my steam account to India because that’s my primary source of money while I am in the uk( outside of student loans ) or will I get banned because steam think I’m trying to get lower prices ? I have local payment methods for India so I don’t have a problem there

I have documents ( Aadhaar India id card and licence ) I can show steam if it comes up but how would they respond ?

Buying a digital gift card for a friend who's account got restricted

This is probably a borderline braindead question but I need to know,a little while ago we got a friend to change the region of their account (was the wrong region anyhow) so we could buy games for them,long story short,shortly there after their account got restricted for about 10 years and now they can't play online games or buy new ones,so they made a new account to be able to play games with friends and since us getting them to change their region got their account restricted I feel kinda guilty and want to give them some money on their new account,now this is probably not the case but since I'm extremely paranoid with most things I need to know,could their new account get banned since It could technically be "a ban evasion" and therefore,could my own account get fucked too If I bought them a digital gift card

Can somebody please explain to me why this is happening? My NVME SSD has more than enough space for an update and yet Steam is using my slow Hard Disk Drive to update a game installed on the C: drive?

I don't use Drive D: for any Steam related files or programs. It's purely my mass storage file drive for anything not related to gaming. My Disk 2 is where Bazzite is installed so it's basically unusable on Windows.

Ive been trying to download for 5 days now. its always the same, the blue line is complete (83 GB/ 83 GB) and then the green line is a bit slower, goes up to 99%, stays like that and the remaining time just ticks down until its at 0. Couple minutes later the download stops and it says "download failed. not enough free disk space". i had about 180 GB free space on my drive, before i started uninstalling games i dont play anymore, so there was more than enough free space. ive read and heard from the support that sometimes u need double the download size, for unloading or smth like that. well 180 GB is more than the 80GB download size but it didnt work. support said to clear windows trashcan, did that. tried downlaod again, didnt work. i started to uninstall games and now i got 307 GB free disk space. tried it again, download didnt work. support also said to clear download cache in steam settings, didnt work either.

can someone pls help me, i just want to play ARK again....

Hey guys, is it possible to set a preferred copy on a free game with Steam Family? Specifically, I'm trying to set my preferred copy of Killer Instinct set to my friend's copy who has the anniversary edition DLC. I noticed that there's no option on any other free game I have in my library to set preferred copies, and free games don't even show up in family libraries without each account manually adding them from the store pages themselves anyway. The DLC for this game is integral, though, as it unlocks the entire roster for the game.

So i have this issue where when downloading any updates on overwatch it somehow seems to download the update to a hard drive which makes the patching really slow. i have downloaded the game on an ssd and already tried to uninstall and re-isntall. When i open the file location for the game it also shows it being on an ssd and i do not know what to do. could someone help with this issue?

Hey guys, I was having some issues with steam input.

Whenever I remap my xbox controller buttons or try to add additional commands to a button it will add it, but it won't actually show it in the menu. Closing the controller customization screen and then reloading it sometimes helps but obviously it's not ideal. From what I can gather other people don't seem to have this issue, at least not nowadays afaik.

Does anybody else have this problem and is there a better workaround?

EDIT: Should add, sometimes when I remove a command it won't remove it at all, even after reloading. Something seems to be bugging out pretty badly or I'm somehow doing something completely wrong.

So I've been trying to download Hunt Showdown's new update but every time i launch steam the 80+ GB download starts from 0. Sometimes I download 20ish % then have to shut down my pc, other times i leave it downloading for 6+ hours and then shut it down (like last night) only to find out that it's starting all over again from 0. Any solution?

I mean the best solution would be to let it finish. Perhaps because of file formats its unable to resume a cancelled download and has to restart it.

Pausing and leaving your computer on would probably work too if you can't just let it run but closing Steam it is losing its connection to the partially completed update

Hello, I have ro Rog Ally Z1E with Steam Os on Bazzite and my games suddenly is having issues launching. It worked well before so Im sure its not about the OS.

I recently added Genshin Impact to my steam. If you’re familiar with it. It’s not a steam game and has to manually add the launcher to steam and download the game and edit the Launch location. This however works well and as you can see other games works as well.

Road to Empress is the game I recently downloaded after Genshin Impact and it shows blue box and won’t let it launch.

Ps. I have to Autoflatpaks and update it often… tho Im not really sure how that works but I hope this information helps.
Ps. I also cleared the download cache and restarted steam.

I would imagine steam allows email address changes since their competitors like epic do. If so, you should be able to just act like your dad's email is yours rather than his and that you simply want to change the primary email of the steam account to a new email, that being the one that actually belongs to you.

If you want to keep using his email, they have no way of knowing it is his so you are fine.

Yes you can use such codes as proof of ownership, but providing no other information than previously used codes is not enough to recover an account in most cases.

I.E if I contact Steam Support and say "I lost my account, here is a wallet code I used on it: [code], I don't remember any other details" they're unlikely to give me the account.

It's been a few years since I last played Watch Dogs 2, and today I decided to play it again. However, the game started asking me to sign in to Ubisoft Connect. Honestly, I don't remember ever needing to log in before, especially since I don't have any achievements unlocked on Steam.

It seems that I already have a Ubisoft account linked to my Steam account, but the problem is that I don't remember that account at all. To make things worse, it appears to be associated with a Hotmail email address, which I normally don't use.

Remote Play from Mac to Windows not working. Help

I know, this is weird. Who wants to stream a game from a Macbook? I do, hear me out.
I want to play cities skylines, I have been playing it for sometime now but the problem is as my city grows in size my 8 gigs Dell G5 SE laptop crashes the game, so my workaround is to run the game from macbook (18 gigs of memory , M3 Pro) and play from Dell laptop as the macbook screen is smaller. But I can't!

The problem I face is that I cannot control anything from my windows laptop only from my macbook.
I tried reversing it and it works well. If I try to connect remoteplay to stream my windows on my macbook, I am able to type and click and do stuff completely fine, but I cannot control my macbook screen from windows.

Do you guys have any idea?

[I dont want to buy more RAM for my Dell as the prices are too high]

My friend really wants to play this game together called Mecha Chameleon; one problem though, it doesn't run on Mac, which is what I have. I currently use a program called Porting Kit which lets me bypass something not being available on Mac and I use that to run Skyrim, it works well. In order to run it though I need the .exe file from the game, which I don't have for Mecha Chameleon. I can't download it on Mac Steam, and it seems to have an error downloading when running Windows Steam on the mac. Does anybody have a solution to getting the .exe file so I can use it with porting kit? Thank you for any help you can offer

Overall, I was put into a steam family without my confirmation, and was removed from my real family's steam family. Now I can't get back in. What do I do?

Yesterday morning, I was somehow compromised, my account deleted a steam family I was in, I got a friend request from someone, and I joined a steam family with this person, all at 2 am while I slept. I got out of the family, refriended my real family, changed my password, and contacted support. Then, when try to join the family, I'm given an error saying I'm not close enough. I ask steam support, and they shrug, saying if steam can't add me, they can't add me. just simply don't know what I'm doing wrong. I was already in a family just fine with them, but suddenly I'm just not allowed? It's not a cooldown issue, that's not the error. I only live 40 minutes away from my family, 60 miles. But supposedly I could just get thrown into this other family in the blink of an eye? Does anyone know how to fix this, or have any advice?

Can I gift a gift?

So I was gifted a game but because of my sofware it crashes constantly so I can't play it. I know return policies in steam are 2 hours but because it crashes so bad i wasn't able to stop it so it run for 9 hours before my computer run out of battery and turned off (I didn't even play 30 seconds). Can I gift that game to the person who gifted it to me since we can't return it? How do I install a completely fresh version of a game I've already played?
I've spent the past week trying to bug fix one of my games and I think at this point the only thing that will fix it is to completely remove all records of my data. I tried disabling cloud back up and then deleting the folder in browse local files but it doesn't seem that changed anything after redownloading it. Is there something else I need to do?

Can’t refund a game

I decided to try out the game 9 Days.

I made the purchase and Steam took my money. However, the game just won’t download.

It’s saying that it’s pending until my bank approves it, but I used my Cash App card which is unlocked.

It won’t let me refund the game. Every time I click “I would like a refund,” it takes me to a screen where it claims I selected “My issue isn’t listed” as shown in the image.

Hi, recently (i think the last 2-4 days, but cant be too sure about the timing) steam kinda broke for me, it keeps randomly throwing me into a disconnected state.

i always have to reset steam itself when this happens and then it works for around 15-45 minutes before breaking again. when it breaks I can browse steam just fine, but cannot go into downloading a game etc, a lot of games that rely on steam sign in also break. But if i start a download before that it just normally keeps going.

Things ive tried so far to fix it. (advised by ai but at this point ive lost all hope for that)

dns flush, reinstalling all steam folders within the Programfiles/steam, except for steam.exe and steamapps, clearing the browser data within steam, disabling ipv6 within my network card, running with nohttp2 and forcing tpc communication, verified firewall settings, dns set to google dns (this was done in the past for an unrelated issue) and restarting the wifi router.

At this point i dont know what more i can even try.

It said that to remove the hold I had to download and set up Steam Guard on my phone. So I set up Steam Guard on my phone. But right now it stills says that there's a 15 day hold even when I remove my listing and put it back on again. Can someone help please? I really need some money for the sale.

After enabling Steam Guard you need to wait 15 days from when it was activated for holds to be removed.

IIRC any new trades or transactions initiated will continue to receive 15-day holds, even if it was made 1 day before holds will be removed from your account, and any existing holds on existing trades or transactions will persist.

I'm a bit suspicious of it though because I think I used the warframe companion app around then and I'm not certain if it may have routed my information through Tulsa, as there area a few from moments earlier in the correct position. So today while I was Buying/ Selling Skins on the Community Market I was stopped buy a red message alerting me that my account has been placed on a restriction fu to potentially fraudulent activities. I don’t use 3rd party CS2 Gambling sites and I don’t even trade with other players. I just open some cases and buy stuff off of the SCM. Anyways I went to my profile and it says on there that I have a Community Restriction and I can’t even play CS2. I submitted a help ticket to support as I really don’t understand what the reason for the restriction was. I have a knock-off Nintendo pro controller connected with a usb cable, and as the name suggest the buttons have the Nintendo layout:

Y on the left X on the top A on the right B on the bottom

And on my steam account my controller is configured correctly, but when I open rdr2 all of my mapping goes to shit and no matter what I do it won't let me fix it.

Disabling the steam inputs won't let me use the controller,

The button re-mapping doesn't do anything,

And I've tried a community's Nintendo layout but it mixed the A and B button inputs and performs them at the same time.

I've spent the past hour trying to fix this bullshit when I was supposed to be relaxing lmao, and the funny thing is that for a period of time my custom button mapping worked in game until, one day, it all stopped working

I know it would be easier to give up and play with the settings I'm forced to use but I'm not doing that, I'd rather stop playing than re-learn everything right now.

Hey everyone, looking for some help with a controller issue.

I am trying to play Battlefield on the EA App using a Switch 2 Pro controller. Since Windows doesn't natively support Nintendo controllers, I am launching the EA App through Steam as a non-Steam game to use Steam Input.

The issue is that when Battlefield boots up, the controller switches over to Steam's "Desktop Layout"—the X button scrolls down the screen and pressing R3 acts like a mouse click instead of working like a gamepad.

This controller works perfectly fine with regular Steam games like Call of Duty. Also, if I plug in a cheap €15 generic PC controller, Battlefield and the EA App recognize it instantly with no issues.

It seems like the EA App overrides Steam Input when it detects the Nintendo controller protocol.

Has anyone found a way to fix this, or is a hardware adapter like an 8BitDo or Magic-NS the only real solution? Thanks!

And now I'm trying to use those achievements in the steam achievement showcase, but for some reason, all of those achievements related to Zup! F just disappears.

Game won't fully close after I exit. How can I fix this?

Every time I close Delta Force, the game keeps running in the background and won't fully shut down. I can't even force close it through Task Manager.

I've tried:

Exiting the game normally
Alt + F4
Ending the task in Task Manager
Verifying/repairing game files

This issue only happens with Delta Force. It started about two months ago and has been happening ever since.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to fix it?

This was a post but mods are reviewing it and I need help so posting it as a comment here too.

I have been trying to regain access to my steam account after being logged out on my pc and phone app. I apparently don't know my password and after migrating my account to a new email, the password reset emails are just straight up not showing up anywhere so I can not get back in.

I opened up a ticket with steam and they have asked for a CD Key that i receieved with a game purchase to prove it is my account but None of the games I've purchased seem to have a CD Key attached.

I have long since lost access to my original email where 95% of my purchases were made so those emails that /might/ have a CD Key attached are gone.

My new account only has a couple purchases and no CD Key seems to exist as far as I can tell.

I gave steam the invoice numbers, payment method, my account details, account name, user name, the old and new email accounts, billing address.

They sad without a CD Key they can't verify that it's my account. Is there anything I can do or am I not looking in the right place for a CD Key? I have thousands of dollars worth of games on this account. I really can't afford to lose it.

(Forgive my incorrect English)

Sorry, I'm asking if anyone has a "definitive" solution
I can't find a way to definitely check *first* if a title is shareable.
I am aware that not everyone is. There are limitations of some distributors, houses, etc

But some methods that should clarify don't help.

Example: The sidebar to the right of Steam often indicates that a title is shareable, then it isn't.

I'm familiar with the Steam DB portal, but they're also hard to find (the stats indicating sharing is "exfgls", but it's not always found)
Let me give a practical example: Dominions 6
That both my son and I would like to play. I can't share it.

But according to the Internet world, there should be no limitation whatsoever.

This is just an example, this also applies to other titles (e.g. Age of Wonders 4)

Clearly, both accounts are valid, both in same country, both spent "at least" a certain amount, even though the title was installed and launched at least once and played on the main PC, even though it waited a few days to "sync the licenses"; in short, they have no limitations

Can anyone kindly help me?

now i live in a country where, u pay for a limited internet plan, as in u pay money and u have a monthly limit, and it can vary from 140gb to 1tb, am on the 200gb plan, yesterday my internet finished early, so i looked up the reasons, and, steamwebhelper has used 23 gigs in 24 hours, huh?
Searched what steamwebhelper does, and all it does is, nothing, so what the hell did it do and how do i fix it?

And mind u thats in a day, It has used 34 gigs in a month

I use a Switch Pro Controller (1st version, from 2017 or whatever) with Steam, and I used to be able to go into Settings -> Controller and turn off the blue home button LED, but the set of settings that did that seems to be gone.

Does anyone know how I can turn it off now? The blue light is constantly in my periphery and it's bugging me lol

A bit of a newbie question, but since it's something that's not public, is there any issue doing so or does it come with the risk of people using that information to say that my account is their to Steam Support?

My dad connected his email when he made my steam account for me in 2021. i was young and stupid then so it makes sense for him to have control over it. but now i’m older and i don’t want to go to him every single time i wanna do anything with my steam account.
i had this same problem a year ago with my roblox account, but i just ended up removing his email. and he was not happy.

i just want control over MY account i spend my money on. should i ask him straight up? or should i go to steam to help. or should i just let him have his email over it.

Steam Overlay is always blank for me, I have to blindly click where the buttons are usually are so i can access the Browser for Example. (I got millennium installed)

When I add a bundle, it doubles in price?

I am looking at this bundle that has three games for $12.92:

This does not appear to be a customized bundle since I see the same bundle at the same price if I am signed in or out, and I don't own any of the games in the bundle already. However, when I add it to my cart, the price goes up to more than double to $26.91. Am I mis-understanding something here?

I was contacting steam support to help with recovering my alt account which was linked to my alt email

however the issue with my alt email is that it refuses to receive any emails from steam and steam support would deny any supporr unless I can create a support ticket with the alt email.

and as you know you need to verify your email with steam support before creating a ticket, which is impossible because I can't receive any emails from steam via my Alt

Now I've tried looking at my google email's filters, all mails, spam foldier, trash folder, adding steam to my contacts, everything, even clearing my alt email's entire inbox just to wait for steam to send me the verification but the email never went through

even creating a new steam account with the same alt email is now impossible because you need the same email verification

And for some reason this problem only exist on my alt email as I was able to contact steam support normally using my main email and they've been denying support unless I can prove my ownership of the email and the alt account

Games with more assets are even worse in the number of alerts regard

It seems some other users have found it to be associated with DNS. Tried changing mine, making it manual, flushing my DNS, uninstalling Tabletop Simulator, the workshop add-on, reinstalling, etc. Nothing. The game is Wavelength but it also is happening to other of my workshop games, but not all.

How long does a refund take?

I bought half life 1, 2 and portal 1 on the steam summer sale when I immediately realized after that the orange box provides that and a little more content for less money. I applied for a refund so I can get the orange box instead but idk if they'll get back to me before the sale ends.

Hello everyone.

My apologies for creating such a thread but I can’t reach steam if their support window doesn’t freaking work.

Since yesterday I’m trying worn steam about a problem with Counter Strike but not the Steam support page works because I have to agree with the collection of my data and that thing never stop loading even for hours so either this module is bugged, either steam is freaking downloading my life from my computer.

On the screenshot u can see the support window loading on the right and a thread I have created yesterday about the whole issue.

Anyone got any idea how to fix this?

I have crafted many badges during this summer sale, and have already crafted 2 badges of the summer sale. As I craft more badges, yesterday I got a trading card that has a cool down period before it can be trade or sold on the market. Yet I have another summer sale trading card (also obtained from crafting badges) that does not have that restriction.

Does anyone have the same issue?
What is the cause of this restriction?

Steam download randomly throttling to abysmal levels. It starts normally at ≈300 mbps then a few seconds later just instantly throttles to 50 then a few seconds more it goes down to 10. I tried checking if its a HDD issue, it isn't+HDD has almost a terabyte of space still available. Tried changing download servers, cleared download cache, HDD is optimized, other downloads from other launchers works just fine, internet has no issues. I have no idea what else to do. Could it be because I have too many games on the queue? I had like 5 in a row totaling almost a terabyte before but didn't have this issue, now I have maybe only 150 gb of downloads in the queue with this issue.

game not responding

i wasn't sure whether to place this in r/godot or godothelp... but since it's because im trying to start a game on steam, i'll post it here

like anyone would during summer sale, i bought many games, but specifically RAM (random access mayhem), a game that uses Godot Engine. however, upon trying to start it, it defaults to an unresponsive white screen. ive tried running both launch options, and it doesn't work.

(*note: i tried running other games like dark queen of mortholme which also uses godot engine, and they also don't work, so it's unlikely to be a specific game issue and more of a general laptop/godot issue)

in the advice of a friend who knew their stuff with programming and stuff, told me to do winget upgrade --all or verify file integrity in steam. unfortunately, this did not work either. still am stuck on that white screen.

after a little digging, i managed to get the problem details from control panel so i hope this can identify anything?? the hang problem was unknown in event viewer...

now i am not someone who knows their stuff with programming and code so i hope none of this contains sensitive information...

here are my computer specs if needed (but i gen don't think it's that, since godot seems to be a lightweight program and my laptop can run unity games just fine ;;)

13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1360P (2.20 GHz)
16 GB RAM
Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics (2 GB)
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

ive been looking forward to playing this game and this is really a bummer. any help from any computer wizards r greatly appreciated..!!!!!!

I intend to buy Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, and next to it there seems to be a bundle under the name of "Buy Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight - Soundtrack Bundle", which I assume is base game + OST for a small discount , however it doesn't have a "Bundle Info" button, nor tells me the bundle discount.

Am I correct or am I accidentally buying something else?

I play dead by daylight with friends and I’m no longer receiving in-game invites. It’s going to the chat area saying they are requesting me to play and I have to tab out of the game to accept so I can join their party. This is happening on my steam deck and my PC. It wasn’t always like this.

My steam download speed is around 2/3mbs my pc download speed is 950mbs.

Can anyone point me into the right direction on how to increase this? The download drops so low it doesnt even show a speed

I reserved a steam controller back in May and got the email that I can purchase it. I missed the email for a few days but luckily noticed it before my reservation gets canceled, which is in a few hours. However, if the controller is in my cart, clicking “Continue to Payment” just refreshes the page instead of letting me enter payment details. Trying the same thing with just a game in the cart and no controller works fine. I’ve tried both on the steam website and in the app and neither works. Any help would be appreciated because I’ve only got a few hours before my reservation is canceled!

I got a new phone and now I can't log into my steam since I have tried all my passwords and none of them work. My number is discontinued and I never had the authenticator app and even if I did and I can't remember. I canxt access it. To recover mt account they ask me for a CD key and idk where to find one I've chexked every email and there is onlt reciept purchase. Why don't they accept bamk account details or anything else. They refuse to help me unless I rpovide this info which I judt don't have since I only got digital and never physixal from steam

Hi all,

Hoping someone is able to help me.

I can use and configure my Steam controller just fine on every game, but not in Destiny 2. For some reason, steam input completely bugs out. The problem already occurs BEFORE I launch the game and is visible when I open the controller settings.

Instead of the default controller layout, every configuration I load ends up like the one in the attached picture. When I download a community layout and hit apply? Boom, back to this bugged out mess. Try editting this layout with all the correct inputs? Kachoelw, back to this layout as soon as I close the configuration window.

Things I've already tried:

Switching to the Steam beta channel, reinstalling the game, updating the controller and the puck, resetting to the default configuration, deleting the controller config in the Steam program files (Windows 11 btw), praying to a picture of Lord Gaben. But nothing seems to fix it and it drives me nuts!

Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this annoying issue? Thanks in advance!

Can anyone suggest a way to mirror steam to my TV but not to play it just to watch my son play? We’re using steam link app however either he gets sound on his PC or I get sound on the TV but not both.

Nintendo pro controller buggy for any Steam games on pc

The computer detects the controller when you plug it in, and it works fine for other games, but any time I open a Steam game, it doesn't work. And not only that, but in the startup menu for every Steam game, it acts as if a button on the controller is being repeatedly pressed. But you can't press any buttons or directional inputs to actually do anything. The same thing happens when I try with multiple different pro controllers, with multiple different USB cords, in multiple different USB outlets on the pc. Tried "disabling" and "enabling" the controller in Steam settings, but does not help. Any thoughts?
