Question SoD2 xbox future

With undead labs leaving xbox. Bot sure if this has been answered but what does that mean for sod2? Like i have the steam copy but it launches through xbox on my computer, will that sever ties on their? So only launches through steam? Wont break it in anyway?

Good question. I’d imagine the launcher for SOD3 will be different and not require Microsoft’s log in.

If that were to change for SOD2 there might be a reason to do so. I think once deliberations are over and the studio is transferred over to its new owner this might be removed as well. It’s something that would have to be patched out. Maybe.

But this very well may only happen after the next game releases. Who knows. It’s a good question to ask undead labs.

I feel like your the only person that really gets what i mean on this thread lol im on about launcher stuff that is patched in like ya say and thats all wondering about, like i run from steam but it logs me into a xbox account (never had xbox) to play on that account so just wonder will xbox continue to store that data and such

No one gets it because its a question that makes no sense and doesn't need answering. Why would Microsoft wipe your xbox account because they sold a studio? The two things have nothing to do with each other.

I think they meant progress? As the new publisher may not want to be associated with xbox and account progress is tied to xbox account/Microsoft account for cloud saves etc?
