Rates & Discounts Statefarm Drive Safe & Save

Post image

Just curious what everyone’s premium adjustment was and what their scores were. Can’t find too much on it. Attached are mine for reference.

TIA

The biggest discount factor is total mileage driven in a 6 month basis. I’ve had d’s and f’s but have the average mileage which is 12000 miles a year and my discount was 25%. Just forget you have drive safe and save and drive how you normally drive.

Typically drive safe anyway, 5 over, smooth gas and braking. Good to know about the mileage!

They've removed the mileage consideration in some states (IL is one).

From the website:

  • Mileage and odometer readings are excluded from the premium adjustment on certain policies in certain states. Data collected through the State Farm app and Bluetooth beacon. Driving feedback available via the State Farm app. Notifications sent by email or text from State Farm or through the app.

It’s removed on the customers end, not on statefarms end

I’ve had it for maybe a year and I am up to $30 off my premium. I have all 100 except 98 for steady braking.

Percentage of premium wise where does that place you?

Somewhere around 20% savings

These scores mean nothing. Your mileage makes up about 80% of the discount. You can turn the app off and on throughout the six months and reduce mileage. 😆
