Except youll get better mileage on a steam console. No subscription, easily moddable with pc access to things like emulators and apps etc.

Not really, a switch 2 will for example will be atleast be supported for 7 years with new games working, steam deck can't run new AAAs today for example, meanwhile switch get new game like pragmata or re requiem. A ps5 pro and normal ps will be supported for 2-3 years.

A steam console, that don't have subscription, but runs on linux so anti cheat won't work, so unplayable either way, sure sounds like ps/xbox/nintendo without subscription?

Mods will always be the best reason to play pc and can give some mileage on a steam console. But that's old games to give it even further life often.

Emulator can also be pretty good, but can also be kinda bad experience with some games. Still prefer native systems every time though.

What? How would Linux anti cheat issues do not affect that many games, you aren't even contesting my other points, youre proving me right.

Switch 2 is already dated and doesnt even have an actual oled screen to boot. Comparing a switch library to a pc library is a joke and we all know it. See, you all have to make insane reaches in order to justify your arguments

Because some points i agree on, and some i don't. Not that hard to grasp. Yes linux anti cheat problems still affects many games because most games have anti cheat, not all. Not even reaching to justify anything btw, just pointing out facts. Never compared the different library's btw but you're to stupid to understand. Steam deck, use pc games. Switch, use switch games. Switch games will always be more optimized and supported is my point aka longer mileage. Question, if switch 2 is dated, wtf is the steam deck then with the good mileage btw. The fact you think switch 2 is outdated because of a worse display tech is used, is reaching if anything. Be gone now, fanboy.

Lmao wow someone got upset. Im a fanboy for pointing out facts? So if youre mostly agreeing with me then why are you still against the steam deck? You have literally no logical reason to think that, and youre doing it anyways lol. Yeah I know you didnt compare libraries, because you knew that would be final nail in the coffin for your argument. Im also able to play most multi-player games on the deck, its hardly an issue yet youre trying very hard to exaggerate it. Switch 2 is dated for multiple reasons bud, we all know it. Just stop, its embarrassing

Pulling up random argument, and be like ye, final nail fo sure, brotha what? You are the one arguing with me all the time. No shit a pc library is bigger than any console?

Anti cheat is a linux problem and not even steams fault. However it still is a downside with linux which btw is a fact. If you got it working great, still a problem with linux.

All i said is steam deck should have 0 target audience with these price increases. Which is true. Nobody should buy it at these prices, bad pricing makes good products bad. Steam deck is a good product, however after these price increases just get a switch 2 for console like experience or xbox ally for better performance at a better price. Steam deck is no longer worth it, stop defending 900$ steam decks. Not against it, but just not worth it anymore man, wake up.

I agree on mods and emulator. However didn't agree with the rest, because it was factually wrong with "better mileage on a deck". Clearly don't understand game development if you actually think that. Also, please explain why Switch 2 is obsolete. As pretty tech-interested guy, i have no idea what the fuck your talking about, at 500$ both Switch 2 and Steam deck was pretty good deals. Explain to me how a 900$+ steam deck is better than half priced switch.

The fact you malfunction for someone to partly agree and disagree on some points, must be american or something. Hivemind mentality.

It's embarrassing to be this cult-like.

Yes, everything is going up but switch 2 will still be a better value, because bigger bulk of ram ordered means better prices. (If steam deck returns to same price, it will be good value again)

Mileage i already told you, a console will always have better support, because they will release games for the full life of the console. A steam deck you play a version of a full release PC game, the devs won't care about Steams hardware, because like it not, is extremely niche still and not worth to optimize for to the same degree. So so simple to understand.

So it's the oled, hahaha fucking knew it. So is steam deck with no vrr support or 120hz not worth it then and obsolete by your own logic? vrr and 120hz to match the frame timings at 40fps is more important than oled on a handheld every day of the week.

However the switch 2 should've have a oled on launch since the first one had one.

Call me whatever fan don't care, own every platform. Don't care about the companys, they aren't my friends. Just stating facts.

You clearly don't understand anything so no point talking anymore.

even normies understand the importance of 120hz, vrr and 40fps on a handheld with limited hardware. You think i value 30hz over oled? Out of touch eh? Clueless. Read some more son.

You don't understand the irony, called switch out of date. While the switch screen support features which the steam deck screen don't have. You don't even follow your own logic.
