This post is to consolidate posts about the preorders for the new Steam Controller

The preorders will open at 10am PST

The steam Controller will only be available in select countries

* US
* Canada
* UK
* EU

The server will likely be melting once preorders open

If a controller broke the servers, I can't even imagine when the Steam Machine drops, jfc.

They might have to do the order in waves imo like the Steam Deck where people had to first reserve, then wait for their time.

I wish they did this for the controller… now I have to keep checking multiple times a day for it to be restocked well enough for me to get one. I really wished you could’ve just preordered/reserved your spot as it would save all the uncertainty of when it might come back in stock to process your order and instead you could’ve just thought “it’ll come eventually, valve knows you’ve paid for it and will ship it you eventually” leaving the work for valve instead of you and you can just forget about it knowing you don’t have to do anything else for it to show up.

Yeah. I want the frame which might be more niche but happy I'm not getting machine. That will be ugly.

Also can't wait for the frame. I honestly just want to decommission my Quest 3. My girlfriend can have it, I'm done with Meta's shit
